It was my first time in and it was a great experience! The staff was super nice and explained what arepas are (basically a Venezuelan version of a taco). I got the Fancy monkey (sub avocado for queso) and my boyfriend got The Queen. We also got their weekend-only special empanadas. Everything was so good!!!! The arepas don’t look huge, but they are SO filling and so good! We’ll be back!!

I had a quick trip to Jacksonville and spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out where I wanted to eat for my one meal in Jacksonville and landed on Arepa Please. I am so happy I did because the food was amazing and all new to me. My group each had an Arepa and one of each of the 3 appetizers and loved all of them! I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of meat in each arepa. As someone who eats a high protein diet, I know how difficult it can be to find restaurant food that has an adequate amount. I was also amazed by the decor when I walked in! The mural on the outside wall was beautiful and then I walked in and saw all the art with tracing lights all over the walls and a bar top eating area lined with cacti. Next time I'm here, I will definitely visit again!

I really loved this place. It had a great modern artists atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The service was excellent even though they were super busy when we came. And the food was so good. I wish I got a picture of the Arepa sandwiches, but the fried plantains with the nata was to die for!

Super good!! Went with a couple friends and no one was disappointed; so many different arepas that I honestly wanted to try them all. (The one friend that got the grilled cheese said it was good 👍). Super nice staff as well, excited to go back!

I look for arepas in most cities that I visit. Arepas please has made my top three!!! The food was fresh and hot. The flavor combinations are a treat for your palate. I had ‘The Queen’ and it was exquisite. It was cold like a chicken salad but can not be put in that same category because oh. My. Gosh. The flavor was beyond a chicken salad. I finished it and of course had to try another. So I ordered ‘the Pabellon’. Y’all…… not only was it hot fresh where it was almost burning (my favorite temp of food), the flavor of the sweet plantain and the season beef and season black beans was the best combination. When your food makes you dance in your seat, you have arrived. Apart from the food, the people were so kind and down to earth. I felt at home and the atmosphere is super chill and inviting. If you can, VISIT AREPAS PLEASE. There will be 0 disappointments here.

You’re missing out if you haven’t been!! I had the Pabellon and the Cachapa (a must have). The Pabellon is shredded beef with sweet plantains, queso blanco on a bed of black beans. A nice combination of savory and sweet. I truly enjoyed. However the Show stealer, for me, was the Cachapa the Sweet Corn Cakes would have been amazing on their own but combined with the fried cheese… Delish!!! And good sized portion to share. Come for the food, stay for the Art and chill vibes. The staff was very friendly, a was informed of what an Arepa is, the different ingredients in a few of the options which made my decision quite easy. While there, take a moment to appreciate the art. When you notice the cool feature within the photo collage on the left (while facing the counter) come back and like my review. Bring that foodie friend with you, you know the one that’s always putting you on to good food. 😉

When you first walk in you are greeted which is very welcoming . I had high hopes after that lol. I got the cheeseburger and fries and the fries were terrible no seasoning and very overdone. The burger meat was a flat type of patty that also had no flavor 🙄 but the bacon was decent tasting. Maybe I should have gotten an arepa instead 🤷🏾‍♀️?

Amazing food!!! Stopped for lunch and luckily beat the rush. Service was good. We had the chicken salad arepa and the gyro salad. Both were great. Also enjoyed the decor of the place, just a nice comfortable place to be. Coffee was outstanding as well

We went with my very picky parents and everyone loved their meals. I got the funky monkey and it was the tastiest arepa I’ve had (don’t tell my MIL). If you are looking for a quick, delicious lunch it doesn’t get better than Arepa Please.

When you first walk in the place, it has a good vibe, and it makes you feel at home. The service was really great, and they told us what we needed to know and overall were very polite. The food was savory and delicious, and I definitely recommend you come here. 👍

Great find on our way home. Vibes were relaxed and spunky. Not a huge spot, but more than adequate seating. The maduros with cheese sauce were incredible. I had the Pabellon (cheese, maduros, pork) and my wife had the Jax Blond (pork and cheese). If we lived nearby, it'd be a weekly visit (at least!) for sure.

I had the Same Marco and my wife had the Just Cheese. This was some of the best food we've had in a long time! The service was great and the food also came out very quickly. I also love the artwork and atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

All I can say is wow!! Stopped here for lunch after the Riverside Arts Market. The portions are large, filling, and absolutely tasty. The chicken salad with avocado arepa was my husbands favorite and I loved the Pabellon. The best plantains I’ve had in years! Food takes a few minutes (since it’s made fresh) but the ambiance is fun and inviting and staff was incredibly friendly. Will be back for sure.

This was my first time dining at Arepa Please , and I have to say, the food was amazing. The interesting facts provided about the cuisine made me feel like I was enjoying a home-cooked meal. Additionally, the customer service was outstanding. Overall, I would rate my experience a 10/10 for the price.

Great place for a quick snack or hangout. The food and juices were very fresh, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the prices were very good. A must try Venezuelan food place when you are in the area.

Please check this place out! Food was amazing, coffee was great, and service was amazing. Was recommended to try the fresh empanadas, arepas, and some kind of sweet corn and cheese thing (absolutely the best and wish I could remember the name) they only serve on weekends - all delish! I have told many about them since I went and am ready to come back for more.

Amazing Food and fantastic service. Owner personally served us and made sure the food was to our liking. Flavor is unlike other. Authentic arepas. Great job! Coming back again.

Excellent! Light! Fluffy corn arepa (gluten free!) made to order fast, stuffed with succulent, flavorful and plentiful fillings. Our favorites are The Queen (cold creamy chicken salad w huge chunks of ripe avocado!) and the Pabellon (shredded flavorful beef, black beans and fried plantains)! Goodness! Mouth watering and savory! So fast! I always order extra plantains that come sweet, fried, dusted in cojita cheese. Yum! There is a parking lot right there and a beautiful Instagram worthy muraled wall on the side of the building! The inside has a cool vibe with amazing art: projectors on the art make it look alive! I’m captivated! Music is always a comfortable level and sets a good tone while conversation is still priority. They just get so many things right! I really love this place! All 3 visits whenever I pass through this town have been delicious! Always love when my travels take me past this lovely fooderie!

I’m Venezuelan and LOVED it. I only tried the Reina Pepiada through doordash but the dough is remarkable. I’ve actually never seen such a crispy arepa (i’ve lived in Venezuela and Miami). Next time I visit Jacksonville I’ll definitely come here.

Delicious food, amazing service, beautiful atmosphere. My best friend from Connecticut heard about this restaurant and wanted to try, so happy we came here. I’ll be back myself to try a different arepa.

I ordered online and had to wait about 10 minutes when I got there at the estimated time. Cute place, artsy on the outside and inside. Staff was nice, parking was full. My arepa was good but there was WAY more avocado than meat. Everything was fresh and hot. I also got their cheese sticks - basically pillsbury dough around cheese. Not bad, not good - came with "pink" sauce (so you know, it's exactly 1000 island dressing, the same sauce for reubens) and a green sauce. Neither paired well with the cheese sticks. No bad experience but I'm not eager to return.

It's a charming locally owned business. Nice and vibrant interior. Authentic Venezuelan food. The portions were generous. Had The Queen. It was like a chicken salad sandwich. Arepa had a nice flavor and aroma. Chicken was a tad salty and I couldn't really taste any cilantro in the sauce, but it was a nice and filling lunch otherwise. I have to come back and try the other flavors.

One of the best Venezuelan restaurants. I loved the PABELLON arepa. Great atmosphere. Also, super easy to park there ;)

This is a nice little cafe within walking distance of Riverside. The arepa I had was much bigger and more filling than I expected, and the shredded beef in it was great. Seems like a friendly place with plenty of regulars.

Excellent Venezuelan restaurant, very tasty food, spectacular arepas, tequeños, coffee, the place is very cool, good background music and atmosphere. We are on a road trip and we stopped in Jacksonville for lunch and the experience was really good. Every time I go to Jacksonville I will come back to eat.
