We were initially attracted to the medieval garden which is peaceful and relaxing and as close to time travel as you can get. The church is adorned in frescos and huge paintings which are starting to be cleaned. There are several and they are almost too dark to see. But as the process proceeds the interior can only become more beautiful. Small entrance fee and a very enthusiastic staff.

The Abbey of St Peter is the most richly decorated church in Perugia, even exceeding the cathedral. It was completed in the 17th century in Renaissance style.

Nice place to visit if you want to see nice renaissance drawings. The personal is very kind even if the communication was harder, taking into account that the personal don't know English very well.

Outstanding complex and the basilica contains a large array of impressive artworks. Perhaps the most impressive church in Perugia.

Beautiful basilica in a calm environment. The frescoes are really something else! Worth the trip from the city centre to me. Once you're there, I recommend visiting the gardens and its view at the other end of the closter.

What an amazing church. Went for my hosts choir at night (hench the blury photos), and the inside took my breath away. Waited a while before being allowed in. All the details and colors must have taken AGES to paint. The feeling of being inside was unreal. The organ was gourgous as well.
