3月に利用したが、発電所・復興等の関係者の長期滞在が多い感じで、一旅行者の身としては少し申し訳ない思いがした。ベストウェスタンホテルの系列らしく、フロント対応等に問題は全く無い。風呂がやや狭く壁が薄めという声もあるが、気になるほどではないし、設備が新しいので快適である。2階建でありエレベーターは無いようだが、主な客層を考慮し、あえてそうしたと思われる。浜通りにはこうした電力・復興関係者向けのホテルが多いようだが、ここは貴重なJR駅至近のホテル。ただし、朝以外は本数が少ない。また、ホテル近くにコンビニは無いので、夕食・朝食2食つきプランがお勧め。フロントで必要最低限のものは販売しているが、鉄道利用なら、あらかじめいわき駅で調達しておくのが無難。
