The Duomo di San Giorgio is a gem . Its existence is difficult to understand. What is such a pearl doing here? Close to the city of Ragusa , San Giorgio is a magnificent place, especially late in the evening when it is quiet and the tourists have disappeared. The church itself is not more beautiful than others inside but worth a visot

Majestic Duomo sitting high above the square with a massive iron fence and gate. Impressive. As we passed through the square today, we noticed a wedding had just taken place, and the doors were open, and we ventured in. Breathtaking structure with a main altar surrounded by red velvet curtain. The side chapels are impressive by themselves with marble altars and huge paintings. The details inside the Duomo are worth the visit if you travel to Ragusa.

Truly beautiful church. Took this picture which is my all time favourite picture I’ve ever taken, the light, peacefulness and the church beauty. Instagram: @klaudiamochi

Sadly, like many Italian cathedrals and churches, it was closed in the afternoon, so a visit was not possible.

A "very nice feeling" place in an extraordinary hill separated from Ragusa. The church is impressive due to its size and architecture. The narrow and long square in the feet of the church offers many places to sit and enjoy. Sicilians are proud of this jewel. Its nice to approach the Ibla region on foot, using the "secret" paths with stairways. A more difficult way but you are benefitted with a great view of the hole hill that you cannot see if you go by bus/car.

Great monument in the heart of Catania. Great place to have it as a meeting point. A lot performances in front.

A beautiful backdrop to the old town and lovely inside as well, there is a museum, which the lovely guide was very keen for us to see, but I would moderate your expectations!

Duomo di San Giorgio in Ragusa Ibla is a stunning architectural gem. The intricate details of the façade and the breathtaking interior make it a must-visit for anyone in Sicily. The blend of Baroque and Renaissance styles creates a unique atmosphere that transports you to another era. A true masterpiece!

Unique church on the hill in Ragusa. It was rebuilt totally after the earthquake in 1793. The church is very bright with lot of light due to unique dome over some which allows light coming through. The organ plays good music.
