The front desk staff was welcoming at our arrival, and check in was quick. But the room was quite disappointing. First, I noticed some hair on the bathroom floor -- some if it body hair. The shower stall did not look clean. There was a hole in the bedsheets. The air conditioning unit was below the window, nor more than 2 feet away from the bed, blowing cold air directly on us as well slept. Very uncomfortable. When looking for something I had misplaced, I moved the small ottoman and found a dirty pair of underwear. I informed the front desk upon my departure. They offered an apology.

Very nice accommodations, within close proximity to the Jacksonville airport. There are also some chain restaurants, Walmart, and Publix close by. The front desk staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet, and well-appointed. The water pressure and temperature were good and the beds were comfortable. If I had any complaint (and this is nominal), it would be the lack of lighting in the room. Very dim bulbs; even with every light on in the room, I felt like the room was not adequately lit. Otherwise, I have no criticisms about my stay at this location - overall, pleasantly surprised. If you’re visiting Jacksonville and want to stay near the airport, this is a great option.

I had a 7am flight cancelled at 5am, and even though the hotel had been fully booked the night before, they got me into the first room that became available around 730am. What a great staff! The breakfast was great! The rooms are beautiful. Just an excellent place overall. I will come back next time I am in town! Thankyou to the great staff!

Let me start by saying this is the best hotel for the price! Michael (Just started last week) was amazing! Great hospitality, professionalism, and communication. The room was very clean and the check in was amazing. Compared to the Crowne Plaza this is 10000x better. If you are looking for a hotel, book this location and look no further. Thank you Hyatt for a great experience. (If Michael is working ask for him!!!)

Two sets of family members have stayed here at different times,so we are quite familiar with this hotel. The staff is wonderful, in every way, especially the front desk people. We have spent hours in the lobby, playing card games & socializing & everyone was so very nice. I do have a couple of concerns, though. No shampoo, soaps or fresh towels were provided to our room. And that was plenty inconvenient for a 4 day stay. Also,⁷ no umbrellas provided for the tables in the pool area. It was 95* while we stayed there & very hot. An umbrella for shade would have been much appreciated. Maybe we could have asked for one,but on days that warm, one or more should be out there on the deck, ready to be used.

From the time we were picked up from the airport to the end of our overnight stay, nothing but great vibes from the driver to hotel staff. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Breakfast was hot, delicious and plentiful . Cleanliness was on point and great location for dining outside of the hotel if you choose to do so. 24 hour shuttle was definitely a plus. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HYATT PLACE JACKSONVILLE (AIRPORT) LOCATION

Enjoyed my stay here. Everyone was so friendly. Hotel was very nice and clean. I liked the fact that this hotel had a restaurant and bar inside. They also have a shuttle that will take you wherever you need to go within like a 5-mile radius I believe so it works great if you flew into Jacksonville and do not have a vehicle.

We stayed here recently with a block of rooms for a youth sports team. The rooms we clean, roomy and fully supplied. The service and the breakfast were great. The bar has food and drinks that were reasonably priced and the folks working were patient and helpful. They even have an airport shuttle that will drop off at nearby restaurants when not busy with the airport. Overall wonderful property and people!!

Updated to 1 star. Most recent stay on June 16, 2023. The room this time was well below standards. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly and the showerhead isn't secured to the wall. So you aren't able to adjust the shower head. Shower gets the bathroom floor wet. Within minutes of us checking in. The maintenance man knocks on the door stating that no one supposed to be in this room. Thank God it is only for one night. This is my second and last stay here. (First stay April 2023)Enjoyed my stay here for the weekend. The room was great. Only issue I had was a guy at the front desk approached( hitting on her) my daughter after she asked for a do not disturb sign for the door. After given her the sign he followed her on the elevator and made her very uncomfortable. This act was very unprofessional.

Stay was ok, but bad breakfast. Experienced air conditioner and some other issues, but one of the front desk person finally took care of it. Have stayed in many Hyatt hotels. This is an embarrassment for the Hyatt group. It was really a disappointment experience for me and my family.

The gentleman told me I didn't have a reservation. Then told me it would be cheap if I purchased online. So I had to find a quit place to sit and fill everything out online. Got a confirmation number and went back to the gentleman for my room key. Room was clean and cold( just the way I like it) took a hot shower and climbed into a nice clean king size bed watch some TV on a huge screen and slept till 10am. Check out was noon! Very pleased with the later check out time. Would stay again, just next time I'll make sure I already have a confirmation before I arrive.

We stayed here on vacation- the rooms were clean, all staff members were incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! I would absolutely stay here again. It was a beautiful, spacious, and affordable stay that was close to literally EVERYTHING!

Had the worst flight with American Airlines leaving me scrambling to find a room late at night alone. The front desk was beyond helpful in being patient and helping me in my time of need. I especially appreciate Marissa for being accommodating. Room was spacious & clean . The breakfast included was buffet style and pretty good . Would recommend this hotel .

Located less than ten minutes from the airport and near tons of shops and restaurants. The room was neat, but a bit tight for a king with a pull out couch. One design flaw was having the air unit right next to the bed, blowing cold air straight at you. Everything was clean and comfortable until my husband had to kill a large black bug that crawled down the wall.

Had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. My family and I stayed in a room comfortably with 2 queen beds and a pull out. Breakfast was served every morning, so we didn't have to leave right away. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The staff shine at this hotel! They were friendly, caring, kind, really the best! We got plenty of towels. Room was clean, bed comfortable, good coffee. Only problem with our whole stay was that the air conditioner was quite loud!

Location is convenient, right near airport, room was big and clean! Bed was comfortable! And let me tell you about the breakfast. Fresh tortilla chips, grated cheeses, fresh yogurt and fruits, fresh pancakes! Anything you can possibly think of having for breakfast, they got you! BEST EVER!!

Decided due to being on a family trip, to stay here based on accommodations. We booked a double bed and sofa sleeper, and it was surprisingly comfortable for our family to stay without having to get an extra room. It was very accommodating and the parking was awesome. Convenient to everything we needed to get to.

Worst hotel ever. Be cautious! You can be forced to check out before checkout time! Your belongings can be removed before your checkout time!!! They gave us 2 rooms because they don’t have double beds room that we booked. In the morning, when came back from complimentary breakfast (around 9am), they took away our belongings even some are in trash, then was cleaning up the room. They said that room was not checked in into the system. Really! Unbelievable… this was happening. And the housekeeping ladies cannot speak English at all….. Never, ever recommend this hotel.

Stayed for three nights. Check-in was great. Room size was good for my daughter and myself. I was concerned it would be noisy being close to the airport like Miami airport hotels are, but it was extremely quiet. Breakfast was good. I used the gym a couple of times and it was adequate if you now how to do a dumbbell workout. They also had cardio equipment which i did not use. Reasonable cost. I like the location being in the center of downtown JAX and Fernandina Beach. About 30 minutes to either on of them. I would definitely stay again.

This was a nice hotel! The staff was very accommodating to our family during the homegoing of one of our family member. Really appreciate the front desk.

The management staff seem to leave the new people to defend for them selfs. While checking in late at night I was listening to staff members talking about putting their 2 weeks notice in and that the check in girl had only been there for a few months. So fats forward to the next day I had an issue with my booking my fault not the hotels, but a staff member ( Brain) went out of his way to help me I could tell he was getting stressed because it was complicated he had to get help, he did a great job. I was asking a good place to get some Tylenol and another staff member (Luis) told me where the cheapest place to get it was.

Very nice Hotel, we used Hyatt regularly and found this day to be average. Although front staff was wonderful very nice and helpful. Hotel was clean but room was just a bit run down but very clean. Breakfast was average. Keeping in mind covid-19 and service was reduced. But I must say adequate and tasty. Would certainly stay here again

Not bad... the room was neat and clean. It was kind of price. 150 for the night for a king bed room. There were some quirks in the room. The shower was only a shower. No bathtub. The shower door only went halfway across for some reason and water sprayed everywhere. You can't turn on the water without being inside the shower stall so you will get doused with cold water unless you get out of the way very fast. The TV was in the center of the room not the foot of the bed like most places. It did offer a free breakfast that was ok as long as you wanted what they offered you.

Great location but we were not aware the hotel is pet friendly, we had 2 very noisy dogs across the hall. Room was nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Overall we enjoyed the 2 night stay as the hotel was centrally located to the zoo and highway.

Mostly a nice experience. Was given a room right across from the elevators which is never good. It was hard to find a trash can in the room as well. The desk area was nice and I liked the food out couch. Bathroom was clean. Check in was easy. Included breakfast was better than average with good bacon and home fries. Pancakes were pretty hard though.

We are staying here tonight to catch a flight in the morning. The room is ok. It's fairly clean except there are stains all over the carpet and on pull out couch. When our daughter pulled the bed out of the couch there were crumbs on the sheets. Luckily there was a clean set in the closet. It definitely needs a deep clean or a remodel. We would not stay here again simply because I like a more update and clean hotel but the check in was super easy and the location to the airport is wonderful.

Best one we have stayed at yet. And the only one we have seen that had a full breakfast bar, hit n cold food and u don't have to pay for anything. And very clean. Stat here if u want a peaceful experience.

I am giving this three stars because I thought the staff was nice and courteous. It is COVID time so I don't want to be harsh. This hotel is okay. There was a smell in the room I just couldn't get over but when I closed the bathroom it was fine.

Would rate below one star if it were possible. Worst experience ever. Reserved a room and didn’t get to stay as the room was filthy (dirty mattress with blood stains, sheets were dirty and had pubic hair and the room smelled of mold and feet.) I had a King room with a sofa bed. When we pulled out the bed to check it out, the cover was dirty with black stains and food crumbs. Clearly the bedding hadn’t been changed. The carpet was filthy and had huge stains. Ended up not being able to stay, as there weren’t any additional rooms available to accommodate me. To top it off, the customer service was poor. Very frustrating experience and a huge inconvenience.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Service was superb, room was VERY clean and spacious! Traveling with a toddler and would highly recommend. Breakfast was also good. They even had a microwave which are now rare to find.

Service desk was very friendly, breakfast bar great as usual, the AC blew cold as ice, and location was pretty convenient. However, the room was not properly cleaned. The floors were disgustingly dirty. My sons feet were black. We found beer bottle caps in the pull out couch and hair pins were found by the microwave. Even the closet door was found off the track and did not properly close. (Don’t charge me, I found it that way). Even the water spout for the tub was crooked. Sitting at the bar in the lobby it was overheard that there were several rooms that had issues with access and with AC. So overall- great customer service, just needs improvements on the overall cleanliness of the rooms.

We stayed overnight at the Hyatt Place Jacksonville Airport in order to pick up our son from the airport from an early morning flight. We found the room to be very nice with separate areas for study, relaxing, and sleeping. The bed was comfortable but the pillows could be improved. They were all foam filled with about the same firmness and were a bit lumpy. I like hotels that offer several good pillows to choose from of varying firmness. The staff was friendly, breakfast was tasty, and parking was plentiful. The drive to the airport was only 7 minutes, so the location was perfect for our purpose.

So… the last time I was here a man followed around the hotel and I had to get security to walk me to my room. The woman at the front desk was so kind and listened to me and die the best she could. The second time I had to stay I actually tasted the food which was not good at all. The staff is so so sweet but the food just isn’t good. I ordered the chicken sandwich and the wings and immediately regretted my choice. The rooms are comfortable enough, bathrooms clean and updated, but definitely nothing to fantasize over. If you’re coming to Jax for the city and to visit others the hotel is fine for what it can offer.

It's a really great place to stay. Room has a very unique layout. Continental breakfast was okay, hot and cold. One thing was missing though, I do expect to get potato wedges with scrambled eggs. Loved the fact that they kept stainless steel cutlery and stoneware cups which are reusable, it would have been perfect if plates were also stoneware. I would always prefer staying at a hotel which follows sustainable options. Well done.

Poor management. Staff are unprofessional and disinterested, especially in the evening. The hotel is not maintained well. I’ve stayed previously and it seems worse each stay. Management may have changed in recent years. It seemed better previously. Dirty floors, torn curtains, and an overall lack of attention to detail.

My family was in Jacksonville due to a funeral. Our stay at Hyatt was excellent! I want to give major props to Ms. Michelle and Ms. Alicia (please forgive me if I spelt your names wrong) and your housekeeping staff. Our time at the hotel was wonderful. Everyone there helped turn a stressful event into a very relaxing time, thanks again for all you guys did, we really appreciate you all! Oh, and the hotel was very clean, breakfast was wonderful!

It is the best budget hotel I have stayed in with my family. We were only in this hotel for one night but we left very satisfied. The check-in process was quick and easy, the person who helped us was very kind and friendly. We were surprised by the size and comfort of our room, for which we would have paid at least double in an upscale hotel. It was clean and had everything we needed. We all slept very well, no noise to disturb us. The breakfast was very good; more than we expected. I highly recommend this hotel.

This stay at Hyatt did not live up to the Hyatt reputation. We used Hyatt points to book our stay. Our room was fine- beds were comfortable. There was some hair in the bathroom sink when we arrived and on the counter. (I'm assuming from the cleaning staff). We arrived late and got a good night sleep. We woke up early to utilize the workout room before breakfast. There are 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, and 1 bike, as well as some weights. One of the treadmills had a broken screen and said "Out of order". The bike was usable but the screen was off (black) so you could not adjust any speed or see distance/calories/time. The elliptical had a frozen screen- so it was lit up like it was working, but again could not be used to change the speed/resistance or see time/calories. One treadmill worked great. I went to the front desk to get help with the elliptical. They sent a maintenance person to help. When he arrived he let me know that the machines were just how they were essentially. They were due an equipment upgrade 2 year ago (but then COVID happened) and they now have new machines on order, but they keep getting delayed. I let him know it would be helpful to have a sign on them explaining the machine works, but the user interface is disabled. He took note of that information. When we went to breakfast, it was a bit disappointing. We stayed at another Hyatt the night before and the breakfasts were completely different. The last Hyatt had a huge spread of fresh fruit, bread/pastries, plus a hot breakfast. This Hyatt, everything was prepackaged and saran wrapped (even bananas and oranges). The only bread option was bagels (not even regular bread to make toast). There were few limited fruit options. The yogurts, which were sitting on a cold bar were nearly frozen on the bottom of the cup and warm on the top. All in all, if you just need a good night of sleep, this hotel will get the job done! If you are looking to utilize the amenities like weight room, breakfast, etc... I would look for another option.

So far I'm enjoying my stay here. The staff as well as the guests are friendly and courteous. My room is nice and roomy. Breafast is included and served buffet style. You can order items for dinner or pick-up something from their snack area which located right next to their bar. They have shuttle service to and from the airport also.
