The hotel was overbooked and refused to offer another room even at partner hotel. May have been a blessing as the hotel smelt horrible and had many sketchy people just hanging around front and lobby area. Luckily I walked about 5 minutes to a better hotel that was definable a better option. Beware of this hotel as I was not the only one at front desk having this same issue.

Extended stay has been a place to go when I need a place and want to feel safe. The staff recognizes me every time I go. They remember the conversation we had 9+ weeks ago. They are genuine and caring. That is worth the stay!! Thanks Megan for your encouragement. To all of the management staff, thank you!

The carpets have deep dark stains all through the hallways. An area of the first floor hallway is missing ceiling tiles. There is a persistent smell of stale cigarette smoke in the common areas, which is odd because it’s supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. We have an outlet in the room missing a cover, which is a fire hazard. Simply put, it’s a hotel that isn’t well cleaned or maintained.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Extended-stay suites in Jacksonville, and I must say, it was a complete disaster. From the moment I walked into the hotel, I was greeted with a strong, unpleasant odor that permeated the entire building. It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority for the staff, as the hotel was dirty and unkempt. To make matters worse, there were sketchy people loitering around the premises, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. It seemed like the hotel had no control over who was allowed on the property, and this lack of security was deeply concerning. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because they advertised a complimentary breakfast. However, to my disappointment, there was no breakfast available during my entire stay. It was a blatant false promise that left me feeling deceived and hungry. Overall, my experience at the Extended-stay suites in Jacksonville was nothing short of a nightmare. The dirty and unpleasant environment, the presence of sketchy individuals, and the lack of breakfast made it a truly terrible stay. I would strongly advise against choosing this hotel if you value cleanliness, safety, and the fulfillment of advertised amenities.

I made a reservation for a room here, and went to check in. The lady running the front desk wasn't there and had to wait about 10 minutes for her to show up. When she did show up, she asked me to step aside so she could assist a lady who had just walked in. After I had to wait again, she informed me that was the last room. So she ignored the fact that I had a reservation and gave me room to a walkin while I was standing there. I told her I had a reservation and she became rude about it. I had planned on staying several days, but had to make other arrangements, so they ended up getting my business. I called to speak to a manager today and Letitia answered the phone. When I asked for a manager she stated how can I help you. Am I to believe that the manager covers the front desk? She also did not care that I had a reservation, or that the reservation holds the room. If they are worthless, then stop offering them. Extended stay America is now on my do not do business list. Also this isn't even the first time I had an issue here.

If you don’t mind mold, cockroaches, disgusting carpet, odors of unknown origin, kitchen overhead light with no covering, dresser draw falling apart and if there is a fire the bedroom door is not sealed…then this is a hotel for you. We have stayed at many Extended Stays, this by far is the worse one ever. Personally, the place needs to be overhauled. On a positive note, the hotel does have nice prints in the room.

If I could give this place 0 stars i would! There are a million things wrong with this place. 1. We made our reservation online on the hotel website for a set price. When we arrived, the price was drastically higher and the only answer we could get from the front desk was " That didnt work". I attempted to speak with someone else in the morning, and was still unable to get a resolution. 2. This place smells awful! Every floor has a different but equally bad smell. As well as the stairwell. 3. Our room had sticky floors, smelt bad, had broken light fixtures, and missing sheets. 4. This hotel has some pretty rude residents. The floors are fairly thin, so its easy to hear the floor above you. The night we checked in, a very angry woman came and cussed me out for making too much noise. This was at 8:40pm. She complained a few more times through out our stay. The front desk just told me to call the cops if she kept knocking on my door. We had intentions of staying here for quite awhile since we are traveling for work here, but once our shortened reservation was up, we ran out of there! Save your money and stay somewhere nicer!

WORST. HOTEL. EVER. To start, we arrived at 10:30pm and the front door was locked, no one in the lobby/ reception area. There was a sign that said the lobby closed at 11pm and after that would only open with an activated key card. A group of guests that HAD KEY CARDS started to form, as their cards didn't work to open the door as the sign claimed. The desk clerk, Destiny, finally came after a few minutes (I'm going to assume she was on a bathroom break) and let everyone in. She checked us in quickly and was very friendly. We asked where the ice machine was and Destiny informed us that THERE IS NO ICE MACHINE IN THE ENTIRE HOTEL. It was late, so we just wanted to get into bed right away. OUR ROOM WAS DISGUSTING! I CANNOT STATE THIS STRONGLY ENOUGH. The bedsheets had stains right where you would lay your head. The fridge had rust, stains, and dents all over it. Most of the drawers in the 1970's fashion kitchenette didn't align properly and the cabinets were empty of any cups, napkins, coffee maker/coffee, pretty much EVERYTHING you expect at any hotel. There WAS, however, a drawer full of snacks and urine on the crooked toilet seat, both leftover from someone's previous stay. Although there were folded towels and new toiletries put out, this room had not been properly cleaned and it showed. We left within minutes, walking past a big clump of hair in the hallway, and were offered a refund by Destiny, which we greatly appreciated. We ended up spending an extra $60 to stay at the Marriott across the street, which was beautiful and well worth it. We hope Destiny quits this dump and seeks better employment at the Marriott.

The stay was amazing and the front desk workers were great and treated guests as family. I enjoyed the stay and all the workers deserve to have a raise and a bonus on their pay checks

My stay here has been nice and quiet. Front desk has been helpful and there is always someone available to assist. I would recommend someone else to stay here if they are looking for a room for an extended period of time.

I don’t know where to start. I wish I could give this place a zero star review. But when we first got into our rooms, the rooms were nasty. There was roaches and mold. the bathroom wasn’t even clean. The tub had a ring around it, the shower curtain was nasty. The bed had spotting on it. The pull out couch mattress was gross. I asked for a new mattress for the pull out couch. We couldn’t get a new mattress instead they gave us blankets to cover up the grossness on the mattress. The first night the power went out and it was so dark, when we got up. They didn’t even tell us what was the reason why the power went out. when I ask for new towels and wash cloths, they just gave them to me out the laundry basket, and they wasn’t even folded or nothing. there is so much more about these are the main reasons why I do not recommend staying at this hotel. ONCE AGAIN I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

We’ve been staying here for 4 days 3 nights so far and it has been pleasant! The staff is extremely nice & accommodating, the manager definitely knows how to run the place & Megan was beyond helpful each and everytime we need to extend our stay. I’d recommend to anyone! Very quiet and friendly environment for my family!

I’m not one to leave reviews usually, so when I do, it means it was worth me going out of my way to share. Usually, Extended Stay America is fairly decent. This time, I booked my room through Orbitz, who I usually use. When I arrived, I was given a room number and key. I went to the room number I was told and was written on the little envelope the key was in, and the room was occupied! I went back to the desk to let them know and the girl behind the desk at first accused me of lying. Then she begrudgingly gave me a new room assignment. After unpacking in the room, I realized that my phone had notified me that I had been charged for the room again after I had paid in full through Orbitz when I booked. I went to the front desk and the girl there told me I couldn’t get a refund until the manager was in. I left the hotel to go grab some dinner, and when I came back the room key wouldn’t work in the door. I had to go to the front again and get the key reactivated. In addition to all of this, the room in this “non smoking hotel” wreaked of cigarette smoke. Then, when I called to speak with the manager to get my refund, I had to call in four times just to get an answer. When I did talk to the front desk girl, she was very polite and nice which I appreciated. She was working on getting me the help I needed when I got hung up on. When I called back, I believe the manager answered (but never said who she was) and told me the refund would be seen in 3-5 business days. I appreciate the fact that they were willing to get me the refund and handled it fairly well when I finally could talk to someone, but I was very disappointed in this hotel overall. I understand that it was a cheap room, and I wasn’t expecting a Marriott stay, but I was expecting this to be better than it was in comparison to my other stays at Extended Stay America.

Megan was the most friendly front desk attendant for the week we stayed there. She even asked how our room/stay was going. I don't think I've ever had a hotel employee ask that. Megan made us feel welcome. Will definitely stay again!

we stayed for five days, and the room was great in general. there were a few problems, that they probably weren't aware of, but they tried to get them taken care of. we had to move to another room, because of a leak in the ceiling in the bathroom, we got to that room, and the toilet kept clogging, and the microwaved half worked. but in general it was a pretty good room, and very quiet, and the customer service was great. I would stay there again.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve every had the staff is super nice and respectful. I’d recommend this a stay to anyone who’s coming in town for a while. Great house guests and keepers! Thank you guys so much.

There were roaches, absolutely horrible smell in the room and in the hallways. The key did not work for doors outside. There was never a receptionist at the desk. Anytime we would ask for towels or hangers, none were ever available. The door to the bathroom was literally hanging off of its hinges. The continental breakfast didn’t supply coffee, sugar, creamer. There were a few muffins and that was it. I am a patient at the Mayo Clinic and what we had to pay for this hotel was absolutely ridiculous. I will absolutely never recommend this hotel. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

This is strictly a No-No place to stay, unless you are fond of dirty corridor, cigarette smell from bed, and dirty bathroom!! We choose a Deluxe multi bed room, specially since it says in the site that it provides a full kitchen and dining/cooking utensils. Well, everything was a lie! Zero utensils, zero cookware , zero items for cooking!!! You certainly cannot cook with a stovetop! So the ‘kitchen’ was no use to us. As a bonus, we got a broken sofa, which does not folds and of no use. So we paid for a room which comes with a namesake kitchen and broken sofa and smelly bed and dirty bathroom. Do not stay in there!! Bonus - broken bath tub tap!

No towels 1st day/night Didn't get towels until late in day the 2nd night No sheets on beds at all and mattress protectors stained. Had to sleep on the blanket . No dishes at all for kitchenette. Asked for some and they had none the first night and the second night they only had utensils. No plates cups bowls etc Charged me for two reservations. Charged for 2.nights and then charged a cancelation fee. Had to call Manager to get refund. She was not very friendly but she did refund the charge.

When we first pulled in to check in we had to walk by a gentleman in front of the lobby on his phone. He was really mad and cussing. I was highly uncomfortable. As we are traveling with 4 children. Upon check in we went to our room. First the stench of the hallway was absolutely atrocious. We go into the room which was just ok. But for a discounted rate I didn't mind. The "pull out sofa" was only a twin, and not big enough for the 2 guests planned to sleep there. The room also had 2 double beds. The entire room only had 2 pillows. I went to request at least 1 pillow per person (which we really needed more). I was told they have NONE. This is thanksgiving evening at 8:30!! Now I'm on a mission to BUY pillows for all of us. 2 hours and $60 later I have pillows! We finally get back and the gentleman is still outside the lobby which is right below our room. He proceeds to stay out there loudly yelling on the phone. Until after 3:30 THIS MORNING. I tried filing a noise complaint but no one answered the phone and no one was at the desk. After 12:30am someone checks into the room above us. They were allowing their kids to RUN all through the room jumping and banging until after 3:30 this morning. Again I tried to file a complaint but no employees were around. The beds are like sleeping on concrete and that would most likely be better. They make loud noises with every shift of your body. Next the toilet clogs. No one at the front desk and no one answers their phone. The restroom in the lobby is LOCKED. I am left to figure out a clogged toilet on my own!! At this point I'm not happy. This morning I tried finding a resolution. They wanted to make no offers to solve the problems. As I was leaving a woman was screwing at a man to "get out of her face" and "keep his hands off her" I checked out and had to book another hotel at the expense of $400 on top of the $300 I paid for this hotel. I filed a complaint through my booking agent. They tried contacting the hotel to approve a refund, and shockingly they couldn't NOT GET A HOLD OF ANYONE. Do not stay here even as a last resort!!

I don't even know where to begin... I came here during a stressful time in my life and I couldn't have possibly picked a better place to go! Everyone has gone so far above and beyond to make this otherwise dark time, so much better! I especially appreciate Megan for all she's done for me! I feel more welcome and at home here than I do with my own family. I will never forget the people I've met here. Nothing but a staff full of amazing people! 5 stars is an insult, they deserve so much more!!

I want to personally thank Laticia, Jason, Meghan, Jennifer and the new staff members. I apologize to the new staff members for not knowing your name. I deeply appreciate the hard work that you do on a daily basis to provide for me the best possible service as a guest of a hotel. You're committed policy as a guest of Extended Stay America Hotel on Salisbury road that I deserve a secure and safe place to call my temporary home. There is anything that I can do to help you accomplish this goal then please feel free to ask me.

Very clean, friendly, and professional. Meagan was the one that we first saw when we checked in, very pleasant attitude. Didn't have to much interaction with Desmond and Jennifer( I think that was their names) but they were helpful also. The best person that we had the best interaction with was Shaye. She was Extended Stay personified; friendly, met our needs and wants, and overall professionally the type of employee that Extended Stay should be looking for and hire

Megan was pleasant , helpful, resourceful, kind, and caring . Her customer service and willingness to help even tho Priceline made an over booking she made sure to help us . We have a 5 year old son and everything everywhere was over booked and she was able to help us through everything. I’m so appreciative of great people like Megan who go above and beyond to provide outstanding service and customer service — 100 stars to Megan ! She was able to provide us with all the essentials we needed to have a great stay from dishes to pots to all other essentials! Thanks for hiring people as wonderful as Megan and Jennifer who helped with everything!

Awful. Stay away. There's no hot water in a shower, even turned all the way up. The bed in the main room felt like straw. The pull out bed was tiny and not as advertised. It was basically covered large springs. No one got any sleep. The front of the bedroom drawer fell off when we opened it. Plenty of other options in the area- find one.

This location was disgusting, deplorable, drugs and alcohol infested. Group of people hanging in the door way smoking Marijuana. Guest service attendant was oblivious to whats going on. Little knowledge of her immediate surroundings, let alone if the hotel was unkept. Checked in for our stay and after walking into an unclean room, saw Alcohol and beer bottles everywhere. Beds not made , dirty sheets and towels, and tampons on the floors/stained carpet. White powdered substance on all the dressers, counter tops and carpet. Had needles and razors on the floors and counter tops. Bathroom was disgusting. I immediately requested a refund. My daughter and I left to find another hotel location that was pleasant and clean for our stay. Never stay there.

I came in at 3am after a hard day. All hotel in the area did not have rooms available and this amazing Night Auditor Marley made room for me and went above and beyond. She made sure I got checked in, had a clean room, and made sure that I was taken care of. Staff are super friendly and the hotel has great presentation and is very clean. I recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for somewhere safe, comforting and clean.

First of all, let me start off by saying the staff here is amazing. They are always respectful and super polite. Megan who works at the front desk always make sure she goes above and beyond to do her job. Miss Tish the general manager make sure all her staff is fully trained and are very professional. If I had to pick a place to work this would be the ideal job with the dream team.

I'm on a friend's phone so my correct name is Virginia Swanson and I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this specific location, this is the best local extended stay, hands down. The staff is very friendly helpful and accommodating! And that reflects well on management, whom I've had delightful experiences with as well! As someone who has circumstantially been being forced to live in hotels for quite an extended period of time, I have had my best experience here. I've been cared for and made to feel like a valued customer, contrary to a recent experience I had at a different local location. I'd like to thank every staff member at this location for Making my stay with you feel like a home. It means more to me than yall may ever know. Keep up the great work you beautiful people and God bless your souls!

Megan is amazing. Professional and kind hearted. However ownership should know...My husband traveled over night from Atlanta. Around 1 AM we both started calling front desk, this went on until 640 AM, calling every 15 to 30 minutes. He arrived at 6am and the overnight staff first informed him his reservstion was canceled since he didnt show up. He explained we had been calling for hours but noone answers the phone. She also did not listen when he explained that the cc authorization form is on file she continue to hit card the was meant to hold the room. Eventaully she threated to kick him out since card keep declining so he had to explain again. He was tired and just wanted to sleep. She eventually called someone to get help and finally 40 mins later give him a key to a very unkept room, room 210. Couch was ripped, floor was filthy!!! Have you ever heard of a vacuming cleaner, you can rent them at homedepot, room 210 needs it very badly. Trash and junkies all over the place. If the room was clean he would of stayed but everything is just bad, very bad expect for Megan she was awesome.

The only reason 5 stars is for the Manager Mrs . Wright beautiful soul as a hotel manager. The hotel itself is family friendly. House keeping is nice and the staff Except two one Front desk supervisor and front desk agent no names but these girls make the brand itself looks bad I don't see how they got past security. It's one thing to think about a customer but to act on it is unacceptable on all kind of levels. Your not a psychiatrist, therapist, anger management to sum it up they were acting like correctional officers at I high security prison. These two individuals have the wrong idea about hospitality business. They probably should have got a understanding about the word hospitality. These two are rude and ghetto could and is a liability to company because of there actions. 2 bad apples make the whole basket rotten.

I suppose the "extended stay" business model is different from other hotel properties. But no in-room coffee? No preprinted instructions about breakfast and internet? No bathroom waste basket? No hair dryer? And overall filthy. We had booked two nights but checked out after one. Recommend looking elsewhere.

Price online not bad, area seems ok, room appears pretty clean. It has a small kitchen which would be nice. The staff has been friendly and very nice so far. However, the quality is horrible! The pullout couch bed is yellow and brown with no bedding around! The small microwave is burnt inside and missing tray, also burnt looking spot on putside of the door. Also the lamps on both sides of the bed do not work! One lamp doesn't even have a power switch- it's broken! This is the 3rd room offered, the first one had fleas on the bed the 2nd one smelled of tobacco smoke, even tho a non smoking room. Would not recommend & will not be back.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I booked a room over 2 weeks ago online. I show up after the gator bowl and front desk says all rooms with double beds have been canceled. Front desk says they refunded me and apparently they called. No missed calls though. Does me nothing because now I have no where to stay because they clearly over booked. Don't ever schedule a visit to this hotel if any major event is going on. I will never attempt to stay here again.

It was priced very well. Only issues were the carpets needed to be cleaned, and the ventilation fan from the living room area(where the air conditioner was) to the bedroom, didn't work. Friendly people at the front desk, and a good location.

This place was so dirty. The odor of the room smelt like strong feet & cigarettes. It was a lot of hair in the tub nothing was wiped down, the sheets & pill cases had spots on it when I went to go ask for more the lady at the desk said she only had a blanket & gave me 2 pillowcases. The water is not hot. Everything in there is old & the Wi-Fi don’t work! I was done! I would gladly wait those business days for my money back! my small family & I had to go. I DONT RECOMMEND.
