I love caves and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. Stalactites, stalagmites, columns, calcite and arganite “flowers”, a little lake with transparent and blind crustaceans, bear bones and human / bear prints. The guided tour takes around an hour and you have to climb some steps, so not suitable for those with reduced mobility. Inside it’s just cool, rather than cold, so no need for thick jumpers. But you have to wear “proper” shoes; flip flops are not allowed. You can take photos without flash. You need to book your tickets in advance, either personally or by phone. You pay when you collect them - we paid 80 euro for 4 adults and 3 children. The entrance to the cave is 300m up so arrive 10 min early to collect your tickets and go up. There is sufficient, free parking on site and a little gift shop. There is also a café, which was unfortunately closed. At the time of writing this (Aug 2021), Green Passes for adults and masks inside the cave were required.

Amazing cave, really interesting guided tour with a very informed guide. The cave has some spaces with unique styles. We enjoyed the 1 hour tour which gives enough time to stop and admire the super cool salactites and stalagmites

Fantastic attraction, enjoyed by both adults and kids. Must visit if you're in the area. The fact that you need to book tickets in advance by phone really annoys but the visit itself is totally worth it

Beautiful and write large cave system with extraordinary stalagtites! The tour took more than dan hour and every corner was surprising and breathtaking! Please make sure you call in advance to make a reservation. It's well worth of driving more than an hour to get here and see these ancient sculptures!

It was a very unique cave with cool rockformations, footprints and bones. My only complaint is that it's not very tall person friendly in terms of the path and railing.

Have visited three times. First was fine. However, on the 2nd visit most of the cave was inaccessible and they conveniently forgot to tell us until after we had paid. On the 3rd visit, we (and a number of other foreign tourists) were put with a guide who spoke only Italian. The cave itself is nice but, unfortunately and like many other things in Italy, the experience is made disappointing by underhandedness and mismanagement

Nice place to visit especially when it is hot outside in the cave the temperature of air is around 15. Interesting to learn how stalactites, stalagmites and columns are created. It 7s interesting for kids as well.

Partially closed (I would have rated 5 stars otherwise) The guide was lovely and very funny. The cave feels alive thanks to the bear bones and human footprints

Nice guided tour that takes about 40 min. You can get English tour guide but not always, but still worth going. Easy access by car from town ( takes less then 15 min). Some walking trails around so nice spot for half a day excursion. If you're going with kids make sure that are able to walk by themselves ( we were ther with 3 year old with no hassle but keep in mind underground track is about 1.3 km long )

A wonderful cave with great formations. Energetic knowledgeable guide presents information in Italian and English. Very safe installations with guard rails in all the right places. Museum about archeological findings attached. Nice restaurant and souvenir shop. Great experience. Guided tour lasts about an hour.

I randomly find this Toirano cava for the travelling. Th trip takes a little bit less than one hour and there is a tour guide leading for that, one group of people. For adult will be 13 euros each and children for 7 euros. Some part of the place are very beautiful, even transparent throughout the light. The temperature is around 15 degrees therefore one jacket inside is much better.

Large and long and very beautiful cave. Tour takes approx. 60 minutes. No English available. Do not forget to visit the chapel of Saint Lucy nearby the exit of the cave.

Amazing cave with a very friendly guide. The guide is open to questions and answers everything you ask. Many jokes during the explanations. The cave is beautiful inside. The gift shop also has many different products with descent prices.

Amazing cave system with so many different types of formations. Very knowledgeable guides who understand several languages if you ask questions. The walk up to the caves is very steep and tiring on a hot day, but the caves stay nice and cool. The cafe was not open the day we went which was disappointing. Plenty of free parking.

Impressive. Although you don't understand a word of the Italian guide, I can advise you to make this one hour trip. Use good shoes and mind your head.

What best way to spend one rainy day in ponente riviera? Underground unveiled, with very competent guide showing every detail, and explaining the matter behind chemical- physical phenomena creating the caves. Toirano historical centre deserves some time as well, just to discover beautiful, untouched corners.
