Edit 11/21/2023- I drove by a couple days ago and this hotel is STILL fenced off and looks abandoned over a year later. 9/2022- Hotel doesn't exist. I called reserved a block of 25 rooms on March 30th for my wedding which is next weekend at the La Quinta Inn & Suites at 3199 Hartley Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32257. That went smoothly. I reserved a room for myself in that block on August 16th and that went through smoothly as well. Other guests have reserved rooms at that hotel as well and they also had no issues making their reservations. The number everyone called to reserve rooms was the number listed on the hotel website and the automated message confirms it's for this exact location. The confirmation emails also state it's for this location. I happened to do a drive-by of the hotel last night and found the property abandoned. A google review posted last week states that the hotel is shut down until November of this year. According to the hotel across the street, that hotel has been shut down for several months. I was never contacted about it closing and neither were any of my guests. I am now scrambling trying to get my guests rebooked at another hotel. I called multiple times last night and this morning and have been transferred from Group Sales to Customer Care, to General Reservations, back to Customer Care, back to Group Sales and no one has been able to explain how I was able to book rooms at a hotel that doesn't exist anymore. Someone I spoke with on the phone confirmed that initially they could not see that the hotel was shut down, but after some digging they saw that new reservations could not be made because the location was closed. No one that I talked to in Group Sales, Customer Care, or General Reservations yesterday or today was able to transfer the reservations from the La Quinta to the Ramada across the street which is also owned by Wyndham, and no one was able to get me the same rate for the rooms. All I was able to get were the names of the other guests who reserved rooms at the La Quinta in my block and I was able to cancel their reservations. They told me they were unable to contact the rest of the guests who may have booked outside of the block of which I happen to know there was at least one. I have been bounced around the phone for the past 8 hours (2 yesterday and 6 today) and no one is able to help me. I have been waiting on an email reply from the manager of group sales for the past 3 hours and had to call twice during that time to get an acknowledgement of receipt. This is completely absurd.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE THE ROOMS HAVE FLEAS. This was the first night of our trip and we stayed in room 338--we thought it smelled and it was dingy but we were with our dog and recognize that not every pet friendly room is going to be the cleanest, and we are not complainers. However, we thought we saw a flea on our dog while we were there, but couldn't be sure, and a few days later she has a complete infestation. We have had to take a whole day of our vacation to treat her, throw away her bed, wash all of our belongings at a laundromat, and may have to take her to the vet. This is unacceptable for a pet friendly hotel, please make sure you do not stay in that room with your pet. The staff was friendly, this was not their fault, and we didn't realize the issue until it was too late. I wish I would have asked for a different room upon realizing the smell. Really disappointed with La Quinta.

Closed until november 2022 apparently, don't book a room or you will be sleeping in your car. Apparently their booking continues, we booked mid Aug and then come Sept 2nd we get thereafter hours of driving and later in the evening, lots of fences up, no entry without a hard hat. Pain in the rear to re book somewhere else on the phone for a couple hours

Hotel is closed but still accepting reservations. We did a reservation through Priceline and we arrived at 3:30 am after a 6 hour drive to find out that hotel was all fenced. Still nobody knows about it. Horrible customer service from La Quinta and Priceline. Biggest SCAM in Jacksonville. Do not book here! If you get this hotel cancel it right away! Express deals in Priceline will choose this hotel. It is Closed! This was the worst night of my life when traveling. Extremely stressful ordeal, it ruined my plans, and I had a fight with my wife because of it. What a SCAM!

One roach in my room. But after that fast stomp I got to enjoy their decent amenities. Their room is out of date, and the entire floor I was on smelled up moth balls. The carpets felt dirty, but it's still better than a red roof. Service was helpful and patient, and if I remember correctly breakfast was great. The biggest positives here are the clean and soft beds, the decently clean bathrooms, and the breakfast.

Haven't even stayed yet. Called and spoke with Tara behind the reception desk. I informed Tara I would be receiving 2 packages in the mail and she said she would make a note and hold them for me. Super nice! Also had a good sense of humor. I asked her if I could leave a good review of her professionalism with her manager. She advised me to leave a Google review. So this review is more about an individual staff member who had a great attitude and less on the hotel itself. I'll stay there this weekend. If I don't update this review with negative information from the stay, then assume that I had a great, clean experience. Thanks, Tara for your good attitude!

Horrible...Front Desk Clerks good but management sucks. During my stay they decided to clean the carpets at 630pm, enters your room without permission. Not to mention if you park in the back you can be amused by the rats everywhere outside. Only decent thing about this hotel was location and the pool. I have a video of the incident when they entered rooms without permission and making guest vacate during a paid stay to clean carpets and leave your room moist and smelly.

The reviews on booking.com and hotels.com are bogus! This place is 2 chocolate chips away from being a dump. We have a double room, and the beds are uncomfortable for two people. The A/C unit smells musty, and we were told there is no housekeeping available. For safety and hygiene purposes, I literally gloved up and thoroughly cleaned our room before I let my family touch anything. There is NO breakfast as advertised! And a dog in a nearby room barked all morning!! I gave 1 star because the bathroom appeared to be clean, other than the big water stain in the tub. There are also several restaurants nearby. However, if you have other options, choose another hotel. We'll be searching for a vacancy elsewhere.

This place has been very good to my fiance and I. My fiance is disabled and they have accommodated in every way as much as they can. 90% of the staff have been really helpful, professional, and caring. We have been here 3 weeks and every week I ask my fiance of she wants to spend the next week here or look elsewhere and each week she has chosen to stay. I would give this place 5 stars but currently they are doing a bit of deep cleaning in the hotel as well as COVID so the complementary breakfast is temporarily shut down. We just relocated here and we will be using this hotel again in the future with whatever traveling stays we may need. Thank you La Quinta. You have been a great help in our time of need.

Honestly, the only positive about this hotel, was the friendliness of the front desk lady upon our arrival. If you have the opportunity to book elsewhere..other than This hotel...please do so..as you will thank yourself later. The cough inducing moldy smell and carpets which looked like they hadn't been cleaned since they had been installed, are just a few of the issues which plague this property.

I was unable to book a room with them for the same night, but Eunice at the front desk was AMAZING! She searched for the nearest available room for us and helped to book it as well! 5 stars for her service!! Thank you!

Great place to stay, staff is super friendly, rooms are overall clean minus the few bugs I killed, but for the price and location you cannot best it. Definitely will be staying here again!

Good hotel, great breakfast and friendly staff they also do allow dogs. The best La Quinta is the one in St Augustine near the outlets, extremely friendly and wonderful breakfast.

Wish I can give no stars . Made this reservation 2 months ago to come watch my son graduate high school. When we arrived , we were welcomed to a chain fence. Place has been closed for a while I was told. I’m afraid I won’t be able to get my money back.
