MoD is an EXCELLENT place of discovery for young minds! Even us 'old people' enjoyed it! The admjssion cost is $10 for adults. Children under 13, Military, seniors and educators are $8. There are soooooo many hands-on stations that it will take you 2-3 hours with interested kids, or 1 hour with smaller minds. However, there is a toddler tumble area where ypungins can play and parents can sit and watch. We are 50 years old parebts with two teens and we enjoyed the hands-on, interactive learning stations. Each one seemed to encourage competition to see who could balance the longest, squeeze the hardest, lift the most weight, or react thw quickest. As we left, my son realized he lost his earbuds, but some honest person found and turned them into the front desk. Thank you. MoD is a great time and we'll worth the $$$. Afterwards, head across the street to the Flying Fish! Read my review and hit the "like" button if helpful. Thanks! Brian Hargis Local Guide

Our 3 and 2 yr old had a blast!!! They could've stayed there all day until they collapsed from overstimulation! Haha I especially appreciated the 6 and Under section. Amazing imagination play set ups from full scale grocery store, vet clinic, to camp grounds complete with a pretend fishing pond! If we were local to the area, we would be here every weekend!

Entered with my entire family and refused service due to not wearing a mask. I have asthma and am not able to wear one. The disgusting way in which this uncompromising place acted about it when there were people wearing their masks as chinstraps within a few feet of the entrance was unacceptable.

Science museum has 2 levels, kept my kids age 2-11 engaged. Body systems room showed heartbeat, sneezes, lungs, tested grip strength and balance with fun activities and a lot of hands on learning. Under age 6 room had giant building blocks, dance studio, pretend vet clinic and an area to bounce, climb, and slide. Model Dino bones let kids touch and feel the "fossils" this was a huge hit with my kids.... so much more, plan a solid afternoon for this one with hopes to return! This one was affiliated with our children's museum, so check your membership to see if your entry is covered.

The Museum of Discovery is a great place for people of all ages. The interactive exhibits are both fun and educational. Highly recommend bring your family down here for a day of fun and excitement while you discover dinosaur bones, ancient mayan ruins, and even mysteries of the body.

Enjoyable for my toddler and teen. We visited MOD during our visit to Arkansas and this was a worth while stop. My teen is a great sport showing his toddler sister activity zones, as well as enjoyed a few of the activities like the pulley weight. Tons of great hands on learning for my toddler, she spent so much time in the soft play area, and everything was SO clean! Much appreciated. My son built a Lego house for his little sister with life size Lego blocks, the grocery store and vet clinic were very realistic. The xray machine for the animals was so cute, and there were plenty of stuffed animals to play with. There was a lot to see and do! Bathrooms were clean. There are nursing mom areas. Very family friendly!

We went last week right after school until the museum closed at 5p. It worked out really well because the kids got a couple hours with basically the museum to themselves. As always the museum was clean, the kids had a great time, and the exhibits were new since we hadn't visited in a while. Our 6 year old and 4 year old especially liked the exhibit where they had to find ciphers and decode them to light up the treasure. A big shout out to Lindsey, who came over and helped us finish the puzzle, and even had some "real" treasure for the kids when they finished. Thank you, Lindsey! You made their day. We look forward to renewing our season passes when the time comes. It pays for itself after a couple visits, and it's so nice to be able to go whenever we want (especially at the end of a school day when it's not busy).

My wife and I took our 3 year old son here and he absolutely loved everything here! We spent about 3.5 hours here going to each room. The little kids room with the giant Legos was a huge hit. I really appreciate how this museum helps make learning fun as well as cultivating the natural curiosity in all children that come here. My family will be returning here again in the future.

My kids all had such a blast here! We went during school hours so it wasn't crowded either which was perfect for our son with autism. There was literally something for everyone!

Great place to bring kids of all ages! There’s a ton of things to do, and you wouldn’t even tell from the outside. From live animals like ferrets and birds, to a pretend grocery store, and a science station! Honestly something for everyone, even us adults. I particularly liked building the space shuttles with different parts and testing if they’d fall apart!

This museum was very interactive. Children would have a great time here. Improvements could be more sanitizer stations because the exhibits are VERY hands on. We liked the experiments. Some exhibits needed more or better explanations. For the price, it is a value. Be aware right now the construction makes navigating to the museum very difficult.

Went on $1 Sunday...which is great and obviously worth it. Surprised wasn't too busy, so kids could play without much wait or even at all. Staff super polite and nice with kids. Overheard parents saying the place improved over last time they went. Anyway, great place to bring family.

This is a must! We were there for over 4 hours and the kids had a blast! A 5 and 3 year old. They were entertained for all four hours! I was super impressed at the prices. $10 for kids and $12 for adults. There is a parking garage one block up so that was also super convenient. Inside was a comfortable temperature. It is March so it was cold and rainy outside but inside the building is very comfortable. We went on a Sunday and got there a little after they opened at 1 and it never felt over crowded. You can have private birthday parties there also. There is no food, snacks or drinks of any kind to buy there. At least not that I saw and we walked the entire upstairs and downstairs. Bathrooms were pretty clean, spacious and nice looking. Loved it! Such a great place to take kids! No lines, no waiting.

I recommend this place. It is a fun place to spend most of a day with kids. It wasn't very crowded on the Saturday we went so we enjoyed everything offered. Don't miss out on the Tesla coil if it's operating!

My girls spent 3.5 hours here exploring all the different stations. There was also a short live presentation on vortexes and how they worked. Great activity for a rainy morning.

We have been lucky to visit quite a few Children’s Museums from Denver, New Orleans, and Fort Worth and this ranks as one of the best. Easy access from downtown and activity areas for just kids under 6 and plenty of activity areas for kids up to 16. Easily could spend three to four hours here with exhibits that can be fun for the parents to work with the kids as well. Future plans have a bright future here and it will be fun to see the advancement of this museum.

This is an amazing place to stop during a long trip with the kids. We brought a 2 and 4 year old and they loved this place. There are so many little things for them to do and look at. It's not super crowded, loud, or intimidating like some children's places can be. Basically everything here is interactive except for the dinosaur room. Guaranteed to wear them out.

Great time with the kiddos. All three of my kids had a blast from my ten month old to five year old. My wife and I had a blast! Would recommend. Our Fort Worth Science museum pass worked here since both museums are part of the same network. A very pleasant surprise!

The museum may be aimed more toward kids but I absolutely had a blast. There’s activities for all ages to enjoy. Very clean facility and decent staff. My two & 1/2 year old enjoyed every part of the facility. We even learned she only has 2 pints of blood in her body!

The coolest experience ever.. must defined try in you are ever in Little Rock. This is a hands on science museum with a musical Tesla coil, great exhibitions and animals (even chinchillas).

  • 5/5 Hope B. 2 years ago on Google
It IS a great place to bring kids of any age, but I went on a special adults-only night and had a blast! It was about a year ago, but I remember that they had an amazing birds-of-prey exhibit with multiple handlers and several live birds. Lots of other cool stuff too and tasty margaritas!

  • 5/5 Igor V. 2 years ago on Google
Very cool place for younger people. Tons of hands on exhibits. The "fire" presentation at the theater and a snake feeding was an extra bonus. Also, the staff is exceptionally friendly.

  • 1/5 Maurie V. 7 months ago on Google
The website says that parts of the museum may be closed due to renovations when it actually should have said that half, literally half, of the museum was closed for renovation. Half of the upstairs and half of the downstairs is completely closed off because of whatever changes / improvements they are making. It would have been nice to know that going in. I guess I just expected something more lively and entertaining than what was presented. Hopefully the renovations are updates to make this place more exciting.

  • 4/5 Tim B. 1 year ago on Google
Tons of fun for younger kids. It can be fairly overwhelming on the weekends or if a school group is in. It gets very loud and very busy if you visit at peak times.

  • 4/5 Terri T. 1 year ago on Google
I went to get the tornado experience. I've never been in one. It was different than watching YouTube videos, but still can't fathom the size. This experience was people talking about it and sounds, no actual seeing the 🌪. The noise did bother a few of the small children in the basement, I sat and watched it twice just so I could hear what the 'victims' were saying.

I've been here many times for free; whenever I donate blood, I typically get a ticket to come here, and I do so happily; my six-year-old daughter loves this place, and it's easy to see why. There's always something new going on. You can come here a few times a year and have a unique experience with each visit.

  • 3/5 Tera H. 11 months ago on Google
For the size and what it is the museum was great. The reason for 3 stars is there’s so many things that don’t work there. The tornado room though I love it !

  • 5/5 Nicholas N. 8 months ago on Google
Great place for kids to learn science. Both of my kids had a blast. The only downside was that a good portion of the first floor was being updated. Would recommend for any family visiting Little Rock.

Nice place for kids to learn and explore, different activities and stations to visit even during Covid. A hand sanitizer station is on just about every corner, and the bathrooms and doors are equipped with a special sticker that continues to disinfect continuously (never saw that before so that was cool), so as you and the next person touch it, you can worry a little less. Bathrooms were clean, and I especially was impressed with the gentleman who informed us on a few of the animals they house there (loved the possum ❤). My only dislike is due to covid I couldn't snuggle her because she was definitely a hugger! ❤

  • 4/5 Lauren F. 5 years ago on Google
This place was great for both adults and kids. The different exhibits were really neat and while kids' attention spans are short and they're moving on to something else, the material is interesting enough to make the adults linger. My 8yo is obsessed work tornadoes right now so he loved the "tornado room" where you sit in a room they has a simulated tornado going on outside. Good family trip. We'll definitely be back!

This museum was really fun. I took my 5 year old and she had a blast. I love how they had smaller rooms to help divide up the space. And it wasn't so big that you were exhausted after or felt like you didn't get to see enough. We got to see at least half of every room. We will definitely be going back if we're back in the area.
