Museum is pretty cool and tells the personal and political life of Ataturk. The museum is free for everyone. However, the film was only in Turkish and there was no toilet.

I admit, i entered the museum with hesitations. You see, my grandparents were refugees from Bursa and suffered the consequences of the war. I studied every single sentence written and every photo posted in this Ataturk museum as i did in the museum in Ankara. I know now, that history has always two sides. I have seen the Turkish side of the story and understand it completely, as my Turkish friends should understand the Greek side of this same story. Let us all start together, understanding each other and do everything possible to never face the same destruction again.

Free museum located 50m from the sea in Alsancak part of town. 2 floors, maybe 15 rooms, mostly large photos on the walls, all of them thoroughly described in English and Turkish. Not very crowded. The visit takes an hour, no more. This was his home while visiting Izmir. There are some photos of old Izmir, in the 20s, clock tower, Kordon. Use your imagination to put yourself in those photos at that time. Not many real artifacts, some clothes, hats, shirts. The old office and bedrooms, old furniture, bathtub. Very cute old days telephone. But not much really interesting. There is a movie running in one room, but no English subtitles. No WC, no services, other than guard going in. The machine selling souvenirs by the door was interesting. For free, so it's ok, but only if you have lots of time in town.

Very interesting museum retracing the life of Atatürk and the foundation of the Turkish Republic. Count at least 1h30 to read everything. Free entrance. Very warm inside during summer. No AC.

The location is just beside of the sea side. Easy to find it. And it is free to the entrance. In Turkey, Atatürk is an important person. Good to learn about him and also how Turkey started.

The information regarding the Founding Father of the Republic of Turkey is sufficient since he was born until his death. It was his stay while in Izmir. Air con can only be found in Ataturk's bedroom. It would be great if they add more collections

2 story building with several rooms to introduce you to Ataturk's life from beginning to end. Materials are in Turkish and English. Don't expect a lot to see, rather more to read. Pro tip: you can ask the video to be played in English or Turkish

Not much to view really, couple of clothes of Ataturk and few rooms. I believe it Could be made more intersting than this. Also the videos that are playing does not have any subtitles or translations for tourists as far as I can tell.

Visit Atatürk Museum on your trip to İzmir. A must visit for those who are interested in the life story of modern Turkey's founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. The small museum gives you a pretty good insight into the stages of life and remarkable successes of the great Turkish leader.

👍 One of the most important touristic sites of izmir. There's no need to buy a ticket as this monument is part of an urban space. The plaza is so lively even at midnight. Also, there are various restaurants, cafes and pubs. Also, the ancient bazar is close by.
