I
visited
Schønnemann
on
the
recommendation
of
my
uncle.
The
first
thing
that
comes
to
mind
was
the
excellent
service
and
waiting
staff.
Even
though
I
came
alone
they
came
by
often
to
discuss
their
choices
in
making
smørrebrød
compared
to
some
of
the
more
nouveau
approaches
of
Selma
et
al..
They
let
me
taste
each
snaps
with
no
pressure,
in
case
I
wanted
to
try
something
else.
It
always
felt
like
the
waiters
were
waiting
for
the
exact
right
moment
to
engage
in
small
talk
to
ask
how
I
felt
about
the
food
and
drink.
Both
the
Schønnemanns
beer
and
recommended
snaps
accentuated
the
experience
well
and
the
timeliness
and
friendliness
of
the
staff
made
the
experience
even
better.
In
terms
of
taste,
the
fried
fillet
of
plaice
was
great,
but
not
the
best
I've
ever
had,
with
an
excellent
outer
crunchyness
and
soft
interior
without
going
above
the
best.
The
Michel
Roux
tartare
was
really
what
set
the
restaurant
apart
from
the
others.
I
never
order
tartare
by
my
own
accord,
but
the
waiter's
recommendation
really
was
something
different
and
the
taste
was
nothing
less
than
amazing.
It's
really
one
of
those
things
that's
better
to
experience
than
to
hear
some
random
guy
online
rave
about
it.
Overall,
after
tasting
the
concept
and
speaking
to
the
staff,
Schønnemann
will
denifitely
be
on
my
shortlist
of
places
to
go
for
classic,
yet
slightly
modern
interpretations
of
the
Danish
favorite
open
sandwich.
