One of the most important touristic sites of izmir. There's no need to buy a ticket as this monument is part of an urban space. The plaza is so lively even at midnight. Also, there are various restaurants, cafes and pubs. Also, the ancient bazar is close by.

Nice spot to visit, can be very busy at times Info about the clock tower: The clock tower was designed by M. Raymond Pere and built in 1901 to commemorate the 25th year of the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid ll. The base of the Clock Tower is made from white marble, and most of the rest of the clock tower is constructed from stone blocks mined from near the town of Denizli. The Towers green and Pink Marble columns were brought from Marseilles. The four clocks located on each face near the top of the tower were a gift of the German Emperor, Wilhem ll and are dated 1901. The Clock tower itself was damaged in 1974 by an earthquake and the upper section was restored 2 years later in 1976. since that date the bell inside the tower has not rung. Interestingly the clock tower has no inscriptions.

At the center of the square is the İzmir Clock Tower, an old landmark built in 1901. The square is also near Kemeraltı, İzmir's major market (bazaar) district. At the southern end of the square is the Cultural Centre of Ege University, which includes an opera house, a music academy, and a museum of modern art

It's great to see the icon of Izmir. The location and views are amazing. And a short stroll takes into the market and old town. Magical!

This is the centre of Konak. Small but beautiful. The promenade is about 20m away. During the evenings they change colour. Busy place with loads of people. Great atmosphere.

I've been here many times and always enjoy the feeling it brings. Seeing all the people, locals, tourists and children spending time with their families, taking photos and feeding the hundreds of pigeons is magical. It's certainly a place to visit if you're a tourist! 👌😊

Izmir in general is my favorite location in Turkey. The Clock Tower is definitely something to be seen. Just keep an eye out for scammers - forcing you to buy roses, and fruit juice. They forcefully hand them to you and then demand payment. They don't take no for an answer. Clock Tower at night is spectacular! Worth the walk along the pier to get to the Tower.

The Izmir clock tower is an absolute must-see when visiting the vibrant city of Izmir. The heart of Konak Square is home to this historic site. The tower was constructed in 1901. It's the ideal place to spend your evening with family or friends because it is surrounded by a bustling scene of stores and cafes on one side and the sea on the other. The famous Izmir market, Kemaralti, is not far from the clock tower. A few other attractions, such museums and archaeological sites, are accessible on foot. We came here on a weekend morning when it wasn't very busy.

This is a very beautiful square where people hang out, right next to the sea. You will find green areas to sit, benches or you can just wander around and enjoy the atmosphere. We went there just before sunset because we read it is the best time to be around there and got to see some very beautiful colours. It was definitely worth it. The clocktower is very nicely built and gives the whole place a nice vibe. Everything sort of revolves around it. There are elderly people who were selling seeds for the pigeons, water and other small trinkets. Afterwards you can take a stroll right next to the sea, sit around there some more and just observe the everyday life of people who seem to have no worries. Definitely a nice place to hang around in Izmir.

Part of history. You can feed birds: the small pack is 5 TL and the big one is 10 TL. Stunning view of the Ege sea, very kind people, full of food shops around, and fun in the market (bazaar). Could not find WC for kids made me upset.

This place is worth visiting. The sunset and sunrise both give an ambient look. Unfortunately, this is also the only place to visit in Izmir.

this building is definitely the most prominent landmark of izmir. You can capture a very beautiful view, especially with the illuminations made at night. but beware of the crowd, especially on weekends. After your trip, I definitely recommend you to visit Kemeraltı Bazaar. but definitely be careful about the path you take because inside is like a maze

It was smaller than expected, but it was a pleasant experience. Difficult to go to if you go through the market. Also feeding the pigeons you can possibly catch one but remember that pigeons hold grudges and will attack you throughout your time there.(written by tweens/teens)

Kinda crowded but a nice place to relax, see the clock tower, the mountains and the mezquite. It's iconic so it's a must in your visit of Izmir. Close by is the bazaar, another must in your visit to Izmir. Expect to see tourists, locals, beggers and lots of pigeons mixed with the singing of some local artists.

Very comforting public plaza, with sea breeze soothing the encounter while feeding the domestic pigeons flapping around. The tower overlooks the Aegean Sea within walking distance and tramways nearby.
