The rooms in the tower are... Okay... If you don't mind a small bathroom. If your room number starts with a seven or higher... Good luck. You are in the 1970s Holiday inn out back. You will definitely get your steps in getting out to your room from the lobby. Front desk service is above average. Restaurant service, food, prices, drinks, wait times are well below the norm. Do not eat here. You will starve before your food arrives and you will end up paying two to three times the value of what you get. Drinks are not priced appropriately for a second rate. Hotel bar, at the airport. Overall, the hotel needs a serious refresh. Attention should also be paid to maintenance. The elevators are not in great shape. There is also a massive plumbing leak in the lobby.

This review is 100% true and accurate. I had a room with balcony/porch facing the pool. The door to get into the hotel from the back parking area is broken so anyone can come in. Soon as I open my room door there is a chocolate milk cap on the bed. My daughter said “ewwww”. Found some hair clippers and necklace in the draw. An electrical outlet hanging completely out the wall. Some kind of stains running down the wall.. the shower backed up so my feet was taking a bath while I was showering. The balcony door was so loose it was scary. Then 8-9 am housekeeping opened the door but then left. I would definitely pass up on this hotel from now on. Not recommended If only I could post the pictures

When we first arrived after a long day of traveling, we were greeted by the smell of raw sewage, attempted to be masked by an overwhelming aroma of some sort of floral air freshener. It was so potent we were choking. We dreaded going to the lobby because of how bad it smelled, and passed up on eating at the restaurant because we were worried the smell would affect the way the food tasted. Anyways, rooms were okay. Outdated, the AC didn’t work, the shower turned off for a few seconds when you would change the water temp, bed was so ITCHY. We left our stay with bites. Not going to correlate it to the bed since we didn’t see anything, but we felt something for sure. Lastly, upon checkout, I went to go pay my room charge statement. About $30 or so. I ended up being charged $500 (and the pin pad display was black so I couldn’t see the actual number of the transaction, sketchy). I called the front desk to ask what happened, they claimed there was an issue with my booking so they had to recharge me (completely untrue, the original booking charge is displayed right on my CC statement). They said they would refund me and then ended up charging me ANOTHER $536. I’m still trying to figure it out with my credit card company since the hotel can’t get it right. Would not recommend at all.

This is a great location on the airport property, making it easy to fly in and out. We came in for a wedding and had a great time at this Doubletree. The hotel offers shuttles to local restaurants and shopping that was super handy. The team members were excellent, from the Frequency Restaurant (Mark and Jeanne, especially, Jeanne) to the front desk (Latoya King) to the shuttle drivers (Christian and Jose) to the maintenance and house keeping (Felicia and Dominique) - all went out of their way to accommodate our questions, concerns and needs and all very friendly. We really liked the friendliness and attentive care we received at this hotel. Thank you, Hilton, for above-the-mark team members!

So-so experience! Definitely an older hotel and not well-maintained. The staff deserves 5* especially in the Frequency restaurant (thank you for being such a sweet angel, Jeanne!!) The room had a musty smell and the floor and carpet were not clean. Shower gel pump did not work. Our original room that we booked was not ready so we got another one next to the elevator which was not very convenient due to the noise after our baby fell asleep! The shuttle service is great though! We came for the location to catch an early flight so it worked but probably would not be my first choice next time.

Super close to the airport and super convenient. Breakfast buffet was fresh and hot. If Ashley is working the breakfast, you won't be disappointed in her service. Friendly smile and pleasant. Nice facility and very clean rooms. Reminded me of 'old days' when you got into a room and it smelled great and didn't smell of disinfectant.

This review is long overdue but my husband and I traveled to Amelia Island for our 10 year anniversary and got caught in Hurricane Nicole. We ended up getting stuck and unable to travel home. It was such a blessing that the Double Tree came to our rescue as they were mostly booked but they set us up with an amazing room and the staff were so friendly. They had a cozy restaurant with free breakfast buffet and full menu of breakfast options. They made the experience go from dreadful to memorable! We are so thankful especially to Kerry who was spectacular and went above and beyond to make our stay a special one! Five stars! 🌟

Great conveniently located hotel located right outside the Jacksonville Airport. The rooms were spacious, and depending on how you book the room, you can get a poolside balcony which is super easy to bounce back and forth between the pool, restaurant and lobby. The rooms were clean and well stocked with towels and everything else you need for a great stay. The Frequency Bar and Restaurant had great service and the food and desserts were pretty good.

Very nice hotel! This hotel is connected to the airport! Pretty convenient. There is a shuttle that takes you to and from the hotel. The staff was very welcoming and nice. They also helped me out nicely when I had a mix up with my reservation. The free warm cookie and water on arrival was delish. Room was very clean. Beds were comfy. They do not have free continental breakfast. They do have a restaurant on site tho. Outdoor salt water pool looks beautiful. This airport is 20 minutes away from Jaxport carnival cruise port.

Located next to the airport. Hotel has a big salt water pool with beautiful pool area. Big restaurant with breakfast buffet. Rooms are nice and clean and beds are comfortable. Bathroom is stocked and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking.

Staff was great! Jeanne in restaurant was phenomenal! Friendly, fast, caring, funny, great all around care and service. Also Holly at the bar/restaurant in evening was so sweet, fast and handled a conflict perfectly. Housekeeping staff very attentive. Unfortunately that is where it stops. Lobby is nice but the room we were in was dilapidated, mold on wall, peeling wall and paint, drains were slow. Water pressure no good.

Despite being close to the airport, the shuttle took a long time to arrive (30+ minutes, watched other hotel shuttles make multiple round trips during our wait). When we checked in, the room’s door lock didn’t work, so I had a nice wait for maintenance to replace the battery after a full day of travel. Room was fairly clean but had several bugs and the shower’s water pressure was barely more than a trickle. Will not be staying here again.

An older hotel, could use a refresh. Rooms were clean and front desk staff were great, but the hotel restaurant seemed unsure how to serve customers. I walked down from my room rather than pay the 22% gratuity and $3 room delivery fee and ordered a flatbread. Three servers later I'm not sure the order would have been placed had I not pushed it. It took twenty-five minutes as I waited and none of the staff seemed to care. If you have a late night layover and an early flight the next day this is the perfect hotel for you. Otherwise I recommend you cast further afield.

Great staff, friendly, great location. Clean room, and surprisingly quiet given the proximity to the airport. There is a shuttle that will take you places if you need to go. Jim is a friendly and helpful driver. I’m pretty sure I had an updated room. The door in #510 had about an 1” gap under it and it was super noisy when opening and closing. I wouldn’t let this stop you from staying, just a note. I was able to block the light with a towel.

For a little more than $100/night and proximity to airport it’s a good deal. And I didn’t hear airport noise (but there might not be planes landing or taking off after 10pm-6:00am). And the rooms are a decent size. The HVAC system is quite loud, and runs continuously unless you manually turn it off. And when you turn it off, you hear everything from the rooms next door- I had a loud cougher next to my room, so the air con went back on. The bed is not great, not like other chains that tout the comfort of their beds, but it was one night for 5 hours and was easy to the airport. Not sure I’d do it again but it worked in a pinch.

I stayed one night to get my flight early the next morning. Everyone was kind and helpful. I can't say too much about the restaurant except for the fact that I won't go back.

As someone who was a Diamond HHonors member for a couple years when I was travelling for work, I am very familiar with the Hilton brand. So I was very surprised to find that many of the attractants to the DoubleTree hotel are no longer offered. For example, the evening reception is only open to Gold and Diamond members, and the breakfast is now $21 per person. The DoubleTree is not the cheapest option, but the return was previously worth it. That is no longer the case. I still love the Hilton brand, and their hotels are consistently clean and comfortable, but with the reduction of amenities being offered, I likely won't shell out the additional expense for a DoubleTree again anytime soon.

Hotel is in great need of upgrades and renovations. Sulfur came from the faucets in the bathroom and the bathroom was extremely small. House keeping was knocking on our doors before check-out. Our suite was a very nice size, however the sofa was worn and there was a chair that was partially broken. Glad our stay was only one night.

Had visiting friend stay here for early airport flight. It’s very over due an update. There was an odor . Musty? The rooms had not been cleaned well and it appeared to be an ongoing problem. Grime in the shower. Hotel staff unfazed I guess they hear these complaints all the time.(told problems above my pay grade).it is convienent to the airport.

We checked in after midnight with Ami at the front desk. It had been a long day of travel and she understood what we had been through! Quick check in process and top notch hospitality. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would definitely stay here again!

No cool air for the conference rooms. Terrible heat. The hotel should have provided more fans or any. Elevators smells horribly and are hot! I do not wish to return to this hotel. Way below Hilton standards.

If you are planning to attend a convention at this hotel you can know ahead of time, at no point could the air conditioning keep up and made the convention space warm, damp and musty. Youll want to bring a fan or other device to keep cool. This hotel feels outdated and need of updating.

Stayed here while traveling for business. The room I was given forced me to walk around the entire hotel, which was constructed like a maze, and at the final doorway my luggage couldn't fit through and I had to reorient everything to fit. The room itself wasn't too bad.

  • 3/5 Sarah H. 7 months ago on Google
Going middle of the road as the customer service, shuttle, and location were excellent. You can walk there in about 10 mins. But the hotel itself needs some help. The water from the faucets smells really bad. The rooms have the strong smell of disinfectant, I think to cover up another smell. I kept getting wafts of musty smell beneath the fabuloso disinfectant. Some of my towels had lipstick on them. Just didn’t feel super clean there.

Poor experience all the way around. Baseboards were filthy which obviously showed the lack of detail in cleaning the place. There was a literal hole in my my mattress several feet long and there were water leaks all through the lobby (it wasn't even raining). The worst was the staff. In every single interaction with staff they were curt to down right rude and made me feel like I was imposing on them for being there. Would definitely not stay here again or recommend it to anyone else.

Be ware. So I booked 3 junior sweets for around 300$ a room for one night. I had my family with me so there was a lot of stuff and bags. Long story short I forgot some clothes and hair products in the bathroom of one of my rooms, so I came back 12 hours after checkout and asked the staff to help me retrieve it. After an hour of waiting they told me to call lost and found in the morning. So I did. Of course no one answered me. They texted me an hour later saying sorry we can’t find your things and just kept stalling me from then. I’m greatly disappointed that a hotel of this caliber would do something like this. I know I left my stuff there. So I know that either it was thrown or stolen. I didn’t even get a formal apology or any compensation. I know I am at fault for forgetting my stuff. However I didn’t forget them in the street. This is a 5 star hotel.

We travel often and I was very disappointed with this stay. When we arrived the room had a musky smell to it. We turned the AC unit on and water started leaking from the AC. Instead of moving us to another room, the front desk had maintenance come in to fix it. There was no body wash in the bathroom. It was completely empty. Luckily, we travel with all of our toiletries. As far as sleeping arrangements go, the bed was comfortable and there were tons of pillows. There was rust on the carpet under the nightstand and the carpet had a horrible look, feel, and smell. The elevators are a little questionable as one minute they are working, and the next they are not. They also close right on you. Parking here is terrible. There was no parking after 10pm. We had to drive around for 25 mins to find a spot. We called the front desk and they asked us if we checked the entire lot (which we did) and there wasn’t much they could do. The maintenance man was probably the nicest person we came across here. If you can afford it, book somewhere a little nicer!

I always thought getting a great hotel room meant paying big bucks. That changed when I found HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm Now, I get rooms like this without emptying my wallet, and it feels awesome. Nice facility and very clean rooms. Reminded me of 'old days' when you got into a room and it smelled great and didn't smell of disinfectant.

Blissful sleep on luxurious beds and pillows—nothing better after a long flight. 24 hr on demand shuttle is a lifesaver. A cozy fire pit seating outside, pretty pond with fountain, saltwater pool, and lots of places to chill out makes it nice for longer stay. Super efficient desk and restaurant team.

LaToya front desk was very courteous, room wasn't ready yet but she did a great job of me not waiting long, thank you for breakfast, it was delicious!! Room was outstanding, comfortable bed. Ate dinner in the restaurant, Mark was our waiter, very pleasant, he suggested a few things, all we're delicious, drinks also😊 would highly recommend this hotel, can't wait to visit again!!

Rooms are old and outdated. Dirty with caked dust on light fixtures. The air conditioner sounded like a plane taking off. Toilet continued to run. The king room we booked was oversold with no apologies. Staff was rude. Don’t come with a lot of luggage because it is a long walk to the room. Have to pay to park. There are much better options right outside of the airport.

We had a good stay, check I was easy with a polite lady and our room was available 2 hours before check in which was appreciated! Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, only one server for the whole place but Holly was wonderful and view outside was perfect. I had airline chicken and my husband had a burger and we both left happy and full. Our room was clean and comfortable, we would stay again. I would just like to say the shower does NOT drain and the water pressure made it very difficult to wash long hair. The flip drain only stayed open if you kept your toe in it lol. But like I said everything else was great!

Overall great hotel. The staff I encountered was very nice and pleasant. From the front desk clerk to the house keeping lady. Check-in was very smooth and easy. Room was nice and clean, every day. Bathroom is very small but no big deal. The air didn’t seem to be working very well. It wasn’t hot but it wasn’t the coldest. Over all a good place to stay. I’d return if I’m ever in the area again.

First time here long time Hilton fan. Hotel is basically at the airport. Got a flight at 630am and wanted to be close and get some sleep. Hotel looks like it would have been the place to go in the 80s it's a bit dated but not horrible. Room was nicer then the initial impression. Clean as others mentioned I could also smell the nice smell stuff they heavily used but not over powering. Looks clean and the balcony was a nice option as I checked in early and I have some shade. Would stay again for sure.

We arrived at the hotel warm multiple people were checking in on a Friday night. They had one very nice lady at the desk trying to manage the entire front desk check in along with phones. Management needs to staff appropriately and not have one person. I felt bad for the front desk lady. She was professional efficient and polite. I expect much better from Hilton. Shame on management.

The room felt very cheaply put together. There was broken drawers, and tattered up carpet. The AC did not work, and had a message that it needed service on the thermostat. On a positive, the shower had very hot water and great pressure. The front desk staff was very professional and extremely courteous. The hotels proximity to the airport made its shortcomings acceptable, but I wouldn’t want to stay there more than the one night I was there.

  • 4/5 Christina 1 year ago on Google
The room was a little run down although the mattress was one of the best I have been on in a hotel. The place could use an update. I have to mention the hotel is so close to the airport that we walked back after returning our rental car. We were in a room by the pool and a lot of kids were playing right until ten. We had to get up at 4am to catch a flight. Next time we will ask for a room away from the pool.

Our stay was only for one night, but it was the best sleep we've had in a long time! Rooms were clean, bright, and amenities were top notch. Well done, Nathaly - we loved our stay!

The location was very convenient, 2 min from the airport, with plenty of parking if you show up with a car. In spite of the proximity to the airport, there was hardly any airplane noise and it was surprisingly quiet. The only jet noise came from the nearby Air Force base. It was easy get out to head into town, convenient to get back in. The service was very friendly and I felt welcome. The rooms are a bit dated but clean. The gym was nicely kept, has all essentials, including water fountain and bathrooms. The pool is a bit older too, but plenty of seating around the pool, big enough for kids to play. The hotel internal restaurant Frequency was nice. Event though it was pretty busy for dinner (exclusively hotel guests), service was quick. Food quality was good, plenty of choices. Breakfast was good as well. $29 was a bit steep though for the buffet, there is a separate list of individual breakfast items.

Love this location right at the airport! First room had a broken TV which was replaced immediately by an outstanding customer service technician Kevin. He was professional and courteous with a great attitude. The next morning the shower clogged so the wonderful desk clerk named Latoya moved me to a room facing the pool!!! I am very happy with this location and the excellent customer service experience from employees who put the customer first. The beds were comfy and the room was super clean. It would have to be because the pilots stay here. I also saw a few military folks. I would definitely stay here again.

Was good for the night. The room was fine, it's an airport hotel. Good for a night. The restaurant was actually good, the server was really nice. Now comes the reason they're only getting three stars. We specifically stayed here for the parking package. One night and 7 days of parking is included, it worked for our trip. Issue was the shuttle. Our flight came in after 11pm and we were waiting at the number 6 pole, per the hotel's instructions. After waiting for 15 minutes the shuttle drives right on by, never slowed down or stopped, I even waved at him to stop... We then had to wait another 30 minutes. Terrible shuttle service and the hotel desk rep seemed like they couldn't even help when my wife called. If it helps, the shuttle ordeal was 1130pm 10/7/22

The indoor restaurant and salt water pool were the best part of our stay. Shoutout to our server Mark Jamaica in the restaurant. He was very pleasant. The mussels and salmon I highly recommend from the menu. I don’t recommend spending $21 for the breakfast buffet. The bacon and maybe the biscuits and gravy were the only things with flavor and it just wasn’t worth the costs. As for the room, the sink clogged up as we brushed our feet and there was a blood stain on our blanket. I think for what we paid for the room…they could’ve done a lot better.

The location was super convenient and very clean. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. We are honors members so we were offered an upgrade. It wasn’t ready immediately so they wanted to make it right which wasn’t necessary. They went out of their way to make it the best stay ever. Definitely the most pleasant experience I’ve had. Loved it! Moh at the front desk was amazing and made us feel like we were super important. I would highly recommend staying here.

Booked this hotel somewhat last minute for the Georgia-Florida game. Although the hotel itself is a bit dated and in need of some updating, overall it was a great stay! We took advantage of the airport shuttle service, as well as the restaurant/bar for food and drinks after the game and then breakfast the next morning prior to our flight (which was really good food). Will definitely stay here again!

ATTENTION! ATTENTION! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The hotel is OLD, DATED and MUSTY SMELL! It is definitely below the Hilton standard. Ended up checking out a day early. The combined cost with taxes and fees was $220. But the service level worth be $50.00

he airport (my flight got canceled and I had no where to go). I found this hotel that was 3 min away with excellent ratings. The staff, upon arrival (and when departing) was super welcoming and kind- they answered every question I had and directed me to where I needed to go. The room was very big and clean! They also made checking in/out very easy. If I’m ever in the area again, I would 100% stay in this hotel. Already recommending it to friends and family! Thank you so much!

Good option if you have an early flight. There is long term parking available. We stayed in what I suspect was an older part of the hotel but the room had been recently nicely updated. Front desk guy was great. 5 stars for the bartender. She was outstanding.

Truthfully, the rooms are what broke me on this visit. The good, The beds are fantastic! They are perfectly soft and the variety of pillows meet your range of needs. Water is hot. The main lobby is beautiful. The onsite restaurant has good food and service. The meh, The rooms are overall dated. Bathroom fixtures are old and badly in need of a refresh. The steel with wood veneer cabinetry is industrial at best. As DoubleTree is supposed to be an upscale Hilton brand, I don't get it. There is no obvious plug for the coffee service. The in room coffee makers suck. The one cup two cup makers are a compromise design that just shouldn't exist. It would be better to have a small carafe drip maker, and probably cheaper. The backside of the hotel is a meandering maze for the "seventh and eighth" floors. This would be cool if these rooms were somehow differentiated (better furnishings, paid and balconies, kitchenettes, etc). But they are the exact same as everywhere room, so it feels like a significant downgrade. The bad. My only serious complaint is the gym. The universal machine is USELESS. One of the stack pins is being used to attach handles to the cables and the majority of the handles is missing. You cannot use the lat bar at all as there is no way to attach it. I can see two ways to fix this. The least cost would be to procure new bars and two replacement caribeaners. The longer term but more expensive solution is to replace the machine with an updated model.

The staff was very friendly, professional, and welcoming. We appreciated them allowing us to check in early. It is located in one of the airport terminals; free shuttle to the airport is a plus. But it was a bit away from shopping centers unless you drive. Only stayed there one night due to an early flight the very next morning. Overall, I would recommend it.

I did the check in at the front desk because of my special rate, was quick and efficiently. The property it’s in a beautiful location, with multiple restaurants and place to go around the area. Most of the places around the hotel closed no later than 8:30 pm-9:09, but I’m sure that may have to do something with the day (Monday). The rooms were cleaned as expected, the only thing the carpets seems to be a little bit outdated but other than that, was a great experience. Lastly, the self-parking cost $20 overnight, the gate was open and I got charge meaning they would have never know anyways but to go in and out you should used room key. If you used the phone app for the room key you will key a hard key to go in and out of the parking garage.

This was honestly an awful experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!! The room that we booked was absolutely disgusting. There was so much grime on the shower, I didn't even want to use it. It looked like it was never once cleaned. The peep hole in the room had toilet paper stuffed in it?? When I was able to get another room, the TV was broken, and it was still rather filthy. The woman at the service desk was kind, but even made it a point to tell me to read the reviews because of how bad they are, said she had no problem checking us out with a refund because she had told the cleaning staff and manager how gross the rooms are so many times and nothing changed, and we weren't the first this happened to. The gate to parking is broken, and we paid for nothing - it doesn't close at all. There is no safety parking there, but you still have to pay??? Just disgusting that a manager would even allow this for their guests. They must not enjoy having happy customers.

Not horrible but not great. Other reviews about musty smell are accurate, but seemed to be central to the elevator shaft and not the room (5th floor). The room was clean, but much of the facility is dated, fixtures in room are in desperate need of replacement. In the good side, the room was reasonably priced, and Airport shuttle runs 24 /7 and is only 8 minutes from the terminal.

  • 4/5 Matt J. 9 months ago on Google
Extremely convenient location if your late flight gets canceled. They had a weird issue when I was there where the elevator button to go up from lobby didn’t work so you had to go through service corridors and take the service elevator up. Seemed awkward. Hope they get that fixed soon.

Definitely the worst Hilton I’ve stayed in to date. Location is great, I was working at the Amazon and it’s just minutes away as well as the airport. But seeing as I do a lot of work online and I couldn’t get the internet to stay connected longer than 5 minutes at a time, getting any work done was strenuous. I’ve called three times over three days about getting another room with a better connection to be answered with them being all booked up three nights in a row. Unfortunately I have another week here and will probably have to work from the lobby. Just inconvenient when you don’t have headphones and don’t want to disturb people. Complimentary breakfast in advertised on the website but the breakfast buffet is $22 and with the lack of people in the lobby restaurant at breakfast time, I can’t imagine it is worth it. Water pressure in my room wasn’t great and the wallpaper looked like it was plastered on by my son. LOL. Pretty quiet for it being such a close proximity to the airport. All around I’d give it a 4/5 for a nights stay. 2/5 for anything longer than 2 nights.

King size bedroom on second floor was huge! Almost felt like a suite. Bathroom was pretty small, but it worked. The only and major downside is the bedroom is located right next to the 24- hours gym - a gym that has free-weights. People were working out with those weights at odd times of the night, dropping them and causing the room to shake, accompanied by loud sounds. There were incidents were this woke me out of my sleep. Additionally, the wall abutting the gym is paper thin, so you can hear all of the conversations from the gym, which was also very annoying. Overall, for the price, it was a reasonable stay - I would not go out of my way to try to stay there again in the future.
