NOTE: "THE CAPITOLINE WOLF", one of the important statues in Capitoline Museum. Babies, Romulus and Romus suckled by a she-wolf, which is the symbol of City of Rome. The story is lengthy and request to refer to Google. However, Romulus kills his brother Romus and found The Kingdom of Rome!

The bronze sculpture of the Capitoline wolf by Antonio del Pollaiuolo depicts a she-wolf suckling the mythical twin founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus. The real life sculpture is located inside Palazzo dei Conservatori. Tickets can be bought on the official site.

A copy stands outside of the museum, almost overlooking the forum. Visit the museum to see the original.

Smaller than I expected & a little bit hidden, but still worth seeing if you’re in the area, especially if you’re a history buff. My toddler was excited to see a statue of a wolf on a column. It’s a bit of a hike to get to, so be prepared.

The she-wolf that raised the two founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, is quite an outstanding myth that everyone has heard before. This is only a copy of the actual Lupa Capitolina that's inside the museum next to it. I appreciate the fact that they decided to put this out on the street for thr curious tourist eyes. It's can be easily missed, but look across the spring fountain and you'll see it.

A genuine replica of the Capitolian Wolf by the entrance to the museum where the original statue is stored.

We found this little hidden sculpture by chance. The larger original is in the museum. The statue shows Romulus and Remus with a she-wolf

This is a copy of the original found in the Capitoline Museum. It's also smaller in size. Currently there is some restauration work so there are scaffolds around it.

Even if the statue is not as impressive as expected, you absolutely have to go see it! This is the very history of Rome

Legendary sculpture. If you pass by here, you should definitely take a photo. However, I was disappointed because I had imagined it to be much larger - but it is very small and stands on top of a pillar. Now I've learned that this is just a publicly accessible copy, while the original is probably in a museum. At least...

The best alternative if you want to visit the real Mama Loupa since it's a replica. Very nice!

Everything we sow in Rome was huge. This sculpture was super small and could barely notice it.

The sculpture is in the Palazzo dei Conservatori. Worth seeing when visiting the city. The cafeteria terrace offers a fantastic view of the city.

It is a monument that represents the founding of Rome but do not expect to see something big, it is about the size of a dog, but it is a small monument.

Statue of the legendary founders of Rome. It's little bit smaller than most of tourists think.

The She Wolf who suckled Romulus and Remus. This is an exquisite bronze you won’t want to miss, and it’s easy to. She is just on the left of the center building in the Capitolina. The museums there are sublime. The Capitolina itself is a wonder. For me, this is the real Rome. To know this plaza is to understand why Rome is the Eternal City.

What I liked most was the beautifully crafted barrier and the Sagaland tree that blocked the view. I was also impressed by the enormous size of the statue. The sight of the she-wolf was particularly highlighted by her impressive piggy nose. This made her slightly reminiscent of a rat. Accordingly, both the statue and the surrounding area definitely deserve five stars!

Such a shame, I thought a female wolf had to be bigger, but good. Romus and remulus are unrecognizable, they were so tiny... fenced in by construction workers, you couldn't even get close with your reading glasses :( it's a shame, but since only a copy is ok, if at least the real one looks good! Nevertheless, our Latin teacher will be disappointed and we will no longer be considered legendary Latins by her!!?!! Valete
