Hotel looked brand new and was kept in excellent condition. We found inconsistent service levels, but most staff were overall very friendly and professional. Some of the information provided at check-in could have been printed or in a book or something for reference (breakfast times, bar opening times, etc.). A bit of "information overload" and you don't retain it later! Only 1 star for location. There is NOTHING around the hotel. It is a 25 minute walk to the city centre. The hotel offers a free shuttle service but it isn't always easy to plan around that. Breakfast is served but it is limited. You can order things like eggs/omelettes but they're offered at an additional cost. Fairly pricey hotel overall. The grounds and pools are lovely and the views from the rooftop are second to none.

Easily the best hotel I have stayed in in Italy. This is true 5 star service. From the first second you step inside, it is clear the staff have your comfort as their first priority. I have to shout out the restaurant in particular. These guys are best-in-class and just blew us away with their knowledge and service. Will definitely stay here on our next trip to Sorrento.

Recently completed a five night stay and can honestly say that Hotel Mediterranean exceeded my expectations in every way. The location, view, room, breakfast, rooftop and pool were all excellent. The staff and service level made everything even better, exceptional client service.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating! Rooms are quite small for the price (maybe just a sorrento thing) a taxi to the city center is around $30, walking takes around 20 mins, and the hotel shuttle takes you over half way. The rooftop bar was stunning with great cocktails. Dinner at Vesuvius had great views. You need your room key And an extra card for the beach (we stopped to quickly pick this up from the front desk explaining it was our first time to go down but they didn’t give it to us and we ended up getting about 4 minutes and when I went back they were kinda oh well about it). Also ended up being late to an excursion because of a taxi mix up then the excursion lady kinda yelled at me on the phone even though we were only 4 minutes late LOL. Would suggest building in buffer time for the lax nature here and packing extra euros (atms markup around %16!)

We could not have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon. With private access to a gorgeous beach, a quiet pool and poolside bar, delicious breakfast overlooking the bay, and impeccable service, we were in heaven. Never have we felt so taken care of by hotel staff—every team member at Hotel Mediterraneo was helpful and attentive at every moment. We loved coming back to this refuge after battling crowds in downtown Sorrento. We hope to come back again!

I can not say enough good things about this hotel! This is mine and my husbands 2nd time staying here and I can’t wait to come back. The staff is amazing. They are so attentive and nice. It is a very personalized experience. They make you feel very welcome. Also, housekeeping is fantastic. While it’s fun to go into Sorrento, on this trip we didn’t even want to the leave the hotel. We went to the private beach one day, sat by the pool a few times, had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here, dinner and a show, the Vista Sky Bar. It’s just incredible. And the food is delicious. The best we had our whole stay. We can’t wait to come back!

The best 5 days of our entire 3 week vacation in Italy. We traveled from Sorrento - Rome - Florence - Milan, all the way to Lake Como and Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento had exceeded all of our expectations. We still talk about it and compare it to all our other lodging experiences. From the extremely comfortable beds, the most gorgeous views, the tidiest and cleanest room arrangements, the breakfast and pool food, the bar, the private beach access, the swimming pool, the hospitality and kindness from the staff - it was a dream stay and we would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Italy!! Very, very, very happy to have stayed here as a central point to Positano and Capri as well. Don’t hesitate to book - it is worth it. Grazie Mille!

The staff is wonderfully patient and helpful. They make sure that you are comfortable. There is a sky-bar where you can enjoy the sunset and beautiful view!

The service at the hotel is fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very special. We booked a number of excursions and restaurants booked through the concierge with their suggestions and each was a perfect choice. Staff in the restaurant and bar were warm and friendly and the food and wine delicious. Perfect place for a honeymoon. Close enough to Sorento to enjoy it but far enough out to enjoy the peace. Beautiful views from the restaurant and rooftop bar, the latter a great place to go to watch the sunset.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the panoramic rooftop bar in May 2023 and stayed at the hotel for three days after. We could not have been more pleased with the service that we received. Alessia the events coordinator was friendly, organized, and beyond helpful when it came to accommodating our many requests. She even stopped by to wish us luck when we came back for dinner after our stay, which was above and beyond what is expected from an events coordinator after the event itself. When it came to the staff at the front desk, the entire team was pleasant and remarkably eager to accommodate us during our stay. Over the course of our few weeks in Sorrento, we ended up staying at three different 5-star hotels. The Hotel Mediterraneo is by far and away the best that we experienced, and it is primarily due to the diligent and hardworking staff that we interacted with daily. The views from the rooms, the hotel bar, the pool, the outdoor restaurant, and the proximity to excellent restaurants make the Hotel Mediterraneo a 5-star hotel--it is the people that work there which make it the best place to stay in Sorrento.

One of the finest hotel experiences of our lifetime. We spent a few evenings here recently for a portion of our honeymoon. We were treated like royalty throughout the entire stay. The service, especially the restaurant, whether for dinner or the included breakfast, is of old-world top tier quality. The rooms and their views are superb. The pool area is spectacular and well maintained. The rooftop bar is pricey for the area ($25 cocktails) but standard for a 5 star hotel in Italy. And you're paying for the best view in Sorrento. We went near their Independence Day and enjoyed a bay fireworks display. I cannot speak more highly of this place.

Positive experience at this hotel! The staff were friendly and made you feel welcomed, especially Anello. Breakfast on terrace had breathtaking views and food was delicious. Americo provided great service too for our pool days. Highly recommend booking your stay here.

My wife and I had an excellent time at Hotel Mediterraneo. The staff was excellent and helped us with every request, including booking travel from the airport and to our next destination. The rooms were beautiful and our view was priceless. We will definitely be back here if we return to Sorrento.

The hotel amenities are phenomenal. The rooftop bar at sunset is a must. Make sure to reserve a seat at the sky bar with the extremely friendly and helpful staff to ensure you get the best seat to view the sunset. The spa is also fantastic with relaxing treatments. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Wonderful hotel! Beautiful decor with a large foyer, welcoming doorman, and a sitting area (loved the colors and velvet upholstery) with a welcoming vibe. We had a pretty room with a balcony overlooking the pool and the hills of Sorrento. The breakfast buffet and indoor or outdoor seating (overlooking Mt Vesuvius across the water) was excellent. The service and staff was top notch throughout the hotel. A special nod to Pina at the front desk for going above and beyond - they are very lucky to have her. I highly recommend staying here. My only wish was that the pool stayed open past 1900.

I only ate at this restaurant so can't comment on the rooms. The food was delicious and the staff were excellent. Our meal was timed over sunset and there can't be many better places to watch it!

My wife and I recently got married at this hotel. From the minute of us walking into this hotel everyone had a huge smile on there face and greeted us with joy. Alessia our wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing. She helped us through out our whole process. If you’re looking for an amazing venue for your dream wedding this is the place to go. Super location, beautiful hotel. The bed is a little too firm for my taste but it's a minor complaint. The staff here are just wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to visit again next year

All the employees were very courteous, friendly, and professional. It’s who you have working there that makes your business truly stand out among other luxurious hotels. The most beautiful hotel with friendly staff! The service team goes above and beyond and they truly make you feel special. We came here on our honeymoon and had the most relaxing and luxurious experience. Not to mention the food, views, pool and rooftop are also exquisite! Oh and breakfast on the terrace is included and it’s a breathtaking view! 100% recommend and cannot wait to visit again - my favorite part of our trip in Italy!
