Stayed two nights at the Springfield. First night- had to go to the front desk to get cleaning supplies for tub because it was so dirty. Woke up in the middle of the night to feed baby and there was a roach inside the baby’s bottle. Called front desk and advised them of the situation. Manager moved us to another room and gave 4000 bonus points which is not enough to cover the emotional distress of having to feed your crying baby out of a bottle that was infested with a roach. Checking out- was overcharged $20.43. Asked the attendant why I was charged $20.43 more, she called the manager. The manager stated it was a temporary hold for incidentals and the extra $20 would not be charged to the card. I felt she was just telling me that to “appease” me and I was right. It definitely was Not true! I was charged $273.54; not $253.11. Tried to work this out with management however they refuse to respond.

I was worried staying here after reading so many poor reviews. I’m not sure that all of the bad reviews are warranted. The hotel was clean in the common areas as well as our room (I’m a clean freak and check the beds/room for bed bugs and wipe down the room with Lysol wipes. The bed was very clean as were the wipes when I finished wiping down the room as was everything else. No bad smells). The hotel staff we came in contact with was very nice and the shuttle picked us up quickly from the airport when we called. The breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast with hot and cold breakfast options as well as fruits and muffins. We can’t complain. Close to a Walmart and offsite places to eat in walking distance. For the price, we are very happy with our stay and I would stay there again. The only negative was the iron cord would not stay pulled out-it kept retracting. But overall a good stay.

Only stayed overnight after a late flight, in order to set sail on a cruise the following afternoon. The hotel was clean and the staff were all accommodating. The bed lacked to be desired. I've stayed in many Marriott hotels, and these beds ranked pretty low and need upgraded.

Worn out and old furniture in the room. The rooms were smelly probably from the dirty old carpet. The bath tub was slippery. The breakfast had wrinkled boiled eggs. Few choices at breakfast. DON’T WASTE MONEY FOR THIS HOTEL.

Beds were comfy. Room was fine. Remote batteries for TV were almost dead. Shower was one of the worst I've had in any hotel I've stayed in ever in USA. front desk was nice. Liked free snack bag on arrival. Breakfast was edible only by kids (cereal). Coffee was so bad my husband who needs coffee couldn't even drink it.

Room not clean and terrible front desk service. The sofa has bread crumbs and chocolate pieces on it, and the mattress underneath has stains everywhere and impossible to sleep on. All trash bins are sticky at the bottom. I can hear my neighbors clearly from the bathroom, which suggests terrible sound proof. The front desk is very rude and impossible to talk to.

Reviews were mixed so I wasn’t sure but this hotel ended up being perfect for us. Room was large, clean and offered 2 beds and a sofa bed. Nice toiletries, bright parking lot, fridge and desk in the room. Common areas were nicely appointed. Breakfast wasn’t stellar but didn’t realize it was included so worked great for us. Grabbed a cereal and hopped back in the car. Great proximity to airport and zoo. Fantastic for the price point. Would totally recommend.

Went here for a job interview, and NO I did not get selected. So if years of valuable experience doesnt get you in the door then what will?🤔, So I'll know to bring the missing piece with me for future interviews elsewhere 😂

Service was great and very attentive. So do not blame at all the employees or maintenance. But the fact that a room has two beds rotting with bed bugs, should be enough to say not stay here. Even though had 3 nights reserved, left the hotel as soon as was given the room and saw bed bugs. Not sure if they will charge or refund. Apologies for not taking pictures.

If you expect to use the pool, call to confirm it's open before you go! My mom called to reserve the rooms and asked the pool hours and was told until 8pm. When we arrived (well before 8pm and maybe 2.5 hours after she'd called to book the rooms) she was informed the pool was "closed for maintenance." Why they didn't tell mom that info when she asked the hours is a challenge to understand. There was also no offer to call one of the neighboring Marriott hotels that had an open pool to ask if we could use it. The beds were harder than rocks (and I've slept on rocks while camping) and the cleaning solution used is REALLY strong, for those who are sensitive to scents (smelled like undilluted PineSol was used, it was that strong). My mom was under the impression the hotel was new but it most definitely was not. It had a makeover, for sure, and the lobby area was nice. But our 1st floor room still felt dated. It was nice to have the sink separate from the toilet/shower area. And I the fridge/microwave/bar area was convenient. We could hear all the doors along the hallway closing - likely due to the inch tall gap under our entry door. The free breakfast was very basic but met our needs (toast, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, sausage patties, some sort of breakfast corn muffin, cereals, juice, fruit that was pretty old). The individual milk boxes the kids got had soured but the nice lady maintaining the breakfast area brought out a gallon of milk to use for cereal.

Stayed at property from 10/1-10/4. Room was nice and clean. (We stayed at the Spring Hill Suites Jacksonville Airport for a family visit) Nancy checked us in and was very professional and accommodating. Our stay was for 3 nights, only issue we had was ants. My partner and I both discovered several ants (both alive and dead) in both queen beds. When we first reported it to the f/d, we did not want to move rooms, even though they suggested it. Unfortunately, when we came back late our last night, I encountered a cluster of about 5 ants as I was pulling back the sheets near the pillows. I went to the front desk and asked to be moved. Ms.. Frances was very gracious and quickly moved us to a different room. The ants were our only challenge and it was met with quick, and professional followup from the f/d to the GM. Many Thanks.

We were very disappointed. We were going to stay two more nights but decided against it. We had no internet so my great granddaughter could not go to sleep with her tablet ( she has used every night for two years). I was the great grandmother who was very sick Thursday morning and we called for a late checkout. The lady at the desk was very rude. When my granddaughter went down for the new key the front desk receptionist was incredibly rude. It was very disappointing because the hotel is very beautiful. I would love to say it was a good experience but it was not.

Christine assisted me during check in. She was extremely helpful, I had some special requests that she was able to accommodate for me. 5 star service from Christine! I am very appreciative of her help. I have stayed here a couple times now and the rooms are always clean the the location is extremely convenient for me. This is my go to for when I’m flying in and out of Jacksonville.

Bait and Switch situation. Would not recommend this hotel until it is remodeled. It’s not okay to provide a letter to your guests after they book a room, stating that you acknowledge the stains and warn down furniture. While asking full price. The pictures on the website were deceiving. If I wanted a SUITE. Covered in stains and warn down furniture; I would expected a way lower price. Also, I would have gone somewhere else. We were looking for a nice vacation. Not a “good enough hotel room”. There were so many issues. My main issue was the stains that were everywhere. It’s hard to not question what else in the room was not clean. The pictures of the hotel on the website are not how the hotel room or hotel looked. After messaging the front desk about our concerns. All they said was “we will let the management know”. Which management did nothing. Super disappointed with this hotel. I would not recommend staying here until they get their act together.

went in at 11:45pm last night tired from a long day and driving with my husband and 2 small kids and the first room they gave us had dried blood under the queen sized mattress, (we always lift and look in hotels). so we asked for a new room, they gave us a room on another floor and my husband lifted the queen sized mattress and there was a HUGE bright red blood stain about 20 inches round. do not stay here‼️

Nasty hotel. Breakfast mediocre they shut down at 9am. Room stunk like musty wet carpet. We were supposed to have connecting rooms - didn’t happen. Shower water had minimal pressure and surrounding area has NO food options on holidays! Only thing open was Waffle House and Dennys- Jacksonville you can do much better than this!

A good hotel that need $10,000 budget for deep cleaning and few other. Room size is good for individual and families. Location is good. The carpet is dirty and need a deep clean. Need couple of extra toaster and Waffle maker in the breakfast area. It is not acceptable to have 1 of each for so many people. Every one is waiting for their turn ! You can do lot better with little investment!

The breakfast is very basic, not a lot of options, and not enough for all the guests. They kept running out of eggs potatoes and fruit during the 1 hr I went down to have breakfast. The beds were squeaky, the sheets on my bed had ripped holes, the other bed had a big stain on the mattress. The entire hotel is dark, the rooms, the elevators, the general area, it's kinda eerie.

Exceptional for family stay. Large room with easy arrangements for 5, Six with someone on a couch. Super easy off the highway. Front desk staff was excellent, even during an overbooked holiday weekend. Very clean. Beds are super average, but the only sign that this is a "budget" hotel. For the price it is fantastic. If we had paid more it would be 4 star, but for the price I don't think anyone could expect better.

Generally speaking, this property is fine. However, mid-August and the pool is "under construction" which must be code for broken. Specifically booked this property because I was traveling with my 12 year old granddaughter who loves swimming. No notification when I booked. No notification at check-in. Just put on our swimsuits and headed to the pool. Sad face. See the photo. Very, very disappointed, especially by the lack of notice. I get it. Things break. But let your guests know and give them a choice to book elsewhere.

Picked this place as a last minute choice. Best idea. For my family of 5 the room was perfect. Very large with the queen beds, separate area with sofa and trundle bed and tv. Booked with booking.com

I'm a Marriott regular and this is my first time in JAX. The location near the airport was perfect for me. The hotel was quiet, room was spotless and inviting. A few restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was well-stocked and started my day right. My only issue was the gym. One treadmill would not start when I tried to use it, and the other was occupied. I skipped the treadmill and began lifting. The treadmill then began spinning on its own about 5 minutes later. 3 people is about the max for the hotel gym, so you may have to wait for space to clear. Besides that, I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed my visit.

Rather than a cheaper hotel (by atleast $50), we chose this one bcuz it was all around a great experience previously. Apparently, things have drastically changed in 2 years. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! The front desk lady seemed irritated she had to check us in at 1030p ET bcuz (she was on her phone). She mumbled where we go, wifi password, and room#. Hurrying us. Bcuz only 1 key was given for 3 adults, at check in, I asked to have the mobile key enabled. When we got to room the app said to see front desk to enable it, so we asked again after getting our things (still nothing). When we came back from dinner told her it's still not working and asked her to disable/re-enable to see if it worked (since I troubleshot my app/device) she completely (rudely) disregarded my question when another customer came in, she greeted asking what they've been up to, and were talking like he's been there awhile (he offered his leftovers from dinner). I just walked away. AC was on, but the room never got below 75° - was cooler outside than room or entire hotel! No light switches worked, so used lamps. No way was I going back to her for anything. Both queens were so uncomfortable, which sucks if you've been in the car for (6) hours. We all got roughly 3-4 hrs of bad sleep out of the 12 we were there. Housekeeping before checkout was super helpful and nice. They were the best part of the experience.

Sheets had some stains on them. Lots of space for our family of 5 to fit. Complimentary breakfast is always appreciated. Front desk staff was very kind and hospitable. Very close to the airport and about 15 from cruise port.

I stayed at a Springhill Suites in Indy and it was great so I booked this for our pre-cruise stay. The room was gross. It was so humid and smelled funky. The room was hot when we arrived. There were stains on the couch. There was something spilled or leaking in the fridge. The tub was really gross. We checked in at 3:30 am and out asap. I wouldn’t recommend.

Very clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was great as well. The customer service here is amazing! Everyone that I interacted with was very helpful, kind, and courteous. The front desk team and manager accommodated to my needs when I had to have a last minute business meeting in the conference room. The customer service itself made my experience excellent! I highly recommend and will be staying here again.

The rooms were much bigger than I anticipated. The sleeper sofa came in handy. Extra closet space and free breakfast you can't beat it. The lady in front was training another employee. Very nice and courteous and I appreciate that because good customer service is hard to find.

Late post...stayed here in August 2022, the entrance smelled good, staff was prompt and I received a goody bag upon arrival. The room & bathroom were very clean. 3mins from Airport. Will definitely stay again and again.

Arrived a little after 9pm. Check-in was fast and easy since we did on-line pre check. We got a room in the 1st floor. The lobby and front desk are pretty clean and nice looking. Parking lot is well lit. Upon entering the room, it was a bit "smelly" like musty or humid, dirty smell. The layout is a little odd but it had plenty of room for us. The room is dated, which is fine by me, but it was dirty and stained as you can see in the pictures. Found a couple bugs on the wall. Carpet was dirty and stained as well. It was muggy and turning the ac to 68° didn't really help much. The room got cold and wet is the only way to describe it. Walls are thin so you can hear a lot of the surroundings. Beds were not comfortable. Breakfast was lacking for a SpringHill Suites and the the prices they charge. This is not the 1st time we have used this chain of hotels but this will be the last time we use this particular location. I would not recommend it to anyone especially if you're traveling with children or staying more than one night. I'll say my biggest issue was the lack of cleanliness. They really need to get a better cleaning service and cleaning guidelines.

First thing first, if Ashley is at the front desk, all things are taken care of and she is amazing! I drove from Dc and from the phone call from the road to the time I got to my room, she was there the whole time making sure all things were great and met all my expectations! Thank you so much! bonvoy needs to run a article on Ashley and give her a Raise, I have been a member for over 10yrs and I’m an international traveler and she is the the truth! 🙏🏾✌🏾

Carpet looked like a crime scene in my room. Rest of the place looked clean. Front desk staff & shuttle driver very helpful. Hotel by the airport, but shuttle didn't run early enough to get me to the airport, had to call a taxi.

  • 1/5 Peter 2 months ago on Google • 1 review New
Attending a memorial service in Jacksonville I selected this hotel. What a mistake. No shuttle while the website had it listed and all other hotels in the area have one. Spoke to manager but was told we have had one since August. No discount, nothing! $25.00 dollars each way. I would have stayed in a hotel that had one. She the Manager didn't care. Light dimmers in the room were pushed in and did not function so had to unscrew the bulbs to get them to turn off. Garbage bags not lined in the trash cans. (Do it yourself) Stains all over the couch. After first night returned to the room and although the bed was made up the coffee maker was not cleaned up and no new coffee in place. Door frame had significant damage from being pried open. Was wondering where the body was! Gym equipment old and dated. Some of it missing when you look at on-line pic. DO NOT STAY HERE, RUN!!!!
