I think 3 stars is fair for this hotel. It’s definitely not up to DoubleTree or Hilton standards though. The parking garage under the building is very dark and leaky, with lots of water pooling in the driveway areas. The lobby looks updated and staff was extremely nice there. The cookies are always a hit with the kids. The hallways were worn out and there were a few holes in some of the walls and carpets. The room needed an update. It’s also worn out. Everything worked and functioned like it should but you expect a little nice at a DoubleTree and this hotel just didn’t succeed there. Ive used my Hilton Honors card for this stay so the extra points was nice but overall the stay was just neutral. With some work this can be an amazing hotel in an amazing location. I’d pay twice as much for a room if it was renovated. Check in, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were great, please keep them happy!!

2 stars because the few employees I spoke with were very nice. I don’t know what all the high reviews are for. This place is not kept up well, is falling apart and is dirty. For $220 or even $130/ night this is unacceptable. What am I paying for? The rooms windows were dirty, showed mold, no patio furniture, drawers and cabinets were broken. There was safe that you have to pay EXTRA to use and no complimentary breakfast. Is that a thing of the past these days? Room service didn’t even come in our room ONE time to clean during our stay. The more casual restaurant had few food options, but what we had was good. Where the chef cooks is in the open and he let out a couple of LOUD belches while we were eating. Not that I care personally, but it doesn’t set a good precedent for the hotel. The bed, pillows and linens were comfortable. For the price of stay at that hotel, there is so much better and worth your hard earned money. I can’t comment on the view because we got a view facing the parking lot and not the riverfront- which I’m okay with because I’m sure that would have been more and not worth it in my opinion. Would not come back here

Hotels itself is nice. The lobby, pool, bar & service is great. Beds are extremely clean/ comfortable. The room however needed updating. The bathroom was dirty, old, rusty. Showers hot water didn’t work. NO COFFEE in room & a charge to buy downstairs which I found completely ridiculous. We’ve stayed in better 3 star hotels. Holiday inns overall have seemed to be more consistent with the quality and cleanliness of rooms.

Booked here using my Hilton points as we were driving through the area on our way to our final vacation destination. Booked this Hilton expecting Hilton level of stay. I was appalled of the condition of the hotel. First off the staff was great and nice. However, this place should be embarrassed to call this place a Hilton. They tried to face lift the rooms but the looked like a 70’s time warp. The carpet is gross, it felt musty and sticky in the room. We found a sock left on the floor from the previous guest. The parking lot under had a plumbing line that is busted and leaking in the parking lot next to our car and other cars as well with leaking lines. Additionally, if you want a restful night this place is not it. It was load and noisy all night from the loud traffic to the struggling AC in our room. It was was just not a place I want to take my family back to and not to the Hilton Standards.

Rooms need to be completely renovated. We had a king size bed and couch in our room. The bed had a soft topper that lost its comfort after one sleep. The river view was the nicest part about our stay. We saw dolphins swim by. There's a Riverwalk but no amenities or activities along it. (just a water taxi) Apologies for not taking pictures of the room itself. It was quite underwhelming. Bathroom was a shower, sink, and toilet. Felt like I needed shower shoes in the shower. The tile needed a deep clean. We originally chose this hotel due to it being pet friendly. Our pet and son stayed home. Pet owners should not have to sacrifice quality for their fur loved ones to travel along.

First of all, when you refuse valet parking, the attendants out front I think get a bit upset and say you cannot park your car in front to off load. What a bunch of bologna. The lobby looked great until we got to our floor. Hallway had a musky smell, the room was old. Reminded me of Frank Sinatra days. The latch on balcony door was some sort of contraption that looked tacky. The bed was comfortable but the carpet was old and musky. Felt the filth through my socks. We asked for a refrigerator and housekeeping dragged it into our room and we had to find a spot to plug it into. Requested house keeping by day 3 but that didn't happen. The manager on duty, I think her name was LaToya was very helpful, so was the lady that checked us in. The ice maker did not work, the heater worked when it felt like it, sometimes we had hot water. The safe didn't have batteries. I felt so bad for calling maintenance to our room 3 times in one morning but he was nice about it and he even offered us a complimentary breakfast for our inconvenience and suggested to front desk to change our room. It must have been a nice hotel way back but I'll never stay there for more than a day. We were there for 7 nights.

Stay away! This place is a dump. The only thing saving them from a 1 star is at least there weren't any bugs. We had a king bed on the 10th floor. Checked in on the Hilton app and as soon as we opened the room door we were hit with a wall of heat. The room was 86 degrees! The AC was working hard and blowing cold air but couldn't cool the room. We immediately called the front desk to let them know and they said they would send someone to check it out. We waited 15 minutes and decided we could not stay in that room. There is no way it was going to cool down. Went down to the desk and told them we needed a different room. They were understanding and didn't seem at all surprised. But the only thing available was a queen bed. Fine. Went into our queen room on the 3rd floor and everything smelled musty, stale, and like a smoker had been there. The room was 76 degrees but within an hour the room temp rose to 78. Ugh!! Overnight we had the AC set to 68 and the room never got lower than 75. It was a hot night in a very worn out saggy queen bed. Not only is their AC completely insufficient, the carpet all throughout this hotel is absolutely disgusting. It's dirty and brown and stained everywhere. The carpet should have been changed a decade ago. The elevators smell like weed as well. Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this hotel.

Our stay was OK. Staff were pleasant. The bathrooms are in need of renovation. Riverfront pool area is nice. This property only provides housekeeping on request. Our room coffee maker was not well stocked. We called the front desk and they said housekeeping would bring coffee pods. They never arrived - an hour later we went down to ask for them at the front desk. This was more like a 2 or 3 star experience.

I stayed at this location in 2/2020 & I absolutely loved it! While traveling to go on my cruise, I decided this would be the place to stay again, along with my husband & 7 month old son. When we arrived, front desk was nice. I was then given my room key, went to my room and was in total shock! This place has went downhill tremendously in the past 2.5yrs. I was so disappointed! The room was very dirty, musty, with the smell of cigarette smoke! The chair was dirty, carpet filthy and the bathroom had what appeared to be mouse droppings or something, where you’d place your needed bathroom items. I went to the front desk & complained! I refused to stay in such an unkept room. I was given another room, it was just as bad! Carpet was FILTHY! Bathtub looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks! I went back to the front desk & showed the young lady “Dee”, may have been her name, the photos & she said, I don’t have another room to offer you. I showed her the pictures of both rooms and said to her, would you stay in one of these? She looked at me and laughed! I demanded a refund “which”, she didn’t want to give me a print out, but told me she would issue one. Finally, she gave me the statement that I requested and I left & found another hotel, that myself and my family felt comfortable staying at. ****I’VE TRIED TO UPLOAD THE PHOTOS MULTIPLE TIMES & SITE WILL NOT POST THEM**** HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

Absolutely abysmal room, especially for the price! Fortunately I got a discount due to being here on business, but I could NOT imagine anyone ever paying full price for this dump!! Huge red stain on carpet, carpet was fraying, there was some sort of liquid filth dripping down the bathroom door, there was NO storage or surface area in the bathroom whatsoever...only one extremely small corner shelf, the paint in the room was chipping and peeling, the wall by the balcony was concave and soft to the touch due to extensive water damage, the bathroom door did not lock, the lock to the balcony door was broken and hanging by its hinge, the AC was visibly moldy/mildew and the metal covering was busted inward, the beverage glasses were all stained, the new "clean" towels they brought on my fourth day were visibly soiled, the bed was not made properly, the sliding glass balcony door was dirty. The hallway outside the room was stifling hot AND the vending machine was broken for the entire duration of my stay, meaning that I was forced to pay $5 for a FLAT bottle of soda from the lobby pantry instead of like a $1.50 it would've been had the vending machine worked! The only thing this hotel is good for is anonymous hookups, but you don't even need a hotel for that. Lol

The property just seemed to be somewhat in disarray. The rooms were very dated and not well-kept-up. It's obviously an older property, and has not been renovated in quite some time. See the photos for a couple examples. Check-in wasn't bad. There were no upgrades available, but when I said we didn't mind a different bed type in order to get a river view room, they easily moved us. I was charged for parking even though I never mentioned having a car to any staff. I paid at the kiosk when we left since I figured that's what I was supposed to do, and then I saw a $20 charge on my bill. Breakfast isn't terrible, but definitely a very poor value for anyone without the gold/diamond credit. Can't beat the location, though! The view from our room and from the pool deck was gorgeous, especially at sunrise. We were in town for a concert at Daily's Place, and we just walked down to the water taxi right next to the hotel and they took us straight there. Price was also great, given the location.

The hotel location and lobby are beautiful, however, the rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Location is perfect and, in my opinion, is on the best side for the best view. There is paint chipping from the walls and my sister found a bug in her sheets. Overall cleanliness was pretty good minus the bug, however, that was a huge factor as well. The hotel did do their best to rectify the situation, which we were happy about.

This hotel fell short of my expectations for a DoubleTree. The hotel was an older remodel, which is not the basis for the low score. The font desk staff was always busy doing something other than giving quality customer service. When we checked in she asked if we wanted a cookie to which I answered one please. Then she gave us our cards and went to the next customer. I went back down and asked about transportation to our event. Shuttle, water taxi, taxi or what was best. She said it is over the bridge and a few blocks down. It would take about 20 minutes depending on how long it takes to walk the bridge. Not a good answer. When we checked out, there was no one at desk. A line was forming and she came around the corner surprised that people would be at the desk in the morning. The room was good. Just old fixtures and styles. The breakfast was a huge disappointment. Instead of buffet and short order it was just buffet. $20 per person for the same food the Hampton Inn 2 blocks aways served for free. The entire place is just lacking attention. Small items of disrepair and neglect. The picture is the syrups with the coffee. All empty and have been for some time. If you don't have any remove them. Don't leave them out looking sad. There are a lot of hotels downtown, this would not be in my top 5 choices.

If you have a requirement for clean, light and bright hotel, DO NOT stay here. It's a dump, sorry to say. I accompanied my husband who had to be there for business (his meeting was at this hotel). Staff is wonderful. Cookies provided at check in are delicious, not worth staying here though. Ruth Chris in lobby is wonderful. We tried the hotel breakfast buffet. Staff was great there, but food just ok ($21pp). Creepy dark and dirty. In order to get out of the link, I had to give at least one star. I truly wish it was a great hotel. I heard it will undergo a renovation in two years. Wonder why they are waiting?

This post is made at the request of the company during a survey after staying. However, the stay was very poor. The most concerning was the missing balcony railing on the vertical rail on our 7th floor room. If you happen to get room 706 with children make sure you check the balcony first. We were there to watch the fireworks at New Year's Eve and we're unable to use our balcony due to the unsafe conditions. Also other issues we had were with booking. I called the hotel directly to book conjoining rooms as I have a family of five and would like to have enough room for everyone to have their own bed. We booked two Riverside two double bedrooms only to arrive and find that there are no two conjoining double bedrooms on the Riverside and that the rooms were merely side by side. As I have three small children this required me and my wife to sleep separately in different rooms and split my family up on New Year's eve. Finally there were other maintenance issues that I would have been willing to overlook in light of the pandemic, difficulty getting parts etc except for the other issues make me concerned that this is more of a prolific problem for systemic issue at this hotel rather than an isolated event. For example the ice machines on floors 5 through 9 were all out of order, the handle in the water in our shower came off because the set screw head backed out, the thermostat in our room did not respond to changes in temperature etc. Perhaps we had just a perfect storm of that experiences however think twice about your stay here.

The hotel is very easy to access. Valet team was very professional and responsive. Front desk team varies, some of the ladies were very disengaged but the other two were very professional and helpful. Bar/Bistro ladies were very professional and helpful and mindful of conversations. Hotel has great views, pool was awesome and amenities (restaurants, bar, workout room) are on par. As a facilities executive, I can appreciate when a maintenance team takes care of their building and takes pride in it. Great experience and will come back soon!

Beware of this facility. I was warned prior to actually staying here but not soon enough before I paid in full for my reservation and could not ask for a refund. They over charge you for everything. This is a good location for events near St John's river, but not worth the hassle. The front desk staff is not accommodating to their guests. The hotel needs a complete upgrade. I will give them credit for certain things... Hotel restaurant staff is really nice. Housekeeping was on point and there whenever you needed them. I will never stay here again and will also warn anyone prior to booking a reservation here.

*edit for response from hotel: They did a great job making things right. Their people are fantastic. The lobby has had a major renovation and the Hilton website makes it look like the rooms have been updated as well. This room was horrible! Cracked and peeling paint everywhere, rusty and cracked shower, threadbare carpet. I was totally grossed out. If I'd been staying more than one night I would have left. Felt like a total bait and switch by Hilton. That said, I'm not sure how much of this is the hotel's fault or deception by Hilton. I found all the staff to be friendly and professional and feel a little bad posting such a bad review but I wish I'd known better before booking that gross room.

While the bed was comfortable, having sheets that fit the bed would have been nice. I made the bed 3 or 4 times during the night because the fitted sheet wasn't fitted very well. Come to find out, even after having them change the sheets, it really didn't matter. I made the bed 2 or 3 times the second night. The sliding door to the balcony was a pain to open and close, the view was very nice, river view, but traffic is very noticeable even with the sliding door closed. I'd stay there again, I just hope they get the correct sheets. Great little bar inside. Really enjoyed the fact that there were people in there.

You couldn’t ask for better staff. So friendly and helpful! The room definitely needs some updates. The sliding door to the balcony opens extremely hard, the shower wasn’t great and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. For the price it did seem odd that there was no refrigerator or microwave. The pool area was beautiful. Very nice atmosphere with gorgeous views.

I do not typically go out of my way to write reviews; however, this hotel was my worst stay EVER, and I think people deserve to be warned. The service at this hotel is TERRIBLE. My husband's watch was stolen from our room and Lawrence, who works the front desk, was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful. Even after explaining the importance of that watch to us (it was a family heirloom) and the urgency we felt in finding it, he did not demonstrate even the slightest bit of empathy or concern for us. I have no clue how or why he is in the hospitality business... there are plenty of jobs out there that require zero people skills- he should find one. In addition to our watch being stolen and the pathetic service, there were not any towels in our room upon arrival, room felt dirty and old, and frankly, I did not want to take my shoes off the entire time I was in my room due to giant carpet stains everywhere. I could keep going but you get the point. You'd be better off saving your money and staying in a tent or car. Plus, then you won't have to deal with the RUDE service and thieves, who are their employees. Apparently, per the police officer that responded, this hotel is known for stealing its guests' belongings... Anyways, I wish I could give negative stars; this hotel is a massive yikes.

Girlfriend and I arrived from out of town to stay at this hotel. The check in process was smooth and fine. Once we got off the elevator to go to our room is where the trouble began. The hallway was extremely dull, dark, and depressing. The baseboards were dirty. Paint chipping on walls and doors. We entered our room (a king suite facing the river). Bathroom was atrocious with mold, mildew, soap scum, etc all over the place. The shower faucet was dripping and couldn’t be stopped. The handle to the shower was tarnished and extremely unsightly. The floor was dirty. Holes on the floor and the baseboards. The balcony, while facing the river was extremely unwelcoming and not a place you’d want to sit, it also was above a trash/back parking area. We requested a room change and we were accommodated. The only rooms available were doubles and that was fine. New room on a new floor with the exact same issues except this time there were also food crumbs on the floor, giving evidence to the lack of attention given to cleaning the rooms. Of course when you see dirty bathrooms, dirty floors, broken baseboards and more you question if you even want to lay your head there and sleep. Ultimately we decided to leave and cancel our reservation. For the price of this room we expected a LOT better. We paid almost $100 less for a lower tier brand hotel and had a much cleaner and elevated experience. The cleanliness, customer service, and overall feel of the hotel gave more of a “motel” feel. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay at this hotel. Seeing signs that say “park at your own risk” are also unbecoming of a hotel with this price point.

The room was spacious but our dog found a chicken nugget behind the tv stand/dresser, it didn’t look to old but that was discouraging to find within a few of checkin. We didn’t know we had to ask for a fridge. The bed was comfortable but our view was of a parking lot. It was easy with our dogs and we did enjoy the pool. We made the mistake of spending more at the steak house for one meal than our room cost, after that we ate at the restaurant near breakfast area, good sandwiches and fries too. For $19.95 each we ate breakfast buffet and then heard others talk it was less of a gold honors reward member, okay. We saw the fireworks from our room reflecting from the bldg across the river which was cool. The boardwalk was nice too, good views to take in. In all okay stay thanks to pool on a hot summer day. I still like double trees, but this one is aging. Room service was loud in the hallways, I had to work during our stay. The halls and elevator smelled of cannabis, a lot, you’d get on and then hope others wouldn’t think it was you, it really was the people before us.

Sadly, this hotel left little to be desired. The rooms were old and outdated. On the night of our stay, they conveniently didn’t tell us that a “disco party” was going to happen at the pool until 12:00 AM! Our third-floor room faces the pool. Therefore, we had to deal with loud music and drunk people screaming regularly. The vibe was horrible and insensitive to people that have traveled all day and have young children. If you do have to stay here, ask for a room NOT facing the pool. I will say, however, the staff was helpful in getting supplies we needed.

This hotel is in desperate need of a deep cleaning and remodel. I arrived to the hotel around 9pm. All I wanted was a shower and bed. There was a cup with spilled beer in the elevator and no one to clean it up. At first glance, my room had stains on the carpet, paint chipping off all the walls and smelled musty. I was missing the hairdryer so I called down to request one. The front desk lady was polite and said she would try to find one and bring it to my room. She knocked on my door and said she couldn’t find one. I asked her to enter my room because I needed to show her something. I pretty much live in hotels because of work. I make it a habit of pulling back the bed covers and inspecting the sheets before I lay on them. When I looked at the bed half of the sheets were coming off the bed. The bed had been made but the sheets were never changed and I could see the body grime and oils from the person who had slept on the bed prior. This is what I showed the front desk lady. She was filling in from a sister location. She immediately said she would move me to another room and that hopefully this room would also have a hairdryer. She walked me to the new room and waited for me to inspect the bed and made sure there was a hairdryer before leaving. She said she would let management know about this issue in the morning. When I went to jump in the shower the shower head had mildew all over it from a leak that seems to have been there for years. The next morning on my way to breakfast I went to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. I wanted to make sure management was aware of the issue. I was told she was away from her office but would be returning sometime and would be made aware of the situation. I asked to speak to the manager again at checkout. The front desk girl went back to get the manager but then returned saying the manager was aware of my situation and was giving me points, something I never asked for. I said, ‘she’s not coming out?’ The girl replied saying I would be getting points for my issue and they would appear in my account in a week or so but she couldn’t tell me how many points. The manager never bothered coming out to apologize to me or reassure me that she would take care of the situation so that in the future myself or other guests wouldn’t have the same experience of sleeping on dirty bed sheets. As a Diamond member with Hilton I at least expected that courtesy. I also never received any points but I expected that wouldn’t happen when the front desk girl couldn’t tell me how many points I would be receiving. This was just a tactic to make me go away because the manager didn’t want to deal with me. If this is how a Diamond member is treated at this hotel by management I highly recommend staying at a different hotel. How a facility runs starts at the top. This location definitely has poor management and seems to be understaffed. Don’t expect any issues to be handled to your favor and as run down as this hotel is you will have issues.

We arrived around 1am last night, after a 3+ hour drive. I immediately went to the restroom in the lobby and every single stall was dirty. At check in, we were met with reception who was not personable but provided us with a bag with 2 waters and 2 cookies. I asked if there was any cinnamon and she said she didn’t think so, I’m allergic to cinnamon… the ingredients listed that the cookies had cinnamon. When we arrived to the room, it smelled of mildew and looked nothing like the pictures advertised. Stains on the floor and walls cracked. It was late and we just needed rest. When I came down in the morning to ask if we would be charged for the 2nd night if we checked out early due to the low quality and unsatisfactory room and we were told no. The receptionist with the long, pretty nails was not personable and showed no concern or hospitality towards my concern with the room. She also said “if we came down earlier we could have had breakfast,” and said, “yes, we arrived late and needed rest, no worries about breakfast.” No smiles, no friendly service, no concern. I booked a nearby hotel and explained the poor quality and service and they were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early due to check out at Doubletree being at noon. Will not book this hotel again. It felt like a burden to the staff to have even stayed there.

I wish I would have read these reviews prior to booking as the last few I read are very accurate. The check-in process was easy. I got to check in early and got upgraded to a king riverview room, but the room was awful and very outdated. I asked for a different room but was advised that only 2 double beds were available, so I just stayed in the room I had on the 9th floor. I asked if any of the rooms had refrigerators and they told me you have to request them and housekeeping will bring one up if available, I thought it was odd but thankfully I was able to get one. The bed was comfortable, but the room was outdated and dirty. The toilet paper holder was rusted/ tarnished, the shower wouldn't drain, and the shower door track was moldy. The sliding door was extremely hard to open and wouldn't close properly. The bottom line is the cost of the room for a "top tier" hotel chain did not match the room I got. The breakfast was definitely overpriced. The bar was small and not even open on the Saturday night we wanted to utilize our beverage credit. Hope this review and these pictures help others before spending $250+ on a room at this hotel.

Definitely do not recommend staying here. The location and the friendly staff was the only bright side to this visit. This is more of a motel than a hotel. It needs a major overhaul renovation. The room smelled terrible, the furnishings were worn down and there was rust and soap scum everywhere. Also the tubs are all damaged and stained and the ceiling had hair on it.

Worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in since I was a broke college student. Old and dated is one thing. The tiny bathroom had no room to put our toiletries. The lighting was god awful. I had to put on my makeup using my handheld mirror standing by a window. We stayed 3 nights and only had two bath towels and 2 hand towels along with one bar of soap we had to use for the sink and the shower. We asked for washcloths and never received them. The only saving grace for this hotel was the nice lady who checked us in, the valet, and the bartender. All very good employees working at a crummy hotel. They deserve better. The housekeeping staff needs help. Location is great if you’re going to the stadium. The water taxi is super convenient. I will never stay here again unless it gets renovated. I cannot believe we paid that much for such a trashy hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Brittany over the phone at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Riverfront, and I must express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional customer service she provided. From the moment Brittany answered the phone, her cheerful and professional demeanor was evident. Her warm greeting immediately made me feel valued as a guest, and her genuine willingness to assist set the tone for a positive interaction. One of the notable aspects of Brittany's customer service was her clear and articulate communication. She patiently addressed all my inquiries, providing detailed information about room options, amenities, and any special promotions available during my stay. Her knowledge and proficiency in conveying information made the reservation process smooth and straightforward. Brittany's attentiveness to my needs and preferences was truly commendable. She took the time to understand my specific requirements, ensuring that my stay would meet and exceed expectations. Her proactive approach in offering additional information, such as details about the hotel's dining options and nearby attractions, demonstrated a commitment to ensuring a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for guests. Despite the limitations of a phone conversation, Brittany's friendly and positive attitude resonated throughout our discussion. Her patience and willingness to address all my queries with enthusiasm created a sense of trust and reassurance, making me confident in my decision to choose DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Riverfront for my upcoming stay.

I should have read the RECENT reviews for this hotel because that gives a more accurate description of how disgusting this hotel is. Most of the good reviews are from many YEARS ago. I’m convinced the manager at this hotel is either incompetent or intentionally trying to run this hotel into the ground. Not sure why. Our first room (431) had a broken thermostat so they moved us to a different room. They must have known the thermostat is broken in that room, right!? Or maybe they don’t care. We booked two (expensive) nights at this hotel for 2 adults and 2 kids, requiring a crib. And although a crib was booked, they never brought one. And the hotel never provided a refrigerator. And there isn’t a microwave. For almost $300/night that is ridiculous. The room was dirty all over. Soiled carpet, stained walls. Broken balcony door. Pretty much on par with other recent reviews. Don’t be fooled, this is not comparable to other Hilton hotels. I bet the Econolodge down the road is cleaner. Oh and the room key didn’t work at the parking garage, so we had to pay with credit card to get out and then they charge the parking fee on top of that. We mentioned it to staff and they said the manager wasn’t available …at 11 am…on a weekday. Fire this manager now Hilton.

We were not happy about having to pay $20 to park in their garage on top of the $159/night price we paid for a room with no microwave, refrigerator, or washcloths (hand towels and towels were provided). I suppose we could have requested washcloths, so that's our fault. The hotel had an "old" smell, as well as a mildewy smell in some areas. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony that overlooked the river, so that was nice, and the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

the room smelled like weed, the sink did not drain properly and the sliding glass door to the balcony does not close properly and by that I mean there's a gap with the frame that allows the You would need to fix or replace the sliding glass door. The rail for the door is also full of dirt that impedes proper functioning of the door. It hasn't been cleaned in 10 years air outside into the room.

Carpets are filthy. They all need to be replaced. The shower floor is dirty. They don't even have complimentary coffee in the morning. They want you to pay for their watered-down coffee. They didn't provide us with shampoo, conditioner, or any of that; I'm glad I had my own. Very poorly kept hotel.

First of all they have to CLEARLY note that breakfast is $20/person AND parking $20/night!!! This alone should’ve scared me away! Rooms are way outdated and need renovations. Even the balcony sliding door needs a bodybuilder to open! Housekeeping is very poor also. THE ONLY EXCEPTIONAL THING I EXPERIENCED IS THE FRONT DESK ASSISTANT “Britney” shout out to her and I hope her manager recognizes her and know how well she is with their guests! She did make a difference in our family stay at this hotel.

This place is in need of a refresh. A complete refresh, not the same as bringing in an updated vanity, which was, apparently, done a few years ago. The carpet is stained in a number of places, the sink doesn't drain if the water is turned on too high, the shower drips even when the handle is absolutely off and the water here must be very hard, the shower fixtures look like milk. Anyhow, I cannot recommend this as a place to stay. The river view is nice and, depending on who you get, the front desk can be friendly.

Hotel is old. Beds are full size in the double bed rooms. Carpet is old and doesn't look clean. Lobby was nice. Ladies at the front desk are welcoming. Pool is nasty. Rooms definitely need renovated. Shower door wasnt clean. Sliding door going out onto balcony is super hard to open. We stayed here the night before our cruise, one night is long enough for me. BEWARE- No free continental breakfast. Breakfast is 19.95 a person.

Great location! Walking distance to tons of things to do. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable but a bit worn. Only complaint is that the balcony door's lock did not work.

Make sure to use when booking any room. This web site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you won't regret it. Great location! Walking distance to tons of things to do. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable but a bit worn. Only complaint is that the balcony door's lock did not work.

I have stayed at other Hilton locations this year and in the past. Hands down REMODEL sooner than later, our shower leaked we extended our stay the other rooms faucet was broken it’s just non-impressive and I see a thread on other reviews. The staff only a few out of the handful at the front desk wee happy to be there or happy to provide superb customer service. The valet guy was so super friendly made my day. I think I will be searching for other hotels when I travel.

We had a reunion there and it was enjoyable. The staff was very attentive to our needs and was very helpful. We had a riverview room with a balcony. The only things that could have been better was for the room to have a microwave and a small refrigerator. The other issue was that the shower door did not seal well, and water was puddled all over the bathroom floor. Still, we would recommend this hotel for any travelers to Jacksonville, Florida, for a pleasant stay, reunion, wedding reception etc.

This place was chosen in advance of and for a reunion. The banquets and breakfasts, including food and service was top notch. The rooms were acceptable but were in need of a renovation. Cleanliness was an issue during our stay. The bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned for quite a while and I found an old sock on the handrail of the stairs between floors 5 & 6. The staff was very friendly, professional and accommodating. Nice people but there are better options in the immediate area.

It is an excellent value for the incredible location in the heart of Jacksonville. They did mess up our room on the first night of a three night stay by giving us a double instead of the booked king, we were too tired to argue and made the best of it. The next day Susan at the front desk did an excellent job of getting us the room we requested. The rooms themselves seem to be in need of minor maintenance with power outlets not fully installed in the walls and other painting and caulking issues, but the bed was very comfortable and the view from the balcony of downtown Jacksonville is excellent. I will definitely consider staying here again.

This Doubletree location has a very friendly staff at the guest services counter as well some hospitable housekeeping workers. Everyone smiles and speaks on a daily basis. The rooms are decent. Could use a bit of an upgrade but still suitable. The balcony is a major bonus. Overall my stay was very good and I would most definitely stay again.

This is a great location on the airport property, making it easy to fly in and out. We came in for a wedding and had a great time at this Doubletree. The hotel offers shuttles to local restaurants and shopping that was super handy. The team members were excellent, from the Frequency Restaurant (Mark and Jeanne, especially, Jeanne) to the front desk (Latoya King) to the shuttle drivers (Christian and Jose) to the maintenance and house keeping (Felicia and Dominique) - all went out of their way to accommodate our questions, concerns and needs and all very friendly. We really liked the friendliness and attentive care we received at this hotel. Thank you, Hilton, for above-the-mark team members!
