We felt so lucky to have been taken to this winery for a beautiful tasting and lunch! The experience was incredible and the views to die for. The attentive service from the owner and waiter was so wonderful and warm. I can’t say enough about the food paired with the wines and overall pace of the experience. We were given knowledgeable information without being too pressured to buy and without too much hovering. The wine was so delicious! I usually don’t love sparkling but the sparkling rose was my favorite of the day. Would HIGHLY recommend.

When putting together our day driving through Tuscany, we decided we wanted to experience lunch at one of the wineries. Thank God we found this one!!! This was one of our absolute favorite parts of the entire trip! From the start, the service was impeccable. Francesca was fun, knowledge, and just the right amount of present. She let us have our time and also knew exactly when to step in. The food was amazing. Bruschettas and Buratta and pasta and bread! The winner was definitely the truffle pasta with their in-house truffle oil. We had to walk away with a bottle of it. The wines were also delicious and the pours were bountiful! The property has gorgeous views and overall was a wondering experience!

Very beautiful Winery all around the Green beauty in the Toscan area. Andrea was very welcoming and friendly and the food with the wine was good. I add a lot of photos of the area + the food/menu we had hoping it will help you decide.

We just have wine tasting lunch in Poggio Amorelli. The experience is so great, food is nice, view is good, our host is very very very nice, he showed us the winery, fermentation area, and explained all the wine to us. The wine are better than our expectations, especially the chianti classico reserva and the horse one, you need at least an hour to swirl letting air to develop them, they are complex wine. Because we need time to taste the wine, we need to give up the next winery visit as we went there by bus. But we think it worths and we don't want to waste the horse (super Tuscany). Reminde: don't drink and drive. You may take the bus #125 from Siena to Poggio Amorelli and vice versa. I personally strongly recommend to visit here because of the good wine and nice man here:)

Beautiful family winery, great second stop of the tour. The host was very nice and welcoming, amazing English and easily conveyed information to his guests. Very tasty wine selection with in-depth knowledge of the process. The stand out for me was the 20+ year old Balsamic vinegar absolutely delicious on bread or cheese. I can't wait to tell my family and friends about this back home.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE - I couldn't recommend enough, my favourite wine tasting that I have done! We booked onto the wine tasting with the lunch and had a great afternoon. The setting was gorgeous, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The lunch was 4 courses, everything delicious - you even got to sample olive oil and balsamic vinegar that they have been growing. The wine was amazing, we sampled some sparklings (white and rosé) and 3 reds. After the lunch, we moved to the terrace and got another bottle. A must do if in the area! It's quite hard to reach via public transport but we managed a bus from Siena, they're very irregular so keep an eye on the times!

A pleasant experience at Poggio Amorelli vineyard. We were warmly welcomed by the daughter of the owner and, since we arrived very early, privately guided by Nicola (in very good English!). He showed us around, kindly made some pictures of us and of course walked us through the whole tasting experience of Chianti Classico wines. Additionally, we were given to taste Poggio Amorelli extra virgin olive oil and Balsamico. I loved Balsamic Vinegar 20 years old which Nicola recommended to spill over an ice cream and strawberry dessert! A friend of mine, who visited Poggio Amorelli few months ago, tasted Balsamic Vinegar >36 years old and she was stunned, so highly recommend to not overlook this! Wines were very nice too! Of course, the older the wines the more pleasant taste they had, loved them all! Next to wines, we were offered some nice snacks which were a nice addition! We didn’t stay for lunch but, if you are not in a rush, a friend of mine highly recommended to try it too! All in all, very good experience, learnt a lot! Highly recommend to all red wine lovers! Please bear in mind that Poggio Amorelli wines are sold only at their winery and are not distributed through retail shops. Yet, they can ship some wines at request (min 6 bottles).

Wonderful tour of a nice family run vineyard and winery. After the tour we enjoyed a great meal and even better wines. Beautiful scenery and tucked away. A must see in my book! Bellissimo!

Nice vineyard that has good lunch options - they serve full glasses of tasting wine for lunch, which is great but think about getting a taxi instead of driving. Lunch is a set menu, but is lovely and a good option to spend a few hours at. Make a reservation before coming as we were walk-ins and had to come back on another day.

The best winery with amazing views, location, wine and personality. Family was so kind and their approach was just amazing! Experiencing is just like a living in the fairytale. We tasted many kinds of wine, experience the proces of making and producing wine. Everything was so delicious and made with love. 10/10

Amazing winery in Tuscany! Visited on my anniversary trip and bought a bottle of wine to take home. Still dream of this place. They have amazing balsamic and truffle oil as well! Owner was so kind and gave a great tasting. Can’t wait to get back to Chianti!

Easily the best winery in Tuscany! If you’re visiting Florence you have to make the trip to Poggio Amorelli. The drive to Chianti Classico region is breathtaking and unforgettable. We went in early spring so we caught a bit of a thunderstorm which we thought would ruin the day. Instead it turned out to be one of our most cherished memories of this visit to Italy. We had a delicious lunch which our one year old loved! My wife loved the wine tasting and I enjoyed the oils they make. I had to take home a bottle of truffle oil. enjoying a meal and wine while hearing the sound of rain was the most unique and pleasant experience. The staff is amazing and that’s including Eddie haha (poodle) We visited a few wineries during our stay in Chianti and while they’re all great in their own way some are too big and commercial to offer a genuine and unique experience like the one we had at this family owned and operated winery. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time and the tour of the winery is a fun way to learn how their wine is made and gives a bit of authenticity to the quality and care they put into their wines.

Absolutely loved our experience here. We were referred to Poggio Amorelli after our original winery tour over booked and left my newly married wife and I two seats apart from each other on a bus full of college kids. Thankfully, Poggio Amorelli still had some last minute availability. One of the family owners came out to greet us and encouraged us to explore the vineyard and take photos before we began our dinner in the vineyard with wine and olive oil tasting. We purchased a few bottles at the end of the experience. I messaged them recently asking when I should open one of the bottles and they were able to quickly tell me exactly when it was bottled and when I should drink it. I would highly recommend paying them a visit!

Loved Marco, the family and our guide Andrea. Very informative, beautiful views and amazing property. The wine was excellent as well as the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Highly recommend.

We absolutely LOVED it here. The views, the food (some of the best pasta we had), the wine, all fantastic! You can tell the family who runs Poggio Amorelli has a true passion for it. It was a great experience. We love to enjoy our delicious bottles of Chianti and the amazing olive oil that we ordered directly from them. Definitely would recommend adding Poggio Amorelli to your list of places to visit!

Our friends recommended this exclusive private-owned winery and it was our favorite experience. The best winery we visited! Beautiful, beautiful farm with delicious wine and food. The tour was very informative. The wine was expertly poured with all of the steps necessary to fully experience the wine. We chose the lunch option with our booking and the meal was exquisite! We had probably 7 courses of delicious foods to enjoy with the wine. The pairings were so excellent. The service was amazing and the staff made us feel very welcomed. We purchased wine to ship home and all of the prices (which are reasonable) include VAT and shipping! The best part is that even though this exclusive winery does not import to the US commercially, we are able to order more directly from the winery after our first order. This assured me I could order variety as opposed to stocking up on my favorite (which was difficult to pick anyways). I cannot wait to return! Grazie Amorelli family !

We were here for a wine tasting and the whole experience was amazing. The staff were very passionate about their products and everything was delicious! We will come back on our own next time we are in the chianti region!

One of the best wineries in Tuscany. Food was delicious, the family and staff are so humble and welcoming. Andrea your service will be remembered! We will be back!

Absolutely loved! The setting was stunning and the family was very lovely and welcoming. We had about 14 glasses on our table with a 6 course food tasting as well!. The wine tasting showcased a number of beautiful flavours you can only experience here. 10/10. Thank you! From Sydney, Australia.

Highlight of our trip. We booked the ‘wine tasting and light lunch’ which ended up being 4 delicious food courses & 6 glasses of wine to try. We particularly enjoyed the fresh pasta and the cheese tasting course. The staff were incredibly friendly and passionate, the views were beautiful and the whole experience was 10/10. If we’re ever back in Tuscany, we will be returning without hesitation!

Small new vineyard. We rescheduled to just a tasting instead of lunch. The wine tasting experience seemed a bit rushed unfortunately and chaotic (after waiting 20 mins), although the wines, oils and vinegars were all tasty. Staff were friendly and passionate but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Tour was brief, but given privately by one of staff after asking, which was appreciated.

Went on a wine tour here yesterday, and WOW! Blown away. Host was incredible, you can tell he lives and breathes what he does with such a passion. Food paired was PERECT. Sparkling Rose was perfectly light, crisp and intricate. We ended up buying 6 bottles of the reserve Chianti, and were not disappointed. Loved the experience, thanks so much!

Fantastic winery - a tour was appropriate length (not too short not too long), the tasting experience was fun, informative and above all delicious. The wine is a superb representation of Chianti verities. Oracolo, their super Tuscan, is especially good. All the animals (especially Pimpa!) are great addition to the experience. Recommend an early tasting as it is far less crowded and you get to interact more with their wonderful staff.

Our first "Under the Tuscan Sun" moment. A sunny day driving through rolling hills of Tuscany where the winding roads were lined with olive trees & pencil conifers. We stopped at Poggio Amorelli Winery and after touring the winery & learning about all the rules to produce Chianti Classico (everyday wine), Chianti Reserve (special occasion) or Super Tuscan (when you are feeling fancy), We had a tasting & a "light lunch." We had crostino with fresh black king mushrooms & tomatoes; 5 types of pecorino cheese, tagliatelle with bolognese, salami, ham, chickpea soup. For desert, we were served Rose & an apple grape tart. We met the famous black rooster 🐓(represents the Chianti Region), a mini doodle, a black cat 🐈‍⬛️ named truffle & a sheep named Nello who barks like a dog. We learned that brut = sweet (how had I never googled that?) We purchased the best rose I've ever tasted (made with the Chianti Classico grapes), a 36 year old balsamic & new olive oil (tastes like grass). It was a perfect, dreamy day.

We came in for an impromptu visit and they were able to get us in for a tasting, I’d recommend making a reservation! The wine and snacks were delicious and the surroundings are beautiful. Our waitress was knowledgeable and personable. She was passionate about the wine and it made the experience even better.

Amazing experience! The lunch and wine tasting here has been the highlight of our trip to Italy from the United States. We enjoyed a short tour followed by a four course lunch on a lovely little veranda. This place is very organized and every detail is beautiful. Our guide was very kind and attentive throughout the experience.

Amazing experience at Poggio Amorelli !! First, in the heart of Chianty/tuscany, the place is just great in the middle of wonderful typically north Italian landscapes. Many thank to the staff for their warm welcome to Poggio Amorelli, they really took the time to explain and present us their winery and all different types they make. Many thanks again, hop to visit again !

Wonderful place really! We loved it. They are REALLY nice people. They accepted to take us for wine tasting even though they were full of reservations for lunch. Very accommodating, would recommend to get a reservation before going!!

Had an epic lunch and wine tasting here. Food was fantastic. Wine was fantastic. The service was great. I just deducted one star as the wines are pricier than I was expecting when compared to other vineyards in the region and the property is not quite as beautiful as some of the other ones. But if you get a chance to do the lunch here definitely do it! It’s 50 euro per person but they literally just fill up your glass with wine whenever you finish!
