The
Blue
Mosque
also
known
as
Sultan
Ahmet
Mosque
is
very
famous
in
Turkey.
Actually
the
Turks
people
never
call
this
mosque
as
Blue
Mosque.
This
name
called
as
Blue
Mosque
because
Western
visitor
that
seen
the
colour
of
mosque
are
mostly
in
blue
tiles
from
Iznik
(Nicaea)
covering
the
mosque.
Eventhough
the
colour
of
the
mosque
not
only
blue,
but
also
green,
white
and
other,
but
the
mosque
now
famous
with
the
name
of
Blue
Mosque,
than
Sultan
Ahmet
Mosque.
This
mosque
was
built
in
1609-1617
and
through
a
lot
reconstructions
until
now.
The
decorations
and
the
interior
of
this
mosque
are
very
unique.
When
you
step
inside
the
mosque,
you
will
find
a
large
carpet
covering
the
floor.
There
are
also
a
lot
of
Arabic
Caligraphic
on
the
wall
and
taken
from
Quran
verses.
You
will
also
see
the
floral
pattern
that
said
it's
represented
earth.
When
you
inside
the
mosque,
you
will
feel
calm
and
relax,
not
because
this
is
the
mosque,
but
because
the
interiors,
decorations
and
the
colours
make
the
athmosphere
of
the
mosque
make
you
comfortable.
There
are
a
lot
of
stuff
land
space
like
mihrab
(Niche)
for
the
space
of
Imam
or
pray
leader.
Also
minber
(pulpit)
it's
for
deliver
the
sermon
when
pray
Jumah
every
friday,
also
when
pray
in
the
Feast
of
Ramadhan,
and
Feast
of
Sacrifice.
Also
there
is
space
for
muadzin,
the
man
to
do
ritual
prayer
or
called
Adzan.
Also
there
are
a
lot
of
other
stuff.
When
you
see
the
exterior
of
this
mosque
from
outside,
you
will
be
fascinating
because
very
pretty
and
unique.
This
Blue
Mosque
located
in
Sultan
Ahmet
area,
near
to
Fatih.
You
can
take
tramway
because
that's
the
most
near
to
this
location.
When
you
take
tramway,
just
need
to
stop
at
Sultan
Ahmet
station.
Around
this
mosque
also
there
are
a
lot
of
food
street
you
can
came
or
drop
by
only
for
eat
if
you
also
want
to
take
a
rest
for
a
while.
This
place
very
recommanded
for
you
if
you
visit
Istanbul
