The property was clean. The front desk clerk was outstanding when we arrived. She had a line of about four groups checking in at once. She did a great job of moving everyone through efficiently, while still making each guest feel welcome. Breakfast was as expected for a holiday inn express. Good spot for a reasonable room for an overnight stop.

This hotel DOES NOT have big trucking parking!! Called last night asked the hotel if they had semi truck parking. And the lady at the desk Miss Lydia said that they did. And I specifically told the Miss Lydia that my husband and I were in an 18 wheeler. And she said YES, that they did. So when we got there she had us park in the back of the hotel. But the next morning when we were getting ready to leave the property. That's when the chaos began. It was such a tight squeeze all around trying to get out of the property. Trying to get to the back of the property was not too bad. But when trying to get out of the parking lot the next morning was awful! Then after my husband had jacked up some of the landscaping. I had got out of the truck to take pictures. Then That's when the hotel manager had gotten rude with me. Then the other lady who I believe was the assistant manager. Had stated to me so rudely, that we should have known better! And when I told her that I was not the driver. She then stated to me "Well you're in the truck aren't you?". So to keep from losing my cool I just walked away. What a way to start your day. We will never ever stay at another Holiday Inn Express again. And the only reason why choose Holiday Inn's is because these hotels are really clean. So Nope Never Again! Miss Lydia should have never told us that you guys had semi truck parking. Or else we would have never came to your hotel. Smh And as for management being rude to me when I was not being rude to her. Because I could have cussed out both of these ladies 6 ways from Sunday. But I did not I just politely walked away. So unless you are driving bobtail... Do Not Trust It! When they tell you that they have 18 wheeler parking.

Giving a three star review because... I had originally canceled my reservation due to issues at the airport and then I called back a few hours later and was able to reinstate it at the same price. I'm knocking a star off because the air conditioning system makes clicking noises when it turns on which kept waking me up and the fact that I can hear the kids bouncing around and being loud in the room next door. Seems soundproofing is non existent. I highly recommend bringing a white noise machine but make sure it's turned up LOUD. Lastly, the room smelled musty and there are stains on the carpet.

Great hotel. Very clean. Showers could be cleaner. I bought some spray clorox bathroom cleaner and cleaned shower before we used it. There was hair in it so I know your cleaning staff did not clean it at all. So wonder how good they clean rest of bathroom. Things like this is why great hotels go to pot. No extra bath tissue. I always take some because this is always an issue at any hotel. I think if cleaning staff knew someone was going to check after them they would do a better job. We stayed two nights. I never heard a vacuum going in any room.

Front desk was very friendly. Got off of the elevator to go to our room and the hallway stinks. Walked into our room and did our typical inspection before getting settled in. There was a long hair on the vanity. Toilet seat and toilet tank had hair on them as well. The carpet in the room was very old, dirty and disgusting. Bathroom floor was dirty. Breakfast was horrible. For hot food you had a choice of cheese omelette, sausage and make your own pancakes. We were disappointed because we stayed at this same hotel in Tennessee and they had potatoes, sausage, scrambled eggs, and much more. Issues with the elevator. 4 floors with only 1 elevator. Had to press the button multiple times to get it to stop on our floor. We also got stuck in the elevator for a brief moment. It stopped in the middle of our trip up to the room. A big jolt caused juice to spill and the elevator stopped. It then started back up and we got to our floor safely. It was a very scary moment. Very old hotel

We stayed here after staying at about 4 other Holiday Inn Expresses on a round trip road trip from South Florida to Virginia. This one by far was the worst. The whole hotel had a muggy smell and the room didn't seem like it had a good deep cleaning. Shelf around microwave was dusty to the point you could write your name, bathroom floor and shower floor seemed dirty as well. This is definitely an old building, but I guess the good news is that they're remodeling it or so it seems with "the sorry, we're under construction notice" at the front entrance. The breakfast was a little lacking as well compared to other HIE hotels.

Nice hotel. Super loud hallways and outside. Need more sound barriers. You could hear doors slamming at all hours and car alarms going off. House keeping vacuuming at 8am next door was not the Wake up call I was expecting. Not enough towels and housekeeping acted annoyed when we asked for more. Breakfast was good. Front desk has very nice. Location was great.

I always use the Holiday Inn when traveling, however, this was the first time with my daughter. The room was small but it worked for us. My daughter walked in the room and said, it's small. Lol I've always had larger rooms with them but since I have a RV it worked for me. Everything there but compact. When I called about anything, I received immediate service. I love the excellent service and great hospitality. I only asked for room service once. I bought products to clean daily but I requested service so housekeeping could change the sheets and vacuum the room. I left a tip before and afterwards but was disappointed. My shower was not clean (hair in the shower...Yuk to me) No one spoke English but I was able to sign to get towels daily. We made it work. Even though we did not request full service but once, we met housekeeping in the hall to get towels, etc. I also gave a tip then...its still service. Outside of the one day room service...it was great. I did not mention to management either so that's on me. Everyone do not clean like you. Also, I requested being near an elevator or on the 1st floor because of my daughter's disability. We got it. She walked independently throughout the hotel. It was a safe place for her. I would definitely return to this hotel again. Management is top notch. Definitely a friendly and safe atmosphere. I totally recommend.

Amazing experience. Family friendly! Clean. Front desk staff is amazing! The breakfast guy kept the area nice and clean and organized! Martin is so amazing and attentive. No job was too big for him. He greeted us with a warm smile every time we walked into the hotel. Anything we needed he was there to assist with no hesitation. I hope to see him again as management. He needs some sort of recognition. Most things 10 to 20 minutes away from the hotel. Beach very close!

Water pressure was kinda low but the overall atmosphere was soft and quiet. Nice pool but it rained all day because of thunderstorm surge, very nice clerk at the desk. Beds are very comfy and clean as well as the room.

We chose a room on the first floor and it was super quiet as there are fewer guest rooms. Nice hotel, very friendly staff, clean common areas and good hot breakfast. Can't go wrong with this location.

Not as good as a standard Holiday Inn Express. 1) Service - tissue box was completely empty on checkin. Brought the empty box to the Front desk who didn't really think it was a big issue. 2) Desk is right next to AC fan. You can NOT sit and work without having direct nonstop cold air blowing in your face. 3) Window is completely filthy, you can barely see out of it. 4) Room is smaller than most, with the TV to the side - not in front of the bed like most locations.

The room was dirty & had hair under the fitted sheet & in the bathroom. There was a Lego on the carpet when we entered so who knows what else was in the carpet we couldn't see! Wore shoes the whole time! Pool area was nice but not a lot of umbrellas for shade & only 3 lounge chairs.

Never write reviews, but what an AMAZING experience. Our flights were canceled back to NJ due to the storm. Family of 4 driving last minute back to Jersey. The staff was soo helpful and friendly. The room was super clean . Even had a pull out couch kids got to sleep separately! Score! They came right up with a sheet set so I can set it up for my son. We slept like babies. The beds were so soft! My husband said he could have slept another 6 hrs. Up at 6am. Breakfast was amazing huge breakfast bar. So many choices , super friendly staff even in the morning. Very impressed! Thank you to the staff at this HIE. We thanks you

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times and each time is a pleasure. The facility is clean and quiet, the rooms are clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. I took off 1 star because the breakfast is not what it should be, in my opinion (the scrambled eggs were sitting in a puddle of water, and the bananas were nearly black), and because the king size bed in my room made an awful squeaking sound when getting in and out of the bed on one side (not great when getting up in the night to go to the bathroom). Also, my husband had to snag a roll of toilet paper off the housekeeper's cart the next morning because there was no extra roll in our room anywhere. But I definitely recommend this hotel when traveling to or through the Jacksonville area.
