The front desk person was inattentive and rudely scrolled through her social media instead of greeting me when I checked in the night of my arrival. She saw me as I walked in the door because another guest and her child, that she had been speaking to, were about to walk out of the lobby as I opened the door. I had to walk up to the desk and speak to her first because she did not acknowledge me, even after a few seconds of standing at the desk. She talked and sang to herself more than she talked to me and dismissively placed my debit card and driver's license on the counter instead of in my hand. There was a roach in my bathroom when I arrived. I killed it and immediately ran to the convenience store around the corner to buy bug spray and bathroom cleaner. Two days later a roach from outside crawled into my room as I opened the door and I had to chase it down. The shower wasn't the cleanest, it may have been wiped down but not scrubbed. I scrubbed for myself and it was cleaner than it was when I checked in. The elevator on the left side of the building, near the bank, was a sauna. It was hotter inside than it was outside, both in the day and night times. The television itself worked just fine but the remote was missing the battery cover. The channel guide and brochure on the bed stand advertised that HBO was included but the channel did not exist. There was one day that the cable was completely frozen for most of the day. The afternoon front desk agent could not answer my question about what time housekeeping would be coming to clean my room. She was unsure and made up time that ended up being incorrect. As I left the lobby I discovered that was stuck inside, as the front door would not open when pulled. Someone from behind the desk, possibly a manager, had to yank the door open for me to leave. I'm almost certain that's a fire hazard. I chose to stay at this hotel because I am familiar with the quality of Choice Hotels and never expected to have the problems I had at this location. As a Choice Privileges member, I've experienced many stays and have never encountered noisy guests, filthy rooms, and horrible customer service. These are things that I would expect from a local motel considering the price that I paid per night. This hotel is an embarrassingly, shameful reflection of the Choice Hotels brand, as a whole. I would never recommend nor book another stay at Suburban Extended Stay Hotels.

It wasn't satisfactory. I didn't sleep well because the smell of cigarettes inside the room and the smell is the cover of everything inside the room, and I requested a non-smoker room. Dirty, yellow of the smoke was visible and very damage appliances(rusted but working--not a big deal I didn't use them), walls dirty as well. I went to Dollar Tree to buy a few quimicals to clean the bathroom, I did spray the oxigenbath cleaner and the bathtub yellow was coming out, toilet was not clean, details is important. If you are in a rush, think twice before staying there. I thought it was going to be a pleasant experience but it wasn't.

You'll probably end up changing rooms alot. One the bathroom door would lock us out. Then next we were locked out the room itself. If you have room with carpet, the carpet hasn't been cleaned in 2 of the rooms we've been in so feet turn black! The first room had mold on bed skirt and the carpet. The ac in our third room hardly works. The wifi works depending the room your in. There's no pool or ice machine. But you do have a kitchenette with a few items to cook/eat with. They do have weekly rates which is cheapest in area if you just desperately need a cheap place. They say housekeeping comes once a week but we haven't seen them in the 2 weeks we been here. Keep having to go to office to get more toilet paper or to change out towels.

This was by far the worst hotel experience ever!!! First our reservations we made, didn't reserve us a room. The room we did get there was no hot water, the toilet smell like old urine, pubic hair was in the shower and the floors were extremely sticky and dirty. I wouldn't advise a bum to stay here!!! I feel as if one star is being too generous.

Stupid, rude, and ignorant management. Update of previous review. After I contacted the management company and the hotel chain that represents them, I got little response to my complaint about the hotel not honoring my reservation, and the rude, lying staff that run the dump. They said that they were sorry that it happened. No offer to correct the problem or attempt to explain the professionalism of their staff. No offer of a discount. The topper was the personal welcome sign, with my name on the wall, but then refusing to honor my reservation.

People are nice, however the Manager is very very strict. I do appreciate that in a way since it helps clean up the establishment. The hotel is still well aged, but the employees are actually really nice and professional.

It was an okay stay. They make you feel welcomed and the staff is very friendly. The location was fine to me as well. My main issue was that in my sheets there was human hair (two different kinds) and also animal hair on the comforter which got in my mouth during the night. I call the front desk for new sheets but the office was closed... if house keeping would've just double checked the sheets and floors then I would've given it a much higher raking.

This room and whole hotel was absolutely awful. I was told by the manager that they will be remodeling soon and I really hope that it looks better the next time around. We had to change rooms numerous times it was so disgusting. She did however give me a full refund on my experience and my steak and I greatly appreciated that. To look at the hotel from the outside it looks like it is his beautiful nice hotel on the inside and that is not what I walked into.

Would give no stars. Booked over a month ahead of time. Paid for a 2 queen bed, smoking room with deep soak tub and kitchenette but I got a very very small room with one twin bed, a mini fridge that doeant work at all, have woke up several times from cockroaches falling from ceiling on me. Cant smoke in rooms and the deep soak tub is a stand up shower.....with almost no water pressure. Never rent rooms from this hotel. Stay away!!!!

Bring flip flops the carpet is disgusting. I had requested a nonsmoking room but the ashtray on the table and cigarette butt under the bed made me think smoking is optional. Don't look under the bed. I have 2 more nights and hoping the next room they give me will be better.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place has been fraudulently charging my credit cards for over 2 weeks since check out. The rooms are gross. When we checked in, there was still someone else's food in the refrigerator. The "non smoking" room reeked of smoke. The shower was leaking and sink wouldn't drain properly unless given a lot of time. The shower and bathroom walls also appeared moldy. The bed was super uncomfortable, no better than a fold out sofa bed. Linens were scratchy. You can hear wveeything going on in the rooms next to you and outside. People screaming and fighting frequently. T.v. worked though. If it hadn't been a desperate situation, I would've left and gone somewhere else. Avoid this place like the plague because there's a good chance you'll catch it there.

Sorry to say this is the worst Hotel that I have every stayed at, wish I had not. I have stayed at a lot of Suburban Hotels this is the worst Hotel I have every stayed at in my 40 years of traveling. The carpet was almost black with old gum stuck in the carpet. The shower had hair and dirt in the bottom where it had not been cleaned. Came complete with its on plunger/force pump for the toilet. Would not touch the refrigerator with out a tetanus shot there was so much rust on it, The front clerk was polite but didn't know anything kept apologizing.

I wish I could give this place -5 stars ! First day here was horrible. The room was supposed to have pots, came with one skillet and when we asked about it the front desk guy told me to jump off the highway onto the winn dixie roof and buy one. Housekeeping is terrible. Fridge had food in cracks, floors were disqusting, found a diaper under the bed. The walls are so thin you can hear housekeeping talking about how they're not going to clean the rooms. The bathroom was dirty and housekeeping hasn't knocked on the door since ive been here. Do not waste your money here, go up the street for 10-$15 extra! It's cheap here but not worth it.

When we arrived at the hotel to check in, there were other guest requesting towels and toiletries that wasn’t available in the rooms. Upon entering the room, the room was filled with gnats, the smoke detector was bleeping and the walls were filthy. We grabbed our luggage and requested a refund. We travel a lot for work and this was the most disgusting place I’ve ever seen.
