I spent 5 nights at the hotel with my mother. Excellent location. Basically 4-5 min from the metro-station. Nice area with wonderful restaurants nearby. Safe area. Beautiful park very close, walking distance. (Luxembourg Gardens). The most important part of our stay was the kindness and positive attitude of the reception staff. Lilian, Marie, Maria, and the gentleman (forgot his name) were very polite and helpful. Very knowledgeable of the area and always willing to provide the best advice. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast, lots of healthy choices and excellent service (2 ladies, one from Brazil). I promised them to return with my wife in 2023, definitively will if is God's will Oscar Torres London ON Canada

The hotel is modest-sized, sort of boutique. We stayed for 2 nights - a family of 5 in 1 family room and double room - 2 rooms Excellent communication some few days before arrival. Good location in the centre of Paris with shops and restaurants nearby, but not directly on the high street so it's more quiet. No parking though but street parking outside the hotel which cost 4 euros per hour. The check-in was smooth and the staff are polite and professional. The dining room was cosy and small, but the breakfast selection was small and extremely limited for picky eaters. The rooms were nice and the beds comfy - although double beds are singles put together, not unusual in hotels but it does not make for easy intimacy. The hotel has a sauna and gym in its base (where they also have the dining area). Overall it was lovely. Thanks all.

I found the colour of our very small room pretty intense to be honest. It felt more like staying in a Thai restaurant. But the hotel is in a great location and the staff were very helpful and friendly :)

We stayed at this hotel this past week. Here are my thoughts: Location: Great location. About a 10 min walk to the Notre Dame and to the main shopping attractions in St.Germain. It's in a quiet area, right next to the Sorbonne. It's also < 10 min walk to the Pantheon area. Very nice restaurants and cafes nearby. There are several metro stations < 10 mins walk, which is also great Amenities: It's a small/boutique hotel. We booked a room for 3, and it was a decent size. A li'l tight but not cramped by any means. The interiors were tastefully done and the toilet and bathroom being separate was nice. The room had plenty of natural light (courtyard facing room) which was nice. The mini bar in the room that doubles as a fridge wasn't working, which was a bummer. We had a new minibar installed a couple of days later. The breakfast is typical Continental fare and modest. 20Euros felt a bit high personally speaking. The breakfast room is small but neat and tidy. The wait staff were very cordial and prompt with the service. I ate breakfast most days during my stay and it never got packed and the food was well stocked always. The breakfast was tasty for sure. Lastly, this hotel is no-frills - there's no conference center, gym, pool that I could see so keep that in mind before booking it Service: The front desk and rest of the service staff were great (echo'ing all of the previous comments). Very attentive and supportive. I have nothing but high praise for ALL of them! Kudos to all of you If i had one 'con' I'd say that this hotel didn't feel like a 4 star hotel, more like a 3.5 star. The hotel was very neat and pretty for sure but don't expect a fancy hotel if that's what you are looking for We had a very nice stay at this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to book it again in the future

Great location, very beautiful hotel and rooms, the cleaning wqs more than excellent, the receptionist Marie's service was perfect, super attentive and ready to help, but the missing star is because of breakfast, which in addition to have very few food options (first time I saw a 4 star hotel breakfast with only egg and nuggets as a hot food option), the woman who works at breakfast (her name is Alla) was very rude. She didn't even say good morning and was already complaining about nonsense, such as, for example, that my boyfriend and I sat at a 4-seat round table when we were two, and we were only allowed to sit in a square table THAT ALSO WAS FOR 4 PEOPLE. She complained to all the guests all the time about totally unnecessary things. We saw a man with his two children who arrived for breakfast at 15 minutes to 10 am (breakfast time) and she wouldn't even allow them to be seated. Besides not saying good morning before. Very rude and a very bad way to start your days in Paris. Such a wonderful hotel surely shouldn't have such staff, and having a good breakfast would make a difference.

Dirty, old hotel with strange room plans. The floors you are afraid to walk on, the shower stand broken...

This place is under construction and CLOSED for business. They are very irresponsible to still allow guests to book them!!! My luggage is lost at the airport and I left the address of the hotel for delivery not knowing that it’s closed!!!

Let me start by saying, the Grand Hotel Saint Michel is a beautiful hotel, in a decent area of Paris. The staff here were top-notch, very nice and informative. The cleaners were fantastic and always kept the room sparkling. Location-wise, it's pretty good. Seemed like a clean and safe area, mind you there was a garbage strike so hard to judge the clean part accurately. Short walk to the Pantheon. The room we had was a really cool, unique room. Never seen one like it. One of a kind. Sofa bed down like 5 stairs, little outdoor area off of the living room area. Queen bed upstairs. The bed was ok, not as comfortable as I would have expected. Free waters were a nice addition to the room. As we're the cookies. The same remote for the TVs in the room was odd and posed some issues. No Netflix built-in which was a bummer. The washroom is where some issues were. The rain shower head was absolutely horrible and useless. The hot water seemed to be very limited. The warmer you made it to, the less pressure there was. Lastly, there was a slight sulphur smell, but I think that may just be Paris plumbing. I doubt I'd stay here again, not because I didn't enjoy our stay but because I like trying new properties. 4/5. _______________________ Follow me for more reviews, tips and photos!

This hotel was booked, directly with the hotel (I received confirmation and proceeded to book a car service that the hotel recommended) a month before we were to arrive. Then, 2 days before we arrived, I received an email saying they did not take Amex and that I needed to change my payment. Fine. But 2 (two) minutes later the hotel cancelled my booking saying they do not take Amex... but even in the cancellation booking, it clearly states that it does take Amex. Regardless, I would have been happy to give them another card for the nearly €1000 booking. The front desk said the booking was cancelled in the central office, and that they could not help me. Though I could go online and rebook a room. This was less than 48 hours until we were to be in Paris. There was no offer to help, or to even rebook the room for me while I was on the phone. I also lost money in the car booking, which was only partially refundable. In short, stay away from booking with this hotel. It was exceptionally expensive and a waste of time to try to rebook a hotel for 3 travellers in central Paris at such short notice.

We booked the panoramic balcony room and it was definitely worth it! The balcony was peaceful during the day and at night. They renovated the room so it looked more modern than what was shown on site which was a nice surprise. Great location in the Latin quarter, easily accessible to everything and the staff are friendly! They were able to provide us with everything requested. Merci beaucoup.

Exceptional experience!! The staff is so welcoming, warm, and accommodating!! They made me feel right at home and upgraded my room to a street view. They were there for me and took care of my needs daily. They went above and beyond and even bought me a blow dryer since I wanted a more powerful one. One eve, a silver platter with fruit and pastries greeted me. Another eve, they gave me my own hot water urn. They upgraded my fridge as well. So attentive and kind!! I highly recommend!! Will definitely come back!! 💕💕💕😘😘😘 shoutout to the manager, Marie, Cecilia at reception and all the wonderful staff!! Merci beaucoup!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

The service at the Saint Michel was great! Everyone was helpful and it was wonderful that they spoke English. My husband and I were upgraded to a room with a little balcony. The room was well decorated, bed was comfy and soft, and the mini fridge was useful for the snacks we brought during traveling. The breakfast was good and had a nice variety of foods, French and American. Metro stops are close enough to walk to, even with large suitcases. For the price, I would have liked a little more space, and a little more attention to details. The headboard was scuffed, spider webs on the balcony, and tiny nicks in the wall. Overall, it was fantastic, but those are the only few things keeping it from being a perfect rating. My husband and I would probably stay there again.

The location are perfect. Metro station nearby along walkable distance from Luxembourg garden , latin quarters and notre dame. Rooms are a bit small (same like most hotels in paris). Will highly suggest . Had a pleasant stay here.

We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for our first stay in Paris. The staff was simply amazing and so helpful. Everything was so clean, and the staff was so attentive. They provided excellent recommendations on nearby shops and restaurants. The services provided are excellent. We would absolutely stay there again. You can't beat the location.

Rooms are very clean, beds are super soft and comfortable, the A/C unit works fast and gets so cold! Great Wi-Fi, excellent housekeeping, and very friendly front desk staff. The view we had was of the Sorbonne observatory and the room was very quiet at night. The view is great, close enough to a variety of restaurants and metro lines, but not so close it was loud. It’s Paris, so it’s small, but it has a reasonably sized wardrobe, lots of shelves in the bathroom, and a small table and a desk. The bathroom shower got very hot, and had great pressure, but I wouldn’t want to try to get in and out of the tub/navigate the dormer if I’d been drinking. We had no issues, and would stay again, I only mention it in case you have mobility issues, be sure to ask for accommodations in advance. Also, no coffee or tea in room, but two filtered water bottles refilled each day.

We reserved this hotel via Expedia. Location was great, so many great local restaurants, any type of cuisine. Walking distance from Notre- Dame Cathedral, the Louvre and other places. The hotel staff were super friendly and useful. We asked for a family room and we got two rooms connected at the front door (302 and 303). They were cleaned, comfortable and the best was 2 bathrooms for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We will be back!

Within walking distance (10 min) of Notre Dame and Luxembourg Metro (3 min)! Wonderful, modern hotel in the 5th Arrondissement (just down the street from the Panthéon). The service is friendly and accommodating; just ask, they're more than happy to help. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my family (w/ 7y old) back here whenever we visit Paris!

Great location in a splendid student area with tons of bookstores and eateries! The hotel has some awesome features like a sauna and a tea room. Staff are very kind and speak multiple languages - Ryan in particular ensured we had a pleasant stay. Thank you so much and hope to return soon!

the size of the room was Ok compared to the other hotels where I stayed in Paris Location is great, you can walk from the hotel to almost all the important touristic sites in Paris and it’s very close to the metro station. The staff speaks many languages. The room was well cleaned. I was able to leave my luggage and to recuperate it later. When I came back the receptionist offered me a coffee and cake. It was nice of her. Thank you. Unfortunately the spa was not functional during my staying. The breakfast was decent (croissants, cakes, yogurts, different types of French cheese, salmon fish etc) I will come back

The rooms were small but clean and exactly what you need when traveling as a tourist since you don't spend too much time in the room. The front desk workers were very nice and helpful. In a very nice area close to Notre Dame, lots of cafes and restaurants to eat, close to Big Bus tour. Would recommend and would stay again for future trips!

I suppose it’s good value for Paris .. but at 320 euro per night for a small room it’s still bloody expensive Very nice area Staff are nice Room is clean Outside the room the hotel is tired

A great hotel, especially if you're traveling with an infant. Marie and the staff were wonderful during our 6-night stay. We traveled on vacation with our 5-month old daughter, and the stroller/carseat/suitcases that entails. The hotel got us a convenient room, and staff were very helpful in managing our equipment. We also arranged for nanny services through the hotel, very reasonably priced and the nanny bonded wonderfully with our daughter (who usually has stranger danger). Would highly recommend!

I booked at this hotel in Sept 2021. Due to international travel rules changing, I cancelled my reservation. They still charged me $250 (one night's stay) even though I cancelled several months before the stay. They claimed I never cancelled my reservation. BUYER BEWARE. Very deceptive business practices. I will never book at this hotel again.

Fantastic hotel. Would deserve 5 stars if only they had more facilities. Staff are helpful and nice. Rooms look fantastic. View could be better but you cant expect to see anything either way as the buildings are right next to each other. Overall a fantastic small hotel. Will definitely recommend and go again if i am nearby.

Hotel room is small but functional. Bathroom- I think could be engineered better. The shower door is odd. It is nice they have afternoon tea and a sauna downstairs. I felt location was just ok, and as a female at night I didn’t feel completely comfortable walking the nearby streets.

Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectation during our 6 day stay . The front desk greeted us warmly and went out of their way to ensure our visit was great . The morning buffet was beautifully presented and maintained . The food was fresh and delicious. The ladies running it were warm and responsive to any request. Housekeeping was excellent and did a thorough job daily .The location of the property is a 10 ,and the Latin Quarter is filled with great sites ,food and activities.A repeat visit is in order!!

This is a delightful little hotel nestled walking distance between the many sights of Paris including Notre Dam and the Louvre. Staff were warm and Friendly. In European tradition the rooms are small, they are warm and cosy, beautifully decorated and well appointed with robes, towels and supplies. We neglected to take pictures of our room as when we came in from sightseeing we were straight to our cozy bed. We left a few items behind by accident and the staff secured them and ensured their safe return. How amazing is that!
