We visited again and boy!! What a change in service!! The whole team came out to deliver our food each time.. just a lovely presentation! Definitely changes with how management is doing things and I love it!! The food was very good! Medium rare plus Filet with juices seasoned with thyme and garlic. Bourbon Bacon Jam as our steak sauce. Scalloped potatoes with bacon pieces. Wedge salad with a wonderful blue cheese dressing. We had drinks on the roof then headed down for our reservation. Even though a cloudy day, nice views of the Main St Bridge and downtown and a cool breeze to enjoy.

I've eaten there several times for only special occasions. But they make it special each time with great food, my favorite ribeye and seafood tower, and friendly service. This time I tried the lamb chops and for the first time I saw bone marrow on the menu so I had to try it. Lamb cooked perfectly medium, great sauce. She crab soup was tart, but I would tell them to hold the onions as I feel it doesn't add to the dish, besides the crab itself. Only glitch was I had reservations for 8 pm (made weeks in advance) and a server didn't come to our table til 830. I understand staff shortage due to a party on the roof, but it's good my table partner stopped a staff and asked when a server would greet us else who knows how long we would've waited. They did admit no servers were assigned to our table which is why we waited so long. Would definitely go back, as it's the only glitch I've experienced out of many visits. Food is still impeccable.

We came from Orlando to watch a show at the Florida theatre last night and needed to eat beforehand but wanted to stay close so as to avoid any issues with traffic or parking. We walked around the area and stumbled upon Cowford and we could not be more pleased. We opted to wait for a table on the rooftop which was a fantastic choice as the sunset views were beautiful. The service (Mike) was impeccable and the food noteworthy enough for me to write a review (not something I do often). I ordered the fish of the day and my husband ordered the salmon with a side of the au gratin potatoes. The Cucumber Collins was delicious and to wrap it up we enjoyed the pear dessert very much. My Husband and I don’t get out much (maybe one or two date nights a year) and this was one of the best ever. Can not say enough great things about this restaurant. Obviously, we highly recommend it!!!

The food and service were phenomenal. A perfect date night. We had the bone-in rib eye with a baked potato and macaroni & cheese - all delicious. We appreciated that staff took care to get us out in time for the concert we were in town to see. The 2nd floor seating was very intimate & quiet, and the rooftop has gorgeous views. Pick your vibe! Very happy with our visit, highly recommend.

Cowford's is the place to go for a special treat in your life. The Caesar salads are perfectly blended and oh so fresh. The steaks are all USDA Prime and ever so tender. They are prepared over a wood fire grill which adds depth and dimension and a delicious taste that can't be beat. The service is top tier and everyone is attentive and keeps your glass filled without asking. The alcoholic drinks are second to none. Perfectly made and served in unique glasses. Desserts are equally delicious. Definitely worth coming here. Expect to spend about 300 to 400 dollars for a couple.

After trying to decide between checking out Matthew's or this place I chose Cowford since it was within walking distance of my hotel. The decor in this place is fabulous and it definitely is the hot spot to be from what I could see sitting at cigar lounge next door earlier during the day. I came later in the evening for dinner and wanted my meal to be great but it just didn't hit the mark. While my waygu was very flavorful the kitchen undercooked it. I don't like sending steaks back but I couldn't tolerate it after eating a few pieces. The staff took it back to have it cooked up as it was entered into the system and it came back out cooked to my liking but of course I loss the pieces I had cut off. When spending almost $100 for a piece of meat I just expect a different experience for their mistake. To add the front house manager offered to take my risotto back to kitchen, so that it would not get cold only to bring me out what looked like soup afterwards. Totally disappointed I was not offered any discount, comp drinks or desert just a simple thanks for joining us. I don't mind paying for a good meal and most times when a steakhouse like this makes a mistake cooking your steak they do their best to make things right. This place did not in my opinion. I will say the cocktail was very delicious and the bar staff very nice but my expectations was not met.

Beautiful rooftop! The food and drinks were good. Had the seasonal veggies and roasted bone marrow. Both were tasty. Strawberry lemonade cocktail was yummy! I think that's what it was....it had some kind of herb in it. Basil maybe. Not a big fan of basil, but I liked it.

It was our first, unfortunately the Restaurant was booked, so we ended up sitting at 2nd floor’s bar, with Kim, she was knowledgeable about the menu👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻made me a Margarita drink and non alcohol for my husband. We started off with soup, and it was divine!!!! My husband’s fillet mignon was so tender that you would think it was a wagyu! Still salivating..yum!!!!😊 Our first experience was amazing! Looking forward to our next visit and this time I will definitely make a reservation! Thanks Kim for the company!!!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Looking for a night out with that special someone well this is the place. The food, service and ambience was great. The steaks are expensive but so worth the price. These are not your Outback steaks the steaks at Cowford are top of the line. We had a wonderful evening with friends and our server Donnie was top notch. It was a pleasure because we felt very welcome as "walk ins". Eventhough we sat at the bar we had a wonderful evening with a great service and wonderful food. My mom was thrillerd with the oysters and then we all were thrilled with the filet mignon. And that they had fois gras on the menu. But the best thing was that it was not as loud as other places so it was very easy to talk to your folks and others if wanted!!!!

Came for a private event held on their rooftop. The service was top notch from the food to the bartending. I can not comment on the meals off the menu, however I will tell you the house old fashions where amazing. Thank you to all the servers that helped make the event perfect.

Awesome experience, we went for my fiancés birthday and everything was good. Recommend the shrimp, creamed corn, and the Au gratin potatoes! Everything was good, no complaints- fast seating didn’t have to wait after our reservation time. Steak was cooked to our liking. Spendy but worth it!

What an amazing birthday dinner! 40oz porterhouse, A5 imported waygu, foie gras with bacon jam, duck fat cornbread with crab and lobster, bone marrow, house made ice cream flight and creme brulee... Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had! Smoking hot date to boot... Next time you want to treat yourself, please do it here!

The food was great, the rooftop bar was a little warm...not ideal for summer but I bet it's worth it when temperatures moderate. There was a slight service hiccup. I do plan to go back.

Cowford was the best fine dining experience I have ever had. I went on my birthday. Placed at my table was a birthday card which I thought was so kind & thoughtful. They have complimentary valet parking which is a plus in that neighborhood where parking is scarce. Our waiter was so knowledgeable on the champagne and food which was impressive. I felt like I was on a tour. They even bring hot towels to your table before you eat. Phenomenal!! The food amazing and I can tell the chef takes pride in his dishes. First time having a tomahawk steak and it was worth every penny.

Business dinner for a group of 8. Tough choice between a 5 and 4 rating. Food was good, my mostly out-of-town colleagues were raving. Still a bit overpriced to me. Their “swarming” delivery and takeaway service was impressive, but overall service was slow considering there weren’t that many tables being served. The historic building is really cool, the rooftop bar is great. They have a good system of triaging their parties for bar, seating, service. In other words, you can only sit at the downstairs bar so as not to crowd the dining area. GREAT for entertaining and impressing people. Just bring your patience and go with the flow if a good dinner.

Easily one of the best steakhouses I've been to. Service was top-notch; I loved the train of servers bringing out everything at once and then "fading" away. The building itself is appealing with different floors having different seating/bars. The food--EXCELLENT! No matter what item I ordered or tasted from others' dishes (at my table 😏) was fantastic and flavorful. It's pricey, yes, but for special occasions I'd highly recommend it.

Okay sooooo I’m one of these people that order a bit of everything to really get a feel of the food. I can honestly say that nothing I order was subpar! The food was a great but the service was EXCELLENT! Our server Rebecca made this a meal to remember.

The place itself is beautiful and everyone was super nice until we went up to the roof to sit at the bar and the bartender Tanner was unpleasant. He was very rude and seemed like he had a very big ego. He was rude to his own coworker and gave her attitude for absolutely no reason. He made a comment about the rain and how he thought he was going to get to go home early because it was going to rain in from if customers. Very unprofessional. However, the food was amazing and the rest of the bar staff was amazing.

It was our first time tonight celebrating my husbands birthday. When we first came in the greeting was underwhelming, but was quickly revived by the ambiance and the kind young lady who sat us. Christopher M. was our waiter and he was phenomenal. My husband finds it hard to give good tips but he was excited to give Christopher a good one after such a pleasant evening. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was amazing. Plus the valet (just one guy I think!?) was quick and friendly. Thank you for a great night and the birthday dessert!

My husband loves a good steak, so I took him for his birthday. The place is stunning, the service was impeccable, and the rooftop was nice as well. Well worth the experience. Hubby said it was one of the best steaks he's had!

This restaurant came highly recommended by friends so this review is disappointing to write. The service was stellar but the food was disappointingly underwhelming. The sides we ordered (risotto, kale and spinach, and brussel sprouts) lacked any seasoning, like no salt or pepper at all. The bone-in ribeye steak was just ok. The cinnamon roll brulee was phenomenal though as I've never had anything like it. I hate to say it but for the price point I expected better and won't be back. 😞
