BEST RESTAURANT IN ITALY!!! Traveling throughout Italy the last 6 weeks has been amazing. But, nothing compares with this. Michelin got it right this time in selecting this well rounded experience to represent it’s reputation. Quintessenza is beautiful, unassuming, inviting, and best of all, serves unbelievably amazing food. Our food selection was their Classici 2011-2021 menu, which takes you through their evolution from the opening of their restaurant until now, as well as the wine paring. Each dish and wine, pared with the explanation as to the inspiration, it’s background, ingredients and knowledgeable, courteous staff, exceeded expectation. From the beautiful presentation to the juggling of taste and textures, each dish contributed to an unimaginable experience. This restaurant is Paradise for foodies and lovers of amazing people who love what they do and the people they host.

Visited last week. We were a party of six and went for the set menu without wine pairings. It was delicious. Two of us had food intolerances and the chef went out of his way to accommodate us and provide a consistent experience for everyone. The price was more than reasonable for a menu of that kind.

If I am in Trani, I have to dining in at this restaurant. Is a must go for me. Only one word… “Superb” ! Thanks to keep pushing to make your restaurant always “the best”. Four brothers with an unique view of life. Fantastic atmosphere. I suggest anyone is visit Trani to eat at this restaurant. You won’t regret. Atmosphere: Absolutely pleasant! The place is built with the traditional sand stones, like many old buildings in Puglia, it is spacious, luminous and elegantly decorated. The wine cellar is a must view, absolutely beautiful (and you can also ask to dine there, there is a round table!) Service: A beautiful balance between courtesy and warmth. Everyone was knowledgeable, kind and somehow "familiar" and close. Food: We did the "Quintessenziale" tasting, which is the seasonal one. All the dishes were delicate, nicely excecuted and flavorful. My absolute favorite was the "cicala". The olive oil produced by the chef's dad was a total gem - that distinctive bitterness of high quality Puglia oil. Eight of us visited this remarkable restaurant for a Sunday lunch. Location of strong value. An historical building that used to be directly connected to the nearby castle respectfully revamped with modern internal architecture. An important project, not only for the young talented DiGennaro brothers but for their hometown too. The seven course menu "quintessential" has been sapiently paired with a vegan menu for myself. Worth a mention my potatoes and truffle dish, extremely delicate although with strong, elegant contrasts. Unfortunately we initially picked bottles of our liking without really "reading" the interaction with our dishes as we did not see a wine pairing solution suggested on their menu. Saverio, the sommelier brother guided us with the last two bottles. For the next time, I would welcome a more structured wine pairing solution. Elegant yet informal service. We strongly appreciated the friendly and welcoming approach. I'll be back!

The restaurant looks very nice and comfortable. Nothing too fancy. The food is delicious. The staff was very friendly and explained a lot about the dishes and wines that we tried. We met the owner at the end and he took us to the rooftop and talked about his future plans. Highly recommended

Fabulous Michelin starred restaurant. Run by 4 brothers. We were treated to an amazing meal and even a tour of the property. Our table faced the floodlit castle. Slightly off the beaten track but well worth the 15 minute stroll from the centre. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food, with local ingredients and reinterpreted traditional recipes. Both degustation menus are a hit, but if you like fish and seafood go for the Quintessenza. Each dish bursts with flavor and some combinations really surprise the palate. Prices are very reasonable too and the staff is attentive and helpful

I've been to at least two dozen Michelin-Star Restaurants all over the world, mostly in Europe and tonight we had probably had the best service ever. The waiter had such a friendly attitude, he told us a interesting back story to the recommended wine, gave us tips what to visit in Puglia, and did overall an outstanding job. But not only him, but the whole service team was super friendly always there when you needed them, but not brash at all. Of course the service in a good restaurant is important, but the food plays the main role - and it did, in a spectacular fashion. All dishes have been on point and matched greatly into each other. We choose the surprise menue and all dishes have been fantastic - with a few extra surprises. Afterwards we had the chance to have quick chat with the cook Stefano himself, a humble man with outstanding skills. We had an absolutely wonderful evening and the bill was very moderate compared to similar restaurants in other countries. In Germany you would had to pay twice the price - easily. So what's left to say? Visit the Quintessenza Restaurant if you're even remotely close to Trani.

One of the best dining experiences we have ever had! This beautiful venue is host to a team of amazing staff who are truly passionate about what they do. The food was delicious! We had the tasting menu and went for wine pairing too, every dish was full of flavour and the simple use of fantastic ingredients along with perfect seasoning and finesse in the delivery of each plate of food made for an overall five star meal. The wines were both unusual and tasty and each wine went well with the dish it was presented with. We started with a fantastic local sparkling wine as well which blew us away! The staff were so attentive, friendly and smiling and taking care of our every need and question. We would highly recommend this as a must visit restaurant if you have the budget and are visiting Trani!

outstanding service, outstanding location and of course outstanding food. know these restaurant since 2017 and it's getting better an better! high class but not sophisticated.

Wonderful location just beside the Castle. The staff is polite and caring but also friendly and easygoing. The food was a beautiful experience, I personally loved all the fish courses and the appetizers. Worth the visit (and the price).

What an amazing experience this evening! The chef Stefano and his crew(everyone.. from Saveiocto Edoardo and all of you!) give us an unforgettable experience! Guys but when the second star?!?!?! Every dish was an culinary adventure and travel… the service was sublime! Ones again.. THANKS SO MUCH GUYS!

7 course menu is made with care and skill. Flavors are tasty and delicate, and the courses are perfectly balanced . A wonderful winelist (also non-italian wines/sparkling wines!) and great interoir and ambience. Many thanks to all the staff! I would definitely recommend a visit if in Trani or the surrounding area.
