Run…don’t walk. Seriously, my taste buds are alive. Everything is delicious. Fresh. Come hungry lol or have it as a sandwich. I opted as a board. We all did. Not a single negative thing to say. Great environment. Friendly staff. And when you’re done eating, head over to the coffee shop inside.

This place is great and open on the weekends. The past few years it has been very difficult to eat in the downtown when we go to the scholastic awards at the Florida theatre and then to the art exhibitions at the Jacksonville library art gallery and the jacksonville university art show in the Sun Tower. I went her with few families this time and I will be recommending it everyone next year to come together. I want meet people here for Art Walk. Our food was great! I was very impressed with the boards and the wings we ordered. The portions were generous and the food was super tasty and fresh.

I recently dined at Bread and Board with my team, and we had a fantastic experience! The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or colleagues. We started off with their Signature Wings, and they were simply outstanding! The chicken wings were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The flavorful seasoning added a delightful kick, making them a must-try for any wing enthusiast. Next up, we indulged in the Crispy Cajun Fried Fish. The fish fillets were cooked to perfection, with a golden and crispy coating that added a satisfying crunch. The Cajun seasoning infused the dish with a spicy and savory flavor that tantalized our taste buds. It was a true seafood delight! To complete our seafood feast, we also ordered the Fried Shrimp. These succulent and plump shrimp were expertly fried to achieve a crispy texture while retaining their natural sweetness. The accompanying dipping sauce provided a tangy and zesty contrast, enhancing the overall enjoyment. Throughout our meal, the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They ensured our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. Bread and Board exceeded our expectations with their delectable food and excellent service. If you’re a seafood lover or a fan of deliciously seasoned wings, this is definitely the place to go. Don’t miss out on the Signature Wings, Crispy Cajun Fried Fish, and Fried Shrimp—they are simply mouthwatering! We can’t wait to return and try more of their enticing menu options.

The bread was delicious. Nice to be downtown. Lux (kid); The place was a cute decoration. The bread wasn't too good but the other food was yummy 😋.

The customer service is A1! The food is presented amazing.!! Portion sizes are great for the price! The taste is EXPLOSIVE!! The business is very kid friendly. Clean. Provided plenty of seating options. The location is noticeable from the road in downtown jax. My only complaint is there was not much parking

I don't know who was working when people made these reviews but I assume they lost all the good employees. No one explained anything. The woman at the register was pissed bc she was off in a few. Someone tried to be nice to me, one of the cooks and it caused attitudes. I was excited to eat here too lol so sad. It is one lady in the back can tell she should be at a better establishment. But whoever let these people work and manage here are taking the value wayyy down. Definitely need management and new staff. I spoke to 2 people and was forwarded to Lauren who offered a remake but itd be the same people...? Have to drive back in rush hour to get it remade ...? No acceptable for a downtown restaurant. Restaurants in the hood have better service than this. Speaks to how they're being treated bc at my restaurant on Jax Beach we enjoyed being there so we treated our customers as good as we felt. I was told I'd be given a refund and they LIED of course. As I knew how Laura was acting and how quickly she said the refund was handled, I will be disputing the charge for the food I drove 45 minutes to get that I never got to eat lol. Totally waste people's time.

This is an excellent place that compliments downtown living. The food is great and the variety of the place is so urban. It is a part coffee bar, part beer garden, part sit down diner. It was really thought, chill spot. There are beers on tap, but I loved the sodas on tap dispenser, like the old soda jerks. The concept transported me to some of the all day diners I found in Chicago. Another selling point is the ability to open the windows for great ventilation. And it was very spacious. Great to see it Jacksonville. We need more places like this.

This is a cool place. At first I was suspect but after getting my food all of that changed. I like the setup with the different vendors around and the new bar is a good addition. I was skeptical about whipped pimento cheese on my sandwich but it was sooo good. Next time I am in town I will be back for sure.

I didn’t realize this place had brunch. I’m glad I went. I got the fish and grits with collard greens. I ate almost all of it, which I hardly ever do; the greens had a kick that couldn’t take too much of, but they were still great. I got the pineapple cream soda—excellent.

I had this place on my list for a long time. We finally decided to go and we were not disappointed. The staff was super friendly, the restaurant looks beautiful and food was really good. I made reservations and even though it wasn’t crowded because of the time, I’m sure it gets busy. Parking is basically wherever you can find one but because it was a Sunday it wasn’t hard.

Lovely staff, amazing food & fair price. Chicken, Fish, Pork, Bread.. everything is just absolutely perfectly cooked. House bread is my fav. Portions of food is humongous. Parking is right outside. Beautifully cooked food every time. Variety of sides & everything is super delicious. Update: Apple maps take you to old location so here is the gps coordinates (30.3265255, -81.6596409) This is a brand new place, super modern & innovative. Food quality is still the same. Its brilliant, they have so many sitting available inside, beautiful interior & their sodas are delicious. (not regular sodas like coke, Dr Pepper etc) they have fancy sodas, must try! Prices are pretty much same. New Tap room, with so many beers on Tap & great wine collection. Parking is street parking (paid meters) 2$ per hour/ 2 hr max.

The Bread & Board has incredible fresh food options, and they provide generous portions. The atmosphere is bright, airy, and inviting. I was in Jacksonville for a short trip, and I ate here twice with large groups. I would be a regular customer if I lived there. Recommendation: be sure to get the cheesy grits!

Incredible spot. Good for literally every occasion at all hours. You can reserve spots for a small event. It’s got dynamite sandwiches and charcuterie. Individual full service liquor and coffee bars. Breakfast foods. The atmosphere is very chill. The bartenders were meticulously cleaning the glasses to ensure no smudges. The employees really seem to care about this place and their jobs and it shows. The Bread and Board 10 out of 10

AMAZING. I got their Apple Wood Ham & Brie and my partner got the Buttermilk Chicken. They were both so delicious. Great atmosphere and they have a cute store as well. Great spot for a quick and amazing meal.

This place is so cute and I really want to love it! However, this is the second time I've purchased something from the Provisions area and was surprised to find red onions in a wrap that was not listed on the ingredient list. This may not be a big deal for some, but I hate onions and specifically chose the wrap because the ingredients list said it did not contain onions. I'm really disappointed and wish the provisions wraps were labeled better.

We came here before a show to eat some dinner and enjoy the downtown vibes. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the chili, cheese grits, and banh mi shrimp. They have wine and beer too. Perfect spot to enjoy a bite before a night on the town.

As soon as we walked in the door, the ladies behind the counter greeted us with huge smiles. All the people I saw working while we there seemed like they actually enjoyed working there...refreshing! The food was really yummy and fresh. I had the broccoli cheddar soup and a chicken salad sandwich. There were big chunks of broccoli and oh so much cheese! The chicken salad sandwich was so fresh-tasting, with pecans and dried cranberries in it. My hubby had the shrimp banh mi, and I sampled a bite of it. It had just a little spicy bite and a hint of sweetness. Very tasty! The interior was open and airy with a variety of seating types (bar stools, tables, booths). Everything was clean.

I like the concept and the decor. It’s a chic and nice looking place. Part deli, part bar and part quick service restaurant. So why three stars? Mainly because the food wasn’t good. The chicken shawarma had very muted flavors. It’s as if they catered the item to people who want a exotic dish but are afraid of the flavors that come with it. The smoked pork was also very dry. On a side note. Eateries that do this service model should not be tipping establishments. Just pay your employees fairly and increase menu prices if necessary.

I stopped in while passing through town on the way to the airport. I initially requested a seat but was told they had reservations for dinner and it would be best for me to get the food to go. I found that odd because the place was entirely empty but I ordered to go anyway. I’m guessing it gets really packed around HH and dinner time. I’d arrived just before. The restaurant itself is very inviting. The dining area is large and has high ceilings. The bar area is nice. There is also a store on site. The staff was all very friendly. The food itself was a great value. I ordered the shrimp bahn mi board with fries. It came with a drink and may have been $20. Coming from DC, that’s really cheap for such a large portion. The sandwich was really tasty, albeit not what I’d imagined by the title. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out though. It’s got great food and is located proximal to the riverfront so you can get some food to go and enjoy some sweet views.

The last time I tried This place it was years ago when I worked at St. Vincent's riverside. They had had opened up over there...and of course by the way it looked the vibe was different so I tried it and wasn't too happy about it....Not my experience TODAY🙃. So I walk in and isn't greeted by the front cashier...lol so I greeted her 🤦🏾‍♀️. I asked her for her top selling item and she told me the chicken lou and Southern Chicken. So both was ordered on a board. I say that cause u have the option of it being on a board or not. On the board gives u way more food. It takes the meat off of the bun and places it on a board with 3 soft and obviously home made rolls for $18. The sandwich option comes with fries. So I ordered and walked around the restaurant and LOW N BEHOLD A GOOD DOUGH was in the corner....That was God🤗. Omw over there they had a Alewife counter , Provisions Counter and some coffee spot. This was unique, with my picky self this kind of idea was right up my alley. The food Came and it was delicious! The chicken breast was juicy as heck!! There was so much of the bread I decided to take some home.

Loved this place! It’s spacious and bright, and they have lots of treats and trinkets for sale including a flower and candle shop. The sandwiches were amazing. We had the chicken salad which was great, but the meat board was the highlight with the softest, most savory herb rolls. The cherry smoked ham was our favorite, and we were impressed by the real, fresh Turkey slices…not what you get at even a gourmet deli. It was like Thanksgiving leftovers. The beef was very good, too, I just don’t usually eat roast beef. The aioli and mustard sauces were delicious, too. They have unusual sandwich creations that seem worth trying, and the large boards are definitely enough for two…I’d just get an extra roll. Definitely coming back when we pass through Jacksonville. I hope they bring one to Miami!

Parking was easily available in front of restaurant on a Sunday. Seated immediately. Waitress pleasantly explained the menu & made suggestions. Hot food was served in a timely manner. To go containers are a must! The meal was delicious. Prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

I went to an event that had catered food by Bread & Board and holy cow, it was delicious! Great selection of spiced meats, cheeses and pickled veggies. There were sliders as well—I only tried the spicy fried chicken variety—and they were so good, not very hot but flavorful. I even made my own little sandwich with the herbed rolls. Highly recommend for an impressive and tasty catering spread!

Such a fantastic little place in downtown JAX. They have a few different counters you can go to for coffee, cocktails, pastries, sandwiches, boards, and more. It’s more of a sit down vibe in the evening, too, if you’re looking for that as well but during the day it’s counter service. Food was delicious and fresh, portions were huge, staff was friendly and accommodating, and the place was clean and set up like a cozy little coffee shop. I had the Cordon “Lou” with their house made rosemary chips (yum) and the hush puppies. All of it was tasty and so much food. I will definitely be back!

Expected a little more from here. The food was OK. My chicken was dry and greasy, it would crumble apart when trying to cut into it. The hamburger and fries are good, that’s the inly thing I would recommend since I’ve been before here and the salad and sandwich I got were nothing outstanding. I tried giving it another chance but I don’t think I’ll be visiting often. The place is well decor and beautiful, but sadly the service and cleanliness of the place are not very good… need improvement. Live the coffee shop area !!! So much to find and the person at the cashier is always nice and cordial!

I went to this place when they first opened and it wasn’t the best food, service, or prices. Now… it’s worth it. Their menu offers a variety of selections with the portions being quite big. The pricing I think fits with the amount of food given. Overall good food!

Absolutely love this place! Such a great atmosphere! The food is AMAZING and consistent. Unfortunately, the store manager lacks customer service. He's kind of condescending when bringing issues as attention. But the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful. Love their Sunday brunch menu.

I had the fish board and it was amazing. The server said it was the Redfish and my daughter had a applewood plate which she enjoyed! Everything was so tasty and fresh.

Not only was the food beyond amazing but the level of service was beyond top notch. Today (01/08) around mid afternoon, we were greeted by such warm hearted employees who were not only passionate about the food (which was incredible) but the experience they gave us. As their food is warm and tasty it was really their employees that made our experience. I’m not one to leave reviews, but thank you. And thank you for looking after my donut loving nephew!! We will be back soon!!

I mean, it's not possible to have too many delicious fries, is it? Because the fries here really are delicious and it's kind of ridiculous the amount they put on your plate. The sandwich, too, was really good. This is the kind of establishment that we need a lot more of in Downtown Jacksonville. In short, just go order some food from the Bread & Board!
