I visited the Svalinn Hotel for the first time with my beloved one. It's a very nice high-class decorated hotel. The staff was very friendly and smiley although we didn't talk much my partner was doing most of the talking for me. The atmosphere inside was very welcoming and "warm." One gentleman from the staff took my bag on our way to our room, a very nice gesture from him. The room was very clean, silent and very big with a lot of lighting options. The hotel offers a plethora of options for breakfast. I was a bit shocked because I didnt know what to choose. We didn't have the chance to try the hotel's spa, but certainly, I will give a try on my next visit. A highly recommended hotel.

Overall it was OK. The room is big and specious. There was some light smoking smell tho. The gym is not usable at all. They need to replace all tools. The terrace bar/restaurant is good for chilling and having a drink.

We had an amazing experience at Svalinn! Our flight landed in Izmir in the middle of the night, and we arrived much earlier than the check-in time. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and promised to expedite our room arrangements. Surprisingly, we received our room shortly after, a full 7 hours before the scheduled check-in time. It was such a relief not to have to wait. The rooms were fantastic, exceeding our expectations. The staff were exceptionally friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. We highly recommend Svalinn for an enjoyable and hassle-free experience."

The hotel is excellent for families. We stayed around 10 days and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. All the staff members are very kind and helpful. It’s close to the airport and a bit outside of the city Center but we had a car so for us not a big issue. Would recommend it definitely to all families with kids.

Stayed here after a flight got cancelled. While I understand staff here were under pressure due to suddenly having close to 100 guest arrive in a short and unexpected time period, one staff member I believe her name was Melissa at reception was extremely rude and unhelpful. When I approached asking for help and clarification I was abruptly told to sit down. Passports were removed from us during check in with the promise of getting them back once they 'went through the system'. When I attempted to retrieve my passport from Melissa she refused to return it saying it would be given back at check out. As we were getting a bus to the airport early morning, and as this was my government issues ID I was unhappy with this arrangement. On top of this another passengers passport had gone missing during the same timeframe in the care of staff. She was adamant she had the right to hold onto my passport. She was blatantly rude, unhelpful and interrupted me many times. After speaking to be in fluent English for approx 15 minutes about the issue, she suddenly said 'im sorry i don't know english'. My Turkish speaking boyfriend then asked her in Turkish regarding the issue to which she smirked and walked away. After 20 minutes of getting nowhere I approached another staff member who returned my passport with nil issues whatsoever. Management seriously need to reconsider who they have as there face to the public in there reception. Room was spacious and clean but I simply cannot get over how badly we were treated by Melissa.

Just checked out of the hotel this morning. We had a great experience. It's very nice hotel and good customer service. Only cutting one star as wifi was really poor in the room. It was fine in the lobby area but room doesn't have good reception. This seems to be a problem mostly everywhere in Turkey where we have stayed so far.

Big room and bathroom. Slippery floor bathroom. Mirrors not cleaned, several handprints caused by ?? Lunchbox sober in comparison with breakfast what might have been served when we didnt have to leave that early. Bread very dry, fruit hard, not eatable. No friendly goodmorning, neither did we get help with carrying our luggage. We are 60+ and 70+ with a bit healthproblems, so some assistance would have been a relief. Just a few small things that make it the hotel not worth the 4 stars. Issues that are simple to improve, with just a little more attention to the guest.

Luxury hotel from the minute you walk through the door. Lounge area has large seating areas with leather Chesterfields. Bar service is available here, it's not expensive at all. Reception staff could di with speaking better English and also have the power to tell some rooms to be quiet during sleeping hours. Mainly used by businessmen & people having their teeth done. Large restaurant on fourth floor where you can eat outside.

If you're coming to Izmir whether for personal or business travel, make this hotel property one of the first ones you research. I stay here on monthly rotations for work and I will say I really feel like it is my home away from home. The staff is smiling and friendly as soon as the glass doors slide open. The lobby design cues gives elegance yet the atmosphere is down to earth. Now because I stay here on a repeated basis for extended periods of time, some things I nitpick because of repetition over time like the food choice. However, the majority of guests are staying for way shorter so don't be bothered by that. The rooms are huge with comfortable queen/king sized beds, a couch, double closets, and stocked mini fridges and plenty of toiletry amenities. If you're new to travel in Europe and Asia, I would recommend asking for an extra keycard (an energy card) at check-in because you need it to activate power in the rooms. If you leave and you have devices charging or you're running the AC or heat, all power-run processes cease about 30 secs or so after you take your keycard out of the slot. The restaurant offers plenty of options in food and appetizers. Usually, they serve soup and/or salad automatically with dinner... like, EVERYDAY! Breakfast is buffet style, and if you like eggs I'd recommend asking for your eggs to be cooked how you like (use google translate with precise language to effectively make your request). Again, all the staff are extremely professional and accommodating, no attitudes or fuss. If you've got time, try getting a massage all the way downstairs in the spa. There's also a small sitting pool to soak in. Enjoy your stay and thank you Svalinn staff! Till next time

No way this hotel is a 4 star it’s a 3 star at best. Rooms are horrible. The staff at reception hardly speak English they I find shocking because there are loads of tourists. The breakfast was really bad poor quality. If you can avoid this place it’s not nice at all

Very nice and professional staff. Hotel is very clean and modern. Rooms are clean and spacious. Cleaning staff are cleaning the rooms daily to highest standards. Location of the hotel is great and closed to all amenities. Hotel is isolated well from the traffic sound. I will definitely book again. Mr Serkan was so helpful when we needed something. Ask him about the local restaurants and he will direct you to the nicest ones. Overall we had a great stay at this hotel.

Stayed here for a night. The room was spacious. The staff was great. The only reason I'm taking off one star is that the room had this odour - the carpet had been washed recently and was still wet which caused the odour. But still...

The rooms are beautiful and very clean but there was a smell of cigarette smoke but saying that the whole experience was one to relish the rooms really are spectacular and the whole hotel very friendly in whole a very very nice experience

The worst place I've ever stayed in. We booked the suite. Yes it was big, but wow it was so dirty! Filthy carpets. Leaking bath (they placed a greenish-grey turned towel to keep it from leaking, full of fungus).bathroom doors that didn't close So that was the accomodation. Service : we asked for the manager several times considering the above. Didn't show up and staff couldn't reach him not even the next day. Asked for a babybed it came at 23.:30 at night!! Asked for showergel.. Took 3 hours.. And eventually when I went to the desk.. "it's the same as the shampoo so u can use that..".. So after 2 calls and coming down to the front desk... Showergel= shampoo😅. Location : it's next to a main road so easy access but parking is very limited. Horrible experience. Never again. Will ad photos later on.

In city center, rooms are AMAZING and SPACIOUS, you don't feel like the walls are caving in, the price was super decent especially for location. Staff were helpful and extremely well mannered. Everything was super clean and smelt great. Hotel is equipped with pool, gym, spa etc. You really don't need to leave hotel if you don't want to. Will update review after I have their included breakfast. Contemplating extending our stay for another day

This place is almost a big house with a nice landlord serving the guests, most of the residence r families with kids, I was almost the sole business traveller in. Room is 70sqm or more, small balcony, aircondition that make your day. Breakfast is great, with variety of western and Turkish food, never mind the big terrace where breakfast located. In general it is 4stars hotel dressed well like a 5 stars one. Enjoy

Insanely clean room; from the bathroom to the bed. The stuff members at the desk were really friendly. I would definitely comeback again. Keep up the good service. There is only one minor thing to mention which is the plugs are TYPE F; make sure to bring you adaptor with you because the hotel wont be able to provide you with one.

Excellent Value. The hotel has the largest rooms that I have ever seen. The rooms were brand new, neat and clean and very comfortable. We stayed there as a family of 6 and had two rooms. One of the room was a triple room and it also had a sofa cum bed. The staff speaks English (a blessing in Turkey . . . ) and was very helpful. Washrooms were new and clean and provide for everything that one can need. The breakfast was good. The hotel is located very near to the Izmir airport and therefore, kind of located on the outside edge of the city which makes it very easy for day trips to Cesme and Ephesus. The only downside is that there is no restaurant. The one which serves breakfast closes off at 10 AM. However, there are plenty of coffee shops all around and a super market is located right next doors. This was great value for money and we will stay there again.

All amenities were given, rooms are spacious but the food is ok

It's one of the cleanest and nicest hotels I have stayed in Turkey. The breakfast was excellent. The check-in process was easy and fast. The location was fine, several very good quality restaurants just in walking distance.
