I took my wife here on our vacation, and let me just say this... When your wife does the "happy food dance" at the first bite, you are probably going to get lucky. The food was amazing from start to finish, she's ranked this her number 2 spot that we've been to (mind you that's competing with places literally 3x expensive). The food quality for the price is excellent, I spent $119 including the tip, for arguably the best food we've ever had. Also our server Jamar was top notch. He knew the menu, didn't over complicate it, gave us the history of the company, very attentive, fast, friendly and professional. If you dine here (which you should if you're in Jacksonville) ask for Jamar.

The fried broccoli appetizer was AMAZING! Me and my husband both loved them. If you’re looking for a 100% family friendly restaurant visit Copelands. They were great in service and food. It was our first time trying them. Will most definitely go back and try different items on the menu.

I love Cajun food and Copeland’s did not disappoint! The food was as authentic as being right in New Orleans! I was happily surprised by that. The server, Candace, was so attentive and very helpful when it came to making food suggestions. I really enjoyed my visit to the restaurant. I shall surely return again!

Copelands was especially accommodating for my guests tonight. We had a large party celebrating a birthday and they allowed us to use the new patio area. The service was great, our waiter Luke was really good and took care if the large party perfectly. We will definitely be going back! Food was great! The chef came to our table and made a special dish for my hubby who’s birthday we were celebrating. We were just treated with great service and my hubby felt very special!

First time here. The outside of the building looks old style New Orleans. The oysters were delicious. The food came out hot and fresh. I had the Woo Woo cocktail sweet and it had a bite. Woo Woo 😀. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. Yes, I had to get coffee to sober up LOL 😆. I cheated on my diet for the cheesecake, yes it was all that

I’ve been a regular here for many years. I just enjoy this spot. It’s a great place to meet new people when sitting at the bar. The staff is always attentive and helpful. Happy hour is the best. Try the martinis! Anytime I have had an issue with food, the chef has personally came out to speak to me and make sure the kitchen gets the next order right. Love this place 💕

So this evening I decided to have copelands delivered. Not many quality dishes travel well in my opinion but I ordered 2 dishes. Tomato Basil Chicken and Grilled Chicken With Yams. Both dishes were divine and hefty portions. Great value, great food. So much flavor in both dishes. They knocked it out of the park.

I order the Hot crab claws. They were ok. I would not say it was the best. I always order these in Louisiana but this is the first time I have ordered them and the claws were tough. I couldn't get the meet off. Also my water had something green in it and didn't notice it until I was halfway through it. Not a good experience.

Nice atmosphere. Came for my friend’s celebration. Our server was nice. Although they forgot a couple of our drinks and appetizers. And they gave one person chicken tenders when they actually ordered catfish. The Mac and cheese is not good at all. I tried both the white and red sangria and both were delicious! Although my gumbo was lukewarm at best… the rue was tasty but I wished they used fresh shrimp and crawfish instead of bagged ones. The garlic bread was delicious not included but should be. Lastly I tried the crab baguettes…also lukewarm but very stuffed with crab…in which I enjoyed! Tables should be offered bread (just saying). And I caught another server rolling their eyes at us because we I guess was celebrating too hard for his liking. I enjoyed myself but please heat the food better!

Food is a signature New Orleans flavor, crawfish on point, shrimp overcooked though, banana foster French toast 😋, daiquiri keeps you cool, or server was absent tee🥴, says she's only been serving since last year... Girl, 👎! But I still really enjoyed my first visit for brunch. It won't be my last.

Food was Luke warm, including the chargrilled oysters you can tell from the pictures they weren’t chargrilled properly or long enough (same with the Rockefeller). Shrimp didn’t look fresh in the dishes my friends had, looked like frozen pack shrimp. I just expect a bit more of an upscale dining experience for the prices paid.

I definitely recommend for a weekend brunch. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The food was delicious. I went on a Saturday, they had an omelette and waffle station available.

Dined with a party of 15... very last minute and they were able to accommodate us. The staff was very friendly. Shout out to our server Jordan W. She provided EXCELLENT service to our party. She was polite, kept everyone's drinks refilled, she communicated with us. We had a small issue with the kitchen and she handled it quickly. I'd like to also add that she was our ONLY waitress and she handled our large party BEAUTIFULLY. The food was good and well seasoned. The drinks were also delicious. The guy walking around with the guitar kept it interesting. All in all great experience 🙌🏽

I always love going to this restaurant..Their drinks are on point. I didn’t see my usual plate so I never had catfish so I gave it a try it was the fried catfish with shrimp sauce on top and the fish on a bed of red smashed potatoes…I liked it ….i would get it again if they allow me to have the fish over rice instead cause the mashed potatoes made the bottom of the fried fish soggy …so I just took the fish off and enjoyed the dinner the fish itself is a 5 star…can’t wait to go back again…

Starting from the hostess to the waitress and chef the food had great taste, plenty to choose from. The place was nicely arranged and they had plenty of tables, but looking from my point of view they were short of tables. The food had to be cooked with plenty of care for their costumers The bathroom was really clean. The parking lot was full with sufficient handicap spaces The price however was a bit expensive after tax and gratuity it was close to $50.00 But let me say this, the Waffles are great and the seafood let me say this I am looking forward to my next visit.

Wow, Gabby was a very attentive server she was super nice and answered our questions. Our meal was out of this world 🌎. I usually like to eat half of my meal so I can have the rest for lunch the next day. Nope, I just couldn't stop it was that good!

The food was very interesting. Some items were amazing but a few others did not impress. The place was not very busy so our server, although very sweet and pleasant, was a little overwhelmed. I'd try this establishment again to try and narrow down a favorite. Definitely worth another visit. P.s. they have a signature drink called Crash and Burn... it's delicious if you don't mind a fruity drink.

Copelands is always a positive dining experience for us. It has consistently excellent service, knowledge waitstaff, and delectable food. The menu is small, and it is definitely time to be updated with at least one plant-based option, but I managed to make a tasty diy meal out of sides. They also have happy hour drink and appetizer specials.

First time at this restaurant and it was my birthday 🎂 enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The only disappointment was the crab cakes was a little too doughy, you couldn't taste the crab in it. However, everything else was Delicious.

We went for the Sunday brunch buffet. I usually hate those, but my friend insisted it was great. I wish I had a bigger stomach. Everything was delicious. The man running the omelette station was a tad bit rude, but whatever. I can’t wait to go back! Edit: I went back…it was not what it was the first time, which I’m stating to think was a fluke. Plus, our waitress bullied us into a tip and she didn’t even do anything.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Our waitress was so nice in helping us navigate the menu and answered every question in great detail. We ordered the Crab stuffed beignets, spinach & artichoke dip, the seafood platter and the crab cake and shrimp Alfredo but I added broccoli to it. We will definitely come back and tell everyone how great the experience was.

I was very much looking forward to stopping in as part of a trip to Jax today. First, the service was fine. Our waitress was friendly and worked to keep us happy. Atmosphere was ok, even though we got a booth with the leather upholstery broken open. Otherwise, the facility was clean. I had the andouille red beans and rice. The serving size was fine, but honestly, the taste was lacking. It was kinda bland. The Copelend hot sauce helped, but not enough. The Mrs & MIL went to the buffet. In general, they were pleased. My look at the layout pushed me back to the menu. Maybe I set my expectations for this visit a bit too high and I was underwhelmed with the results. Oh, and they didn't have beignets on the menu. I was very sad.

Me: Eggplant Perouges pasta dish was delicious and cooked perfectly. Him: Fire roasted chicken with mashed yams was great. But, should have opted for fried onions instead of sauted, as our waitress suggested as an option. ** Extra: If you're looking for bread while you wait, the biscuits cost extra, which I didn't remember from a previous visit to a New Orleans location. But our waitress helped us to 2 free buttered biscuits, anyways - so nice! Coke drinks were not sweet, an issue I never brought up. We were seated by the bathrooms and kitchen, which I do not recommend. The other half of the restaurant is much more quiet and appealing. * note to self.

One of my lunch mates and I had the Holiday Special buffet and the other two ordered from the menu. None of us experienced anything beyond barely eatable food. From the buffet the salmon was over-cooked, burned not blackened, and the turkey was dry and tasted as if it’d been cooked a long while ago. From the menu the crab cakes tasted like bread crumbs and the entire plate was crème colored and unappetizing. I guess you can’t go too wrong with salad, so that was okay covered in dressing. As if the food wasn’t bad enough, the restaurant seems to not have been renovated since it opened some 30 years ago. I was not inspired to take pictures of the food, although I now wish I had, but I did take a picture of a booth I could see from mine, where they seated people regularly having made no attempt at repair.
