Absolutely perfect experience as a solo female traveler. I was there in late May 2022. For 10 nights. Clean, charming, budget friendly hotel. Close to many spots of interest. The staff was incredibly kind and patient with my limited french and my crazy night owl self coming and going at all hours of the night 🤣

Thank you for making a family of 7 feel welcomed . Your hotel is really clean and your staff friendly . You have the perfect location for children , just steps to the The Luxembourg Gardens . These gardens provided a place for us to relax and the children to run off their energy . Staying at this location we were close to all necessary sites but more importantly we had the opportunity to just walk around the neighborhood and love Paris.

The whole experience of staying here was wonderful from start to finish. On arrival we got lovely friendly welcome and all members of staff went out of their way to way to ensure that we had the best possible stay. The bedroom and bathroom were exceptionally clean and very well appointed. The breakfasts are amazing with so much variety of fresh food and drinks. The location is perfect. All in all a wonderful hotel and we would be very happy to return there.

I want to express my gratitude and respect to the owner and staff of the hotel. I'm having a difficult time during the pandemic when I couldn't fly to Paris, they kept my reservation. Thank you very much for your understanding! During my stay at the hotel, I saw goodwill and friendliness, willingness to answer any questions and provide assistance. Russian bank cards do not work in Europe now and they helped me in buying tickets to Mont Saint Michel. This is an invaluable gift for me. I want to note the cleanliness of the hotel and the calm atmosphere. After long walks around the city, I like to drink tea in the evening. The lack of a kettle in the room is not a problem. I could take hot water to the reception, make tea and drink in peace in my room. One word can be said about the location of the hotel - magnificent! I had the best impressions and a great desire to return. Next time I won't even think about looking for a hotel in Paris. I found my paradise in this beautiful city.

Location is incredible, beds super comfortable. Staff is lovely, friendly and speaking English. Breakfast is delicious but make sure you arrive before half 9 am because there's no second round of food that is gone lol... The only downside is no air conditioner as summer can be very hot... And no fridge to put snacks... Walking distance from everything you want to see in Paris. If you don't like to walk, metro Opera is a minute away.

First of all, Jason at reception is an absolute gem. Really friendly, had some food and drink recommendations and started my visit off right! A lady stopped me in the lobby and said “you have to have the breakfast”. And she was right to do so. Really great choices and even had almond milk! The room was fine for what I paid for. It had everything I needed and was clean. Sure it was basic but again, I feel I got what I paid for given the fantastic location. I’ve certainly experienced far worse. It’s very, very Parisian (tiny lift, I had a wet room bathroom, etc.) Would certainly stay again.

I had high hopes for this hotel due to its superb location, which is conveniently close to the metro and main attractions. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the room I was assigned on the 6th floor. Despite the summer temperature reaching 27C at night, the room had no proper air conditioning and only had a small fan, which was simply inadequate. As a guest, I strongly believe that offering rooms without proper AC during the summer season is unsustainable and unacceptable. On a positive note, I must commend the personnel of the hotel for their kind and professional service. They were attentive and accommodating throughout my stay. However, based on my experience, I strongly advise against booking this hotel during the summer season unless you are accustomed to sleeping in extreme heat. The discomfort caused by the lack of proper cooling made it difficult to have a restful night's sleep. I hope that the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and considers implementing appropriate measures to ensure guest comfort during hot weather conditions.

First of all, Jason is golden. Thank you for everything. The room was exactly what I was looking for, with an excellent location, it was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Worth considering when visiting Paris.

I have enjoyed my stay on the last day in Paris last winter. It’s small but good enough for me. The location is pretty good and convenient, easy to travel to anywhere you want in the centre. The breakfast is average, I wouldn’t recommend. You probably can find better place to go for breakfast nearby. I love the view outside the balcony. Even though you don’t see much of Paris city, it’s still lovely to see the buildings close by.

A truly enjoyable hotel stay. Was very pleasantly surprised and highly recommend. Group of friends traveling to Paris and looking for something budget friendly but still nice and we got really nice and really budget friendly. The family room was huge and we were able to get four beds. The toilet is separate from shower and sink so different people can be in each. Great water pressure, hot water lasted, cute balcony, small elevator to room, super clean, good housekeeping. Seriously all amazing. Location is also fantastic. Close enough to all the fun stuff while being tucked just far enough away so it isn’s loud. This “2 star hotel” puts a lot of 4 stars to shame. Will definitely be back!

We loved this hotel. We had a room with 2 single beds and while it was small it had what we needed. The balcony is perfect especially for getting fresh air. Room was cleaned daily and the whole hotel felt nice and clean. Location is great for either metro or bus. We didn’t have the breakfast but did grab coffee which was delicious. The 3 gentlemen who rotated afternoon and evening/overnight shifts were fantastic. So friendly and helpful. Would be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Paris.

Really friendly and welcoming staff! Service was excellent. Amazing location that you really can't beat for the price. Rooms are small, even for Europe. Bare minimum on amenities, but otherwise this is a great place to stay for your trip.

Highly recommended, friendly and helpful staff, rooms are good though keep in mind they don't have air conditioning I think in most rooms. I was ok cause I slept with door open and breeze. (They have a fan as well). Location is fantastic, great area with lots of nearby attractions, restaurants and a convenient metro line (very close by). Breakfast buffet was very good too. Would come here again if I come back.

The staff are absolutely amazing and can give fantastic recommendations if you need them. The rooms are nice, great view and nice balconies. Most attractions like the Pantheon, Lourve, Notre-Dame, catacombs ect are within walking distance and there are a ton of food places nearby and some cute stores too. The only downsides are: there is no fridge, so if you’re bringing food or drinks keep this in mind. There is no air conditioning (this seems to be common for France) so if you’re going in summer it does get hot and leave the bathroom door open after you shower because there’s no ventilation in there so it can get steamy. Overall, I would stay again and thank you to the incredible staff there!

An adorable little hotel with a wonderful staff, excellent location, and very nice rooms for the price. The breakfast is also great. 11/10, highly recommend.

We had lovely 2 nights in this hotel! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful :) the room was clean and had everything we needed. The only thing I have to complain about are the thin walls, we sadly could here everything, even the fan of the room next to us… We were very happy about the free filtered water in the lobby!!

Grand Hôtel des Balcons is our home away from home in Paris. On our first trip in 2010, my husband fell and broke his hip the first day. M. and Mme. André treated me “as family”, giving advice and extra services throughout. In return trips in 2013, 2015, and 2018, it was genuinely like coming home to friends. The immaculate housekeeping, attentive staff, and delicious breakfast are excelled only by the excellent management. We cannot wait to return!

Very helpful front desk staff. Good place, good value. Very close to Odeon theater, near major walking streets, I could walk to Louvre from there. Clean, comfortable, but very tiny room and bathroom.

Who writes these descriptions? “Low key rooms.“ Low-key does not mean basic. Or Spartan or small. Nothing wrong with those things at the right price, which is what this hotel is.

This was perfect for my first overnight stay in Paris. It’s a small boutique hotel but everything is well-kept and clean. Location is excellent. Great value.

I have stayed here three times and can absolutely state that this is an excellent hotel. The location is second-to-none, nestled in the heart of Saint-Germain. Staff are friendly. Overall this is an excellent hotel and I look forward to returning!

My sister-in-law, niece and her girlfriend visited Paris in early March of this year. This hotel is fabulous. It was recommended by my former college professor who taught French and Humanities. Six months prior to our trip we started emailing Clementine and Gwendal on the hotel staff with various questions-mostly pertaining to the weekly changes with Covid-19. All of our questions were answered promptly. We began our stay in one large quad (four of us in one room) but quickly realized it would be more comfortable with two adjoining rooms. Clementine graciously changed our accommodations to two adjoining rooms. Our rooms were clean and quiet. There was an option to pay each morning for breakfast but we opted to venture out on our own. I really needed a cup of coffee first thing in the morning and the staff allowed me to wander into the breakfast room for a cup of coffee (a la carte). All of the staff was so friendly and helpful. We enlisted Gwendal a few times to help us navigate to a nearby restaurant. This hotel is in the 6th district and we felt it was centrally located and near many of the sights we wanted to see. We’re recommending this hotel to our family and friends. We plan to return!

I am a regular and always stay here when I am in Paris, it doesn't let me down, quiet location, cheerful and always enjoy the breakfast. I love the decor, its older world charm and ambience. I will go back again on my next trip.

Great location. Near Metro station. Many excellent restaurants nearby. BEST croissants were at Maison Mulot! Has a small elevator which is handy for luggage. Breakfast is excellent.

Lovely hotel...very near the Odeon metro which is great for getting around and i was even able to even walk to the Louvre from the hotel which was nice. The shower was excellent, no noise at night and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend

A lovely boutique hotel in a wonderful location...close to the metro and everything Paris has to offer. The small staff was excellent and very helpful. and the breakfast was very good. We were 3 sisters sharing a room so it was tight...but adequate and we had a wonderful stay.

My room was a little small, but clean and comfortable. Your hotel is very convenient to visit famous sightseeing area with walking or subway. To be honest, I request amenity goods to be better and plenty enough to use. But totally, I feel like to stay at your hotel next time. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay at Grand Hôtel des Balcons, staff were friendly and helpful, room was small, but was clean and quiet. Breakfasts were good. Hotel is within walking distance of most city attractions (important because we were there during the transport strike). It would have been nice to have tea & coffee making facilities. The lift is the smallest I have ever seen!

Excellent option for a true Parisian experience. Extremely convenient location, awesome breakfast (including baguette, crêpes, croissants, many more options). The rooms are neat and comfortable, the balcony is gorgeous (I highly recommend asking for one). The staff is extremely kind and helpful, I’d like to highlight the guy in charge during the day and the guy in charge at night (they were both in reception for reference). My stay couldn’t have been more pleasant and definitely will be going back when in Paris and recommending the hotel to my known ones. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable!
