The shop is quite small and a bit touristy but it is interesting to explore their range of products. I think my favorite product was the pistachio cannolo. I think was probably one of the best I had during the entire Sicily trip. While their chocolate is not my favorite due to its sandy texture. That is something I cannot live with no matter how good the cacao mass is.

Ask for an "assaggio" to sample the various chocolates. Wonderful service. I'm not sure who was more excited about us sampling the chocolates, us or our host. She was very passionate about her products. Do not leave the Southeast of Sicily without stopping here. Worth the drive (as long as you like dark or semi-dark chocolate). And the cannoli were great too!

Totally wonderful. Friendly, considerate staff and a great selection of interesting and beautifully wrapped chocolates. Tremendous value for money too. Note that the chocolate from Modica is quite different to the normal stuff, it’s not been heated so has sugar crystals within it giving a grainy texture. Tours of the chocolate making area are possible but really need to be booked the day before.

Stopped here on a long drive from Trapani to Siracusa. Cute location in an alley, we arrived at 15.00 on a Wednesday, and there were two small lines of maybe 10 people total. Found the QR code to scan the menu while we waited in line so we knew what we wanted to order by the time we got to the counter. Not sure why people are saying it's so expensive? Most of their chocolate bars are between €2,50-€3. The shop across the street was €2 (least expensive we found) and others down the street were €4, so can't say I agree that it's expensive. The chocolate cannoli was delicious, as was the cold chocolate drink! Pastries and cookies looked amazing, and many people were ordering deconstructed cannolis?! Shells and filling were packaged separately to make at home! So cool. We didn't have enough time to purchase the tour, wish we could've! I do think reservation in advance is preferred.

A truly unique place and a must visit for any foodie. Everything is well organized and the staff is both friendly and helpful. I loved the experience and the chocolate, of course! Good place to get some tasty souvenirs from Sicily

I did not have a good experience at antica dolceria bonajuto. It was a busy day there but nonetheless, Miriam, the person who help me was in a mood that prevented her from providing any information on the products to assist with my purchase. That is unfortunate. Thankfully her colleague was speaking loud enough while providing explanation to others that I could hear bits and pieces and it helped me make my selection. Also I tried the Canolo and I have to say this was at the bottom of the pile of the ones I tried. 90+ euros later, I do hope these chocolate are tasty given that my experience purchasing them was not and the cannolo was not a good preview.

After visiting a few chocolate shops in Modica, this felt like the most authentic. The staff is very friendly and patient, letting us try a wide variety of chocolates and other sweets. The chocolate had a very unique flavor and texture (sugary crunchy). Absolutely worth the wait. We also had the liquid chocolate drink, which was good but a bit too much cacao after all the tastings.

Fabulous little shop! The staff there are super friendly and speak English! There are some free samples that you can try if you spend a couple minutes, or you can do a tour which is about 40 minutes but make sure you book at least 24 hours in advance. We didn’t so we weren’t able to do the tour. They make a really unique hot chocolate that’s pretty nice and the chocolate they sell is all super cool flavours and really nice!

The Chocolate Museum was closed for us this day, however we went to the chocolate laboratory and got introduced to the oldest chocolate in the world! The host was very knowledgable with telling us the rich history on these tasty chocolate. I would absolutely recommend coming here if you're coming to Sicily and you must meet the wonderful team. You can also setup a reservation to see what they do as well. Modica is a beautiful city.

It’s a very nice store with very friendly staff, but the chocolate is just horrible. If you are used to swiss or german chocolate, Bonajuto tastes like dark chocolate with a huge amount of sugar crystals in it. Whenever you bite on it, you taste the sugar crunch. And the flavors all taste only very very slightly after what they suppose to have in them. Cannot recommend. Sorry.
