I have a slight obsession with the hotel chain and have stayed at so many Mandarin Oriental hotels all over the world, just not in Paris! I booked it to celebrate my daughters birthday and have no regrets! Location is perfect and brunch was delightful. The pool is fantastic and rooms are very comfortable. Service was impeccable from the moment we arrived and my daughter has been made to feel utterly special. Staff are attentive, friendly, professional and efficient. We sadly leave tomorrow but wished we were staying longer! We had a small glitch with the room that needed a technician to fix but it was dealt with swiftly and professionally. This is why you stay at an establishment like this, because things are resolved to the highest standard and customer care is paramount. Would not hesitate to return, especially as children are made to feel very welcome. Thank you M.O Paris team for a memorable stay. We cannot wait to come back!

Bar8 is THE ideal location to be on a hot summer day in Paris. Very nicely decorated bar, cosy, friendly staff, service always rendered with a smile, professional team serving high-end cocktails and quality dishes. Fair prices for the hotel 'palace' rating and location. In short, THE palace place to be in Paris if you are hanging around the golden triangle (Triangle d'or) in Paris. Special thanks to Valentine and her dedicated team.

Stayed three nights, 3.5* but rounded up to 4. Pros are: 1. The outdoor bar area is beautiful 2. Staff are all pretty nice 3. Location is great Cons: (overall I feel just below a 5* hotel expectations for the smaller details. Honestly had I done it again I’d stay at the Ritz) 1. Place needs a bit of an upgrade with renovations, felt a bit dirty and old, not in a good way. Some things functionally don’t make sense like one shower head is pointed at your hip. Bed was strangely and uncharacteristically very stiff as noted in another persons review. 2. I was sleeping due to 3am flight and had do not disturb and they kept knocking on my door and woke me up and even came in my room I have no idea why it’s a simple thing do not disturb means do not disturb 3. Maybe bad luck but found a big shard of glass next to my bed 4. Camélia restaurant went downhill it’s a entry level training ground now for the 2* Michelin restaurant so it’s amateur hour with the price of a luxe restaurant. If you order one of the egg starters it’s just a giant raw onion and your breathe will smell like horrible for the rest of night don’t kiss anyone for sure. Servers are super kind but super inexperienced on hospitality. I’ll leave a separate review for this.

i was super excited to return to MO Paris after long 3 years of pandemic. however, i must say i am little let down realising that it wasnt at the top class level as it were. primarily on services, friendliness of the team & the concierge. probably it was due to the fashion week, but it should not be the reason as i was paying 2.5times more vs my last stay in 2019. this experience gave me a wake up call whether i should start exploring other hotel options given the fact that with only an adequate level of service quality but in hefty price tag MO is embarking now.

Being guests of Mandarin Oriental was the highlight of our visit to Paris! The property is beautiful and exceptionally maintained, with state of the art conveniences and luxurious furnishings, bedding and bathroom amenities. The hotel is conveniently located and provides a respite from the hustle and bustle of Paris. Each and every staff member we met exuded a sincere kindness not experienced elsewhere and welcomed us “home.” They were always available to assist with anything we requested without hesitation. Under the exceptional leadership of Charlotte von Maltzan, Front of House Manager, we were made to feel welcomed and valued. I am a fan!

If there were an option to not give any stars I would use it. The service was terrible and the rooms were old and filthy. When booking this we were all so excited to come back to the mandarin but it’s nothing the one in London. If you want to go to Paris why not try the Rits or the Plaza and not the mandarin. Trust me I’m saving you from a nightmare Yours truly

Within the Mandarin Oriental group hotels in Europe, Paris is without a doubt the best. Very good location. The patio/garden inside the hotel is very beautiful and having breakfast there or going to the bar at night is very special. The bedroom is large (but without losing the coziness) and the bathroom too. Very polite staff, especially the manager Charlotte, helpful and polite. We hope to return to Paris soon, and we will definitely stay here again.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel! The exceptional service provided by Räis Boukhedouni at Reception and Daniel during breakfast truly made my experience unforgettable. Rais went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in and addressed all my needs with a warm and professional demeanor. Daniel's attentive and friendly service during breakfast created the perfect start to each day of my stay. Their dedication and genuine care for guests truly set this hotel apart. I can't wait to return for another wonderful stay!

We stopped by and enjoyed a tea time at the Camilla restaurant. Normally you need a reservation, but they were able to fit us in. Louis was our server and he was so kind - he made a fabulous recommendation for the dessert choice, brought us additional hot drinks and overall allowed us to enjoy a beautiful tea time date in the afternoon. Merci Beauvoir Louis !!

This is an excellent hotel, easily the best I’ve stayed at. I would like to highlight the superb service from the staff - from the entrance to the house keeping and the restaurant - excellence everywhere. The breakfast was amazing, and their willingness to be flexible towards young guests is really nice. The only thing that I was slightly disappointed from was the room service , which was overpriced.

I have stayed in a few Mandarin Oriental globally and must admit it’s a hotel where it’s easy to feel comfortable. 1) the rooms are quite nice, well appointed and extremely comfortable. I just wish the pillow was a bit harder as I prefer it to a soft pillow. 2) I am always well greeted and the staff is good. I was a bit disappointed by the concierge that I expected to have better access to the exclusive restaurants and ended up using my contacts instead. 3) breakfast on the terrasse is quite nice. 4) the best feature of the hotel is its amazing location! Nothing tops that in paris! Overall I quite recommend this hotel.

Adrian, Henri, Alex, Pat, Antonio, Vincent We had the best time, and we owe it to you. We are food people. We came to Paris to see the culture and eat! What odds would a published food critic like Adrian take us under his wing on day one? Paris is enormous when it comes to choices, and there is a restaurant on every corner. The guidance you gave us helped make our whole trip. You listened to every concern we had and made perfect recommendations. You were genuinely concerned about us and worked so hard to help make our stay eternally memorable, and we are so grateful. Adrian getting us out of the rain in 20 minutes and into the Museum De Orsay was just above and beyond the call of duty. He also helped us find a doctor and got the medicine we needed delivered to our room! Edouard, the entire staff was incredible, and the Mandarin has something extraordinary here in Paris. Pat was fantastic and invited us out to see him, DJ; he’s such a talented artist!!! Alex got us a reservation at the impossible MUN. Henri found the best Italian Restaurant on the fly. Antonio hand-delivered a gift to our room, and Vincent, always hailed cabs and ensured we were headed to the correct address. This is incredible service. We appreciate all this so much. Protect this kind of service and personal care because it goes a long way with your guests. Customers like us become friends with treatment like this. We are now forever friends! And subsequently forever loyal to the hotel and the brand. Thank you, Adrian, and thank you ALL at the Mandarin Oriental!

Had a splendid time for this returning trip . Had a chance to enjoy the garden bar and restaurant which I didn’t have time to attend during previous stays . It is such a treat to enjoy a pot of green tea and some fresh fruits under the sun , feels like in a small park , an escape from busy shopping districts. Front desk and Concierge are all super friendly. Especially Jean Mariani from the concierge, probably one of the best concierge I have ever met in Paris . Helped me tremendously in organizing a boat event , attention to details, thoughtful and responsive, went for the extra mile for everything ! Jean’s colleague also helped us identify a luxury bag on the boat and had it delivered by a trusted driver to us in the restaurant , and all these work were done in the hour after 10pm . Amazing! Other plus noticed this time is : most major fashion brands are within 10 minutes walking distance , so convenient for bz travelers who doesn’t have time shopping. 50 minutes got most of shopping task done 😀

I stopped in for a drink at the bar and some nibbles before heading out to dinner. The staff were SO friendly, the drinks delicious and the atmosphere super nice. It’s pricey with a cocktails ranging at €30 each and a glass of champagne being €35. If the prices don’t make your eyes water: do stop by.

Hospitality and low key elegance is what you will find. Look for Nadia and Matthew at the bar at the courtyard to make your stay super special. Alexia is an amazing manager who made us feel so welcome checking in. If your looking for best location, superb service with understated elegance come here.

From yours truly, the Wanderlust Weaver for the hidden gems! From the moment I entered the Mandarin Oriental, I was transported to a world of elegance and luxury. The attention to detail in the hotel's design and decor is truly remarkable. The fan-shaped cookies provided as a welcome amenity were not only delicious but also a unique touch that added to the overall enchantment. One of the standout features of this hotel is its exclusive skin care line. As a skincare enthusiast, I was thrilled to discover that this line is only sold in a few select venues, including the Mandarin Oriental. The products provided in the room were of exceptional quality and left my skin feeling rejuvenated and pampered. The Mandarin Oriental is like a hidden gem, tucked away in plain sight. Its exclusive address, nestled among celebrated luxury stores and famous landmarks, adds to its allure. Despite its prime location, the hotel manages to create an atmosphere of tranquility and privacy, making it a perfect retreat from the bustling city. The staff at the Mandarin Oriental are undoubtedly the icing on the cake. They are attentive, professional, and genuinely caring, ensuring that every guest feels like royalty. From the moment I checked in until the time of my departure, I was treated with the utmost courtesy and warmth. The level of service provided by the staff truly sets this hotel apart from others. The Mandarin Oriental offers a range of amenities that cater to every need. Whether it's the world-class spa, the exquisite dining options, or the state-of-the-art fitness center, there is something for everyone. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel's offerings is evident, making it a truly magical experience. Overall, my visit to the Mandarin Oriental was nothing short of magical. From the fan-shaped cookies and exclusive skin care line to the exquisite surroundings and impeccable service, every moment spent in this hotel was a delight. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious and enchanting stay.

Our stay at the Mandarin Oriental in Paris was wonderful. The check in was easy and personalized, our suite wasn't ready yet so we were given a different room to use in the meantime. Everyone we worked with during our stay was so accommodating and friendly. We received daily surprises in our room which were delicious. We will definitely be back if we're in Paris again.

Simply outstanding. The room is well decorated. Lots of details are taken care of (yoga mat etc). Thumbs up for the big bathtub. The swimming pool is ok. Though they did forget the journal at breakfast and never brought them to us.

Very poor service at the bar. The table was dirty with the rest of the cakes and water drops but the lady who guided us to that table didn’t care and just left a menu book. Finally, after at least 20 minutes of efforts trying to catch their attention, I had to raise my voice to ask a waiter to come and clean, and take our order (we were inside, in front of the bar. We couldn’t be more visible). Despite the fact that I expressed my preference for garden seats, the waitress (or reception staff) didn’t take it in account. Later, I saw a couple who came after us were guided to the garden. But they came back 15 minutes later to find their cocktails left on the table. The waiters didn’t bring the drinks to the clients’ new table. The place is very nice but the service is deplorable. It seems none of the service staff pays attention to the clients. All I remember of this bar is a sound of heel shoes. The staff who walked back and worth rapidly without taking care of their clients.

Stayed for 3 nights and booked under the American express centurion travel affiliate hotels. Service was good with early check in/free beverages and an extremely helpful team of staff who will attend to almost all your needs. Definitely will return again

We came during the Fashion week, simply wonderful ! Perfect service, delicious cocktails! Very very crowded- but that’s what makes a bar! We have waited 15 minutes to be seated outside - worth waiting! Everybody were very pleasant! We will definitely come back! Thank you,

I've been lucky enough to stay at most of the world's best hotel brands but mandarin oriental was one I hadn't so I was excited to book it. The service of the hotel was generally very good. The room was a good size although I didn't think it was particularly luxurious and I found the bed genuinely very uncomfortable and firm. I struggled to sleep on it. Very unusual for a nice hotel. I also thought they were being ridiculous on the prices charged in the hotel. 10 euros for a kitkat. 12 for Orange juice at breakfast. 42 for a burger. Of course you don't expect prices to be cheap in a nice hotel in Paris, but I thought this was just a bit ridiculous. As a comparison. I recently stayed in another Asian hotel brand, shangri la, in a comparable city, London. The hotel is nicer and prices fairer.

This is true 5 star hotel. Luxury and great service. Even my son got his own bath robe and slippers. Very clean and nice restaurant. Just a overpriced breakfast menu. But this is again, very luxurious and staff is very friendly.

Very nice and confortable stay. super silent room. However a bit complicated the lighting system in the room and above all too complicated to get the internet connection. The registration is crazy. It's a must nowadays, and should be done without even a password.

Our last visit was back in 2015 and we couldn't wait to get back. After this last trip, which exceeded our exceptions, we remembered why we were so eager to return. The entire staff was friendly, professional and exceptionally welcoming. For 4 days we were made to feel like family. The property itself is stunning and the service from the staff (Bar 8, Camila and concierge team was fantastic as well). We cannot wait to return to our home in Paris!

The Mandarin Oriental, Paris is a beautiful haven in the middle of a bustling city. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the food sublime and the service impeccable. The concierge team was able to recommend exactly the types of restaurants we were looking for and in general all the staff members are very warm and helpful. Thank you for making my birthday/anniversary celebration weekend stay special!

I had the most wonderful stay at Mandarin Oriental, Paris. The location could have not been more perfect, the hotel is stunning but most of all the team is extraordinary. They went above and beyond to meet every one of my requests and the best part they did it with a smile. In Room Dining service was so prompt, Camelia breakfast was delicious and service was excellent, the ambiance of the garden could have not been more perfect. Adrian at the Concierge was able to secure some of the best restaurants for us and Alexia helped with our last minute reservation for tea at Ritz. House car was such a bonus and Door Staff always tried to get it for us without having to ask. It was my friend's birthday during the stay and they were so sweet to arrange a birthday amenity along with a card, the acknowledgment was fantastic. There is no better place to stay when in Paris. Unlike a lot of the palace hotels in Paris that feel a little pompous, this was such a perfect oasis in the middle of Paris. Cannot say thank you enough for a perfect stay!

  • 3/5 Teresa M. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms were lovely. The service from most of the staff was excellent. The garden lounge was beautiful. I had to bring a caregiver at the last minute and while they made arrangemnts for a room, they would not provide it at the same price as I was paying. 4 nights for a caregiver room was $9000+ CDN and there was no opportunity for even discussion. It was triple what I paid for my room. I won't be back.

Mandarin Oriental, Paris, is an exceptional hotel where the staff goes above and beyond to make sure guests are well looked after and pampered. Everything at the hotel calls for effortless perfection: from the booking process, the welcome email before the stay, the amenities in the room, the room itself of course, the thoughtful touches of the housekeeping team, the knowledge and efficiency of the concierge team. I particularly enjoyed the check-in experience with lovely Chloe. Thank you Mandarin Oriental for creating long-lasting family memories of a FANtastic stay in the city of lights.

I was there on 4 Oct for the outside bar but there was no space, so I was advised to go inside instead. When I sat down and asked to order the lady told me that they are not serving drinks inside, yet they sat big groups of people who came after me. Then the bar tenders started banging glasses loud, it felt like they were trying to make me feel uncomfortable. When I got up for a second the lady came and pushed my chair back to its original position -- like she was getting the table ready and for me to be gone. Then they tried to place a group of people on my table even though the whole place was empty anyways. It was a very insulting experience. (The guy at the reception was nice.) My guess is that the American/French operation that's after me for political reasons was there and this is the reason for all this. I left with a bad feeling for the brand Mandarin Oriental.

Fantastic location in the heart of Paris, close to most activities you would wish and want to do. The personalized service is most welcoming and the garden centrepiece which every room looks onto invokes a sense of tranquility that really makes the hotel a secret hideaway in a busy city. The quality of the breakfast at Camélia with both excellent French boulangerie and Asian Dim Sum selection is also something we highly recommend.
