The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. If I found put 0 stars I would. The desk lady was very rude and acted like she didn’t know what she was doing. We booked for a room with 2 queen beds (made reservations). Just for us to get there and them say that room is no longer available. The desk lady told me if you reserve on line you’re not guaranteed to get that room??? I’ve never heard of that, however this story gets continuously worst. She put us in a room with one bed and a couch. There were 4 of us which is very in convenient. But she told us the room was paid for online right. I get there and it’s a hidden $50 fee. She assured me my card wouldn’t be the card charged for the reservations. Come to find out 3 days later my card was charged over $200 and so was my friends. Plus the $50 fee. When we go into our room there’s no toilet handle to flush the toilet!!!! My friend had to stick her hand in the toilet to flush it. The lady refused to change our room!!! I paid over $250 for a room that I didn’t want and for a toilet that don’t flush. She told me there’s nothing she could do about it. The pool was filthy!!! I don’t know what these people have going on over here but it’s very scam like so if I’m not given my refund I will take legal action. Not only for the money but this hotel is no where near regulations!!!

I stayed here for a girls weekend. It was a nice and very clean hotel! The staff was very nice. It was not too far from the beach it took us less than 10 minutes to get there. We were within minutes to multiple resteraunts that we tried. We ate at all local places and did not go wrong with any of them! I will definitely stay here again to be able to have a weekend away! There were a few barking dogs, but it's a dog friendly hotel which I don't mind as I have dogs at home. We had brought a fan to help drown out noise which helped at night!

We had a recent stay due to a baseball tournament in town. Check-in was a breeze. The room and condition of the room was great. Loved the access to coffee/tea at any time of day/night. The breakfast was great and perfect before heading to the ball fields. I must say the pillows were phenomenal...I've got to find out what brand they are!

If wasn't for Frankie and maintenance worker. I would have given this place a 0!! Beds were not made up. The cover/ bedspread was pulled back on the bed dirty. Washer & Dryer for hotel are old and outdated. $2.50 to wash & $2.50 to dry. Restroom in hall was dirty!

There for a family reunion great choice!! Rooms were really clean and staff friendly free parking and great cinnamon rolls and pancakes for breakfast.. We have a double bed room which also had a sleeper sofa but mattress was terrible it was more like a worn out floor mat overall I'd stay again and I'm a hard critic and picky about where I lay my head

The place is nice enough, and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was a lot better than expected. However, one of the main reasons I booked was because of the pool, which I could not use because it had what seemed to be dirty toilet paper floating in it. I pointed it out to the front desk, who called and said it was cleaned a couple of hours later. When I went back, I got in only to swim to the other end to find that the debris was still there.

Stayed here for 1 night in a 2 bed - queen room while I attended the a Jags football game...Staff here was really nice, and accommodating. The rooms were clean and price was reasonable. One thing that stood out to me was the customer svc... I needed to extend my checkout time and they were able to accommodate my request which allowed me to get the sleep I needed before I got back on the road to head home. Truly thankful and grateful... Breakfast was included with the room. Great for kids...they had cereal, eggs, sausage links and patties..u can make ur own pancakes...but the only thing I didn't too much care for was the juice being watered down. I had Orange and apple juice and they both was watered down. But this isn't enough for me not to stay here again.

I found hairs on the bed that are definitely not mine- I have very long brown hair, these were short black hairs. Definitely grossed out by that. The outdoor pool is absolutely disgusting. By how much debris is at the bottom, not just leaves but dirt and who knows what, the pool has not been cleaned in a long time. The first floor of the hotel smells of cigarette smoke. This hotel was not worth the 2 day drive.

This hotel is in a great location. I'm not a fan of the new vinyl plank floors. Everything is so loud . . You can hear everything. But the bed was comfortable and the water pressure great. The breakfast was ok. Not much attention to detail however. There are so many choices out there. They need to step up the breakfast experience. You have to look for everything. No one there to help. But we made the best of it. The coffee was good.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone no matter what the reason they needed to travel near Mayport or Atlantic Beach. The the rooms are very clean. The bed and linen are fresh and the rooms are clean daily. I couldn’t take them enough for the cleanliness of my room and the quality of furnishings in the rooms. I’ve had breakfast several times in the morning. The food is always fresh hot and there’s a great variety of food to eat. Thank you for your kindness and the courtesy I’ve been shown since I’ve been here. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who would be visiting the area for a price cost and the courteous staff that work here bless all of you for the job you do, which is beyond well done thank you. Raymond 😊🙏

You guys HAVE to keep track of checkout times and STOP KNOCKING ON DOORS HOURS EARLY. We are on tour. We stumble into bed at 3/4am. We get late checkout for a *reason*. When someone comes banging on the door at 1030am, it’s rude, unpleasant, and costs us over an hour of precious sleep that we need. The hotel itself? Fine, good, clean. But that…. No

Holiday Inn certainly offers the basic comforts of a traditional hotel, but my recent stay there highlighted the unique value of choosing a local Airbnb. For those exploring Mayport, I'd suggest considering an Airbnb stay, like my own listing, for a more enriching experience. Nestled in Mayport, my Airbnb provides not just a stay, but a gateway to the local lifestyle, complete with personalized touches and a homey feel that larger hotels can't match. If you're seeking an authentic Mayport experience, complete with local insights and a cozy atmosphere, an Airbnb stay could be your ideal choice.

It was nice. Not as clean as the one I stay at usually. I tried to get closer to the beach and it was but not exactly what I expected, then again it was cheaper than the other one. Anyway. It wasn’t horrible or even close. It was proper professional see that misssed a spot or two cleaning. I also usually get room upgrades as I stay at my other one I will be going back to for sure as it has just been five star hands down. They make me feel like I’m important and I am. Lol. All good. Never had a bad experience at a HIE. Always a happy customer.

You get what you pay for here. The walls are paper thin, the appliances are old, and the rooms are dusty. We had multiple rooms booked out and some were cleaner than others. My room did not have complimentary makeup wipes or lotion while other rooms did. One of our towels was unusable as there was someone else's hair embedded in it. Will be recommending others to pay a bit more and drive a bit further to be in a nicer hotel.

Stayed here for a romantic night out for hubby's bday in whirlpool suite. Room was large and clean, I don't like that there is no carpet at all (a bit slippy when getting out of tub) but it makes sense. The bed and pillows were not comfortable at all and the suites are all on 1st floor so you get all of the traffic and door slamming. We asked for extra pillows and towels but got none. I had minimal staff interaction, the lady in the morning sat in back room on her phone so we just left keys in bucket. Breakfast was nice but the staff didn't keep up with the food that was taken, so we had to share. Coffee was good.

This hotel is very good for location, restaurants and things to do in the area. Service is good and it's a very clean hotel. Comfortable beds, easy parking and we will definitely stay here again.

Since arriving to Hotel on the 10 of October, the front desk Jennifer was a delight and made sure she checked me and my shipmate as fast as she could, seeing we arrived at 0200 in the morning. She was so nice and knew exactly what she was doing and even gave us a free bottle of water. As to the rooms, I did not get my room cleaned for the first 2 days, but on the 3rd day I wanted my space cleaned and when I returned, it was so nice and clean. I have no complaints thus far. Oh yeah, and the complimentary breakfast is on time every week day and It’s nice and hot. Pablo the breakfast attendant welcomed me and was very nice and polite.

First time I've stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. Very nice. Comfortable rooms and bed. Not the most sound proof rooms, but with the air unit on, it's ok. Very good service and parking. Great location for the beaches, stadium and downtown. Plenty around to keep you busy. No beach front or good views, but a very nice hotel.

Breakfast had warm or cold options. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pool was very dirty from sand, bugs, body oils. Laundry machines onsite. Centrally located. Saw several other Holiday Inn Express hotels nearby.

staff : FRANKIE is the greatest. He is informative and very low key friendly.. The breakfast bar is clean and has a variety of " choices" . Our room on the 3rd floor is nice, clean and spacious. Not having carpet has its good and bad points. Think the floor is definitely cleaner than the carpets but the comfort and ambience is lacking . The area is about 3 miles from the naval base. There is one mexican restaurant within walking distance on a busy road that is excellent CASa LEON otherwise YOU NEED a car . Price higher than other holiday inns yet less in the Jacksonville area.

My room gets cleaned everyday. So fresh, so clean. But if you don’t place the do not disturb sign on your door they will wait there until you answer. The gym is small but it will get the job done. Breakfast is awesome. And the pool is about 4ft deep. 👌🏾 and across the street this shop has some nice cars.

roaches in our hotel room. i booked the room with the jacuzzi in it and we were super excited. however, after the first night we couldn’t justify staying in the room so we were moved to a different room and got $20 back or something ridiculous. super bummed. not coming back here :/ also no hand soap in the bathrooms. i was told to use the shower gel in the shower to wash my hands ………….
