I would give a negative 10 stars if I could. Cafe Rio has gone down hill with whom ever the new owner is. Their service is terrible and the last 4 orders I’ve place have been wrong and then I’ve needed to spend my valuable time trying to get it resolved. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION AND DO NOT GO TO ANY CAFE RIO LOCATIONS. I wouldn’t be this harsh if this had happened only once, but every order I’ve placed!!!!!!! Update: I called and complained that my order was inaccurate and that I paid for food that was missing (beans and rice, extra pork on my tacos). The lady said that she would refund me half the cost of my order and I never received it. Not only is the service terrible and they short you on your order, but they lie and cheat you!! Read all the reviews and you will see that this location it terrible and that Cafe Rio doesn’t care about you or the terrible service they provide. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS TAKING YOUR MONEY!!!! I thought I would give Cafe Rio another try, all I can say is terrible. I ordered two pork tacos and there was about a spoonful of meat in each. Here is a picture of one of my tacos. I used love cafe Rio. The staff is always rude and we decided to try it one more time. This is the shrimp taco I got. The shrimp is so hard I couldn’t even bite through it and I called and they said they could give me a credit in the app. I mentioned that the coupons aren’t even working in the app. I wouldn’t even be able to use the credit. After fighting them for money back for my inedible food. They finally said they would credit my card back they said it would take up to 2 weeks…..it never came they just lied to me.

i door dash here, & the wait time is absolutely terrible. i understand customer service in the food industry & i understand being slammed with orders. but it seems as if the staff doesn’t care & people haven’t been properly trained. the younger boy who works the register, bless his heart, was not trained it seems like at all. he isn’t paying attention & doesn’t seem to understand his job. they completely ignore doordash or people that ordered online for pick up. we have to wait 20 minutes + & are ignored. shift leads/ management, it’s obvious who you are when we have to sit & wait & your morale effects your employees work ethic. please do better. also what’s up with the minions dying quote of the day ?? insensitive & disgusting.

Food was OK but service was lousy!!! A group of 4 adults & 2 kids arrived at 5 pm. We were first in line and it took 5 minutes of us standing there before they took our order and even then, they did not start preparing because mobile orders were bumping us. There was no coconut shrimp ready (daily special), and no nacho chips ready. We were told it would be a few minutes to wait. We had already waited 5 minutes and now we got to 10. Once they started preparing our food, again mobile orders bumped us out of line. They focused on that and not our order. The staff, a girl and guy had lousy customer service attitude. They also had to ask us several times what we wanted. It took just short of 15 minutes for all of us to get our order before we could sit down. There did not appear to be anyone in charge or adult staff to ensure the line was working properly and efficiently. I also noticed that several of the bins were empty. When we went to leave, the garbage bins were full. I was not impressed though we have been there several times and had good service. This particular moment in time, 5 pm, March 23rd was a terrible experience.

I have been ordering through the app a lot more, and I have been very pleased with the accuracy of my order when I come to pick it up. There have only been a couple of times that one or two things were missing, and the staff was very happy to make sure that I got what was needed. The food always tastes fresh. At times, the tortillas can seem a bit dry or as if they had been sitting out for awhile, but that also does not happen too often. Overall, very pleased with this specific location! Highly recommend.

Genuinely don’t understand how this store isn’t rated better. They do a very good job at keeping it clean (when it’s not slammed with students) and my food has always been well prepared. I go there a lot and have never been dissatisfied.

I ordered a sweet pork salad. It was as expected until I crunched on a small rock! Ouch! I'm glad I didn't break a tooth. It made me wonder if the salad is getting washed.

The food was extremely delicious. I had the Carne Azada a tacos and they were fantastic.

After basically giving up on Cafe Rio a couple years ago due to the service and food quality at the River Road location we decided to stop in give it a shot. The staff was absolutely amazing. Fast friendly service and the food was pretty great too.

Daisy was very professional and so awesome! Right when I started to think they don’t train them like they used to… Daisy resurrects our faith in Cafe Rio and fast restaurants. Thanks!

After waiting an hour and 20 minutes from our scheduled time we finally received our food...wrong. almost every entree was incorrect or had minimal servings of rice and beans. Maybe 1 bite worth. Horrible service. The manager needs to be fired at this location for how the business is run. There were at least 40 people ready to mutiny the store waiting over an hour each. You should be ashamed of yourself. We spent over $100 and no care for us as customers. This location is plagued with slow service and horrible customer interaction. This isn't the first time we have had issues with this location. I will be going to other local locations even if it's a further drive. Pathetic.

This place is under new management and you can totally tell. It’s cleaner, friendlier, faster and the food is somehow better too. We will be coming back. It’s a great place to be and eat now! So glad we gave it a second chance.

Cafe Rio is extremely popular in Southern Utah, so there's usually a line when we go. The food is tasty enough to keep us coming back, though sometimes the prep area gets messier than we like to see. Families love the availability of the "niño" (small cheese quesadilla) for kids, while my wife and I love that the portions are large enough for us to share (or to save leftovers for the next day).
