Our visit to magical Matera would never be the same without this tour. Pure adventure was riding around the town with awesome guide Vito. Really great experience! Vito was very knowledgeable, friendly, and reliable. I was in a group of 6 and the van ride experience was very comfortable. The van was updated and spacious. Vito is a very good driver and you felt safe. I came across his company through google and noticed what his tour offered and I was about to tweak it a little and Vito happily obliged. My group was staying in Polignano a Mare so I set that up as the pickup and dropoff and he drove us to the two UNESCO sites Alberobello & Matera. Vito lets you explore for two hours in each location and gives you fast responses via whatsapp for when/where you want to be picked up again. I highly recommend using him.

Once we understood the size and geography of Matera, we were keen as first-time visitors to experience a good introduction to the town without wearing ourselves out. This is definitely the way to do it! The Ape can go just about anywhere, and Vito (who speaks excellent English) knows Matera and its history well as his family comes from Matera.
