The only reason I'm giving this place any stars is because of the extremely friendly staff. That is it's only redeemable factor. We needed a place to stay on short notice that was cheap, clean and safe. So our standards and expectations weren't high. The doors paint was peeling and it didn't close properly, we actually had roaches crawl in from outside at night. The toilet leaked at the base every time we flushed it, so the bathroom had an odor of sewage most of the time. The microwave was actually rusted on the inside and the enamel was separating, dangling from the top. No smoke detector, phone was broken, holes in the wall, no light bulbs in the lamp. Like I said the staff was great and cared about their customers and tried to make things right. But it's obvious that the owner don't care and haven't given them the resources needed. 5 Stars for the staff, 0 stars for the owner!

Disgusting hotel, everything is run down. We stayed one night and felt uncomfortable. The bathroom tub didn’t drain and paint was peeling off the ceiling. The sink didn’t drain either and our hairdryer was broken. Filthy feel, stains on the lamps and furniture. I didn’t sleep all night. Scary characters hanging around the building.Homeless people and drugs happening all around the building. False photos on the website. The breakfast was super gross. No eggs or healthy options. Yuck! I felt like I needed to shower after leaving!!!

The lady at the front desk was very nice and she deserves 5 stars. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. The rooms are filthy and we saw bugs everywhere. You can see under the door so we had a steady flow of bugs crawling in, we had to put a towel to try to block them. Smells musty and fixtures are rusty. Grossest place every. My family is picking on me for not reading the reviews. Only reason we stayed after seeing it was we were too tired to leave after traveling 10 hrs.

I booked this for one night pre-cruise for me and my 9 yo grandson. It was terrible. There is no shuttle from airport. Had to pay Uber. On arrival, the manager went to check a room for us while we waited in the lobby at 11:00 pm. She came back 10 mins later and said “I don’t like that room for you.” She went to check another one after saying, “101 says empty but I think somebody is in there already. Let me go check it.” It’s the room beside the office. She came back and gave us that room. There were shady ppl just loitering in the parking lot watching us to our room. I literally pushed the table against the door for extra security. The room smelled terrible. There were spiders in the tub and one ran out from under my suitcase when I moved it the next morning. We stayed there for free shuttle to cruiseport and free breakfast but was told after checkin that they don’t have a shuttle any more. The breakfast was terrible and minimal. This is the worst place I’ve stayed at and I paid over $100 plus $70 for Uber from airport and to cruiseport. DONT STAY HERE.

Stuff was friendly That's why it's three stars. But it's my Second time coming here. I usually don't go to hotels twice in the city I like to travel a lot so I get deals paid. 134 for two nights but looking at past reviews everything is true. They need an upgrade instead of trying to block out the smell...... at first I thought it was just because no one was in there so I left the heater on while I was out the room for some time but when I came back the earthy smell was still there I thought maybe it was just the bed dashboard that stink so I'll wipe it down with a towel. It was very dirty......but I used to work with mold remediation so I just started looking in the corner and walls and as soon as I look up there it was mold on the ceiling of room 129. And this is the second time I changed my room. The first one it was an active leak coming from the ceiling near the bathroom in room 124 but third time was a charm. No bad smell But like I said stuff was cool about it and was patient with me. The place just need some upgrades with the rooms I'm not trying to risk getting sick🤷🏾‍♀️ and at this point They need an upgrade very fast after what I saw because mold spread like wildfire it will only take less then a week to get bad specially since Florida is muggy and humid and mold love it and for those that think bleach will kill it. No, it will not. You have to get a very concentrated peroxide to kill mold. Also do not paint over it. All you doing is just put in the Band-Aid on it and just going to spread somewhere else Even through the paint but if you don't have license to get the concentrated peroxide, your best move is cutting the affected drywall and put a new one up. But if you wait too long you will not know where else it has spreaded and it is going to come back

If you want to sleep, it is much better sleep in your car. Room smell very bad. I couldn’t sleep at all. Inside the room was huge device to clean the bad smell, they shouldn’t sell out the room with this condition. Building is very old as well and inside need be remodel. I was few minutes late after Nine Am desk receptionist didn’t let me to have breakfast. I have to argue and gets mad then Spanish lady who manage the breakfast room was nice and she let me in and served me a breakfast. I don’t recommend this place at all.

We made a reservation online not knowing what we were getting into. We had booked a non-smoking room. There was an unmistakable smell of smoke as soon as we entered the lobby. We were shown two rooms both at which were on opposite sides of the building. Both smelled like smoke. I had a cold at the time and was especially sensitive to smoke. We tried to get a refund on the basis of reserving a non-smoking room when there is a smell of smoke. They refused. If you are a non-smoker, save yourself a headache and don't go anywhere near this hotel.

When I made the reservation for two days in advance there were no details listed about needing to put down a deposit. When I got there to check in I was told it was $100 deposit. Had to leave from checking in to find a store to be able to put cash onto my card and I'm not from Jacksonville so I had no idea where to go. Once I did that I came back to finish checking in so it took hour and a half all together just to be able to get the room. I stayed for 2 days and upon checking out I was told that I would not receive the deposit back because I smoked in the room. But I don't smoke at all so I don't see how that's possible. After I left to get on the train to leave Florida Days Inn tried to charge my card for four separate amounts. I called you asked him why and they said it was because I smoked in the room so they were trying to take more money after they already kept my $100 deposit. I will not be returning to that day then but will continue to use my Wyndham app to get Rewards

Absolutely disgusting. We are (writing this in the room on 12/16/22) traveling from VA to Tampa. We stopped here tonight, what a mistake. It’s 10pm and the parking lot sounds like a club, the people/ cars are so loud, the music is so insane. The room is absolutely repulsive. Random long black hair everywhere. Including the tub, next to the bed, on the bed… there’s this dresser thing that’s broken that is blocking the adjacent room door. The room smells super weird. Why’d we stay? Well… my 2 young kids were in the car for 10 hours and finally had enough. Most other places here were booked or cost 175 for the night, this place was $104- we figured it wouldn’t be spectacular, but we didn’t expect it to be an absolute dump. Absolutely do not come here.

For an economy hotel, this one was a pleasant surprise. Never know with economy hotels. It is under new ownership and management. I met and talked with the new manager and he’s excited about all the changes coming soon; super nice guy. We stayed a week, two different rooms. The first room was our favorite. However, both room toilets are very low to the ground. They remind me of preschool sized potties for the little kids potty training and they are slow to flush, quick to back up, so watch them. The shower water pressure is good, but not all bathroom fans work which causes mildew on the ceiling. They are working on updating everything, soon this may no longer be an issue. The rooms are a good size and clean. Our first room had new mattresses and good pillows, but not the second. So I think they’re working their way through room by room to make updates. I’d stay here again if need be. The lot was pretty clean. Breakfast was decent. They scrambled real eggs and filled my tummy. There is quite a bit of noise from the 95 and Airport Rd.

This motel is pretty gross to be honest and I was concerned about having my toddler with me at this place because it was so run down, I held on to my kid for dear life in that place. The lady at the front desk was nice and the free shuttle service was great but other than that the stay was terrible. The smoke detector in the room was covered up with tape and cardboard. The door was broken off the closet. The room smelled so strongly of urine that I couldn’t sleep most of the night. The parking lot was kind of scary even though there was a security guard watching it. People yelling outside my room at all hours of the night. I had to inspect the bedding to make sure there wasn’t bed bugs (there wasn’t, thank god.) The bedding wasn’t adequately cleaned so there were popcorn crumbs in the bed as if someone was eating in it right before I got there. Random homeless people hanging around the area. I found it odd that their listing on third party sites boasted about being 50 ft from the Jacksonville Airport but it was actually a few miles away. It was ok since I only had to stay there for 8 hours or so on short notice, but I’d never stay there again by choice if I had to stay longer. It cost me around $100 for the night but it absolutely was not worth that much money.

Absolutely disgusting! Lobby bathroom had no light, staff said maintenance man not working today. Used cell phone light. Every vending machine inside lobby out of order. A piece of raisin toast lying in rack from breakfast. This was at 3pm. Checked room out of fear before giving my credit card. Furniture not fit for sober-house first day folks. The bathroom photo is part of lobby, breakfast area. No lights, no paper towels, and that's the only room that didn't say out of order. Avoid like the plague!

I have been staying here for two weeks and can honestly say it is quiet, staff is super friendly, housekeeping does a thorough job, and the ladies at the front desk are always super sweet and helpful. They have breakfast, which I wish there were more options but most of the time they do have danishes, muffins, and yogurt to go with the waffles and toast. I highly recommend staying here if you want to feel like you are at home even when you are away. Thank you to the wonderful staff for always being nice and having a smile on your faces. 💜

Dirty floors. The rooms are in bad condition. Bathroom and sink falling apart. The room ceiling had a clear sign of a water leak. Need renovation. The front desk staff were good and friendly. Front desk both vending machine out of service. The location is good since it is close to the airport.

The rooms were clean enough to eat off the floor. I have not been to a Days Inn that has been more than a half star for anything. The customer service was out of this world also. And the breakfast was pretty good also. I will definitely be back to this location

  • 1/5 Izzy B. 4 months ago on Google
These people are rude. No type of customer service. Roaches in room. No one speaks English. Bathrooms so small with no ventilation that the whole bathroom is wet after a 2 minute shower. Find somewhere else. TERRIBLE unprofessional manager needs to be fired ASAP. Management just walked into our room for the hell of it apparently to see who was in the room. Never in my life have I experienced this in a hotel.

  • 1/5 Emily R. 1 year ago on Google
The only reason I am even giving a star is because of the great customer service! The room was HORRIBLE. - The door had a huge gap under so bugs could easily crawl into the room. - Bathroom has MOLD and vent is full of dust. - A/C barely worked due to MOLD and even more dust. - Actual (I think) blood on the wall. - Floors and sheets were dirty, found some else’s HAIR in the “clean” bed. - Finally, the outlets were missing covers, the curtains wouldn’t stay shut, and the room smelled like a mixture of mold and smoke. This hotel is awful and not worth the money. If you need a quick fix you can get a MUCH cheaper room somewhere else for the same standard. Again, the customer service was great and friendly.

The exterior of this hotel need upgrade, being here before for a quick night stay and I noticed now the poor condition of the building compared with other hotels in the area. The room was clean, the bed was ok and the bathroom passed the test. Overall I give 3 stars , the exterior just needs improvement.

  • 4/5 Gutto79 7 months ago on Google
So, I will share my experience during the time I was here... on the reviews there is a lot true related of the exterior and interior of the building in need of a face lift, but is nothing like some reviews mentioned. First of all have a very simplicity without any high-end furniture with everything a 100% funcional and clean. If you use the right hotel app you can find a great deal, and yes the fact they don't have a hotel shuttle can be a little bit more challenge to go around if you don't have a rental car or your own. But many restaurants and shopping bussiness are located with less than a mile; nothing that can't be reach within a 20 to 30 minutes walking. Some reviews also mentioned about bugs, but keep in mind that the tropical environment and hot weather are prone to have bugs more often than other places with different weather and different environment; I am on a room located on first floor with a view of the pool, also a grassy area not just around the pool but a small inclusive dog area. Now, if every time when goin out or comeback in the room I leave the door right open for a long time chances are that a bug may come inside. The button line from my review; you will get what you pay for it. The room I am is very simple, everything works including the microwave, small fridge and TV, bathroom is clean and have hot water; and I didn't have any problems about bugs and or bad smell in my room also, clean towels and bed sheets and front desk staff are very nice people to talk with. I can't say nothing about the other rooms since it's always a possibility of a problem some where but instead of people review their bad experience just report the room problem direct to hotel front desk in order to be taken care when possible and don't be afraid to ask for another room if something is not within your expectations since you are paying for it. Yes, I do recommend this hotel and definitely consider to stay here again on my next trip to Jacksonville, FL.

It you want to sleep, just sleep in your car. First of all the desk clerk was nit friendly at all. I mean I'm not asking you to become my best friend, but being in the Customer Service business for over 25 plus years I can tell you she needs some training in the field. I was not impressed by the room. Door looked like someone tried to break in or vreak out. There were what seemed to be patches of repairs everywhere in the room and bathroom. And that hard bed I swear you not it was best to sleep in the car. Mattress was so hard and you can feel the springs. The people talking loud outside didnt make it better. I didn't sleep at all this night. Thank God I only stayed one night. I do not recommend this place at all.

Everything about this hotel was great and would have got a 5 star review if we hadn't all been woken up by all of us having a headache and nausea because they decided to bug bomb the room right next to us at 8am! We couldn't get packed up fast enough!

Cable TV and wifi was out for two days. They didn't offer any compensation for the lack there of. But if it were not for that. It would have been perfect. Very clean room. Fantastic staff. Very very comfortable beds.

Don't forget to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. They compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you choose this place you for sure will love it I'm sure! This hotel is awesome, I was greeted by Destyn at the front desk and he poured out a joyous attitude and welcoming attitude, you could tell He loves His Job and cares for the guests. Room was ultra spic & span. No dust, dirt or anything anywhere! Definitely recommend!

Small motel located close to the airport. We had only a few minutes drive to the Jax airport, which is the reason for our quick overnight here. Reservation and check in process was quick and easy, and the front desk staff were very nice. The grounds and landscaping are kept very nice. This is one of the least costly motels we found in the vicinity of the airport. It's an old school motel, and though it's been updated at some point, it's time again for it to be renovated. We found the motel clean, but needing painting and new furniture. We were looking for an inexpensive quick overnight so we could get to the Jax airport without delay, and this place fit the bill. We found it nice and clean and that was most important to us. With some minor renovations, this could be much nicer. See photos.

The pillows seems to be very old, the bed is definitely old. If I would of pay $60 dollars I wouldn't complain but for almost $100 per night I would of stayed else where. This is definitely the worst Days inn I have even stayed in. Also seems like people have smoke in thus room. People stay way of room 212 smells very old and also like cigarettes.

  • 4/5 Sabrina R. 1 year ago on Google
The accommodations was decent and the staff was very friendly. The first night the towels smelled soured, the staff replaced them and we had to get the keys to the room reprogrammed several times. Overall it was a pretty good room and hotel for the price we paid.

This hotel is gross and run down. Not worth what they charge plus they charge a $100 deposit per room. We got off the cruise ship and had no place to go but our hotel and they charged a $25 early check-in fee and refused to waive it. They tried to tell us that they didn't have a long available until we asked them to refund the difference and magically they found a King. When we got to the room there was peeling paint and the heater didn't work. Again they tried to move us to a double and I said are you guys going to lower the price then magically they found another king bed. You're better off staying at the hotel across the road which is a Marriott hotel. Didn't really feel safe since the rooms were just open to the outside like a motel 6. The rooms are super thin walls we could hear both neighbors coughing all night and it felt like there was no privacy. We learned our lesson we won't stay there again.

If I could give a 0 rating I would. Family trip to Jacksonville for the weekend. First I would like to point out that the property and room we stayed in looked nothing like what was advertised online. Our room was very unsanitary. Roaches in room. Closet had a door broken off, bathroom door was busted and broken at the bottom preventing it from shutting, door to enter the room was missing locks(looked like the lock had just been yanked off), anything that looked like it was metal had rust on it, lamp shades where dirty with what looked like black model on them, bathroom had black gunk lining the inside of the tub, it’s a non-smoking motel yet the room smelt of smoke and there was several cigarette burns on chairs and bedspread, tv would not connect(when we called about the issue staff acted annoyed). $100 deposit was held. We tried to do a late check out and they refused to work with us. We were told if we did not get out by 11:00 on the dot they would call the cops on us. Very aggressive and uncalled for. My family was rushed out none of us were able to even shower and then on top of that they kept our $100 deposit. This model needs to be shut down. I do not understand or see how they are still in business. The rooms are disgusting, the staff have no customer service skills what so ever, and they will do anything in their power to take your money. Hospitality- ZERO. When all my complaints where brought to the manager Ms. Donna she had no excuse for how terrible our room/ stay was and even though nothing was as described online and upon booking refused to give our $100 deposit back. I have made several calls one being to have the motel randomly inspected and another to a local attorney. We have traveled and stayed in lot of hotels and never have we been treated the way we were treated at Days Inn in Jacksonville 1170 airport road. I do not care how long I have to work on this getting this place shut down will be my full time job.

As soon as I walked into the hotel,I seen two smiling faces. Samaria J and Victoria M. These two woman really made me feel so special. I didn't have a reservation, but they got me a room within minutes. The room is very nice too. Very clean. And the bed is very comfortable. If you come by. Stop in and say hello to these girls. They really love their job and their kindness meant a lot...

Before I came to the days inn I checked out two other hotels and the staff was rude and not helpful. But when I came to the Day's inn I was greeted immediately and was given great service. My stay here has been great. And the rates are fair.

We entered into a dark lobby teeming with cochroaches. The staff were nice and helped us when our room card continuously failed to work. We were forced to carry our luggage up and down the stairs over and over while trying the card again and again until they replaced it. There were people hanging in the halls smoking or just sitting and staring at us and we did not feel safe. When we finally got into the room, it was hot and humid and smelled of cigarettes and urine. Everything felt damp and musty. The air conditioner didn't work and the inside door handle FELL OFF. After that, we promptly left. The experience was so bad that I even made a poem about it. Goodbye sad and dusty room, Goodbye scent of cheap perfume, Goodbye smokers in the halls, Goodbye weird stains in the walls. Goodbye lobby of broken chairs, Goodbye humidity in the air, Goodbye to all of the 6-inch roaches, Goodbye to horrors this hotel encloses. They will tell you not to fret about the things that you regret, but I will make an exception and loathe that I went to this sacrilegious conception.

  • 1/5 D H. 1 year ago on Google
Room was a wreck. Air conditioner was so full of dust we couldn’t turn it on. Sheets were not clean. Curtains were filthy. Hole in wall. A waste of 7,000 pts. Worst was the outlet had no cover. The wires were showing. I told front desk about the outlet so no kid would electrocute themselves. Never staying there again. Very disappointed in Wyndham needs complete overhaul or tear down

  • 1/5 ashley r. 1 year ago on Google
Would NOT stay here again. This is a disgrace to Wyndham properties. The pool was closed for 2 days for "cleaning" . The laundry was closed. The room was stuffy. The AC barely works. I had it on high 60 degrees 24/7 it never got cool. I've NEVER stayed any where that denied a late check out request. They said it would be $50 extra, even still after when I brought up all these complaints, they were unwilling to make an accommodation. So disappointing.
