Had better experiences there prior to our Sunday visit, but this was an awful visit making it likely we won’t return. The clear issue is that they have hired teens to run the place. Other than the bar staff, they absolutely lacked experienced staff members. Waited in line for about 15 minutes just to put down my name. The young hostess was clearly overwhelmed and very disorganized. There seemed to be plenty of open tables, and finally a more senior staff member intervened and asked her why they were still on a wait, when clearly there wasn’t a need to be. We had to ask beg for the hosts attention from her disorganized chaos just to put our names down. Once seated, we were advised the kitchen was backed up and the bar was backed up. (This didn’t appear to be a busier night than normal and it was only around 6pm). The waitress also told us they were out of approximately half the appetizers, and some of the mains. BTW she also admitted the fried oysters aren’t fresh, but frozen. Some of our group’s food came out having cooled off too much and we were missing some items. I paid $36 for the smallest (and driest) mahi portion I’ve ever seen, and another was charged a $9 up charge for grouper. The place has a nice atmosphere but it was also ruined buy table after table stacked with trash that had not been cleaned.

Great day, fabulous friends, frosty drinks and good food. Dine, drink, shop for sundries and tackle and drop your boat. Gas fill up too! Enjoy Indoor outdoor seating, fire pit and corn hole all while enjoying the intercostals and boats motoring through. Don’t forget to meet Roo the Roster. Lots of parking too.

This was our first time there. Loved the atmosphere, and will definitely be going back. Had the lamb burger, wow, so delicious. My husband had the PCP burger which he really enjoyed too. There was also great live music with a guy from St Augustine, perfect Sunday afternoon vibe. The only little minor thing... We sat at the bar, the countertop wasn't really clean. We sat in a spot where the previous patrons dishes were (which was fine) but after the dishes were taken away the countertop was not wiped down. If there had been some paper placemats or something, it would have helped, cos I get that the countertop is sooo wide and probably a bit difficult to clean. But still highly recommend!

I had to stop into this place to take in some live music, the view it has to offer from its location and a routine Caesar salad check! I entered the restaurant and asked for a spot near where the music would begin, but since it was just myself dining I asked to be put in the best spot for just one. The very cordial and kind-faced man asked if the bar would be ok. I assured him I don't drink alcohol but I'm solid in that and the bar should suit me ok so long as I can take it all in from my spot. He walked me to the back corner of the bar and it was a comfortable little nook for me. I ordered a Caesar salad and the bartender offered to make me a mocktail at no charge. At first I went with a water but later I took him up on the virgin drink offer. I like to order Caesar salads most anywhere I go to experience the quality of greens used. This place passed the test! Caesar dressing evenly coated all the crispy, crunchy leafy greens and the whole salad and the Parmesan plentiful. Even got some good crouton action happening, throughout. A+ on the salad, good to the last little bit. The live music began and the bar began to get busier. People arriving, forming lines at the very nicely outfitted bar with perhaps a marble or Formica countertop. People were ordering beers by the fives and tens, asking for them to be put on ice in buckets. Rounds of shots being ordered, Shocktops, glasses of wine. The party was getting started for sure! I was content to ask for my virgin mojito and the bartend fancied it up with some strawberries for me. It was a good little corner of the bar I staked out but as I was mostly intending to enjoy the live music offering, the decibel level of voices all around me was too much to hear the music well-enough. I noticed when the live music started the bartenders turned down the speakers at the bar that had been playing random background country music. If only the live musician's sound could have been patched through to the speakers at the bar, it would have been perfect. I ordered a gator tail appetizer to enjoy and finally decided to move to the opposite corner of the bar away from the lines of people who were inadvertently blocking my view of the guitar-playing. I had zeroed-in an emptied spot for about 20 mins before finally deciding to move and happily transplanted myself with the bartend's assistance to a seat as directly adjacent from the live music as far as bar seating would allow. I was a happy camper and enjoyed the rest of my experience with a much more clear ability to hear and see the entertainment. Thanks, Palm Valley! You've got a good thing goin' out there and some great views, to boot! Keep on keepin' on. Until next time when I come to sit for a good dozen oysters!

Lovely late afternoon here on a Saturday. Experienced a 1 hour plus wait for a table, very crowded...but the bar and atmosphere as first timers made the time go by. Servers are very capable and they hustle. Our group of six ordered various dishes including shrimp and grits, salad with mahi and blackened shrimp, and a seafood platter. My arugula and goat cheese salad was quite good topped with shrimp. Shrimp and grits reported in as good and on the Cajun spicy side. The history is deep here...having been in this intercoastal spot for decades. The place is dog 🐕 friendly while the marina office amps it up with Rufus the goat and Roo the rooster. Fun evening, great people watching...and Rufus adorable.

Great place for food and drinks. It’s hard to find good oyster, but they were big and fresh. The bar tender, John made a special drink. My friend told me to go when he’s working. He’s known for his great inventions in cocktails. Fresh strawberries and basil margarita was amazing. I had to add the photo. There’s also the great view being on the water. Boats have a dock to pull up to.

Yes, believe all the newer reviews that this place has gone downhill recently. While visiting family, they were excited to take us via boat to dine here. We had someone drive there and put our name in at 5:30. It was a colossal f-up all night long. Long wait for a table then no one shows up to even clean it take drink orders for another long time. Meanwhile the littles are all melting down. They no longer carry gator tail which was what some of us had been told was amazing and why we went there - specifically for that. Several appetizers and main dishes weren’t available on a Friday night. That’s a management mistake. we’ve owned restaurants and that’s a big blunder going into a weekend. Food took forever - even as it cleared out in the restaurant. The bathroom was covered a dirty paper towels. The food was just ok for the price!! Drinks were made wrong and sent back only to return the same way. Our bill was $280 for four of us with tip. Can’t speak to what the others in our group spent. We didn’t leave until 10:30 pm. Five hours is way too long for average food and poor service. Save your money and time. The view and setting are nice. The rest is awful

We personally know one of bartender's there...LOL! He said that the menu is great. So we had him drive us there for dinner. Y'all did not disappoint! The Tuna was the Best!! Woo...the Green Fried Tomatoes were good to. Must order Summer Berry Mule. Great friendly place! Will return when I'm in town!

If I could give it zero stars overall I would. While waiting at the hostess stand for a table, multiple employees walked up to it without acknowledging us. Finally got seated. There was live music, and while the music was good it was too loud. It was hard to talk to each other without yelling. Two or the 3 ordered were catch of the day. One mahi one flounder, blackened. Fish was very bland. The 3rd order was the oyster player. The fried oysters were entirely too salty as were the fries. Best part of it all, was the bill. The fresh catch plate was 36, up-charge for the selection of fish, after it was listed on the fresh catch menu, and up-charge for substitute of grits for collards, though they are the same price on theI’m menu. The waitress did not inform us of these up charges. And neither meal was worth $25, let alone $43 a plate. Big disappointed, will not be back.

Great casual, waterfront dining. Excellent food, including salads and smoked fish dip. Live music on the weekend. Plenty of dockage to come by boat, including some dockhands to help rearrange the boats when needed and keep space open and available. Staff was friendly and brought umbrellas for the outside tables upon request.

New Menu with Price Increases … Wines all about $15 a glass now. Nicest view in Palm Valley gets 3 Stars ⭐️ but expect a more expensive night out than before!

Great vibe. Live music and busy. Big selection of draft beers. Food was a mixed experience. I liked it but didn't love any of it. The highlight of the Seafood platter was the clams. The shrimp and grits were ok. Fries everyone really liked. The key lime is one of the best my wife has had. The Mac and cheese was bland. The Caesar salad dressing was sort of mayo heavy.

Stopped here when we got into town. The wait was about 15 minutes. We sat outside and it was beautiful weather. They were out of Oysters on the Half Shell and Fried Green Tomatoes. Hubs had the Lamb burger, parents each had the Mahi fish tacos, and I had the Salmon BLT. Good all tasted great. Drinks I think we’re a little pricey. Average mixed drink was $12. Our server was Mackenzie. She was great! She was attentive and tried to make sure we had everything we needed. I didn’t notice until I went to do this review that we got charged for a Frozen Jack & Coke that we never received. I don’t believe this was our servers fault though. There was another server that brought a couple of our drinks and was probably overlooked.

We decided to try Palm Valley for the first time, based on what I had seen from their online menu... but it's not been updated in awhile. We ended up just getting the gator appetizer and leaving.

Oh my goodness- get the pecan crusted mahi! It was to die for! The parmesean grits were super creamy, too! The ambiance of the outdoor seated area is just lovely at night! Highly recommended for a chill dinner date!

Love this restaurant. Great place for drinks and dinner on the Intracoastal. My favorite day to go is on a Saturday when they have live music playing. The rib eye and lobsters were special on the menu when we last went. They were outstanding!
