Great experience walking through the cold water in the gorge, made of octagonal shapes of solid magma. I recommend taking only the basic with the lower trail, nothing too special to see in the upper one.

Really idyllic place. You can park for free and walk up the street to get tickets for 1.50€ to take the stairs down to the river. You can also take an elevator next to the parking lot for 6€. To enter the trail above the river you've got to pay extra which we didn't do. The river is beautiful and there are some deeper spots for swimming if you walk down a bit and climb over the rocks.

Wish we could spend here more time. The transport is rare. Plan the journey in advance! Direct buses are available from Taormina.

It kost 1,50 euro to enter. It is a super nice place in nature. Really very special to see. it's nice to bring a beach towel with you to sit and relax. Water shoes are also recommended, because it is nice to walk in the water. with bare feet, the stones hurt a bit. It is a busy place.

Absolutely worth a visit. We took the steps down, fine for anyone with average level of fitness. Make sure you bring water-shoes / sandals to be able to comfertably walk on the rocky riverbed. Or even a wetsuit if you want to go in further where it gets deeper. The water was cold when we were there late September, and I believe it's like that all year round.

Incredibility beautiful. Don't be fooled! Just buy the general admission ticket and don't fall for anything else! With the basic ticket you can walk anywhere you want to and spend as much time as you want to inside of the gorge and along the river.

Some info around the fees to get in, correct June 2022. The 6 euro ticket gets you access to the lift which takes you straight down to the canyon. There you can walk up the river or explore the riverbanks a little. The lift saves quite a lot of steps and I recommend it if it's hot or you have older people, young kids or lots of stuff. The 10 euro ticket gets you the lift plus a short walk around the top of the canyon. It's not really worth it, the walk is very exposed, you do get a view of the canyon from the top though. Other more expensive tickets are available with various activities that don't seem worth it. If you want to save some money you can park opposite the main car park, buy a municipal ticket just up the road for around 1.5 euros and take the steps down and up. Its about 8-10 flights of steps I'd guess. Take swimming trunks and beach shoes and enjoy walking up the canyon for a few hundred metres. The water is cold but not freezing, I'd guess around 18-20 degrees.

Very nice place, unfortunately in august like everything in Sicily very crowded. Take the unofficial entry where it costs only 1,50€ entry fee. Just go straight up from the street where there are the parking spaces and then you’ll see it :) The park itself can be walked a long time against the river. Later it gets a little dangerous, here you should consider if you book one of the guided tours or bring yourself a helmet and other protection outfits.

Take the stairs to the left (east) of the waterpark entrance for 1.5euros. You buy the ticket from the booth across the road. Waters cold! But nice on a hot day. It’s reasonably busy. You probably don’t need to spend much more than an hour here :)

Nice and very suggestive place. Public entrance is 1.50euro and you can go on the beach river and also walk in the cold river water for a 50m then becomes a bit difficult. However there are the tour guys who pretend to own the place and every 10 min they come and shout on people to leave the passway free for them. They are very rude!! A part for that all beautiful.

Flowing river inside a slotted canyon. Water temp feels good in the heat. Traveling in the stream can be a challenge if mobility is an issue.

Honestly this place is a trap for tourists, there is just one thing to see taking an elevator for 7-9 euros, you can also take others activities that either really expensive ( body rafting ) either useless ( walk around a small park with nothing to see ). It is hard to access and there is few buses to leave the place. Moreover it seems that most of the time the water is brown (not like the attractive pictures ).

In winter time the public access for 1.50€ is closed, I had to pay 9€ to enter the botanic park. While it does offer more views, pretty much everything is closed. Recommended only on a sunny day.

We came here in May 2023. The basic entrance where you can see the gorge was 7€ and it was just what you can see in the picture. A brown river and nothing else. You couldn't even walk anywhere. 7€ for an experience where you go down an elevator (you couldn't even walk there yourself), see this, take one picture and walk. Maybe it was the time of year but I would not recommend this at all.

This is a magical place! The most refreshing experience. Lots of stairs to access, but we later learned there is also a lift!

Nice scenery’s. Suggestion to by ticket for 1.5eur only. Same is sold for 7 eur in ticket office by bar just wit lift included. Some 200 meters by road from parking you find municipality ticket booth and pay 1.5 eur. For larger group it make sense 🙌

The canyon is splendid, really something you shouldn't miss if you like nature's beauty. They have multiple activities like trekking and body rafting. As a side note if you are gonna go there be prepared to walk in cold river water.

Amazing place! Take the stairs (1.5 euros), don't take the elevator (8 euros). It's not necessary

Gorge is very pretty and highly recommend seeing. It is a very busy place so if you dont like crowds be aware. There is also alot of stairs to get down to it with no disability access and you also need to purchase tickets to get access to it. Be aware there are no toilets once you are through the gates, however at the entrance there is two cafes and one public toilet. Make sure to wear water shoes as there is alot of stones and sharp rocks in the water.

The ice cold river is a perfect getaway from the scorching sun. You may walk in the river barefoot, but some people prefer to wear beach shoes. Don't miss the vista spots on the trekking path. It's easy and short distance, so it is suitable for all ages. The frozen lava rocks are beautifully formed by the water.

Gorgeous place. I have been here with my wife and my son in September. We paid the guided trek in the river up to Venus balcony. It was an exciting experience.

A gem in the heart of Sicily where there is something for everyone, from adventures, to swimming, trekking, sunbathing and exploring. Dedicated park rangers who helped us go round this fabulous park. Not to be missed.

Very beautiful canyon with interesting rock formations. Note that you can't get into the canyon without wading through the water, so it's probably not suitable in winter.

Loved it, came with a school trip and the guide was amazing, the view was unreal

This is such an amazing place. Spectacular path through lemon trees, beautiful vegetation, incredible rocks... The colour of the water unbelievable also very very cold.

Great place to experience something special in Sicily. Be aware that the water temperature of the river is freezing cold, so it is impossible to swim in it. You have to pay to accesss it by lift, in 2022 it costed 8 euros. The combined ticket with the walking was 12 euros. In my opinion it was not worth it, there are only a few sport where you can really see the river, and the rest is rather boring. All in all this place is definitely worth the visit! 👍

The canyon and river are beautiful. We got hop on hop off bus up but as we had a week ticket it covered us for the Etna service bus so could stay untill late. Bring water shoes and something to sit on. The lava rocks are smooth but roasting hot!

Unfortunately not very well maintained in winter so we couldn't go around much ... Just a 20min walk, paying €5...
