What a delicious place! My favorite was the falafel with tzatziki sauce - best I ever had! The Gyros were incredible with the amazing flavors of the salad on the side. I need a bigger stomach to truly savor it all! We highly recommend this wonderful place to eat! 😋

To tell you the truth I was expecting something different from the place itself. However, we loved it. The food is great, the gyro OMG! delicious. Great vegan options as well. We will definitely be back for more.

Great place for quick Mediterranean food, everything was freshly made. I have been there a couple of times so far and everything I tried was pretty good, from the hummus and tabouli to the chicken salad and gyro. The staff were very nice and friendly and the food prices were great for the area. If you are in the San Marco 5 points area this is the place to stop by for a quick healthy snack.

I orded to go. I orded a chicken gyro and a lamb gyro for me and my wife. Both gyros were seasoned well and had a nice amount of toppings and sauce. I didn't see a kids menu but I ended up getting my 2 year old son a turkey hovan roll which was also made to perfection. The staff was extremely friendly both on the phone when I ordered and when I went to pick up. Overall a great experience and wpuld definitely go back.

Wonderful atmosphere. Great authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The food was delicious. Paid less than $30 for 2. Prices are great. Must visit.

Went here two times back to back. The food was sooooo flavorful and delicious. I said I was going to try something different but that gyro was PHENOMENAL. I'm posting pics from two separate trips. The Gyro hands down the best I've had in the city. The Mediterranean salad is fresh and tasty.... that pasta salad.... I could eat it every day. Workers are kind and the restaurant is very clean. My only problem is when ordering online they will prepare your food long before your requested pick up time. Both times i ordered, i received notification my order was ready 20 mins ahead of my pickup time. So consider ordering when you're close otherwise your order will be sitting. All in all great experience and I look forward to trying other items

Hovan is a Jacksonville standard of excellence in high quality delicious and fresh Mediterranean food. I recently enjoyed a Lamb Gyro with Baba Ghanoush on the side. Simply outstanding! The restaurant and bathrooms are always impeccably clean and the owners and staff are always friendly and gracious. I also love the pastrami Hovan Roll. I’ll keep coming back!

Hovan is a staple in 5 Points for a reason! From all the vegan / vegetarian options and flavors to the service = A+. When undecided about food, this is my go-to for a consistent fantastic meal. (Get the whatever the soup special of the day is and thank me later)

Great food, had a gyro combo with Mediterranean salad and lentil soup. The soup had a wonderful delicate spiced flavor. Gyro was great, salad too, everything was balanced, simple, perfectly executed. Even the iced tea had that little extra something. Herbaceous freshness can’t be faked, and everything had that quality. When you’ve got it you’ve got it. These guys have it.

Top knotch customer service. I felt very welcomed to order. Let’s just say the food was really good. I also have very picky toddlers and they also enjoyed it. Definitely a place to check out

I have been going to this restaurant for about 10 years. The food is always consistently good and fresh and they have excellent baklava. It is wonderful neighborhood lunch place with indoor and outdoor dining. There has never been a time when I have gone to this establishment that the owner is not present. Food quality and service are consistently excellent. I believe that because they have a very good owner who expects seems to be that way

Every single time I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying the food at Hovan - whether it’s been dine in, take out, or delivery, everything is wonderful. Never disappointed. Flavorful, fresh, worked, great variety of menu items. My favorites are the grape leaves, tabouleh, and the beef/lamb gyro. But the stand out is the cheese spread! Wonderfully salty and garlicky, perfect creamy side for the fresh pita bread. Customer service is phenomenal and I appreciate the consistency of pleasant exercises I have had.

Fast and fresh Hovan is a great choice for a quick lunch, hearty dinner or takeout meal. We went with a group of five and our food was served fast and everything was delicious. We tried a couple of appetizers, sandwiches and some vegan options as well and nothing disappointed. My only complaint if you can call it one is I would have liked to see some lunch specials as the menu is relatively pricey for a quick lunch. Not unusual for the Riverside neighborhood. Worth a visit! Would definitely go again.

Always happy and full when I eat here! Mediterranean is the tastiest cuisine and this is the best! I have food allergies and sensitivities, so I appreciate the authentic food! The variety and freshness of the menu items keep me coming back! And the value for what you receive is unmatched - I always have leftovers for the next day! Check them out for yourself!

Good food. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Fair pricing. What else could you ask for from a quick eating spot? The lamb/beer gyro was great along w their pasta salad. Only complaint is I wish they did true shawarma.

Great food everything we've been there. The food is fresh and smells super. Lots of choices. The staff never rushes our decisions and will even give you taste samples. The restaurant is clean and the outside sitting is perfect for larger groups.

Great location and authentic Mediterranean. Everything to me has a Greek feel, but it's delicious and well priced. If you don't try the gyros, you are missing out. Hummus and sides are a MUST, even if you gotta take some home. Great service, even though it's deli stile with no table service, they make sure you get what you want and how you want it. Make this a must when you visit Five Points.

This place was amazing. I ordered through door dash and the food arrived fresh and warm. I loved it! I haven’t been able to find a good gyro place down here but, this place is definitely it! I wish I could give it ten stars. The gyros were stuffed with meat and the falafels were fried to perfect texture and tasted amazing! 10 stars hands down!!!!

Great gluten free and dairy free options. We all loved our food except for the dolmas.

Ordered my usual vegan wrap for delivery and it came bathing in a hot sauce I didn’t request and have never had on my wrap before 😩 the salad was also full of onions which isn’t typical either. Usually food is spot on but this wasn’t what I was expecting at all compared to previous orders.

I loved Hovans. My party consisted of five. Three of which are sort of picky eaters with one being a vegan. Everyone loved it. We had three chicken shawarmas, one chicken kabob, and one vegan gyro. We also had multiple baklava. We loved everything. The service was great and friendly staff. My husband and I will be back again.

Everything here was delicious! Chicken Lamb and beef gyros over salad, rice or pita with sides that are fresh and well-seasoned. Gluten-free and veggie options are available. My hubby says the baklava is fantastic, authentic and definitely worth the calories.

Hands down the most authentic Mediterranean place in the area. I have friends from the region and they love this place. The service was great. You order at the counter and sit down with your meal. The woman behind the counter was very nice and helped with our selection as there was a lot chose from. The flavors were amazing and everything was very fresh. Highly recommend this place! We will definitely be coming back
