All of Venice is beautiful. The petina on the building really gives it a nice color. We went through here with a tour guide, and then we decided to come back to this area to explore a little more. I think it is better to walk through Venice on your own rather than with a tour guide. You can search and discover the city at your leisure, and take breaks as needed- wine and dine.

To be fair this, along with the rest of the city, is well worth a visit. Unlike other areas it's easy to rest up a minute here, without having to spend money

I just happened to wander by it quite on accident, but I couldn't help snapping away a few pictures. The area has a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants, but this is just a little off the main drag so it was a bit more peaceful. It would be a great place to sit, relax and regroup for a moment during your trip.

Not as crowded as St Marks and next door to Peggy’s museum. You can walk to the end of the island for a great view of the main island. Basilica is plain inside but very peaceful.

Beautiful views. Much quieter than Rialto and really lovely to just stand and watch water traffic.

Beautiful, clean and truly a nice place to visit only on a short term basis. Despite the city being so beautiful, it's full of rude native people, and the Italian culture felt suffocated here. Definitely wont visit again.

Treviso is a great place to stay if you want to explore Venice but don't want to deal with the crowds. It is also a fabulous place in it's own right full of history and the canals are beautiful.

A small square surrounded by some old buildings, apparently in original state from long time ago.

Nice little square where we met up to meet one of our food tours. Seems to be pretty touristy around here
