This place is a minor medical facility. It a bad place to go for Serious health issues or emergencies. It's been 4 hours and she hasn't gotten anything for pain, they run a few test. After 4 hours in waiting room we finally got in an ER bed and things are starting to happen with IVs and pain management more test. They thought it was minor enough to set in waiting room 4 hours and within 2 hours of being in ER she is in need of emergency surgery. It's been a long day today with lots of ups and downs, the staff has been awesome very helpful and very knowledgeable and has handled every situation that has happened, she is still in ICU but stable and in minimum pain. Day 4 in ICU the staff has been on top of every problem that has arisen. Day 5 we are finally out of ICU and in a room. Day 13 they are really slacking, been 6 hours and Noone has shown up to address a leaking bag after 3 notification. Day 17 the 1.5 hours of this alarm going off after a call to the nurse and a visit to the station and apparently we are not the only room. Day 21 leaving today. Well not leaving today because of the Incompetence of some of the people here. Dr's have been great and nurses have been 70 percent good and 5 percent great 25 percent I don't want around my family. All said and done this is sad to say this is best hospital in Central AR. I am still waiting on a meeting with the policy maker of the ER.

It's one of my favorite hospitals, I guess, because I'm partial as I worked here, but I'm not very pleased with the service my mother-in-law received recently. She was admitted with a minor hurting that requires an elective procedure. She was admitted with NBM, thinking the surgery would be done the next day. No Doctor came in to see her and was told by the Nurse that she could have food. Totally confused at this point, and now she is just sitting in a room doing nothing. I guess I can start taking her to another hospital. Update: (2/14/23). Doctor came in to see Mom at about 16:00 on Monday (2/6/23) and scheduled the surgery for Friday (2/10/23). Doctor was very nice and surgery went well. Still not pleased with the way the hospital handled the whole ordeal. We are all human, but need improvement in handling health protocol. Needs improvement.

Absolutely dirty and disgusting hospital! This is the dirtiest hospital I've ever seen! Been visiting a loved one for an entire week and the bathrooms have not been cleaned once! There's papertowel all over floor, trash overflowing, pee all over the toilets and dirty sinks. It's even dirty 1st thing in the morning which is how I know for a fact it's never cleaned. Cafe tables never get cleaned, floors are dirty and sticky and seats have food all over them. We had to get wipes and clean the seats and tables ourselves just to sit down and eat. The custodial staff is rarely seen and when you do see then, they just laugh and talk. We had to request our loved one's floor to be swept and the custodian still left trash under the chairs and had to be called back. I don't know how they haven't been shut down. This is a hospital! They should be spic and span clean!

Our 89 year old uncle was there for testing following dizzy spells at his assisted living facility. The care he received while there was excellent but when it came time to send him back, instead of allowing him to dress in the clothes his niece had brought him, they sent him back in pajama bottoms and a hospital gown!!! They didn't even have the decency to send his clothes with him!! Then they dared to call and demand that we drive two hours to pick them up. The personnel that deal with the rooms in the 920s need a wake up call.

The floors, the walls , filthy.6b would not recommend to my worst enemy.Unsanitary. Not the Baptist of yesteryear. Things have changed for the worst. What are they doing. My family member is a patient on this floor. Not saying anything bad about the staff, but cleanliness should be a big part of overall care. Former employee not a bitter woman been retired for years. Seems like they are using this floor for the low income my daughter doesn't fit in this category. Not to say that everyone doesn't deserve the same treatment. My daughter says the staff is wonderful.

My brother-in-law is in ECCU. He had a double heart attack. Dr Rodriguez saved his life. I am so impressed with his care. The doctors and nurses are exceptional. He is still critical but making small improvements.

The absolute worse experience of my life, with the cafeteria taking over a day of a 2 and half stay to get my food allergies correct to a doctor not knowing how to check ears as he wasn't ent but he was a general doctor so should know how to look for ear infections. One doctor didn't know what the other was doing. Now some nurses were good and a couple of the food people were kind, but the rest.....I had to suffer from severe pain bc the doctor wouldn't come into my room until almost 9 at night. I woke up at 1 am that day with the pain. I have had 2 horrible experiences with hospitals and they both were this hospital 7 years apart. You would think it would change for the better after 7 years but it actually got worse.

This is my first experience with this hospital and from what I have seen, they are short staffed in the ICU of all places! My sister-in-law is a patient there and her care has been subpar. Her doctors are not listening to her and her nurse seems to be worn thin from running around from one patient to the next. There seems to be no urgency in attending her needs, or at least not as much as it should be. I’ve never seen and ICU like this. While we were visiting, she had an accident. It took almost an hour and a half for the nurse to finally come in and clean her and change her sheets. No one deserves to be treated like this. I believe it’s because she is a black woman that she’s being treated this way.

Hospital have not been the same since CoVid. Most nurses are dead or retired. Little hospitals got it much worse and I didn’t feel safe. I came here. Sure. It’s not paradise but they are doing better than the rest. The young man was very nice in the ER and that’s not what I’ve come to expect from ERS. I like here and made it my place. I got lots of health problems

my Dr ordered a muscle biopsy a Dr At Baptist stepped in after a MRI an said “I see something and I want to do a bone biopsy” my Dr still wants a muscle biopsy, I go for what I think is a muscle biopsy but no it’s bone, I tell them no muscle,we go around and around Dr comes in and tells me this is SO bad and I need this biopsy (the needle is the size of a pencil) they are ready to stick me, but they have to do an MRI to guide it, but guess what? There is NOTHING THERE We are sorry, you can go home!!! BUT guess what they did the right biopsy the very next day first thing, AND they want to blame my Dr for all of this, I wish I could leave my phone # I would love to tell people about this place, my wife lost 2 days of work instead of just 1, and got reprimanded for it (gas-for two days 80 miles one way) and still want to charge me for the first MRI, NO compensation ($180) BAPTIST SUCKS

I’m visiting my brother who has been in neurology ICU on the 8th fl for 11 days and I gotta say this is the most disgusting treatment I’ve ever seen. He hasn’t been cleaned once just wipes. The smell is so bad the dr wore a mask… they continue to drug him to sleep. They will kill him if this continues.

I gave a birth here twice once in 2019 and again in 2021 during covid time. The labor and delivery nurses and care team are amazing. They made sure I was taken care of and they made sure I felt comfortable in every step. My family wasn’t allowed to be in the labor and delivery room for the second time because of covid time but care team took care of me so well, I felt very comfortable giving birth without my family. I came back here to leave a review after 2 years to thank you so much. My two beautiful children are growing healthy because of them :)

I’ve heard rumors and read other reviews that this was a horrible place but I guess I had to see for myself. The entire system here is a pain. The triage nurse is one I would hope to never run into again, she’s the first person you see and really gives the rest of the staff a bad look. I wanted to leave after meeting with her. The MD was cool and so was my nurse but you can tell they try to rush you. The MD gave me a referral or suggested to follow with another specialist but the trouble I’m having to just do that is beyond me! It’s very difficult and can cause you to really lack much needed care and I’m not even elderly! The healthcare system here really, really sucks and one hesitant to use.

Got here at 7am no one waiting in the waiting room. Other people showed up 30 to 60 minutes after. Finally just now got to a room. The room had not been cleaned since the last patient which I heard them say it was before last night. You would think that with the Covid and others things cleaning would be done after each visit.

1 star was for the txting updates that I got while my husband was in surgery for a mass on his kidney!!! After that I wouldn’t have enough space or want to take the time to explain the pathetic experience we had. We always put Baptist high on a list of hospitals. I could have went to a charity hospital and got better care!! When he was put in recovery I never heard another word. After a good while I went to find out he went to a room on the 6th floor! Walked in and he had already eat and been wondering where I was!! REALLY!! Needless to say things kept going downhill from there. Rude nurse. Stayed in a bloody gown til we left! No shower! No washcloths, towels. Rain came in the windows! Not the end but I’ll stop here. Thank God we were only there 1 night.

Been in the ER since 11:30 am waiting for Daughter to be seem it's now 2:54 pm very unhappy. No test ran nothing just waiting. However the staff is very happy as they laugh and talk in the hallways. SMH

My wife has been here 3 times over the last 3 weeks. the first two trips, they were extremely helpful, and even found she had some sort of intestinal infection on the second trip there. this last trip, which happened last night, she went because she was feeling the same burning sensation in her stomach that lead to the previous second visit, only for the doctor to not really care, say that there was no entries in their computers about her having an intestinal infection, and even say that it was probably just in her head, and then discharged her. Whether her intestinal infection wasn't entered into her files at the hospital, or this "doctor" was just too lazy to actually check for them, both are very bad looks for this hospital.

I have been here many times over the years for 1 reason or another. This is the place my daughter was born. My mother was hospitalized here. I was here 9 days, 6 of it in ICU. This is the hospital that we choose out of the others.

I’ve had to deal with a lot of health care professionals over the years and I have to say Baptist hospital has some of the best staff. I had an L4:5 fusion done on July 10 and the night nurse Kristen was fantastic. She made me feel comfortable and makes sure I needed everything I needed. Also Donte was an excellent helper when I needed to use the restroom or when he was checking my vitals. I was impressed with his professionalism. You don’t see male helpers that have the care and eagerness to help a patient very often. I’m highly impressed with the staff but I’m also impressed with Dr. Blake Phillips. He is by far the best Nerosurgeon around Arkansas. Baptist hospital will always be my number one hospital to go to for any needs I have. Thank you

I would like for Baptist to comment on this review since I noticed they only comment on 5 star reviews and not the 1 star ones. The lack of transparency is displayed. Last night my husband and I were at the ER from 7pm-3:30am due to blood in the stool which the causes left untreated, are detrimental. We were in the waiting room for SEVERAL hours with no knowledge of the blood work results that was collected. We asked the front desk attendant for an estimate on how much longer we would need to wait since tomorrow is a work day and we would need to adjust our schedules accordingly. She brushed off our concern and told us that "she doesn't know and she has no form of communication between the front desk and with the nurses station." Many hours later, we were called in with no answer to his problem sending us home with prescriptions and a F/U appt. I'm very disappointed to know that a hospital with such reputation nationwide would have poor customer service and a lack of communication. The value and mission statement presented on their website demonstrate a false proclamation compared to the reality we had to experience. I recognize that my testimony isn't the only one that demonstrates the lack of health care and guest service we went through. Multiple people have taken their time to inform the public about their incident making it aware of the lack of professionalism this hospital exhibits. Evidence shows that the BHMC (Owner) under the google account only praise the 5 star reviews and neglecting all the 1 star reviews. It's completely unethical for a health care center- a hospital- to dismiss such issues that are and will becontinuing to be revealed if no act of change comes in the near future. If the google account BHMC doesn't respond to this comment, my case will be proven rested.

My husband was in the icu unit for a couple days and there we had a great experience. Once moved to the fifth floor his care diminished almost completely we asked to talk to his Dr as he was not scheduled to come in and instead they called the Dr and got him discharged. The discharge nurse didn't even bring a wheelchair in and only asked in a snotty manner if he wanted one after I stated that he should be getting wheeled out. I do not recommend Baptist at all go to conway if you get the choice. Also he was not the only one to be discharged from that floor and left to walk out in their own we met another lady in the elevator that had a bad experience with that floor.
