I
travelled
to
Ekol
for
combination
surgery
in
August
last
year.
I
was
not
nervous
at
all.
From
my
first
communication
with
Melisa
I
knew
I
would
be
going
to
Ekol.
I
felt
comfortable
with
the
information
i
received
and
the
way
my
enquiry
was
dealt
with.
When
we
arrived
at
the
airport
we
was
met
by
one
of
the
team
and
made
to
feel
welcome
and
was
taken
to
Ekol
hospital
where
again
the
team
was
there
to
welcome
us
and
show
us
our
room.
The
room
was
clean
and
ready.
My
daughter
travelled
with
me
and
was
able
to
stay
with
me
in
the
same
room
as
there
was
a
bed
for
her
too.
I
arrived
on
a
Saturday
evening
and
my
operation
was
scheduled
for
the
Monday.
I
had
numerous
tests
done
before
the
Monday
and
was
even
able
to
explore
the
area
before
my
procedure.
On
the
Monday
I
was
taken
to
meet
my
surgeon
Dr
Cenk
by
one
of
the
international
team.
Dr
Cenk
explained
the
procedure
to
me
and
although
his
English
was
good
there
was
someone
there
to
ensure
I
understood
everything
and
that
any
questions
I
had
was
understood
and
answered.
Dr
Cenk
was
very
confident
and
that
was
very
comforting
for
me.
I
was
informed
the
time
of
my
operation
and
what
to
expect
before
and
after.
After
I
had
my
operation
the
nurses
were
very
good
they
assisted
me
to
walk
as
soon
as
I
was
ready
to.
Dr
Cenk
came
to
visit
me
whilst
on
the
ward
and
on
my
discharge
day
where
he
explained
how
I
should
take
care
of
myself
whilst
at
the
hotel.
I
was
given
a
follow
up
date
and
then
Ekol
team
escorted
us
to
the
hotel.
Everything
went
well
in
the
operation
and
I
was
pleased.
However
I
developed
an
infection
and
was
worried
so
my
daughter
contacted
Funda
(head
of
the
international
team)
she
was
absolutely
amazing
throughout
my
journey
nothing
was
too
much
trouble
for
that
lady,
and
within
an
hour
Dr
Cenk’s
personal
assistant
and
one
of
the
international
team
Mehmet
was
at
the
hotel.
They
were
amazing
they
checked
me
over
and
cleaned
and
dressed
the
wounds
explaining
that
they
were
going
to
discuss
with
Dr
Cenk.
Funda
soon
messaged
us
to
say
that
the
following
morning
to
be
ready
as
they
were
going
to
collect
us
for
me
to
be
admitted
to
Ekol.
I
went
back
to
Ekol
and
was
admitted
and
immediately
given
antibiotics.
The
after
care
was
amazing,
the
nursing
staff
were
competent,
compassionate
and
understanding
of
my
needs
I
could
not
fault
them.
Mrs
Ozge
(head
of
nursing)
was
brilliant
she
took
care
of
my
wounds
and
was
thorough
in
everything
she
did
I
felt
so
confident
in
my
road
to
recovery
knowing
she
was
there
to
support
me
and
the
nurses
to
achieve
this.
Dr
Cenk
visited
me
on
the
ward
on
numerous
occasions
to
check
my
progress
and
update
me.
The
communication
throughout
the
hospital
was
fantastic.
I
can
highly
recommend
Ekol
hospital,
everyone
from
the
International
team,
nurses,
surgeon
and
even
the
domestic
team
showed
nothing
but
respect,
compassion
and
understanding.
I
have
not
one
single
fault
with
the
hospital
or
the
care
I
received
and
I
can’t
wait
to
go
back
for
my
next
surgery
I
have
planned.

I
will
be
back
very
soon.
