Our stay had been nothing but pleasant! Housekeepers were quite attentive and brought fresh towels as well as clean sheets. The area around the property was very, very quiet and there weren’t any noises whatsoever considering it was next to a garage catered to semi’s. Plenty of places within walking distance to eat at such as Burger King and Wawa. It is a peaceful little property. The room we stayed in was updated and was very clean! The beds were very comfortable as well. Definitely can’t beat the price. The only issue I can find is the fact that you have many characters in and out of the property, some can definitely be a bit sketchy. Sometimes the parking lot will remain full at night and come morning they flee the scene. Otherwise, I slept like a baby! ☺️

VERY clean and quiet, linens were nice too-comfortable and fresh. Thanks to whomever manages this place. It’s not upscale by any stretch but it is very well cared for. I was comfortable here. AAA++++ On this road trip, I next stayed at an awful Days Inn in Hattiesburg. They gave me a full refund.

I don't know who is writing those reviews for this location, but this hotel is VERY NASTY, it looks good on the pictures but when you get there you are not getting the same results. We booked two rooms, both rooms 139/140 appear to be clean. My 1 year old notice a roach on the air conditioning unit and called me and I killed it. (I have pictures) there was roaches in room 140 as well. When we all took a shower the faucet was broken. The water was hot no cold water, we wanted to use the tub but the shower came on instead. There are mold in the cracks of the shower. You won't notice it because it blends in with the tile. Around 3am my mom went to the bathroom and starting having shortness of breath due to her asthma. We called the front desk and told them about it, they wanted to put us in room 138, but the door handle came off and there were roaches in there as well. In the other room, 140 there is mold on the curtain. The curtain is sitting over the a c unit. Our children were in these rooms. They refuse to give us a refund the rooms were $220 per night and they took half off. Please please always check your rooms before actually staying in them this was very nasty and unsatisfactory.

Initially I liked this hotel quite a bit. Good price decent location very quiet very comfortable however the carpet is moldy and my son has had respiratory troubles since we got here so we are checking out tomorrow. They have obviously done some renovations but they are surface level the things that really matter like clean carpeting have not been done. There is a tank lid missing on have not been done. There is a tank lid missing on the toilet and a few other things that are unfinished or sloppy. Once you look closer you might change your opinion but it's okay for a night

Great for the price. Right off I-95, near fast food restaurants, gas station, liquor store, gun range but very convenient. Outside of the hotel looked suspect but the people take care of what they had; my man was hoping the floors outside the rooms!! And inside the room were classy and better than expected; very clean. My room did have a cracked shower head but it didn’t effect anything.

Service was good. Nice people. Room were updated but the building is old and seems old. Seen a few bugs in the room. Didn't have a inside lock and the door didn't close tight. Again the service was good and they still served a decent continental breakfast. Great If traveling and just need to get sleep for the night.

If I could leave negative stars I would. The worst experience I had in my life, we were three families staying in four rooms. A family with minor children, a family with a pregnant spouse, elder couple, and myself. The rooms were dirty, bed sheets that were dirty. The room phone was not working, and the television would not turn off. There was one room with a cockroach, and mold on the bathroom roof. There were people smoking marijuana outside, and one room smelled like cigarettes when the rooms are “smoke free”. The conditions of the rooms were not in conditions to stay in the least, and less regarding conditions considering COVID-19 regulations of sanitation. While staying the night since we had no option, after driving over 10 hours there was suspicious and obnoxious behavior in an upstairs room that kept me up from 3AM-6AM. The pictures are not accurate to the actual rooms and the pricing is far beyond the conditions met.

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Maybe some rooms are better than others?? My room is very clean, no bugs at all, and, outside of a bathroom outlet that doesn't work, everything is functioning properly. There are cameras all over the premises. The ice machine works, the locks work, the key card works, the shower pressure isn't the best, but it is scalding hot, and the linens are clean. I'm guessing this is family owned franchise as all the employees are Indian. They've all been incredibly respectful, professional, and just pleasant overall. Breakfast is nice. There's a waffle maker and everything. I didn't even have to make my own waffle!! Bob was just precious in the breakfast room. Breakfast ends at 9, but he was there until 10. The location is not the best. Liquor store, gun store, strip club, pawn shop... I will say from being a dancer once upon a time, this is the hotel you would go to if you actually made good money that night. I think that for the price point, this is a great option.

Overall 2/5 Rating, Barely a 2 Stayed in Room 209 Negatives: • No vent in tiny bathroom • Shower knob fell off • Overall feel is "hand-me-downs" from Best Western as far as furniture • Previous room 104 smelled like canine urine • Location appears on the shady side, which we were wary of, but we had no issues in theft or safety concerns • Visual appearance of this location isn't as appealing as the photos, but it's also October and it was near nightfall upon our arrival Positives: • A/C was good • Lighting was a smidgen better than low-lighting in last Best Western Plus (Lake City Room 316) • Smell was better than Room 104 • Indian counter clerk was very kind, cool, and collected • Bed was comfy (wife said) • Hot water was abrupt and great, just hard to control on this visit due to handle issues Haven't been to breakfast yet, but I will update. I'm sure it's standard as expected. This rating is based on hotel standards one would expect in areas of amenities, safety, comfort, and necessities for a stay. I would only recommend this based on price for a pinch of needing to be in this area. $75 was our price through the official BW site, and it was below what we expected, but was understandable as a sub-branded hotel from Best Western targeting a lower income demographic.

I will definitely be staying here again! The room was clean, smelled great and the beds were comfy. I will say if you’re a person that tends to get cold then bring a blanket because they have THIN blankets. Check in was easy and quick and parking was fairly easy with a truck and trailer. My only complaint was that one of the bathroom towels had mascara on it. The towel had definitely been washed but the cleaners may have just missed the stain when folding it. Overall, great place to stay!

When we got to the location , we were a little concerned. It looked kinda of sketchy. I am not from the area so I cannot tell you if the area is good or bad. We asked if we can see the room before we checked in. The room was clean- no bugs of any .. yes I do full bedbug check. People complained about the sheets - to me they were clean and comfortable. If you sleep with the comforter at any hotel…. Boy do I have news for you .. they probably get washed as much as you wash yours at home . The rooms are worn down a little bit and the bathroom is small. But because it’s near the hospital so if you need a few nights it’s ok. I wouldn’t stay here for a week’s vacation.

I would give this place at least three stars, sadly to say I can't. I stayed here twice and each Time I've had housekeeping to go through my things while we were out of the room. I've even had my credit and debit card stolen from out of the room I was staying in the last past time I visited. I've had shoes stolen out of my bags as well. I've reported this matter but nothing was done about it. WARNING ⚠️ TO ALL GUESTS!!!! . Please be careful staying at this place Sure, Stay hotel off of University, In Jacksonville FL for Housekeeping STEAlS out of customers belongings and Bags when cleaning Rooms, then lies and denies about it when confronted or asked about missing items .....

Shower didn’t stop running, AC/heater was broken, and tub was rusted in the first room. Changed rooms and half the lights didn’t work and the toilet kept making loud noises. Shower head filthy in both rooms. Missing grate on the drainage hole in front of the ice machine is a hazard. Absolute bottom of the barrel garbage dump; I’d give it zero stars if I could. Don’t stay here!

Me and my children like to visit different hotels. Yes we have a house but we choose to go to the hotels to get away from bills School work. So in the same time we visit different hotels. As I visited this hotel they have fast service very affordable rooms. And they even have fresh breakfast. I have always experienced good service I can't wait to visit again thank you

The front desk clerk was friendly. The room overall was clean and smelled fresh. I could tell several updates had been made but there are still some it needed. Not the most run down place I've stayed. Very quick access to I-95. It is right next to a truck repair center so it might be too loud in the am for light sleepers. The bed was so comfortable that I overslept breakfast which was unfortunate but glad I got some good sleep. The vanity mirror/light doesn't have great lighting for the ladies to apply makeup.

For a lower price option, this is a great/wonderful/ideal choice. The building is older and so is inside but it is exceptionally clean and well-appointed. You don't even notice. The bed is SO comfortable, and there was not a single noise to disturb me (I am a light sleeper). I messed up my check-in date and the manager helped me bring it forward a day. No problem. Overall, one of the best hotel nights sleep I have had in a very long time, regardless of price.

Very poor customer service the guy at the Front desk bad attitude bad breath an very nonchalant an refused to give my money back when I didn't want to stay absolute the worst experience ever. service was horrible they bed covers was dirty with stains to the point I didn't want to sit down let alone sleep. My kid was crying saying it's to nasty! I have to lose 100 plus dollars because they refused to give my bad an had to spend more money on a better stay elsewhere😡

I went to rent a room 4/18/23 and I was meeting a friend. Before she came I had to switch rooms because the ac didn't work. I didn't want my friend to see it so a placed it under the refrigerator. Due to the A.c not workn I forgot it in the room. So I called front desk and let him know. I didn't think I could happen Cameras everywhere. My guest pulled up and we got to talk 125 room to 130room once I made it to get room key The Front Desk took it there no one on camera no one went in but he knew and stole my wallet . I can't believe that happened plus they reset the system so they had no proof of me being there. This is wrong Front Desk took my wallet. I don't know why he didn't just take the money and leave all my stuff.

When we first walked in we immediately noticed the walls had been drawn all over. Both blankets were extremely worn and the furniture had lots of wear and tear. There was toilet paper stuck in the peep hole, no switch cover, a moldy hole in the bathroom wall, the buttons were missing from the air-conditioning, and someone else's leftovers in the mini fridge. Very disappointed in the condition of the room especially when the website indicated these rooms were newly renovated.

The photos are deceiving, the hot breakfast consists of a waffle maker and a toaster for bread or bagels. If I had known the area I wouldn't have stayed there. Shop around, unless you have no other choices I wouldn't spend my money on this place. Not to mention the nasty shower head, and the roaches. They did come clean the room after the first night

We thought that we were getting a comfortable clean enviorment and on our second night we spotted a german roach coming out of the ac . also when i went to take care of the roach i spotted black mold underneath the ac unit. We also noticed it was very damp wet in the room. Dont stay here and they dont do anything for you. We will never come back !!

Very clean rooms. Professional staff. Quick check in. Hot shower and decent bed and bedding. Location was fine--University Blvd is a very busy street. I felt very safe at this location. Close to lots of quick dining and pharmacies. AC worked great--very important in JAX in June. I will plan to stay here again when I return to JAX in a few weeks. Recommended.

The people were wonderful and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It's an older building, and the plumbing was rough (loud, ran constantly, no water pressure). The moulding was broken around the doors and windows and gave it a run down feel. There's a truck service center next door (think diesel repair) that made the morning a little loud. I would stay here again for a quick shower and rest, but not for more than a day or two.

This is motel 6 converted and marketed under best western brand. It's not a upscale hotel. Looks cheap. Just new paint and tiles and few touch ups. But the old motel 6 soul doesn't go away, bathrooms, ambience, bed sheets and the overall feel look cheap. Just booked assuming it to be a best western hotel. Front desk was helpful. Breakfast average. would not recommend

I will say the check-in process was pretty easy and the price was decent. However, it was a cold weekend and there was just no heat at all in the hotel. You can tell that it was nice once however it just seems a little rundown overall not bad and I potentially would stay there again

  • 3/5 Amanda R. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed here during a big holiday weekend. The price was incomparably cheaper than anywhere else. No surprise or hidden fees. I am staying on a tight budget and this place is worth what they charge. For a low budget hotel, this place is VERY clean. I am truly impressed with the cleaning people and the staff I’ve interacted with were very friendly. I am thankful for this place. I seen ONE bug and it was a spider. The pictures the site promoted are true to the room. Loved the blue colors. The beds were decent. The air worked fine. Good amount of tv channels. Everything you need, blow dryer, coffee maker, microwave and fridge! For breakfast they have coffee, toast, waffle makers and some fruit. It is located in an area I’d not want to walk around alone, but is very close to freeway access. There was a small leak in the ceiling in the bathroom but it didn’t affect me much. Please don’t book this room if you think you found a 4* hotel at a 1* motel price! People complaining are unrealistic and entitled. This is the best value place I’ve stayed.

This place looked like it just had a renovation done to it, but they stopped short. Pillows where these tiny squares....yeah... squares. Location was a bit sketchy, I was worried about something happening to my car. I was from out of town and took this place due to the higher price thinking I would get a better, location, bed, shower. Noooo. As a matter of fact, the shower head sucked. Hotels need to learn, someone is staying at there place for a comfortable bed, and a good shower. This place fell short of that.

  • 3/5 John C. 1 year ago on Google
Room 120 was clean and free of bugs but not in great condition. Paint was peeling. Drawers were unusable. Room phone didn't work. The tub & shower faucet had a constant leak, but it was impossible to turn on the faucet handle, even after the front desk checked it. Instead, we were allowed to use room 119 instead, which was in much better condition, except for the broken desk chair, which had a missing caster that was broken. The commercial building next door is being demolished, and construction noise started around 8:30 am on Saturday. Breakfast was nice & included a waffle maker with other hot & cold options. For the $109 plus tax we paid, the room was overpriced. Seems to be an industrial area. Not a great location.

We stayed here 5 days and 4 nights and the staff was amazing. Bob always made sure we had breakfast and we were comfortable in our room and the entire staff was so polite and made sure throughout our stay to check and make sure we had anything we needed. Clean room, comfortable beds and nice breakfast area. Easy parking. Mini fridge and microwave in the room were nice features as well. Easy location to access anywhere in the Jacksonville area.

Overall the hotel looked nice and presentable until we turned on the lights the roaches came out. Crawling on the bed ans table immediately let management know about this issue . He offered a discount but that just didn't sit well with me knowing we couldn't get another room. If they get the place sprayed it will be a great place to stay

Nice clean rooms and friendly staff. We had an issue with the TV but the front desk attendant came to fix it. The Breakfast and coffee was good too. Convenient location for traveling through, and good price.

  • 4/5 Roger B. 1 year ago on Google
I found the hotel very clean. The two beds had 12 inch mattresses and the bedding was very clean. The spread was a little tattered but it was clean. Same with the bathroom and the floors. I enjoyed my stay there. The staff was very responsive also. I had a problem with my remote control for the TV and they fix it quickly. Location is second-rate, a big warehousr on one side with a blank wall and a Truck Repair Center on the other side. But, that being said, very convenient to get on 95 and go north or south.
