I have not stayed here, but have visited this place regularly for dinner. Just in front of the Adriatic Sea. There is a full conference venue here, with lecture rooms, sitting place, poster session etc. The sea view rooms are great, since one of my friends were staying there. The rooms have modern amenities and is a nice place to live for a couple of weeks.

Great view, but no air conditioning. Rooms on the first floor have an obscured view at the sea and their balcony is unavailable. During the night the terrace is very noisy and you may not be able to sleep. Meals are priced reasonably. There's a hot water dispenser if you want to make yourself a tea or a coffee for free. There's also a laundry room, reasonably priced as well.

Best place to stay while at ICTP. Get a sea view room - worth it even if you've to pay a bit more. Enjoy the sunlight evenings sitting in the balcony, sipping some cold beer. The rooms are old but the guesthouse service is good. The cafeteria and the terrace are great for discussions over coffee and food. Though the food options available these days are bare minimum and basic. Get some snacks from the city centre just in case! The lecture rooms and facilities are perfect. When you're free, go for a swim in the Adriatic or walk up to the castle, it's refreshing!

It is good place to learn science with a nice environment

An excellent facility in a beautiful location just beside the Adriatic seat. Very close to Miramare castle.

Is a good place for scientific conferences. In front of the sea. There are not distractions close so is a quiet place.

The beautiful scenery of the mountains and the sea compliments the great learning experience

This the sea facing guesthouse managed by ictp. It can be availed by all guests of ictp and also by others who do not have any connection with ictp. The regular charges of this guesthouse is high. Nearly 50-70 euros per night. Students and scholarship holders are given these rooms at a subsidised rate, which is why it is beneficial for them. But at a cost of 70 euros, the rooms are very expensive. Food is available at the cafeteria and bar on the ground floor. The regular rates are again expensive. This guesthouse is perfect for people visiting ictp for the first time because of its proximity to ictp. The way to ictp from Adriatico might seem a bit complicated for first timers. But here’s a simple description of it. When you come out of Adriatico, you can either go to your left. You follow the winding path and reach the main road. From there you keep walking for about 5 mins. You’ll find a two tunnels one after the other. At the end of the second tunnel you’ll find ictp on your left. There’s another way to reach ictp. If you take the right on your way out of ictp, you’ll find hotel mignon. Just beside this hotel, you’ll find a flight of stairs. Go right up the stairs and after the stair ends continue going straight up. Where the stairs end, you’ll find a passage written via Carlos junker on your right. Don’t go there. Continue straight up along the steep slope. After a while you’ll find the main road. Cross the main road through the zebra crossing. On your right you’ll find the first tunnel and then the second tunnel. Then finally at the end of the second tunnel you’ll find ictp. The seas facing view from the Adriatico is beautiful but if you get a room with the park facing view that’s not much. Also, try to avoid the first floor. The view is obstructed from the balcony.

The rooms are good, place are amazing, however services need improvements.
