Spectacular river and surrounding nature. We parked in the city of Colle Val d'Elsa and started the walk by the old bridge "Ponte di Spugna". The walk ended by the waterfall "Cascata del Diborrato". It was 2,5 km. from start to end, so 5 km forth and back. The temperature was pleasant, because of the shadow from the trees and a coolness coming from the river. Parts of the trail is a bit uneven and you have to cross the river several times on big rocks. There are robes you can hold on to. I would recommend good footwear and moscito spray. Remember your swimwear and arrive as early as possible, then you will avoid a lot of people. There a multiple places by the river where you can go swimming. Definitely the most traffic by the waterfall. Overall a very nice experience. Beautiful nature, fresh, cold and clean river and the trail was very easy to follow.

As some reviews said we parked near the Church of Saint Martial and ponte di san Marziale and thought that these parking places are for free. There are lot of empty places so it offers you to park there. But we received fine, because it is only for residents. We also met other tourists from diffenrent countries who wanted to park there but we warned them in advance.

Amazing hike trails with ups and downs(stairs) stone ways lots of local and tourist on the place for swimming and jumping in the waterfall. We enter the hike at the bridge 0f marziale bridge (recommended entrance)there is a free parking Just in front of football field few meters away from the bridge. Is about 4 km to complete the hike.

Beautiful piece of nature in the middle of a town. Suitable especially in the summer. Comfortable walking trail. Very recommended.

I went there in June. Donโ€™t recommend weekend since there were throngs of people. Some places picturesque but without any wow effect. People bathe in the river. I wore Crocs but I guess sneakers would make more sense. The water isnโ€™t turquoise.

What an awesome walk! Be sure to pack for a swim, as there are a number of excellent swim spots in the beautiful waters.

Very beautiful place for a walk along the river and a peaceful swim. Water quality is not guaranteed, but the colors are magnificent! Start the walk on the south side of the route, the north part isn't really worth it!

A hidden aqua gem to help you stay cool on hot summer days. Not suitable for folks with restricted mobility however due to many steps and uneven terrain

Nice place to hide from the heat. The river creates here a few small cascades, where you can not only watch but also bath in them. A bit crowded on hot days, especially on weekends.

To do, try to go in the morning. It is less crowded then.

Beautiful place, the water is of a really pretty sky color, the park is really big, so you can walk a lot. There are various parking lots, but I suggest coming here early in the morning, it gets busy later on
