We didn’t even stay. It stinks. Like smells bad. Another guest had no hot water — we never got that far. Walked in and the room smells and does not look anything like the photos. When I told the staff they argued with me .. ok. I showed them their photos and it looks nothing the same. It was loud and uninviting in the lobby. Lots of commotion and other guests making complaints This was at 10 pm when I would think things were settled. Also charged a $3 amenity fee they don’t want to refund. Would not refund our money when we decided not to stay. I am over 50 and this is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in It was like something I’ve seen in movies where ppl are kn a 3 rd world country. All the doors on the third floor looked like they had a flood?? The room was not clean. The bed was on the floor?? No frame. The pillows looked like throw pillows they were so small. All the furniture was way beyond well used. Do not stay here

I have never written a bad review to the best of my recollection. On May 18 I stayed at this hotel. The first so called non smoking room wreaked of smoke and they changed my room. I was unable to bolt the door of the second room, so I, nervously, slept with the light on. At 1:45 AM I rolled over to see two bugs crawling out from underneath the blanket and sheets; I suspect I would not have seen this had I not been sleeping with the light on. I dressed and went to the front desk and asked them to call the shuttle to the airport, where I would proceed to sleep in a chair. The girl at the desk offered me another room. 1) At that hour I wasn't about to start all over in another room, but more to the point, 2) there wasn't a way on earth that I would get into another bed in a hotel that had bugs in my first bed. I asked for a refund. Over the course of the next 6 days I contacted the hotel at three different times, because the manager had not called me back. I finally reached him. Hotel policy states that because she offered me another room and I declined it, they would not give me a refund. He told me that the girl went in to check for bugs and didn't see any. I told them I squashed them with the sheets and could see the blood on the sheets. Did they honestly think I was going to let them just crawl around? And he had the audacity to add that the next person in the room didn't have any bugs in the bed. I said I would hope they had changed the sheets before the next guest arrived. From approximately 2:55 AM until /security at the airport opened I had a wonderful sleep at the airport in a chair and not a bug in sight. And Jacksonville Plaza Hotel has kept my money and their bugs.

The only reason I'm giving this place a 2 is location (literally 5 minutes from the airport.) Also, giving the benefit of the doubt that they are going through a renovation. Stuff on the floor everywhere (never saw a person vacuuming the entire time I was there). Only 1 elevator. Sheets were like sandpaper. Everything felt sticky. Room needed dusted. The "so-called continental breakfast" was coffee, juice, tea, cereal, and toast with jelly. I was told it was like this due to Covid. Give me a freakin' break. This place could be really nice if it was clean and the ownership wasn't handling it on the cheap.

Had to come back because they were "cleaning" room at 3 pm. Chose because need to be at airport early tomorrow. Room is filthy. Shown is rag I used to clean floor when I saw the bottom of my feet were absolutely black. Walked on a towel the rest of my stay.

Hotel started out fine then ended up having bedbugs and damage to vehicle from the hotel. Rusted out light pole fell on truck and they did not want to take responsibility and kept giving me the runaround every time I talk to them they tell me something different. No problems with the employees other than management.

Was initially concerned with reservation agreements on the counter top exposing guest address information. Attendant was pleasant at check-in and addressed several guest needs in a professional manner including dress code expectations of shirts required. Location was convenient and room was clean.

Would have been nice to know it was under construction but even so these eye sores could be organized to be cleaned or out of site. Staff was super friendly and 3rd floor room was perfectly clean and new. I paid $90 a night but was $120 everywhere else at the time.

Hotel is going under a renovation. They had exterior and some public areas complete. It's an older place but is going to look brand new based on what they have done. Front desk staff is very professional and this is in a great location. I'll stay here again next time I'm in town!

I read the reviews and had my doubts. I arrived and the place was nice. The lobby was clean. The room was nice with plenty of room for one (1) person. The refrigerator didn't work and the shower head was way below industry standards. Also the liquid soap dispenser was empty. I'm glad I carry soap. However I would stay again.

Rooms were very small but overall very clean and friendly. And there could have been a little more on the breakfast menu.

Room was clean, but the bathroom could be cleaner. Great price, great sleep. Breakfast was ok but more than likely people go get something to eat.

Our room was nice & clean, it was good enough. The hallway needed attention due to much debris. Great location for our needs.

Room small. Bed too high off floor. But comfy once I hopped in. Needed to sit to put makeup on, but rolling chair too big to get by Wall and bed. Need mirror over desk area

The windows were full of black mold!!! There were people in and out all night hanging in parking lots! Not sure what is going on at this hotel but management definitely needs to figure it out fast!!! I would definitely not stay here again and do not recommend even thinking about having kids here!!!!

Great place to stay. Very affordable and they have computers and a beautiful turtle 🐢 and fish 🐟 pond to take a break. The Staff is very professional. Suggestions: Is best to book directly through the hotel, you may get a better deal. 👍🏾 ⭐🥇⭐

VERY strong mildew smell in the room!! The bathroom floor clearly had water under the flooring because when you stepped on the floor, the water would seep up through the seams. I had to wear my shoes in the room so my feet wouldn't keep getting wet. It was disgusting. I will not be back to this hotel!

The room the small but comfortable. I always bring a few creature comforts with me when I go to any hotel that I'm not familiar with so I had everything I needed. It's not too far from the airport and it's one of the least expensive hotels in the area which made it good stay. I don't mind staying there again but if you have a family I would try to stay somewhere else. If you're alone or with another adult, this is good.

Older hotel that is under going some renovations. Service was good and the rooms were clean. The best part was the room rate. If you don't have tons to spend, this is a good option.
