🕚 It was one of the very few places opened after 9pm. 🍕Pizza was good! Specifically Meat Lowers pizza. 🧑‍🍳 Stuff was very friendly and helpful! And it looks like bunch of famous people visited this place, given how many autographs they have on the walls.

Found this place walking in the rain downtown. The pizza smelled glorious from two blocks away. I was welcomed in and my order was take promptly. I decided to stay and eat in. It was so peaceful, soft music, the rain and great food. Definitely going back. Often

Absolutely loved this place!! It’s a hole in the wall. Angie, the server, and Sam, the chef and owner of this lovely restaurant were so delightful!! We were immediately greeted and were told to sit wherever we would like :) Sam came up to us immediately and made us feel like we were at home. You can tell he was passionate about his job! I Angie was also so kind and asked us if we had any questions about the menu. The food was amazing, truly homemade— everything fresh and from scratch. The chef personally came up to us as we were eating asking if we liked the food! It felt like a great atmosphere, I truly enjoyed everyone’s friendliness there. I eat out quite a bit and you don’t see that a lot anymore!! By far one of the best experiences I have ever had when going out, truly!! I’ll be letting all my friends know around town to come check this wonderful place out 😄 I’ll definitely be back!!

My daughter and I walked from the Hyatt looking for something to eat. Trying to find good Italian food outside of New York isn’t easy to find.. Got a chesse slice and the lasagna. It was very good. The owner was super nice. The photos with customers that lined the walls definitely gave it a NY vibe. Would definitely recommend.

This place just makes you feel like home as soon as you walk in. The service is undeniably perfect: the entire team really care about their clients and it shows by the way they interact with you. The service was perfect, on top of being an authentic Italian Restaurant with fresh, home-made food. Big mention for the meatballs, they are simply amazing! But honestly, everything tasted so delicious and I can't wait to go back for more.

Great experience at the restaurant. At first it was a little bit confusing because there was a party going on and people were making a line and paying per party, but staff was very friendly and gave us really great recommendations. Bread was great, very homemade tasting, I got a ranch salad, amazing, the dressing was homemade and got the chicken Alfredo, which the sauce was super tasty, the only thing I would say about this dish, the pasta was a little bit hard, it wasn’t super soft, but other than that I really recommend this restaurant. I wish I had space for the cheesecake because it looked delicious.

Very cozy Mom n Pop joint. True Italian food. Conversation is difficult so definitely have patience and insure they understand what You really want or Freddie will provide with His choices. Not bad choices but like I don't eat pork and it was on my plate. Tortellini is excellent unfortunately 😕 it had pork. The shrimp picatta was meh, if the shrimp was cooked better definitely would have been perfection. The Chicken Bianco was deelish, chicken was made so tender n moist. We actually ordered 2 to go. This family style restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Amazing and authentic Italian food. Owner and staff were very personal and very down to earth. The price is well worth the food and the atmosphere. Every bite of the food from bread, to entree, to dessert was magnificent. If you are in Jacksonville this is a must try location.

I’m in town for a couple of days and craving good Italian food. After reading some of the bad reviews and the management responses, it is disappointing. I’m actually afraid to take a chance. Nevertheless I’m on my way to check it out for myself. To be continued. Ok here it is as soon as I get there I sit down at a table near the entrance. The first thing I see is a roach crawling across the floor. Being from NYC I’m not in shock I’ve seen worse in high end restaurants. As long as it’s not in my food.. after all it is an old building. So I ordered the shrimp pasta Carbonara with garlic bread. I have to say the food was amazing.. quantity and quality. The garlic bread was out of this world…

I'm pretty sure this is the first review I have ever left, but this pizza is so epically bad I needed to say it. It is by far the absolute worst pizza I have ever had. It came out of the oven bone dry and tastes like the ingredients were sitting on the counter the last few days and then tossed together. I would rather eat a frozen totinos pizza than this garbage.

I recently visited this Italian restaurant and had an amazing experience devouring a slice of their mouthwatering meat lovers pizza. Let me just say, it was an absolute delight! The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside, yet wonderfully chewy on the inside. The generous toppings of Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, and ham were cooked to perfection and infused the pizza with an incredible blend of flavors. Each bite was a meat lover's dream come true! The sauce was rich and tangy, complementing the savory meats flawlessly. The cheese was beautifully melted, adding a creamy, indulgent layer to the already exquisite combination of ingredients. It was evident that the chef took great care in selecting high-quality ingredients, resulting in a truly memorable pizza experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a charming Italian decor that enhanced the overall dining atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout my visit. Whether you're a die-hard carnivore or simply craving a delightful pizza, this Italian restaurant is an absolute must-visit. With their delectable meat lovers pizza, impeccable service, and cozy ambiance, it's an ideal spot for a satisfying meal. I cannot wait to return and try more of their tantalizing offerings! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a delicious Italian dining experience. Bon appétit!

Had the Chicken Alfredo and took home a Spinach Lasagna. Was also offered a side salad and some delicious garlic bread. Everything went well, the owner was very friendly and will walk around chatting with the customers. Waitress was friendly and checked up on us regularly. Had a minor issue with the bill but that was resolved quickly. Its great to have restaurants like this close by. I will be back often. Wish I would have taken a Picture of the "before" but I was more interested in eating than taking pictures at the time.

This restaurant was absolutely incredible! Everyone was warm and welcoming. The food was delicious…especially the cheesecake! I could not have asked for a more friendly, personal experience than we received here. Definitely visit if you love Italian food and want a family atmosphere! If there would be a rating above 5, I would have selected it.

In my many trips to Jacksonville for business I have never stopped at this place until tonight. Just a short walk from the river front Casa Dora is as close as one can get to being in Italy while never leaving Jacksonville. As you walk in you are greeted by the most kind gentleman who seats you and then provides you with the specials of the day. One special was the taste of Italy. The meal was amazing with rich flavor and delicious sauce. I had the veal parmigiana and it was so tender and simply marvelous. I am so glad that I was able to find this place and count down the days until we can come again. Thank you to the kind sir who waited on us! I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Add this place to your *must visit* restaurant list!! We were welcomed so warmly upon entering- you go to a counter where the food is displayed. The chef(I think also the owner) took time to describe every option in detail *and with pride*. It is all fresh made in house- no frozen stuff. You go sit down and they deliver food to the table after it's cooked/warmed. I had spinach Lasagna 10/10🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The walls are covered with autographs and pictures of visitors whom I think were mostly performers at the Florida Theatre next door coming over after their show. Super charming throughout. The girl at the front/also our waitress was very excited to tell us she made three different cheesecakes and all were gone except one slice. It was brownie cheesecake and she wanted us to have it. No charge. She was not around when we left and I didn't get to tell her it was FANTASTIC! Make sure you ask if she has any when you visit! I eat late so I was not expecting it to be busy but there was only one family there when we arrived. I hope this review results in them having a line out the door!

Cute ma and pa shop that makes you feel cozy. I believe the owner/cook was the man providing us suggestions for the meal of the day and he is just an overall funny guy. Great food before the concert. I got the chicken piccata and it was amazing! Still full hours later and post-concert.

Italian cuisine was served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Great service time. The restaurant was a little crowded which is good. Regular customers were excited to enjoy lunch. I ordered a coffee and a cheese pizza to begin with. Coffee was strong and tasted okay. The cheese pizza was a major hit from the maturity of the cheese to the garlic flavored crust. I also ordered the spinach lasagna and the eggplant parmesan ,which I have photos of below. There is a decorated bar with posters and iconic moments and people. Public restrooms are available.

My new favorite Italian place in town. Freddy might be a busy guy but, they make great food and the atmosphere is amazing! Loved the Marsala and Chicken Parm. My Wife's Picatta was the best we've had. Will definitely be back. I hear the Grouper Lasagna is to die for, I'll let the phone eat first next time!
