This stay could have been a better experience. This place needs much improvement from the lack of friendliness of the reception, poor cleanliness of the room, and poor breakfast. The room feels outdated, with noise and dirt A/C, old and stained sheets, and a dirt barroom with rusting shower head. Abysmal quality breakfast. It felt that the sausages were overcooked in a microwave and tested terribly, and the coffee was also horrible. * Be aware of a $50.00 deposit charge for each day when you check in (I have paid my booking all fees online).

This hotel was a nightmare and so unprofessional. Our room did not have any hot water. We told the front desk and they moved us to a different room. The front desk clerk told us we were not the only ones complaining about this issue. However, the new room did not have hot water either and was actually COLDER. Why set us up in a different room and not even check the main issue to make sure it wouldn't happen again? It doesn't make any sense. On top of this issue, the sheets had dirty smudges on them, the remote for the tv would go in and out and the wifi was trash. We did not experience a homey, relaxing stay. When we checked out, all they could do was give us half off for one night, even though was had to unfortunately deal with these issues for 2 nights! I contacted the general manager about these issues and they said that what they gave us was more than enough and fair. Absolutely unprofessional and did not care about us as guests. Please go elsewhere.

My stay was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and courteous. Located just off JTB between Philips Hwy and I95, you can get just about anywhere in town expeditiously. The reason for the lower grade on the rooms is due to their being bought by MARRIOTT hotel, which doesn't have microwaves, so as they remodel the microwaves are being moved out. UPDATE UPDATE The remodel is almost finished and they have a new name, Delta by Marriott. Rooms are just as comfortable and luxurious as my last stay.

This is a negative review. If you want to read something positive, this is not the review for you. Where do I even begin; as mentioned in other reviews, The cleanliness of the rooms was laughable. My room in particular was not what I wanted to see after a 10 hour drive. There was a tacky white substance on a lot of the surfaces in the room, the vents were all incredibly dusty, the light across the hall was flickering all night, and the beds were not clean. On the sarcastic bright side, the sheets had a slight yellow tinge that complimented the small black hairs quite nicely. Fortunately, the hairs were only really noticeable on one of the beds. Finally, I would like to talk about the breakfast: the breakfast was sad. The options were incredibly limited which isn't atypical, but the eggs were cold and slimy, there was no waffle maker, no milk for the cereal, and the only halfway decent "food" I had was the danish. All in all, it's not the absolute worst hotel I've been to, but it's definitely on my naughty list. I didn't want to add this to the main review, so I'll just throw it in here: my wife and I had to wait in the lobby for 20+ minutes for someone to check us in. The guy was supposedly off helping someone with their key, but we had to be up early and it was already late. Not a great first impression. Also, when we checked out, the lady at the front desk tried to make excuses saying that they hire CONVICTS due to labor shortages. If you're looking for a place to stay, I would STAY away. Or don't. I'm not your mom.

Everything about this place was great EXCEPT they are doing renovations of the restaurant/bar area which was the reason I chose this hotel. They only had a cooler and a table with coffee which was by the elevator. The rooms though were modern and clean so I would still recommend it. It's close to the highway but I didn't hear loud noises. There was also sufficient parking.

The hotel is called Best Western Premier when it's booked. The hotel itself is in a good location the parking was a bit crowded but overall decent. The lobby area has great decor it smelled great and was clean. Checking was great night person was friendly and quick. Our room was well lit, clean, and comfortable. Some issues with bathroom outlet not working but overall it was great. I would stay again.

Our reservation from Thanksgiving day Thursday Nov 23 until Sunday Nov 26 was very unpleasant due to very poor customer service and accommodations, during our stay we suffered very bad incidents: the key of our room we had to programmed more than four times, we were in a fifth floor imagine to go downstairs everything that stopped working. On Friday morning I called the hotel front desk spoke with Joel ( I think that’s her name) I requested a hair dryer because in the room was none and never arrived it. On Saturday morning I called front desk again to ask if room service is going to be done to the room because I got to the room and no housekeeping service was done, I called the front desk person which I don’t recall the name said that was every two days, I said ok fine later on they will do it. Guess what? They never did it cause when I called again around 5pm Manuel which is a very nice and the only decent person I ever spoke in the hotel, told me that I needed to request it before 11am. Why the person that pickup the phone in the morning never told me that? Manuel very kind went upstairs provided me with clean towels. The hotel have free breakfast advertising and that’s one the REASONS we booked the hotel; let me tell you that there’s NO breakfast available whatsoever; we had to wait more than 20min to get one cup of coffee cause there we only 1 machine available and one person dispensing it said that they will have Starbucks open in the hotel lobby by mid-December . What kind of service is that? I mean if you cannot accommodate people during a REMODELING why stay open? My concern is that the hotel is taking money from people and not giving the service they are paying for. I’m very disappointed of the experience provided and If you are NOT ready to take guest and provide a good hospitality experience just wait until you finish your owner-transition to take customers cause is a shame to have a reservation on Premier Jacksonville and specially if you’re surround with a lot MORE BETTER OPTIONS. I will escalate the situation as far as I can cause is not a fair situation. For this reason 1 star is deserved.

The staff upon check in and in passing were very pleasant. The gentleman checking us in was awesome and hilarious. Was great talking to him. Cheered us up after a long day of travel. The day and evening staff always gave a passing "hello" and would ask if everyone was going well or if we needed anything. The ONLY reason I almost took 1 star off was due to the state of the tub. It was pretty beat up. I assume they are renovating, because the room, beds, TV and counters were ultra updated/in perfect condition. The beds were probably the most comfortable I've EVER stayed in. I usually don't sleep well when traveling, but these beds changed that. So I recommend overlooking the tub if you get that room (it was still perfectly functional) and just enjoy the remainder of your time. By the time I was out of the tub, I forgot all about it. Because the hospitality, beds and rest of the room was perfect. I don't feel the need to knock stars off.

The place is clean, modern and friendly. I enjoyed my stay until morning. They say that they have a breakfast but it is a total joke. After experiencing everything else at a stellar level, the breakfast could not have been more of a disappointment. Good thing that Waffle House was near by!

Shower didn't work no water, electric plugs and lights and phone by the bed didn't work, wifi didn't work. Air conditioner would not come on in the morning. Hotel was clean and attractive, front desk girls were amazing. We were in room 506. Not what a customer expects in a Premier.

Entering the building was clean and the front desk staff was very friendly. I stopped into the restroom into the lobby are not cleaned and bad smell. We went to our first room on the 2nd floor the room looked amazing until Entering the restroom. OMG all the Mold and Mildew in the tub and shower. Went down stairs for a refund they gave us another room on the third floor more mold and Mildew shower and toilet areas. Also hair on the tub. When we went downstairs for a refund front desk staff try to say the housekeepers didn't clean those rooms today. We received a refund and left

The guy working at check-in was chill. The place was quiet. Some construction was happening in the lobby, but it was still quiet and clean. We had two rooms, both were clean and had pretty comfortable beds. Would stay again.

I like the hotel, nice, was alittle noisy in the hallway not too much though, it was clean but I did notice there was a lot dust behind the bed, two stains on the pillow, the enternet port did not work so couldn’t work for a day. it was still a nice hotel and inviting. I love the lights on the bed.

3 stars because I would give 4 if the hotel was honest. I booked this hotel for location purposes and they said on their website that hot breakfast is served. I came to check in and immediately was hit with construction noise. The front desk told me that they recently started construction and I later found out for a private source they’ve been in construction for almost 6 months. I work for a private hotel in corporate and usually with long and drawn construction hotels are recommended to close for the time being and this hotel remained opened with settling for a continental breakfast for guest because of construction and the construction noise. The room is nice and roomy and the bathroom. The location is great but if you’re looking for a more medium to high in the cozy department, I wouldn’t book here

Stayed here for a mini vacation. For the price, the rooms are fairly decent. The breakfast was lack luster, but they were in the middle of renovations so maybe it could get better in the future. The location is great and you're in the middle of everything which is a huge plus.

Have stayed here a couple times & has been a good experience for the most part. The pool is great & the rooms are nice ( double queen) for the most part, we've had several issues; safe falling out of the wall, lamp with wires hanging & holding the light, no office chair in the room one time & the other the chair was broken, employees not having access to food & drink items that are supposed to be provided, and some of the staff just off putting. Now here's the good part; clean, easy check in, most staff is very helpful & great at their job, clean, good coffee,, all in all good enough to go back & a good place for families.

This hotel was definitely amazing! And I love how the rooms match the pictures that they advertise online to a perfection! They were super clean no dust anywhere except for the AC vents, it was very dusty there so maybe they could clean the vents out or change the filters a bit more consistently (we ended catching colds because of this). Other than that our stay here was amazing and our housekeeper Kenneth was awesome and very attentive to us! He deserves a raise!

I love the front desk staff as a whole.. some are extremely more polite, friendly, helpful, and personable than others, but that's typical. Overall I love this hotel.. my only complaint is that if you are bound into a contacted rate within this hotel, I feel as if they should honor those negotiated rates agreed upon without any exceptions, especially being that nobody in the entire hotel has once attempted to make contact to inform me that the negotiated and agreed upon rates were required to be renegotiated each year, instead of merely cancelling the contractual agreement with no notice or negotiation efforts.. other than this I have no more complaints.

Most of the front desk people were awesome. The maintenance man, Reggie, was fantastic and very helpful. The housekeeping sucked. We had requested full service every day and it was designated as such and we couldn't get our room serviced without going to the front desk to get housekeeping to do the service. And one day it wasn't done at all and I had to carry a trash bag of towels up to our room on the 4th floor. I've never had such horrible service at a Best Western before.

I got this room for bout 90 for a night-of stay. The AC went out and luckily I was able to get my money back. However, I do want to share that I was disappointed because the rooms and most everything else was very nice. Room cleanliness was above average especially for price, nice bathroom, small fridge and no stovetop. Nice big tv. Vending is around and 2 washers and dryers 6 dollars a load. Staff was courteous even after dealing with all the frustrated customers. Pool was kinda dirty but I don’t use it- pool area otherwise was nice. I think if the AC worked I would’ve had a really nice stay, just an unfortunate timing thing I guess. I imagine the AC works most of the time, and I would definitely recommend this place as long as it does.

My situation was unique I moved here from another state. I had to stay there for one month. The entire staff was courteous and professional. By the end of my stay they felt like family. They even remembered what day I was closing on my new home. I will be returning just to thank them again.

Beautiful hotel! Housekeeping was a joke. The hotel is modern & beautiful. The front desk staff were very friendly & helpful. We had to change rooms. Our first room was gross. The shower appeared to have never been cleaned. With rampant mildew in the shower. There was even soap still stuck to the soap dish. Our second room wasn't much better. The travel lotion appeared to have been used & still had mold in the shower. The pool wasn't very well lit at night & the hot breakfast items were not available due to a truck not delivering. Probably due to the incoming storm. Great hotel in a quiet & safe area if you bring your own cleaning supplies.

Overall, the hotel is fine. You can tell it was once a really fabulous place but it is in need of a lot of TLC. The rooms are pretty spacious, but housekeeping was not great. The rooms have hard floors with lighting around the perimeter of the bed, and as soon as the light turned on, there was trash and debris all over the floor, not to mention the 2 insects I had to kill in the room....there is currently no on site restaurant or bar which was disappointing as it was one of the main reasons I booked (the direct website does mention that these amenities are closed, but 3rd party sites do not). The pool was nice and warm and very clean. When I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the desk manager, I was offered some Best Western Points which is ok, but given what I paid for the room, I certainly expected just a higher overall standard. All in all, if the price was right, I would consider staying again, but only if I inspected the room before agreeing to stay.

Adrienne is extremely rude. & so is The other male had a heart attack when I asked for quarters for laundry. He says “it’s your lucky day “ when he found a roll of quarters. Like what? Housekeeping shows up and does what it wants. One day they just made ONE bed. That’s why rooms are not very clean. They have a fit if you ask them anything , or want to use the amenities that you paid for. Being in the industry myself I was shocked by their behavior. No regard to guests, actually they talk about you to other guests…I was told what was said about me by Adrienne by another guest himself. It was a joke. And her complaining that we wanted to use the pool and it was filthy it ridiculous. She even was on the PHONE to an upcoming guest speaking about the pool and used “people say oh I’m here from California & I want to use the pool , like we’re in Florida and there’s construction..I don’t know what to tell you” I don’t care if I’m in Hawaii , if I pay for a hotel with a pool that i specifically emailed about being open BEFORE booking then I have the right to. disgusting behavior. Only good things that didn’t make us lose our mind was Ryan the bartender…& the wings were really good… Breakfast was nice and simple and the attendant was really nice too. The first day and a half were fine despite the rooms (had to switch rooms but second room was in almost the same condition) & Debbie was helpful in early check in so I wasn’t even going to make a review at all but dealing with the hostility of the other two , I had too. If you’re on vacation , especially with children .. There are other hotels all around it , stay there…

The hotel is fair. Check in a breeze. My complaint will be cleanliness and security; our family was sneezing because of dust. Dust bunnies flying under one bed to the other. The tub drained slow. Our room had a door that leads to another room! Yes, rooms have two entrances. Although the secondary door is easily open in between, no lock is available to secure it. If the guest next door decided to open the door at the same time, destiny had us wide open. That left us paranoid. Bathroom door knob and second door knob rings falling apart and loose. The hotel was our one-night stand, while we reached to out destination. For a little more I would stay elsewhere. We will not be coming back.

My family stayed the weekend here due to burying a loved one . We all had separate rooms ( so, 4 rooms total, same floor opposite sides of the hallway) The rooms were nice but they needed to be cleaned the floors were filthy, it didn’t have a fresh scent and it was very dirty I understand the renovation dust but we’re on the 4th floor . In my room the tub was dirty and there was hair in the tub and on the sink that wasn’t ours. There was a water bottle that was between the nightstand and our bed . One of the pillows that was on our bed had someone’s blood on it . And when I asked one of the cleaning ladies (younger tall skinny Hispanic woman) to politely come clean the tub out she rolled her eyes at me and stood there because I was interrupting her personal phone call . (That’s probably why the rooms are not cleaned correctly the first time). During our stay they also didn’t have anymore wash cloths. The hotel is not bad but they probably need to re-train the cleaning staff and probably go over customer service skills .

  • 5/5 Julie C. 7 months ago on Google
They are in the process of renovations but it did not impede our stay. I really enjoyed our room, the bed and pillows was super comfy. Clean, stylish, and quiet. The breakfast was not good, not many choices but it was edible.

We understood that the hotel was under construction and expected some less than ideal conditions but this room was awful. The room smelled musty though it was recently renovated. It was obvious that it was recently renovated because the bathroom was still covered in chunks of drywall and drywall dust even on the toilet. There were stains on the duvet, stains in the bathtub, stains in the toilet, and wires under the bed. The clean towels hanging on the towel rack were covered in long black hairs. Every single towel when you unfolded it to use it was covered in long black hairs. The door to the adjoining room was unlocked and when we went to lock it noticed that the door handle was broken. The first time we washed our hands in the sink, it was blocked and would not drain. Called for the front desk to come and have someone unblock the sink. Between the beds was one freestanding port for plugs and a wall mounted set of plugs, the wall mounted plugs did not work at all nor did the center lights. Attempted to use the plug under the television and when unplugging the television the entire guts came out of the wall. There was no vent fan in the bathroom, there was however a ventilation hole in the wall that seemed to drop off into an endless, open abyss through which you could hear the bathroom goings on in every neighboring room. Light switches not flush against the wall and wiggly along with the painted over mystery wall switch which we discovered turns off the air conditioning unit completely. If this room was finished with its renovation, the construction company should be ashamed of the quality. If this room was cleaned by housekeeping they should be ashamed of the piles of drywall dust/chunks and stained items in the room.

it was advertised on the best Western app as dog friendly, even said two dogs up to 80# each and cats on approval. But when we arrived we were told they do not take dogs. They did honor the booking and put us up on the 6th floor. Room was nice, bed was the most comfortable I've had in a hotel. Shower water temperature fluctuated, but all in all a very nice hotel.

It was great! The ladies at the front desk upon check in were so nice. The one who took care of us was named Ana. She was so nice. I said, "It smells good in here." And she said "It's me!" With a huge smile! The room was so clean and cool. The beds SO comfortable! We would love to stay some other time.

I absolutely loved the staff and hospitality. The barkeep was from my home state I felt like I was safe and home at this hotel. Minus the renovations everything and everyone was perfect. Even down to the other guest. I will stay at this hotel whenever I visit

The rooms were elegant great light options. They had behind the bed lights. Underneath the bed floor lights. Nice overlapping curtain. The also had makeup removal cloth. And beautiful table tops

Loved the room and the bar. Service was great but there should be a lot more vegan/lactose intolerant options at the free breakfast. There were some sanitary issues in the breakfast room (leaking roof onto the food). I hope they fixed it after I pointed it out. Overall very nice for the price, just hated the breakfast. Pool was closed (and had been for a while) in June 2023. If you want a pool, I would call and ask if it is open yet

Booked a room for 4 days. The pool was closed the entire stay. The had jackhammers going during the day non stop, banging noises, constuction crews going in and out with debris that filled the lobby with a dust cloud. It was crazy. I understand wanting to improve/update rooms but when I checked in Saturday night they didnt say anything about it. Very unprofessional business practice.

I stayed 4 nights here. Overall the hotel was nice. Some of the ladies at the front desk were friendly. My room was decent . Outside of a few broken items it was nice. The bed was comfy. The biggest issue of mine is the so-called restaurant that they have onsite. Very limited menu consisting of only finger foods (salad, chicken strips, fries, etc.). Another big issue was the continental breakfast selections! I am a health buff and they had nothing I could eat literally ! No fruit, no veggies nothing . All carbs, and sweets. I travel a lot and have never stayed at a hotel chain that did not offer even 1 fruit choice…that’s insane and a deal breaker for me staying again at this hotel again.

The floors were disgusting! Our feet were black after just a short time in the room! Beds were comfy but had some questionable stains on the outer blankets. Sink would clog just from washing hands and not go down for a good amount of time. Only had ice on the second floor. TV took a bit to get going. My son just started pushing random buttons and it came on. Shower flow was good but was dirty and had some moldy spots. It did have a keurig that was handy. But overall would not go back or recommend.

ALL of the staff is friendly and helpful with small details like holding the elevator and genuinely asking if you are okay! Bed was very comfortable... I asked to be on the highest floor possible and was given an amazing room with multiple windows and views. Great one night stay!

The hotel is stylish and has ample parking. Breakfast was hot and tasty. The beds were firm and comfortable. The room was spacious and had several windows. We loved the flooring - not having carpet is terrific. We would definitely stay here again.

Horrible hotel. I would rather sleep outside than at this hotel. The room was dirty, there were stains everywhere and the shower curtain was extremely moldy. The room was also dusty. The air vents were so filthy that the lingering dust balls rattled around all night where I tried to sleep. Not to mention when I peeled back the sheets there were yellow stains all on the duvet. I had to call downstairs for someone to bring me clean sheets. The plumbing in the bathroom was also horrible. Since it wasn’t draining I had to standing in my own pool of water. I felt dirtier in the shower than before I got it. As I was stepping out the shower a dried up washcloth on the shower rod fell to the floor and I almost vomited. Very unsanitary place! Seeing the state of the room I was deathly afraid of eating the breakfast there. Be sure to ask for a new room If you’re given room 401. The room was $130 for the night. Feels like I paid for a nightmare. While the room was horrible, nice staff members and the floor wasn’t very noisy.

The decor of the room was tasteful and i like the lights around the base of the bed. The staff were very courteous. However, it would help to add room service to your business. It interrupts your comfort having to go downstairs to get additional towels. In addition, please check the electrical outlets. Many of them were not working in my room and the phone was inoperable. Those are major issues that should be resolved to have better ratings.

Decent hotel. Nice looking room. Bathroom needed some work. But it served it's purpose well. Breakfast could also use a few more items. But it also served it's purpose. Best Pillows Ever .

They told me it’s some snacks and coffee for breakfast included with the room from 6-9 am, it’s almost 7 am still no coffee, no snacks, no staff. I being here since 3 days ago and the inconsistency of the service have a lot to say, management should be aware. Today the front desk lady said the breakfast it’s 7:30 am. However wen I check in I being told is 6-9 am, the second day breaks was 6:30 - 8:30 the tied day it’s 7:30 ? Wen in reality staff add the breakfast wen they are willing to do so. And no body really care. Some staff is rude. My room did not got housekeeping since I check in. I have to come down to the front desk every day for towels and shampoo. I have my two babies with me and for a working mom with a family schedule and punctuality is a must. Location is good for what I need. Some areas under construction, noises all day until 8 pm. Bathroom had mold.

We stayed 4 nights at this property. Nightmare #1 shower spout in the room was rusted and your had to use a lot of strength to adjust. #2 everyday we had to ask for towels. Even after placing the dirty towels out. When towels were given housekeeping only provided 2 sets of towels. There were 3 of us. Had to visit the front desk everyday. #3 Housekeeping does not follow directions or just do not care about their jobs. We placed a please clean our room sign in the door and even reiterated it at the front desk. Only one day was it visibly cleaned and again towel issues and how the bed was remade looks like a 3 yr old did it. Also the pillow cases smelled as if they were never changed out. Yuck! Luckily I brought my own. Absolutely unacceptable. #4 Management seems to be aware of many of the issues but dont care enough to make sure everything is done in good and decent order. We are on vacation. Your customers deserve to relax and when you have to continue to make up your own bed and run up and down the elevator for towels and explain your concerns about the cleaning of the room, I can honestly say if I have to do your job I deserve some refund for my stay. Only positive thing is breakfast was good and the beds sleep great.

We stayed here for a quick, two night trip while in Jacksonville. Upon check in, we noticed that the hotel is under a large renovation in the lobby area so somewhat dusty from the construction(but not bothersome to me). When entering our room, it was very clean and inviting. Unfortunately, none of us could take a shower because the diverter valve was a cheap plastic piece and was broken and would not stay up so we took stand up baths (room 334). We did not complain to the front desk about this at the time as we were not going to be in the room longer than sleeping and quick “showers”. Our biggest issue occurred the day after checking out. Upon check in, we were advised that we’d have a $50 incidental fee charged on our card and that would be refunded upon check out as long as there are no problems. When checking my bank statement today(day after check out), there were two charges on my account. One for the amount of the room without the $50 incidental fee and another for the room cost including the additional $50. So almost $600 in charges instead of $300. Still not too mad at this point until I called the hotel for assistance to get this taken care of. That was a joke! I was told to call tomorrow when a manager is on duty, but that the double charge for the room “should probably drop off in the next few days”. That is unacceptable and absolutely terrible customer service! My bank account has basically been charged for 4 nights instead of the two that we actually stayed, yet I get no assistance when speaking with the front desk rep. I certainly will not stay at the property again. For anyone who does, be sure to keep an eye on your bank account after check out!

Checked in and everything seemed okay but there weren’t enough towel sets for 4 of us so we asked housekeeping but were told that we must ask the front desk. We did that but, apparently, there is a towel shortage and they have yet to swap out the used towels. One of our party asked for an extra pillow that hasn’t been delivered. We requested that the room be cleaned and soap dispenser replaced or filled but after 2 days it hasn’t been done either. There are ongoing renovations that the website says will be completed on Nov 2, they are not as of Nov 11. The Continental Breakfast consists of cold cereal, bagels and bread but no toaster. We returned from a day trip only to find that our access keys were deactivated. We have complained to housekeeping, the front desk, and maintenance but none of our concerns or needs have been addressed despite their assurance that they will. Management is aware of our complaints but hasn’t made any attempt to communicate with us. Did I mention the roaches? The unprofessionalism, lack of accountability and lack of leadership displayed by staff and management is unacceptable. Do not stay here.
