So I travel ALL of the time and I ALWAYS stay with Hilton brand hotels. I have never been disappointed. I wasn’t completely happy with this stay. Everyone was extremely friendly and the hotel was clean and in a great location. The outside pool was freezing but felt refreshing when it was really hot. Keep in mind the pool only has sunlight on it from 9am-2pm max. Our room was okay but we didn’t have any hot water at all. I went on day one and told the front desk and someone stopped by the room within five minutes but told us it was fine we just had to let the water run for a bit. Even after letting the shower run for 15 minutes it only was luke warm at best. Needless to say I only took cold showers. The ice machine was broken on our floor. The breakfast that they offer in the mornings is complimentary at every other Hilton hotel I have ever stayed in but here it is $13.95 a person. I only found that out because I asked - had I not we would have been charged $30 without realizing it at all. When I come back I will most like find a different Hilton in the area.

Great property with a wonderful staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Rose at the front desk stood out and made me feel very welcome from the minute I arrived. The breakfast staff was also wonderful and attentive. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and fast. Nice view from my room of downtown.

Rooms were very outdated for 200 a night. The "suite was not a suite at all" Could not find the valet guy when we first checked in in order to get parking pass. Some of the staff including the GM were very nice and helpful and willing to make things right. Other staff was quite the opposite. Have stayed at many Hiltons and in comparison this was the worst but I think the GM will turn it around.

NOT CASHLESS YET! 🎉 Hotel was a good experience. We only needed it for 1 night (Jason Aldean Concert). Everything was clean and the staff was very nice. Room was spacious. Even though we were in town, I actually like my view. We could see the town but there was an exit next to us. Felt like I was watching racing in real life. Well worth the visit. Thank you

Not worth it at all. Have to pay for parking. Location is next to a nasty subway station with a huge homeless population living near the station. Only one family friendly restaurant in walking distance. And don't let the 1st floor fool you. All the other levels haven't been updated since the 90s and are disgusting, damaged, and dirty looking. Staff was also quite rude. We usually love Hilton brand hotels. Not this one.

The two rooms I stayed in were very humid and have a funky smell. Bathroom ceilings are peeling. Parking is $20 per night. No breakfast included, not even coffee. The pool area is beautiful and the gym is well accommodated. However, during future visits to the area I’ll plan other accommodations.

Lots of hidden fees not stated on the original booking site. I was also up charged our second night by $50 which wasn’t what I originally was quoted. The rooms furniture was subpar for the price we paid. I understand it’s a hotel and will have some wear and tear but everything but the bed needed some work. Our bed was comfy but missing the skirt. Lastly the bathroom was really gross and full of mold. I also stepped on an earring with my bare foot that must’ve been left by the previous guest which just proves the room wasn’t vacuumed well or at all. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for the price they charge.

Wouldn’t recommend. They charge $18 for Parking.. They also charge for breakfast. Ive never been to a Hilton that didn’t offer complimentary breakfast. We were welcomed off the elevator to the smell of cigarette all down our hallway. The room smelled a musty upon opening the door. Over all, wouldn’t stay again nor would I recommend.

Booked my room from Hotel tonight! $219 supposed to be a suit! Turned out to be one room two beds! Took 15 minutes to get help when I first came in! Lady explained to me the pet fee was $125 but on Hotels Tonight it said $50! Then explain its $15 for parking Hotel tonight said $9.99! Plus additional $40 hold on your card! This really set a tone for my families vacation! My last time staying here not worth it

I have to say I was very disappointed during my stay considering the condition of the hotel. I understand that things happen beyond the hotel’s control, but guest should be notified at time of booking that the place is under some kind of construction and services which we come to depend on (I.e. breakfast) are not available. I understand they were sending guests next door, but we both know the breakfast there is nothing compared to what is offered at HGI. The missing ceilings near the elevator, wires hanging out that wall, the stained flooring throughout the hotel, and not having bath rags in my room was just to name a few things I was shocked to discover. As a Diamond Member, I choose this brand of hotels because of the comfort in knowing that I am going to get a level of service that I have come to love and appreciate. You can’t charge rates based on what the hotel once was, but need to reflect what current conditions are. Sadly, this was a step up from a Motel 6 and I don’t say that lightly. I was here attending a family emergency and recommended this hotel to all my family who also stayed here, and frankly I was embarrassed. The highlight of the stay was the wonderful staff at the front desk. Despite working in conditions like this, they were very upbeat and charismatic. That is the one thing that I can say has stayed true to what has always been when I come here. I have to say, this will probably be the last stay at this location.

From the moment we got there, the staff was polite and extremely accommodating! My girlfriends and I traveled with our daughters and thoroughly enjoyed our stay where the rooms were clean, housekeeping was exceptionally helpful, and the pool was beautiful! Definitely would stay here again!

While lobby looks more recently update, the room decor was very tired: stuffing coming out of chair, mottled/damaged surface on the night stand, etc. Took over 8 minutes to get hot water the first evening and next day, it never got beyond tepid. Loud clanging noise, like someone moving tray at 7 am. For the price, this wasn't a stellar experience.

Okay sure the rooms/carpet is old. That doesn’t bother me! I was upset that the temperature control in my room didn’t work. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and the staff was amazing. The location is amazing as well!!! Don’t let old carpet turn you away from an amazing hotel.

This hotel is very nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool and hot tub are beautiful.. and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. My husband and I stayed for one night on Dec. 8 and we had a great experience all around.

This would've been a 1 star had it not been for the incredible attitude of India this morning. She definitely turned it around for me. I hate walking into a hotel that a spent almost 200 dollars for a night to feel like I'm bothering the person that needs to check me in. I was ready to email the manager last night but I wanted to see how the morning went. And India changed my mind. Incredible smile very pleasant and attentive. Your location needs more people like her at the desk.

Very disappointed... Hotel is rundown, paint pealing, and furniture looks like it came from a bump & dent sale. Hot tub is out of commission indefinitely... Floors in room were definitely not vacuumed before we got there the trash & debris wasn't small. UPDATE - Due to owner response. ~ Your response is extremely disingenuous. I don't need to waste my time calling your company (If that was something I had wanted to do I would have done it myself)... Additionally, there is no reason you should be more information from me. Go walk around your own hotel and look at the peeling paint, the rundown furniture, your long-term hard down hot tub, and all the other issues that would be noticed... It is not my job to point this out to you. Go walk around your own hotel.

I am a Hilton Honors member because I trust my experience will be excellent, and this stay was no different. From the moment I walked in the hotel until the moment I left I felt comfortable, safe and appreciated. The staff was attentive, and the room was perfect. The overall appearance of the hotel was clean and pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Here for a work trip. Great hotel with excellent staff. Very helpful! The gym is a huge plus as I am recovering from surgery and needed to do my pt exercises. The gym was well equipped. The peloton bike was an additional bonus.

Before finalizing any trip, I do a quick check on a few sites, including HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm My last trip was surprisingly affordable after that bit of research. The breakfast is complementary and has over 10 plus options most of the time. The rooms were clean and spacious. The amenities were great outdoor pool and spa. They provided shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, dishwasher powder, Deodorant, lotion, razors, soap bars and coffee most of the day. Great place to stay! Could use a little renovation in rooms with carpet, smell, and the garbage disposals but other than that it was a nice experience! Would come again

Wasn’t happy with the stay at all. Wasn’t advised at checkin that you had to request guest services. Sheets were dirty and had to change ourselves, paid $17 per day per car for parking when people that were there for the event for the weekend got to park free, water only got lukewarm only positive note is staff were friendly and the location was convenient would never use this hotel again.

I am a Hilton Diamond traveler and this place has great staff. Specifically Cherie P is awesome. The location is nice and close to beautiful river walk. Make sure to go jogging by river and on the bridge early morning or afternoon to see dolphins. Keep in mind it’s a downtown location and a bit older but kept up well. Yes they have shortcomings but overall with great staff it makes it 5 star

Beware! The room are ok, not what you would expect for a Hilton, but wasn’t bad. They don’t tell you that there is an extra 20.00 fee to park, they ask you for a CC for “incidentals” then automatically deduct the 20.00 fee for garage parking, even though there is outside parking that’s free. Breakfast is not free either, and it’s exactly buffet style as a 50.00 room at motel 6! Update - So I was looking at my bank account a few minutes ago, they took out 102.59. I called in, they stated it was another incidental deposit. I told them they already had a deposit. Why in the world Do these people charge you 3 freaking times? Two of them being deposits? Horrible place to do business with. We will NEVER stay at a Hilton again!!!

Stayed here in early October. There were multiple bloodstains on the blankets, the AC sounded like a rattling jet engine that randomly came on during night (and at one point the cover just randomly clattered off), making it pretty difficult to sleep or hear anything. I spent extra for the "experience the stay" package that gave 25 dollars credit a day, assuming I'd use it for room service or something - the desk staff claimed to know nothing about it, and even if they did, there was no direct room service - you had to go down to get your food, it was only operational between the uh, super accessible hours of 5PM to 9PM, and the menu was completely different/way lower quality than the menu displayed by the room's QR code. One of the phones was broken, and there were no glasses available - just two paper cups. I suppose the pool and location were nice? I've been to other Hiltons and they were totally fine, idk what happened to this one. But really, don't stay here.

A nice clean hotel located near the canals between downtown and San Marcos. The hotel has a bar and restaurant. It also has a secure parking garage. The prices are a little high, but not too high (including parking). The staff was friendly and helpful with providing information about the area.

As a Hilton Honors member I was not impressed by the conditions and cleanliness of the rooms. The smell of the rooms was musty and hallways smell of sewage (could be the WWTP across). The room carpet can be cleaned better as there was stains and dusty bunnies and even some awful looking things I’m afraid to know what it was. Also parking fee was not mention at check in . I will do my research and stay elsewhere next time.

The price of the room far exceeds the value of the accommodations. The staff is professional, but room decor is outdated and bathroom had an odor. The breakfast offer is unreasonable. They charge for food items on continental breakfast that almost ALL cheap hotels provide free of charge... not what I have come to expect from the Hilton brand.

Staff was very nice and accommodating is after the bar area had closed and we ordered food delivered. The room was nice and beds comfortable. Only small complaint was the shower’s low water pressure and the sink drained very slow. May need some maintenance.

The staff here are great. The front desk clerk was very busy, but worked through the line quickly and continued to acknowledge the waiting guests. She had a positive attitude and seemed to genuinely care about exceeding guest expectations. The wait staff at breakfast were equally as pleasant. They were attentive to my requests and provided consistent service thrifty my stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

I would stay here again. The room was large and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had pre-purchased the breakfast for $12.50 per person when we booked the room. I highly recommend including the breakfast when booking. It was a great bargain. Full breakfast options to order and also included a breakfast buffet as well.

My girlfriend and I got a room this weekend.. Very nice. Very clean.. we stayed the entire weekend.. upon leaving, I left an entire bag with very expensive items in it.. hours later I still had not realized I forgot my bag, only to get a call from the hotel letting me know the maid found my bag.. I want to say thank you to the maid that cleaned room 414 on Sunday January 30th, 2021. ALL of my expensive items were still in my bag.. Great Honest Service!! Will stay again next month for sure!!! Thank you Hilton… Ms. Jackson.. aka Highberger

I love the location. Quiet and easily walkable to several bars and restaurants. The staff was SO nice and welcoming. They were possibly the kindest and sweetest hotel staff I’ve ever met. I had two separate reservations which needed to be combined and they did so seamlessly. They explained the parking, amenities, charges thoroughly. We requested a few items sent to the room and they showed up immediately. Would definitely stay again

Conveniently located, although road construction surrounding the facility can make you deviate from your GPS to get there currently. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The facility itself shows some sign of aging but improvements seem to be taking place in stages. Reasonable cost and overall decent place to stay.

It was gross there was hair on the bathroom walls and floors. The floor had not been vacuumed and the room hadn’t been dusted. It was completely dirty and not up to regular standards. Also our room smelled like stale smoke. I would never stay here.

  • 5/5 Tabitha S. 1 year ago on Google
Well, I can only share our balcony photos...but I can assure you the room and services we received were amazing. The front desk staff had us taken care of in no time, not to mention if you download the Hilton honors app, your able to do EVERYTHING in it...for those of you who like "no contact" experiences. I'm just a people person. ❤️ No rooms on the first floor...so since we HAD to use the elevator, we chose a room on the 8th floor. Which by the way, the elevators are very smooth. The evening views were phenomenal on the times rain decided to let a view peek through. 🙄 Lol. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

The hotel was conveniently located off of the interstate and there are several restaurants within walking distance. My experience was far from what I am used to at a Hilton property. The room I was given smelled like smoke which I brought to the attention of staff and asked if they could spray it while I am gone. This did not happen and when I was leaving I mentioned this and the reply was you should do it yourself. I left a message for management and contacted Hilton directly. There was no response from them. The bar had draft taps but no one had changed the kegs I was told. Restaurant on site was closed for dinner but open for breakfast. There are many choices in the area which I will use next time I am in Jacksonville.

Temperatures inside the hotel were warm, the hallways and rooms smell like damp and mold. AC wall unit was left running all day, still the room temperature wasn’t colder than 70 degrees. Carpets were extremely dirty and around the mini fridge, there was water. The humidity is a huge problem in this hotel. Water pressure in the bathroom was awful; and no hot water. Left the water running for a while thinking it might need some time to get hot… water was cold. Restaurant was closed Wednesday and Thursday, staff couldn’t provide an answer to this. On Tuesday the bar and restaurant only had one person running the show. Waiting times to order, to get the food and to pay was more than usual. Poor guy was running around like a crazy person trying to help everybody there. It wasn’t even busy, can’t imagine the amount of stress that guy was working on. Even worst, the food wasn’t that good. Presentation was terrible and the taste, even worst. THIS IS NOT A HILTON QUALITY HOTEL!

UPDATE - We recieced a standard we will look into it message, no real action though. In a futher update to our stay: The gym equipment is not clean at all. The front desk staff have been amazing and the staff in the bar/ lounge have been as well. The food and drinks are fairly priced ORIGINAL REVIEW: We travel frequently and normally stay with Hilton. My current stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Downtown, It was made abundantly clear that loyalty to their brand as an Honors Member means nothing. Room smell - 1 star Room itself - 4 star Lobby - 4 star Parking - 4 star Hilton honors - 1 star

Everything was wonderful! The room was great and the staff was even better. The food in the bar/restaurant was delicious and the service was stellar. I can’t express enough how impressed we were with ever aspect of our stay there. We are looking forward to coming back.

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in years. We did not get maid service the entire four days we were there (not a single day). No towels were brought to the room. The TV didn't work and ultimately was replaced. The bathroom sink was clogged and took 2 visits from maintenance to get it working. I found a previous guest's hair on the bedspread and their socks in the drawers indicating the room was not cleaned prior to our arrival. We arrived at 6:30pm so they had plenty of time to clean the room. I am a Hilton Honors member and this was so bad, I will not stay at another Hilton property again!

My wife and I stayed here for the Jags game last weekend. Great location and quiet even with all the loud mouth Titan fans-great to see them go home. Staff was excellent shout out to Jhane Wheeler at front desk, always pleasant and had all the answers, loved her!! Jose the bar tender, please get him some help on game nights, he was the best as well! Great breakfast as well, we will be back!!

While the staff tried their best and were very friendly, the hotel is in disrepair. One elevator is broken, the other is sporadically out of order. Two of the three treadmills are inoperable, the third one is missing a button. The tub was stained. The bar/restaurant closed early even though many tables were present and requesting food. Only one bartender was present for the entire (full) dining room. Breakfast is not included, but is on par with what would be included at other hotels.

Property sits between vacant urban lots and parking garages, though the property is probably the nicest in the area. There just isn't much around it attractive enough to walk to. Staff were all great. Entryway and common areas were very nice. Problem was the room. One elevator working, heavy cannabis smell on the floor (not against it but pretty damn rude in public areas aka your hotel room is still not your own property), lukewarm showers (thanks Georgetown women's softball team. I'm joking. they were lovely but I'm sure they drained the hotel's hot water), and room had a damp feel to it. Just a lack of attention to details that it was not the most pleasant overnight.

I was here for training and simply impressed by the staff, property, the service, and the hospitality. The breakfast smelled awesome and the pool is just as lovely as can be. I will have to return to stay in a room to rate it and expect no less than the quality I observed in the other services.

  • 2/5 Heather H. 10 months ago on Google
Was not impressed at all. Clean but very outdated. No hot water, barely even warm. Also having to pay for parking was ridiculous. Would not return and do not recommend. The area was a little sketchy as well. At least the staff at the front desk was friendly.

  • 1/5 Carissa R. 10 months ago on Google
If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. Been traveling all day. Get here. Just to get in my room and there is NO HOT WATER. Forced to take a cold shower. No more rooms available. To be insulted by Staff offering me free breakfast. As if breakfast is going to total over $200 that I paid for my room. Vinisha at the front desk had absolutely no solution. She said she has no authority to give a refund. So I say okay. Give the free breakfast and I'll speak to the manager about the refund. She the takes the free breakfast back at that point and tells me I get nothing until I speak with the manager that comes in the next day. NO HOT WATER. THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO FIX. NOT ABLE TO CALL MAINTENANCE TO FIX. NOTHING. NO SOLUTION WHATSOEVER . ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD IN ANY HOTEL.
