Service was very good. Attentive and prompt staff. During our visit it was a bit busy, but food was promptly made and served! Overall taste of the food was fresh and delicious. Very good prices for the food quality. We enjoyed our dinner and would recommend this restaurant for your seafood cravings!

We ate here 2 consecutive nights in September 2019, having walked from our nearby hotel in downtown Izmir. I searched for reliable restaurants, not being familiar with this city, and was frankly wary of waterfront mediocre tourist traps. Sakiz Alsancak was everything I hoped for -- it was delicious, well priced, friendly, and honest, and full of locals having a good time. Our group of 3 had several cold mezze starters, 2 grilled fish dishes (an amazing bargain at 49TL each), and wine. The entire bill was ~150TL for 3 people, for a very pleasant evening, high quality food, nice atmosphere. It was so good we simply came again the next night instead of going elsewhere. This restaurant is very nice, food is great. I really enjoyed having dinner late in the evening. Its very busy by the sea, everyone wants to be outside, having a nice view and nice meal is allways a winner. Definitely recommend this restaurant

Common knowledge is to avoid seafood restaurants by the waterfront because they end up being tourist traps. Well, not this place. Top-notch service and delicious food at reasonable prices. The glorious sunset view is a bonus

Wonderful dinner with amazing view of the sunset. Every dish was delicious, we love the crispy calamari, seafood paella and beef steak. Great hospitality was also extended. Our first dinner in Izmir and so glad we chose to have it here. Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

It was a great experience. Must try their sea bass and shrimp - which is a steal for the price you pay. The service was extremely nice. I arrived at a pretty hot day, the manager helped me adjusting the AC and provides ice water immediately when I mentioned it was a bit hot. They really care about their customer :) thank you so much. I had a wonderful memory in Izmir.

As a frequent solo traveller I am used to dining alone. The mediocre experience of being seated in this restaurant almost caused me to leave without ordering a meal. The food presentation was basic, no garnish or lemon with Calamari and a large globule of dressing hanging on the rim of the dressing dish.

Visited the place with my family and friends. Location is right in old town near the sea. Nice walkable area nearby having lot of restaurants. Food was good. Good service. We enjoyed our visit to the place.

Came to this lovely place near to our hotel. A short walk along the shore and found this lovely seafood restaurant. Very warmth and attentive but the manager and we enjoyed so much of the food .. ordered the grilled octopus which was delicious as well as the spicy garlic prawn. The seafood paella was excellent with great flavour. The grilled seabass was lovely with slightly fatty meat! The grilled beef and meatball were my kids favourite! Perfect cooked with great taste. The wine was decent with great value. We were given a free treat if their dessert!

Really lovely combination of quality seafood, location and good service plus doesn’t feel overpriced like many waterfront options. Was more than please with all the dishes ordered and really great use of vinegars, saffron and a variety of spice mixes. Surprise stand outs were the balikci borehi (seafood pastry!!!), girit Tuzlama (first time getting collard greens in turkey with a great sauté) and balick kokorec (calamari had a great spice mix). May be popping by again while I’m in Izmir.

It is one of the best restaurants i know in Izmir. Every meal has been prepared with such great care and so tasty. A real Aegean atmosfere with a rich choice of meat fish and vegetarian dishes. Friendly and caring staff. Really recommend this great place.

If you’re in Izmir, you must go to this restaurant on your first day. A beautiful view of the water, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious. Try the spicy calamari, and be sure to save bread to dip in the sauce left over.

This place was amazing! We spent 6 days in Izmir and ate here three times. Everything we had was great, good portions, great taste. The staff were wonderful, helpful with the menu and just plain friendly. Eat here, you will be glad you did!

It's not always the quality of the food that sets the level of review happiness. The fish was excellent, but what adds to the joy I feel here, is the chef and the two waiters, Bülent and Mithat made a really bad day end well. Big thank you to all here.

We’ve dine at thia restaurant. The food was pretty nice. We’ve had some mezes and some fish. It’s a bit expensive, but its good food. The only thing I would really apreciate and that i think that would make the food more enjoyable would be tif they wouls serve nice pide bread instead of the frozen small buns. As the dishes we had, there was the cheese with spicy pepper paste that was delicious and the smoked eggplant with yogurt and garlic, really nice both of them. We ordered some fried calamari, nicely fried and served with a fresh a tasty sauce. Some fried fish with a delicious and crispy potatoes, i would avoid the sauce though. And finally the spicy prawns in butter, the sauce was sooo good.

Just tried to eat here and place was EMPTY. Asked for a table outside the waiter said all reserved. Not even all the tables had reserved on them. It's a Tuesday, the place received good reviews but I can't honestly believe we wouldn't be able to eat dinner for 4 at 6pm. Won't be back here no matter how good the food. It's obvious they didn't want us there .
