This was one of the worst experiences of a Marriott hotel. Other than the doormen and the concierge everything else was awful. The rooms are old. The shower did not drain and it is not a good experience showering at a 5 star hotel with dirty water pooling along your feet. They have no training for their F&B staff. Simple order of white wine took twenty minutes and three times before the waiter got it right. Ditto for a Pepsi with ice. We pre-ordered breakfast to make it to our car reservation for a busy day in Paris and it never arrived. We had to ask three times to get fried eggs at the over priced buffet where most of the food was low quality and more reminiscent of a limited service hotel breakfast buffet. While well located it is right on the Champs Elysees given there is a bike lane between the avenue and the sidewalk getting bags out is precarious. The door staff is vigilant and immediately arrives and was the only acceptable part of this so called five star hotel.

I stayed in the hotel in June 2023, one of the worst hotels under Marriott in treating a titanium member. No upgrade as they said because they are fully booked but then they offered me upgrade for money!! The location is perfect Customer service is the worse i have ever seen in Marriott. First time in life to have my luggage delivered to my room 3 hours after check in and the reason was they said they are busy!!!! Definitely won't stay again, stay away

These guys just care for the money they don’t have any feelings for the customer, they refused to refund me my cancelled reservation and deducted one night since I was really worried about the situation of paris while the news was so negative in the city and all i was caring about was the safety of my family. I was really expecting Marriott management to understand my situation but I realized that they only care about the money not about a customer. For that reason I would never choose this hotel specifically any more. Thank you for making my family never choose you again

The furniture is too old, towels are very old, and this is not the level of five stars hotel. I have requested them to change my room mattress but they didn’t accept and offered me to upgrade for different category for free one night and the next five days they will charge me additional 164 euro!

Unfortunately, the hotel was not fully up and running nor were we able to stay in the suite we specifically selected. The business office, fax, phones etc were inoperable. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, Leandre, the concierge, was Phenomenal! Very helpful, very attentive. Saved us time and money. Very pleasant man with every encounter. Whoever hired him deserves kudos. In fact, he should do the hiring of new staff because he knows how it's done. We'll done Marriott, we'll done!!!!

All the employees are doing their job to the next level, I love how they greet the guests every time they see one, they always wear their smile, the initiation to ask the guests if we need more help/assistance from them. Superb, I truly love the service. 5 star is not enough, if 10 is available why not. I marked this hotel as one of my favorite hotels.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Marriott Champs Elysees. The suite was so modern and chic with a picturesque view overlooking Champs Elysees. This was my birthday trip and Bassem and team went above and beyond to make it an incredible experience. There is no M Club or executive lounge here which is disappointing, but don't skip in the breakfast in the restaurant. The food selection is great and there is an omelette station with chef.

6th stay at this hotel and it never fails to blow me away. The rooms are so so comfortable, the toilets are decked out with the amenities you need — my favourite is the warm and fuzzy floor mat — and most importantly, the rooms are bright, cozy and well ventilated. No bed bugs during both of my stays there this autumn - rest assured. You must have this hotel as your go-to in pairs, it’s just too convenient. Simply impeccable. The breakfast can get boring but the spread is absolutely sufficient. The staff there are very helpful and will assist you with your needs.

I shouldn’t really publish this as I would like this to remain a hidden gem but I have to say how great this hotel is. From the entry on the Champs you would not think there is must here but you then enter a rather massive hotel building. The staff is fantastic and the rooms are charming and cozy. We have stayed in the family room for the last two years and it is great for a short 3-4 day stay. The location can’t be beat and it is not going to break the bank. I hope that it stays this way! Enjoy!

Customer service is excellent. The guys at the front desk and doors are very helpful. The room we had was the newly renovated “comfort king”. Room was very modern nice and clean. The location is great if you want to be in the middle of everything. It’s pretty chaotic once you step out of the hotel, but the actual hotel is pretty quiet. We only stayed for one night but had a good experience.

Pleasant staff and great location but everything else is dreadful, the property is in desperate need of serious renovation. It’s appalling they charge what they do…

Impossible to sleep for three nights until 3 am (and later) each night with band playing nearby. Leaving today for a better hotel Wonderful staff and good food, but the room was not five star. We had no heat in the room, no blankets in the room, and the sink did not drain. The room is shabby and uninviting. We were not comfortable.

I'm biased to Paris, but I enjoyed my stay here. Clean rooms and extremely friendly staff. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but perfect for me traveling alone. The bathroom was actually a decent size. I stayed here during the July Independence Day and be aware that the entire Champs Elyseés was closed for the ceremony. Couldn't even cross the street...ended up walking a half mile down to the Arc de Triomphe and then back down to be on time for a reservation that was literally across the street from the hotel. I will definitely stay here again though!

Impressive overall. Excellent location! Hospitality and Room service was on point. Spent 3 nights in one of the older rooms. Only caveat is that the gym was pretty small (as with everything in Paris) so it gets maxed out at 4 occupants.

Weve been to the outdoor restaurant and it was very disappointed. We waited for the drinks for an hour. After waiting for long hour still served us the wrong drinks. We wanted to cancel and asked for bill. While waiting for the bill, suddenly served the correct drinks. Made us need to stay longer. and waited 15 mnts just to give us the bill. What a bad service and bad experience for those tourists who wants to enjoy the beauty of paris. Even the staff also keep ignoring us. We understand that they are all busy, but atleast apologise but just keep ignoring us. Wont recommend this restaurant

September 2021 - Was given a room with dirty, stained carpet. Asked for a clean room and this carpet was dirtier and more stained than the last. Waiting hours for them to find another room and the carpets were also stained but we couldn't wait any longer. They said the hotel was supposed to be remodeled but cancelled this because of Covid. This is an owner/management decision to steam clean the carpets. The carpets were dirtier than a motel 6 or a 1 star hotel. Shameful.

A health hazard…stained carpets, broken furniture, horrible smell in the bathroom, I was literally afraid to sit on the toilet because it smelled and had yellowish color from probably the tens of years since the last renovation. Asked for another room and they just said no. (I am a Titanium Elite member) Service also terrible…came in early to check in and the room was not ready. They told me that they will call me when it’s ready but they never did. In the end I just went again myself. For me, last time I stay here. Too many other better options at this price point.

We arrived home on Thu-2/15/24 from a 5 night stay at this hotel - we checked in on Feb. 10, 2024 and checked out on Feb. 15, 2024 - and stayed in room 217. Simply put, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Every staff member we encountered was professional, friendly and willing to assist with our needs. Here are some specifics - *Housekeeping/Room attendants - our daily and nightly turndown service was complete and delivered with great care. When asked, staff provided us with additional service and amenities gladly and quickly. *Hotel room - we enjoyed comfortable bed linen and bed, the furniture was very appropriately sized and the bathroom was well outfitted. Everything in the room - all light switches, lamps, etc. - worked as it should as well. *Sunday Brunch - the servers were excellent and the food/beverage was prepared with great care and displayed beautifully. Most importantly, the food was delicious and the chef provided a great variety of options. *Atrium/Lobby Bar - this was a highlight for us as we spent a great deal of time enjoying coffee, light food and wine in this area. The staff here was especially service oriented and responsive. The food options were perfect and it was a nice way to spend time during our stay. *Front Desk/Check-in/Check-out - another great team of staff is working this important function. They were knowledgeable, professional, very service oriented and, happily, got us into our room earlier than anticipated given our early morning arrival from the United States. *Security - EXCELLENT - we very much appreciated the 24/7 monitoring of the main entry. *Bellstaff - OUTSTANDING - professional, prompt and very, very courteous. Here's the bottom line - we've stayed at this hotel a total of 3 times since 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel each and every time. It's worth mentioning that we consider this hotel a go-to property when we're in Paris and will definitely be staying there within the next 12 months again.

Room has a stairs up for a couch and a working desk, which I did not use at all, if it's on the same ground, I would. It's a stairs down for toilet, vanity kit was never replenished, the shower gel was out for days, saw the cleaning lady and told her, only to have her replaced the shampoo instead. We got the room with the shopping street view with an upgrade, usually cost more, only to arrived to have it not ready and was proposed with another room, we decided not to take it up, so was given 2 drinks while we wait for an hour, there was CNY lion dance going on, so everyone was crowding around, including staff behind concierge counter filming it, we had to wait for everyone to clear before going over to check if room is ready, instead of being informed. Staff did propose that we can utilize one of the room to freshen up in the mean time, but we really just want to unpack and not have to switch room. When we got into the room, there was literally 4 separate visits by the staff, last one was a mistake, as the staff asked if we requested a luggage stand, I said we didn't, but I would like to have one and he said he will be back for it, but never did. Pretty much a good 2hrs, over 1 hour to wait for room, and constant visits when we got into the room, this is my first visit to Paris and it’s spent waiting at hotel lobby and having four visits in an hour instead of combining them.

Excellent service. While not inexpensive, room facing the lobby was quiet and when we could hear music later in to the night and I called them, they shut it off. Room was always clear and bellhops were helpful and kept hotel clear of non-guests. Would happily stay here again.

I would like to thank Mr Ali the doorman .my check out was on Sunday, and there was a marathon going on and no cars were allowed yet he carried my bags ( 6 in total) and took me to find a taxi 6 blocks away! I didn’t ask him to help and tried to solve the problem myself ,but he insisted. I think our world needs more Ali . he is a wonderful gentleman. Once again, thank you very much, and best wishes to you.

This hotel was hands down our worst experience in Paris. The room was stinky, carpet was filthy, bathroom door was busted. Very loud and there was confusion everyday on when our room would be cleaned. I should’ve realized there would be issues when the only items featured on the hotels Instagram account are the lobby and the brunch. Sunday brunch was phenomenal but definitely the only highlight of the stay. Staff was curt and didn’t go out of their way to assist with anything. Will not stay here again. Definitely off brand for a Marriott.

My wife and I spent 5 days at the Champs Elysée Marriott in Paris last week and we had an awesome time. You simply can't beat the location—right on the Champs-Elysées, smack dab in the middle of all the action. We could easily walk to major attractions like the Arc de Triomphe (5 mins away) and the Eiffel Tower (a 20-min stroll). Even the Louvre was just a 35-minute walk. Perfect for taking in the sights! The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, from the door men/women to the folks at the front desk to the concierge. Major shoutout to the lobby bar and restaurant crews who took awesome care of us late into the night—we definitely shut that place down a few times satisfying our post-adventure appetites! The room was amply spacious. We appreciated the balcony windows that were well insulated against the weather and the loud Paris nightlife at 2am. The only shortcomings we observed: -The gym is small, inconveniently located, not well organized and missing key equipment (mats, bench). -Many guests seem to have problems with the elevator keys which often lost their programming. Also, it is annoying juggling separate keys for the elevator and the room…and yet a third to get to the gym. -Housekeeping could have refilled the ice in the wine bucket and replaced one robe after the first day. -The TV guide is incomplete and several of the channels do not really work. A bit of configuration could clean this up. Even with these small issues, I would return here in a heartbeat. An amazing Paris home base!

I stay in over 50 hotels per year, some two star some 5+. Of these hotels, the Marriott Champs Élysées Hotel is by far the worst. The rooms have not been upgraded in what seems like 20 years, we had three separate rooms, one smelled so bad we couldn’t stay in it, the second had a toilet that wouldn’t work! The third was very small, and one of the beds was broken and almost touching the floor. I would never stay here again, it is a blemish on the Marriott brand.

I ate at the restaurant here, and it was a massive disappointment. The staff member who greeted me was very friendly (the other waitstaff were very friendly as well... I was served by no less than 4 different ones!), the doorman at the hotel was incredibly unfriendly and dismissive when I asked where the washroom was. And that's just where the disaster of this lunch started. The food is below par and was served cold a full hour and 15 minutes after the order was placed. I don't know what is going on in the kitchen, but tables around me (who came and ordered after me) were served before me and at some point I saw my exact order wheeled out and then wheeled back in only to be served about 30 mins after that. No explanation was offered. This Mariott is an embarrassment to the service industry. Having polite waitstaff does not compensate for this mess, but it is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 (0, unfortunately, is not an option). **AVOID AT ALL COSTS!** (Based on the reviews of the rest of the hotel, there's nothing worth coming here for... there are way better 5 star hotels in Paris.)

  • 4/5 Brian H. 1 year ago on Google
The service and ambience are worthy of 5 stars. The location is perfect for tourists. One potential issue is one side of the hotel is next to an outside bar, which can get rather noisy very late in the night (or early morning) for the rooms on that side.

  • 1/5 Olivier P. 1 year ago on Google
Horrible experience at this place, which is supposed to be a 5star hotel… Everything starts after check-in. We enter our room and realize the room is already occupied. We go back to the reception but the guy tells us there is no mistake and the people in the room (whom we didn’t know) were with us because they showed us the same ID. Which is very unlikely. We try to explain it is not possible but too stubborn to understand, and the manager comes. The same discourse goes on and at some point they even threatened us to cancel the reservation. After a while they go double check the ID of the people in our room and they realize they mistook the names… But their attitude doesn’t change and they just ask for our credit card like nothing happened… We had to ask for explanation for the manager to come back and explain to us the situation. But still no apologies no compensation no nothing although they made us wait for more than 30min for a simple check-in. Very unprofessional and we expected a little more when we pay about 1000€ per night. Even in a ibis the service is better. What a shame…

Why I love the Marriott? First and foremost: The staff is truly exceptional and I mean it. I was a regular guest at the hotel, returned after more than 2 years for the first time, and I got welcomed with an honest smile and my name. I am traveling a lot, visiting many hotels - for a hotel of this size, it is truly remarkable. Second: the decoration during Christmas time just puts me in Christmas mood (see pictures). Last but not least, the location just at Champs-Élysée is of course amazing for tourists. Only drawback: the rooms are dated, but I heard refurbishment is about to start. But I am happy to accept that given the professionalism of the staff!

Hotel is gorgeous. We stayed in a Jr suite with balcony and it was lovely. The reason for only 3 stars is due to no service. Nothing is written in room. For 600 euros, I expect clean towels at the very least. Finally at 6pm , after several requests, we got service. Not what I expect from a high end Marriott.

  • 3/5 Laura E. 2 years ago on Google
First off all, I want to mention that I am an employee at Marriott myself. The stay itself was great. The room was pretty clean and the staff was overall really nice even though the Check-In was unnecessary long and unprepared. They even prepared a little treatment for me and my newly engaged fiancée. There was just the issue that we booked a room with a jaccuzi which was supposed to be in the room. There was non. When we went down to reception to ask about it, they offered us another room ("free upgrade to a family room"). The room they showed us was maybe a tiny bit bigger than the first one, but with two beds which made it appear much smaller and again no jaccuzi. We stayed in the first room to no cause any more trouble and to just enjoy our one night in Paris apart from that. There was no offer for anything complementary or change of rates. In my opinion the whole thing could have been handled better.

Gorgeous hotel, rooms are quite and clean. Awesome location on the Champs-Élysées. Staff was friendly and efficient. Lots of restaurants and bars around as well as shopping. But the hotels bar and restaurant is wonderful too.

Although only my second stay I can honestly say this hotel is a gem. The staff is wonderful headlined by a wonderful gentleman named Adam. The location is second to none and the restaurant and bar staff are eager to engage and provide exceptional service. Already eagerly anticipating my next visit.

Best place to stay when in Paris. Beautiful view of the entire Champs-Élysées from the Louvre to the Arc De Triomphe. Start your day by grabbing a coffee and a pastry from the Paul bakery nearby and its off to a day of sightseeing. Great service by an incredibly attentive staff.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights in October and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is in the heart of the Champs-Elysees and is a quick commute to all the major attractions. Plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance. The hotel staff was very attentive and the property was quite nice. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet. My only complaint would be that the room seemed slightly dated, but definitely not a dealbreaker. Would absolutely stay there again.

  • 1/5 Anthony R. 1 year ago on Google
What a deception! A general feel of “we don’t care” follows you around the hotel. Staff is overwhelmed in this touristic hotel that doesn’t offer the attention to details a Marriott should have. We have been given a room with no outside windows, it’s claustrophobic and we were not even informed. Breakfast: a disaster! Untrained staff, strong eggs smell in the room, heavy attitude. I ordered eggs and what you receive is not acceptable: heated Benedict prepared in advance, staff speaking loudly, no welcoming, lack of attention, no service… 5$ for room service cover charge? Is this a joke? For a 650€ per night hotel, it felt like an overpriced three-stars not worth trying.

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your place. This site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I'm sure! Really friendly and accommodating staff! Still remodeling but the hotel and the rooms were beautiful! Perfect location with a few tourist sites and activities within walking distance.

Amazing customer service from booking and pre-arrival communication through the entire stay. Cristina from Guest Relations made our stay extra special with her personalised touches. The rooms are beautiful and every detail is a testament of quality and luxury. A prime location that makes many sights easily accessible. Classic elegance and luxury in the heart of Paris. If you can afford it don't look elsewhere.

Under construction. Room was not ready when we got there at 4pm (despite Ambassador status). Room was nice - black out curtains, solid shower, and great service. They gave us wine and macarons as a welcome gift which was nice. They also charged us for parking (which took us one month to get removed) despite us never having a car - so watch out for charges like these.

In summary (details are below 👇🏻) - The rooms don’t have a great view check with the receptionist before hand for the street view. - friendly staff, great location, spacious rooms. 1. Location The hotel is at the greatest location in Paris, almost all the touristic places are close by 2. Services The concierge was helpful with booking museum tickets and finding us restaurants. However, my issue was with the room service they had limited food options. I have a special needs child and he is only allowed to eat soft foods and unfortunately the hotel couldn’t even provide us with mashed potato which is the easiest and fastest dish you could make. So I struggled in that area specifically. 3. Rooms We stayed at 209, the view wasn’t that great since our view was the lobby. In my opinion that is kind of weird, it’s my first time seeing rooms that look at the lobby. I felt I had no privacy I was always anxious that my curtains were open even when I needed some sunlight I couldn’t open my curtains fully. Which takes me to my last point, I suggest the hotel to add more lights to the room they are more on the dark side. As for the bathrooms they were great and spacious. The housekeeping did a great job with keeping our rooms clean.

I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member. This hotel is not worth your money. It’s a great location and it’s very nice but, management is awful. They overcharge for the bait and switch room with a view and take no accountability for this. I explained to management the photos show a view to the Eiffel Tower. I was put on the first floor and manager on refused to give me a discount. In addition the potato’s were raw when I got room service. I called for a new potato and no one showed up. Save your money and go to a more affordable hotel. They will steal your money here. Foreign Marriott’s I have visited have a history of bad behavior in my experience.
