    October 2021: Just moved into the community. It seems like this place maintains communal areas well to make a good impression, but beneath the surface are apartment units that are finished with poor quality. The walls have been painted in the "updated units", the ceiling fans are new, flooring and carpet are new, but the rusting kitchen cabinets have only been painted over(including paint over the magnets that's supposed to hold the doors closed. Who wants to see gaps and gagged carpentry everytime the walk into the kitchen? Some of our drop ceiling tiles in the kitchen are warped and showing gaps as well. I found 3 dead roaches upon moving in, 2 by the in-unit water heater and 1 in our bedroom window frame. Our bathroom closet was painted closed which makes the door stick and hard to open. Been here 3 days and it feels like the apartment quality doesn't match the rent we'll be paying. Those kitchen cabinets and the lack of attention to detail in our unit is disheartening, but hopefully our concerns are addressed and rectified. August 2022 Update: The prior management company(Renew) had conducted 3 apartment inspections within the last 4 months and now the property is managed by Marquette Management. The staff is the same and just as incompetent as ever. The maintenance men dont fix anything that requires more than a Phillips/Flathead screwdriver. Be prepare to hear a whole lot of "uh, I dont know, man. Sorry." everytime something needs to be fixed. The building doesn't have a true mailroom. Inside the leasing office there's a Parcel Locker room that you have to pay for access to, but the delivery services rarely put packages in the lockers. The drivers leave packages on the floor in that room even though there's a sign telling them not to. The packages are getting ransacked and stolen. The people working in the leasing office wont even review the camera to see who's opening up packages that dont belong to them. I was told the cameras are only to view if somebody does damage to their property. I'm seriously considering calling the police and having the problem investigated. I bet they'll review those camera when a warrant for the tape gets served‼️ The way the lady in the leasing office sounded dismissive of the problem made me think they could possibly be the ones stealing in the first place. I mean, it's happening right under their nose, less than 20 feet away, and they dont want to do even the slightest to fix the problem. Bensenville is a good area to live but the staff at this apartment complex is trash. We're paying over $1350/month for a dirty building and our packages get stolen.

    Maintenance marked the work order as completed without doing anything or informing us about a resolution. I had to follow up with the leasing office to be informed that pest control has been scheduled for this week and we dont know what day they're actually coming. There's rotting wood on the roof above our window with a whole bee hive in it and the bees are somehow coming through the seams of the window directly into our bedroom. We're gonna have to put plastic wrap over our window to prevent bees from entering in the middle of summer. Update with new video 8/4/2023: Amanda is responding to these google reviews trying to do damage control, but if the maintenance team and pest control don't do their jobs they are making her out to be a liar. I know pest control came by while we were gone because they left one of the locks on my door unlocked along with a note. They did absolutely NOTHING to fix the problem! We have tape on our window to block the bees from getting through and into our bedroom. That tape has not been touched and there is still a beehive in the rotten wood on the roof's siding. It's actually getting worse(please see attached video). Pest control needs to be addressing this problem from outside the apartment(from the roof or using a ladder) and maintenance needs to be replacing the rotted wood siding so the bees can't make a hive inside it. The truth needs to be told and I dont mind being the whistle-blower. The maintenance team does shoddy work as if all they know is the difference between a Phillips and a flathead screwdriver. All the reviews about packages being stolen on a daily basis are 100% true. These people will even steal your delivery food. Everything this lady Amanda says they're in the process of fixing has yet to be fixed. She should probably spend less time responding to Google reviews and spend more time ensuring the work is actually being done and things are getting fixed. Bennington's lack of attention to these glaring issues should be embarrassing for the whole staff.

    After living here for about two and half months I would say that I am completely disappointed in my experience here. Within the time I’ve lived here I have had probably a dozen packages stolen and management doesn’t seem to care about the theft situation. It is very frustrating to have your things stolen countless of times. What pisses me off is the fact that people have the decency to steal a handmade sign that I had made for my newborn child, like who in their right mind would steal that! The worst is when I get a notification saying my packaged arrive and not even 5 minutes and my packages is gone by the time I get to the lobby. About a week ago, I was doing laundry and when I saw that the dryer was finished I quickly went up to grab the clothes. By the time I had gotten up they’re all of my clothes, my baby’s clothes, and my girlfriend’s clothes were gone. Who steals another person’s laundry, it is honestly ridiculous! After the incident we immediately emailed management and have yet to receive any word on them. We had to file a police report for this because I was completely fed up with the theft that was continuously occurring. You would think a apartment complex this huge would have cameras everywhere, NOPE! I’m completely unhappy with my experience and how management takes care of things. These are not even all of my problems that I have dealt with in my time living here. Things need to get straightened out quickly. The one thing I am only happy with is my actual apartment and how quickly maintenance responds to requests, but besides that everything about my experience has been hell.

    Don’t let cheap new appliances trick you into thinking this property is great or managed well. It’s not, by far the worst property I’ve stayed on and I’ve lived in a building prior that was managed by Marquette. I believe the property manager is Amanda, she will not follow through on any issues you have with the building or your unit. Plus your mail and packages will be stolen and they don’t care.

    The experience wasn’t horrible. But telling someone to spend 1900 or more per month and “ saying don’t have your packages sent here because they be stolen “ is ludacris lol. There are too many places that have all amenities up and running with washers and dryers in unit to choose this one

    This place is not what you think. They lied to my niece about what they check for on your credit just to keep the admin fee if you are not approved. She specifically told them she didn’t have the right credit they said oh we don’t worry about that as long as you have no evictions . A LIE she had no evictions nor late payments with rental history. She went through a lot just to get told no . It has to be a racial thing

    Like the idea that there's a gym on premises altho rarher small. Appreciate your choice of 3 different pools to occupy. Small dog park is nice to have on the property but very boring, no shade and no drinking water accessible for the dogs. View from apt balcony is calm and beautiful, depending on which building you live in.

    Well, what can I say is I had work done in my apartment from a simple gig that escalated to a little more serious and annoying job, and as usual it took more time than needed to resolve. However it was resolved amicably, professionally and and without further incident with maintenance engineers Mr. T and Izzy. They were both professional, courteous quick and polite.
